I went in to the Cox store today because lightening killed my modem. I was very happy with the service i received during my visit. Not only did I get a new modem I was able to get a newer version at the same price. Julene was amazing so friendly and helpful. 5 stars.
The Paddock Ave store specifically in Meriden was extremely helpful today with replacing our broken equipment. The female at the customer service desk showed exceptional customer service and professionalism. She is a top notch employee and Cox is lucky to have this individual on their team.
Went to change my plan and the store had some computer issues, it happens. had to do some follow-up with Customer service. After I went in to review what changed I made with the manager and he gave me a better rate then CS had. The manager earned this 5 star review.
Really just an absolute rip off. This company has been continuously incorrectly over-billing for multiple months. Extremely poor and complicated customer service only complains they don’t have control due to corporate policies. I’ll never, ever recommend this company to anyone I care about and I’ve also heard several trustworthy people who were previous employees comment how toxic the company culture is.

I’ve been with Cox for years and at first it started off really good. I’m a gamer so I need good connection and I never had a problem with lag before but for like the past year it’s been nothing but horrible connection to the point where it’s just pointless to be getting charged. I get charged $250 for wifi I can’t even use to watch YouTube. Don’t waste your time with Cox and please go somewhere else. Cox hasn’t even tried to truly help me fix my connection issues that just do the same thing over again which is “send a signal to the router” and once I reset it and try again it’s still horrible. They just steal money and waste your time.

I was 2 weeks without a service they scheduled the Technician and now my service goes on and off, I work from home I had to changed my provider and now is working the way it was supposed to, half price!!
Nothing but issues they shut my internet off atleast once a week and claim theres an outage in my area. Yet still expect me to pay for the a product I am yet to receive. Pay for 300mbps lucky if I hit the teens when Im actually gaming. Worst internet do not get involved.

You would be better off with dial-up than you would be with cox. This is literally the worst service and it is the most expensive. If you are looking for a company to turn off your internet each month even though you paid then cox is right for you. If you like paying for a service and in return the company provides that service, well cox definately is not the right choice.
Wifi cut off every day even though we had the VERY high priced plan for up to 11 devices. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. They didnt care about ANYTHING I had to say. I switched to Frontier for half the price with NO fees. Wish I switched a long time ago. I should say this was all online and not in the store. The CORPORATION is what sucks.

Horrible They called me to confirm and apt with a technician I waited home and no one came. Been calling them back and no one answers the phone since 4pm... not sure how Cox do business but when I lived in a different city I had Xfinity and they never did business like this.

The staff at the Cox Store in Meriden, specifically Daniela, Yudi, and manager Yashira, were great to work with. Daniela sold me a great package as a new customer, unfortunately it did not translate as such a great deal when I got my bill. Wrong codes, wrong charges, etc.....HOWEVER, when i went back into the store, the young ladies mentioned above could not have been more helpful or eager to make it right. Yudi did what she could, but needed manager input (Yashira) to fix the problem. It took about a week for the corrections to go through, (billing operations at Cox, not the stores fault) but they finally did. Id like to commend all three of these staff members for being courteous and professional, especially in the face of COVID related stress added to already angry customers who usually go in to complain about something that the store has no control over. They were great about maintaining social distance, only allowing x number of customers in the store at one time (even though everyone standing outside was complaining to them about it) and apologizing for the delays in service.The reason for the 3 stars is because the actual service to the house, internet and cable, has been a little spotty but hopefully will improve. The staff at the store deserve 5 stars for what they have to deal with everyday.

They dont awnser the phone at all. I had to call the toll free number for help. But in person service is on point and safe and they do care about your living situations.
Had to wait outside in the rain with other people. I believe they only let 10 people inside including employees which sucked. Once inside it was clean, staff was friendly and the service took only 5 mins tops.
I signed up for the $89 Bronze package and yet my bill every month is $132! I was told fees and taxes but I see on my bill that I am being charged for a second TV which I dont have! When I questioned it I was told that was the way they had to write it to collect their taxes and fees. Is this even legal? Certainly isnt moral! Cant wait for my contract to be up so I can get rid of them!
Unbelievable how useless this location is .... 4 times over a week I attended to drive the 30 minutes to this store only for it to be closed even tho the phones and google both claim it to be open and when You call the 800 number they tell you that the store it also open even tho it’s not .... long story short I went with frontier after all the nonsense and ended up saving 1/2 almost .... cox will never get my business again after all this
The nice woman who help me was very wonderful. Store did open a little late with people standing outside. Not sure what the lady in middle was doing other telling people to sign in...I think she could of been helping customers rather then tick ticking away on her computer. Other then that like I said, the nice woman who help me was wonderful!!
The prices are crazy high. The cable goes in and out at time and I have been a customer for 25 year and they take forever to answer unless you are paying your bill. Very disappointing.
Worst internet Ive had since the early 2000s.. hands down
For 6 out of the last 7 days there have been Cox Cable TV and internet outages in Sun City only from the period of 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. I contacted Cox Chat services those 6 times and never got any useful information, constantly being given the standard ‘unplug’ your equipment to boot the system; that hasn’t worked at all. Today, frustrated, I called Cox and was told (for the first time) by the person to whom I talked that he had a report that the system fix would not be completed until June 28th. First time I was told that after 6 chat sessions. My question now is why Cox doesn’t provide that information to subscribers proactively? Also, where’s the rebate for 20% service outage for times on each of the days we cannot use our tv and internet services?
* NOT A STORE REVIEW * * Company Review*I’m paying for 300 download and 30 upload. I understand that I cannot receive the full 300 all the time and I’ll be fine with 100-200 download. In this case it drops down to 19-30 download. It will STAY at 30 until I reset my modem manually EVERY DAY. I monitor my internet every day and record the speed test and it shows that for weeks it will stay at 30. I had 3-4 techs come out and check the cables outside/inside and even replaced my modem twice. They found nothing wrong and all they can do is send more techs out to figure out the problem. This Problem been going on for months with no resolution.
Cox internet itself is good, however, they dont specifically tell you when you sign up that data is not unlimited. I didnt realize this until I went over data usage. Beware if you stream, you will probably go over your data. I used to pay my bill by phone, however, twice Cox has tried to charge me $25- for payment bouncing, when there was sufficient money in my account. My bank said the money was never requested. They had my information in their system.The second time I had to call 4 times before they would take the $25- off my bill. Cox is expensive.
Employees have exceptional customer service they open the door for you as you arrive and leave the store . The dont haggle you for business they know they are good . They have many things for purchase to make your cable or internet experience even better .

If I could give 00000 five time I would do it. These people dont work. I have to call every month to fight with them because the bill increases my amount to pay. Today I asked to speak with a supervisor and she indicated that someone is entering my account adding additional services, I asked her how was that possible? Where I live are the only ones accepted if it were not for that reason I would cancel them. So do not let them increase and call to fight with them.
Horrible customer service in store. Sales rep had an attitude and did not want to take the time to help because it was 20 mins before they closed. Had to call corporate tonget anything done. Cox has no idea what they are doing. Talked to 8 people with in 2 days and still got no self install kit nor did I get an installation date.... horrible....

Always a great experience! Dont call the customer service number...go into the store after work one day. I was in and out in minutes. Saturdays are very busy! Staff is very friendly. They deal with a lot of garbage everyday so go in there calmly and dont yell and dont criticize them and they will help you the best they can.

Staff doesnt seem to know what they are doing. Any time theres an issue or complaint, they refer me back to the online or phone support, debating the whole reason I drive all the way to the court store to begin with! Abysmal customer service, outrageous fees for cable and internet. If they didnt hold a MONOPOLY on my area, I would NEVER do business with them! They recently charged me a $75 fee to check on THEIR equipment.. They they said would be FREE when I booked the appt! In the store, they would waive it IF I agreed to sign up for the insurance package, but when I declined, they said they couldnt reverse the error! I have a good mind to report them to the States Atty Generals Office of Consumer Protection!! Its all about the money and they care NOTHING for the people they serve!!!
Horrible prices. Horrible service reps. You have to go there because who else? Got gigabit speed but a data cap of 1000gigs so you have to buy unlimited data at an extra charge.

The service was great when i only had internet. Before i moved into my new apartment, i thought i would add cox homelife to feel safer in the new neighborhood. The woman on the phone told me the bill would be around 104 a month, nothing more. That was perfect and affordable so i got it. As soon as i moved, the new bill that came in was over $640. I thought it was a mistake so i called them and of course the rep says its all normal and explains the bill to make it seem like it was all good and dandy. No one ever told me that the bill would be over $600. I was only told it would be 104, with a clear explaination of any fees. This company lost my respect after that, and lost me as a customer. After that, Ive been hearing about a lot of other people who have had this same thing happen to them. In my opinion, Cox doesnt even deserve that one star. Try going to a different provider instead.

Spoke with a representative over the phone who provided a price for services and equipment. I went to the store to pick up equipment and no one there had any record of my order. I reviewed the order details with representative at the store and she could not honor the price for the order I had placed on the phone. She recommended that I call customer service even though Im at the store, so I did. This time I was offered another package that was different from the last one and cost more money, too. Completely incompetent people and should be out of business if it were not for territorial monopolies on cable/internet services.
They don’t even deserve one star. Because of a Representative that set my husband up and made a mistake now we owe 600+ and they won’t fix it. We did what was needed on our part but because of a reps mistake that they were clearly aware of now we have a huge charge on the account and nothing can be done. It’s ridiculous don’t even waste your time with them. It’s not worth it.
I went to discuss a problem with my bill, rep at store corrected and adjusted. Then next day the adjustment was removed. The reps at location only have limited power..I called and requested a supervisor finally got the error fixed. Overall the location was okay, the issue is with the company itself not so great.
Your automated voice machine is horrible, and if thats not worse when you do finally connect the line is always busy. To bad I cant get half a star because a full star your business doesnt deserve.

As a new customer to cox cabel i had 3 bad incidents before i even go my cable installed. wrong address, fixed that took me 3 hours on the phone day of instillation did not come claimed in 2 different phone calls. 1) wrong address 2) wrong date What when i spend 3 hours on phone with a person who claims that they were a competent worker
Excellent Internet service and performance. They exceed every advertised speed.Cable service a bit dated with additional devices needed for HD and many channels beyond basic cable.
When in today to get cable & internet, and a nice guy name Andre was very professional & very helpful that he went thru every single step on how to connect everything since I took the boxes today and didnt have to wait for installation. I think he should get promoted he really knows what his doing, he did a very awesome job! Thats real customer service.
Horrible. Their service is worthless. Over priced. I used to have their internet that they claimed to be their fastest... out was incredible slow. I switched over to frontier. Their fastest internet provided is the best Ive had through all of the providers used. Dont bother with Cox, if you have a choice of providers then go somewhere else.
They do not keep promises...services are overpriced and need to upgrade their internet it sucks...I want to stop this service but they have Meriden covered with their horrible expensive service!! I hate this company!!!!

One star for now. They will not disclose package deals if you are already a customer. They kept my elderly mother locked in at an absurd rate for TV and Internet. Spent 2.5 hours on phone with customer service trying to lower her plan and every step of the way they resisted my request for the lowest possible plans. Shes been paying over 200.00 a month. Will repost with results of an in person visit to their Connecticut office.
Why pay for Cox 300Mbps internet, only to be penalized with a 1Tb cap? You cant even use the service you paid for without being penalized. Do the math. When you are penalized, Cox charges you even more money. This makes no sense. Travel 2 hours west into Orange County NY. They have Spectrum cable internet with absolutely no penalization. Even more disturbing is that your Cox internet bill will end up being over $100, while the same speed 2 hours away in NY is only $65 with no cap. So... Why is Cox Cable screwing their customers?
I must say I dreaded returning my equipment to the Cox Solutions Store in Meriden. I had never been there but I figured it would be like the Comcast stores. To my surprises I was in and out in about two minutes. They were very friendly. Was a great experience.
My CSR was very helpful. Only problem was she.gave me a technician appt.between to 0 a.m. and noon, but it was somehow entered onto the system for 1-3 p.m. same day. I stayed home all morning waiting. Our tech, Scott, was terrific...repairing many issues the initial technician several months ago left to our complete fury. I hope he has been retrained or fired. He left saying this was too confusing for him, and he wanted to sign out for the day. Very unprofessional. Scott, this week, EXTREMELY knowledgeable and helpful!!!!
For over 3 weeks, I have been attempting to obtain basic TV and internet services, all to no avail. Over this period, I have spoken with approximately 13 different customer service representatives and supervisors, endured three long installation and repair visits and have spent approximately a dozen hours describing the same problems only to receive inarticulate, incompetent, unintelligible, useless and idiotic responses. To date, the problems continue to be unresolved.
I recently moved and decided to give this company a try. I’ve had the service for about a month and from the start the router has not allowed my high def tv to connect to the higher bandwidth on the router. Also i only have one tv streaming and it has to buffer and sometimes disconnects.The second cable box has stopped working and a phone tech did everything they could and now says they have to send out a tech. I dont have time for this. Its a month old.I will be canceling this service as soon as i have the time to make for a new cable company install.
They give you this promotion for a year and after that they try to get you with oh, the promotion ended now your bill is almost 200 from 116. As far as Im concerned they are a bunch of crooks and more and more people.should cancel their service with them. They play these games like there is nothing we can do. All these managers and employees who come out with these rediculous rates for these services should be ashamed and pray that more people open up their eyes and realize Cox communications rips people off and that is what they do best I hope they go out of business for taking advantage of customers.
Told me one thing in the phone when I got there(the cox office) they wanted a $100 more. I spent 2 hrs on the phone getting transfored from one person to another back to the first one to someone else it was crazy they need to retrain there employees so they all know what the hell there doing...

This rating is for customer service at the Cox store in Meridan, CT that I visited to return equipment. The staff was courteous, greeted me upon entering, immediately took the items and gave me a return receipt. The whole process was less than 5 minutes, which is a marked change from waiting 1+hrs to return Comcast equipment.In terms of customer service, Cox has been a positive experience and far better than previous cable companies I have dealt with. The only issue I have is the lack of service centers with only 3 locations to return equipment in the entire state. This is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

Long lines. Customer service representatives do treat you very respectfully. Unfortunately, they gave me two broken cable boxes. Its almost as if Cox thinks that since Meriden is a working class community, they dont deserve quality equipment. We had to have them send a technician to the house with a new, in the package, box.

Surprise charges for installation, never told a $550 charge would occur. Called several times with barely any help, we asked for a refund. Still waiting forn the finds to be returned. Never call to order your service.
Horrendous. No working cable for 2 months. They had to run new lines through my apartments, had a tech come in without prior notice and cut corners (i.e., the line was run to 1/2 of the building but not to my unit, and now Im on my third phone-call with them trying to get them to finish the job ... they gave me another 2 week notice). Completely unacceptable and unprofessional - only saving grace (i.e., why they get 2 stars and not 1) is that I have been fully refunded from the start of service.

Signed up for a bundle of trash. They didnt even tell me there was an INTERNET DATA CAP since when?! Im paying for an overpriced garbage hidden fees all over the place. Im paying 70$ more than what i was originally pay for. And when i signed up i was originally signing up for the 89.99$ bundle for speeds of 100+mbps How am i spending for 177$ a month NORMALLY before hidden fees? Makes no sense. The speeds are about 30mbps AND this is the 3rd time THIS WEEK down. When i call this company has no idea what the problem is. Unbelievable.
