Pathetic and rude service. Booked an appointment with them and when I reached on time they tell me they will close soon and cant entertain me despite me being on time. Then when I show them my appointment, they ask the mechanic and looks at my car and says he cant do it. I asked him if I can come tomorrow and he says he will never touch it and that he had a similar case before and he got rid of it. What was the problem you ask? A simple power steering pump replacement. Pathetic and rude customer service. Never go here anyone.
After going from place to place with crazy prices, hardly experienced workers, bad customer service and poor management, I couldnt be more satisfied with Pep Boys. 4 new tires, wheel alignment and they fixed my rim. Also, if anything happens to my tires I can get it fixed at any Pep Boys for free or a new tire. All this service for 429. Thats love. I highly recommend!
I never have to wait a long time. Thank you Marcus!!
They will not fix your car right and lie about what they fixed WARNING don’t go here they use to be ok but now bad management
I have to replace a battery in a Ford Escape. Most auto parts sell the battery. But dont install it on an Escape. Because of the difficulty. So I decided to take it to Pep Boys. They have the battery and charge about $26 labor to install. Very reasonable.
Tom Miller and his staff were extremely helpful, thorough, and friendly. Tom volunteered to back our truck and camper out of the garage and did so skillfully, saving us from a tough maneuver. He even directed us to a good bbq joint down the street as we were tired and hungry from dealing with our flat tire ordeal on I-40. Thank you, Tom!!
Very great 👌
Change my oil quick .
NEVER EVER Again. The manager wanted me to fill out my own information on clipboard until i ask him about him doing it then he volunteered to do it. All the other Pep Boys they filled out the whole clipboard. The manager was VERY LAZY & unprofessional and talk crazy. DONT Take your car there. I end up not getting my car done but when I wanted to leave because i had a ride and my house was 5 minutes away, he told me i couldnt leave because they were about to close and didnt even have my car on the rack yet. I arrived at 4:50 left with ride at 5:20 and my car still wasnt in the garage. The manager told me if I wasnt back by 5:45 because he shut down register I WASNT going to be to get my car. I WAS coming for a wheel alignment and he told me on the phone it take up to 45 minutes-1 hour. Doesnt make any sense.
The staff doesnt seem concerned about time. It takes over an hour to get an oil change and no one else was there. The guy that actually did the oil change was sitting in the waiting room with us watching TV and commenting on the content. He stayed seated for more than 30 minutes. Then he decided to get up and do some work. Thats when I realized he was on duty. Shocked the hell out of me that no one said anything to him about a customer waiting. And the other guy in the garage was sitting on his phone. Terrible staffing! They may know what to do but have no urgency to do it which makes for poor customer service. DO BETTER!!!
5 stars for Pep Boys on Frayser Blvd. Went in to store and arranged to have my car towed, being that I had 2 flat tires. Tow truck picked my car up promptly, at a very reasonable price arranged thru Pep Boys. A couple hours later my car is ready. Highly recommend this store. From cleanliness of the store, awesome customer service (Ms Richardson), timeliness and great prices, I was very pleased.
Always takes care of my car and they treat me like family.
I had a very pleasant experience on today. I took my car in for a routine oil change. I arrive around 8:15 am, knowing that first thing in the morning is possibly a busy time; when everyone begins to roll in. The desk manager, Holly, was extremely polite, helpful and knowledgeable. When she thought it had been a little too long before a mechanic came and retrieved my car, she checked on the flow of the repair shop, herself. There were two oil changes and maybe one or two other repairs in front of me. I was out by 10:30-ish.Something else I noticed: The store manager was visible, helping customers and actually WORKING. He was not closed off in his office, leading from behind. He was just as involved in the action and the work of the shop as the mechanics who were fixing the cars and Ms. Holly who was in charge of the desk.Lastly, they did not try to sell me on 100+ other things that could be wrong with my car. I would not have cringed if theyd mentioned something, but, they didnt try to add another $5000 worth of work. Ive had that happen before. I was able to earn my rewards, use a coupon and feel confident in a simple task required for car maintenance. Great addition to the Frayser family. Zip 38127 needs it.
I had tires delivered there but I was told that they only had one worker and the manager so I had to wait two days for an appointment to get a tire put on. They missed up my rims(1,800) and I was told that they wouldnt charge me for putting them on since the man had put big and long scratches in my rims. Not one rim but all 4 of them. What was I to do. Acting up wasnt going to solve anything. I would actually return because of the manager attitude toward what happen. That team work was nice to see and watch in the HOT BUILDING . They had nice attitudes inspite of the shortage of workers. They where aim to please the customers although they had no air. God Bless Them.
I had a tire that was loosing air and went to have it pached. The day after they repaired it, it was still leaking air. I made another appointment to have them look at it and they found the repair was not done correctly and could not be corrected. The then told me i would have to replace it because they could not fix it. They prorated a new tire and told me it would be $135.00. I asked if they could give me a brake of $35.00 because the bad repair was their fault and they would not give me any brake on the price what so ever. I feel that was not fair. So, this is why i have rated them so low. I dont feel i was asking too much since they had messed up my tire and it could not be repaired.
I would like to share my experience with this great place to get your car or truck fixed or serviced. I went on a Monday with front end problems and very low on money from some very bad luck as of late and I told them so! So they worked with me and cut some financial cuts where they could and had rolling out of there in no time. And they were all so nice from the very pleasant lady that worked the counter to the mechanic which was very knowledgeable and polite. Thank you guysJoseph Pearson
I had an appointment scheduled a couple of Saturdays ago I get there no one is there to do the work. I schedule another appointment for today and guess what? No one is there today to service my vehicle.I never had this problem when they were Direct Tire.
I went to Pep Boys on Frayser Blvd to get an oil change. I was met with a friendly smile by Holly and she took good care of me. The manager Mr. Tom (thats what all the other customers were calling him) made sure to welcome me as well and as I was leaving he thanked me for trusting my car to them and said he hopes to see me next time. The wait was less than I had expected. They did a courtesy inspection on my car, found a couple things that need attention. I will have to do some pricing because the prices they gave me for the needed work seems a bit high for this area. But because they were very courteous and professional I give them a well deserved 5 stars.
Today, I arrived at approximately 6:45 AM to get my vehicle service (the store does not open until 7AM). At 7AM I exited my vehicle and proceeded to walk towards the entrance; before I made it to the door another customer walked in first. She did not have an appointment; yet her vehicle was serviced before mine. When I expressed my concern with Leon, he yelled you shouldnt been on your phone then adding he services whom gets to the counter first. I was shocked with that statement and his tone. After all I couldve been on my phone, reading a book, listening to music or whatever I want prior to the store opening. My actions did not prevent me from being at the door at 7AM. I wasnt a second late (another customer just beat me to the door first).Instead of a professional response, all I received when I expressed my concern was a statement regarding my phone. So, my question is are customers banned from being on their phone while waiting for the store to open? Was I expected to wait outside in the sun? When I expressed my concerns with the store manager, Leon admitted that I was first yet I was not serviced first because I was on my phone...I still think that is comical because I was STILL at the door at 7AM; furthermore, I can do whatever I want to occupy my time while waiting for the store to open.My phone should not have been a factor in the way I was treated. Leon is the definition of poor customer service; he has no respect for customers or his manager. After all, in front of his manager he continue to yell at me stating her phone had everything to do with it. Now in addition to being rude, I think he is weird. I mean, who stares at customers while they are in their car waiting for the store to open? My windows are tinted, so he had to be staring long and hard!
They were very knowledgeable and didnt over charge for work. Theyre about the best place Ive been so far.
Hard working and very knowledgeable!
They are really nice. But I gotta say they don’t know what in the hell they are doing. They can do oil change but make sure you ask them to rotate the tires or they just won’t. Even tough it states oil change and tire rotation but you have to ask. Apparently they just don’t have the time???? Okay.
They helped my wife while I was out of town.. Really nice people.
Went to the Frayser Blvd location. Im from out of state and my vehicle broke down in W Memphis. I was in a pinch and spoke with Tom. He got me right in with no notice.Super nice guy. They were fast and very professional. When the job was done, the price was lower than the quote. That has never happened to me before. Im through that area often. I have put them on my list of shops I will definitely return to if I ever get stuck there again. BTW this is my first Google review EVER. I was so impressed, I felt compelled to share my experience.
Im 100% positive theyre crooked. I came in for a simple oil change I got free from my dealership. It took 1 hr to change the oil and as I was getting my keys the girl in there look at me...paused..and told me I had a nail in all my tires all except the one I absolutely knew was bad. I highly doubt considering I just bought them that morning. Its A-ok I just wont go back to that one because the other pepboys are awesome!
The best customer service and repair shop in Memphis TN... great deal on tires als
Got there 10 mins before time! Didnt start on my vehicle til 30 mins after appt. Was done in 25 to 30 mins. Meaning my tires couldnt have bern been rotated! I pray my oil was changed correctly!
Went to pep boys about a month ago on Frayser Blvd and they did my oil change and like a week after that oil change i couldn’t start my car, checked my starter and it will oil all in and around it 💔 i refuse to get it fix but i didn’t complain to nobody, They was very helpful just messed up on doing the oil change .. I never had that problem
The service at this location is slow and non productive. One customer was in for one tire and waited for over an hour. I was in for a tire swap that normally takes 15 minutes for two tires. I looked in the garage area and guys are talking and relaxing.
Horrible! I had an appointment, I get there maybe 10mins before my scheduled time and the guy and female behind the counter were looking confused said they were to full and would be all the way until close. Very unprofessional and rude, didnt even try to accommodate me or reschedule.
Pep Boys finally come to Memphis. Its about time!!!we got a oil change and tires rotation.it took a littlebit longer than i had planed for but its all good.service desk people are nice and friendly we wont go nowhere else!!!!
Great service clean waiting area. With my appointment I was done in about 1hr.
Went to frayser pepboys to get a tune up and an oil change. Car is running 1000% better. I been reading some of these bad reviews and wondering did these people make a mistake and review the wrong store? My experience was great, errbody was polite and professional. a++
There is a tall man in that story that needs his ass fired 😡😡 in my 66 years of life I have NEVER came close to crying. Im not done with this until I get him fired, you just DONT sit and argue with a customer I know my car.
Good friendly staff from front desk to mechanics.
My car battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Car would run but would not restart. I called the Pep Boys on Poplar and was told by the female on the phone they had the battery in stock. I jumped started my car and left work early to go have a new battery installed. When I got there the blonde woman who I spoke to on the phone took my keys and started the paperwork to have my car fixed. Only problem was she never got off her but to go check and see if they had the battery in stock! So there I was, stuck. No battery at 5:30pm!She was very vocal about wanting to go home early. Obviously not caring one bit about anyone else. She finally found me a battery at another store. Never said sorry or apologized for the screw up. Finally taken care of at 6:30 at another store.I will never go back or recommend the Poplar store to anyone for any reason!!!
Ok $21.99 oil change includes some small maintenance features that I had to wait an extra 30 mins for them to do on top of hour30 I waited. I guess they figured since Im a woman I wont check it.
