I have only just started my experience with Gattas Jewelers, but so far, my experience has been beyond pleasant. I went in for the first time to figure out what I’d like for my wedding set. I had something specific in mind, and Miranda had the utmost patience with all of my questions. She helped me dial in what I liked and actually took time with me to make sure we found exactly what I wanted. Since that first visit, I have sent Miranda drawings of a few rings to be mocked up in CAD for a custom set. Miranda and Gattas Jewelers are responsive and extremely warm and pleasant to work with!

While Ive never set foot in the place, my now fiancé did and omg they nailed it!! He had them make a ring for me that was better than my dreams. Ive only heard praises for them. I did call them to say they did a wonderful job and give them so much thanks for working with him.

I just picked up two rings from being sized. The one is from 1945 and was my grandmothers engagement ring. It had gotten very thin on the bottom and I was afraid it was going to break. I have used this jeweler several times for watch batteries and repairs. They are always friendly, and all the repairs have been very reasonable (reattaching pearls to earrings, etc). They have a nice selection of high end jewelry, but they also have pieces priced for everyday wear and those with a smaller budget.

Every experience I have had at James Gattas Jewelers has been excellent. They have been the only jeweler in Memphis I have used (and plan to use) because of their excellent customer service and quality of product. My first experience with Gattas was a custom pendant made with a gem from my grandfathers tie tack. They used a family heirloom to create a beautiful piece that has become a staple in my (now) fiances jewelry rotation. This experience went so well that I enlisted the help of Phillip to make sure I picked out the perfect engagement ring. He took the time to meet with my fiance and I on several occasions to make sure that the ring would be perfect. He showed me a great selection of diamonds and tipped me off to a setting that I never would have thought of. Once everything was selected he went out of his way to make sure that I had the ring as quickly as possible so that I could pop the question on my own schedule. I have also had a great experience with Amy. I brought in a bag of watches to get some batteries replaced and one new watch band. The watch band was for a watch that belonged to my grandfather, and was scratched up from years of being worn. While I would have worn it with a new band, it would have looked a little shabby in the state that it was in and I would have worn it only on certain occasions. She made the suggestion to get the crystal replaced, something I would have assumed to have been incredibly expensive, but she told me the price and now the watch that sat in my watch box for years looks brand new and I can wear it every day. I cant explain the joy it brings to me to actually be able to wear this watch and how good it looks.If you are looking to find a great jeweler in Memphis, please take the time to stop in to James Gattas Jewelers and just talk to the staff there. From my personal experience, I dont think they will disappoint.

Went in for a link adjustment and was questioned on where i got my watch while my fiancée was followed around the store and repeatedly asked if she needed help. went in a few days later to get a battery for my fiancée’s watch and was asked if i knew the value of the watch. it felt extremely discriminatory to be asked such questions over such small unrelated services.

The ring came back quicker then estimated and it was bright and polished with the setting inspected to make sure everything was nice a secure.
