I have been using this company for over 5 years now. They are always attentive and readily available with a sense of urgency whenever I’ve had emergency refrigeration repairs at our small restaurant. They have also serviced my home with both electrical and AC services. They come thru in a pinch when other companies don’t. When researching an Air Conditioning system I noted that the correct installation of it was just as important as the system selected. So I was looking for a good, reliable system as well as a company with a good solid reputation to install and maintain it. I went with Durham and Sons and I couldnt be happier with my decision. I have used Durham & Sons twice since moving to the Melbourne area a year ago. Both times, our AC system needed servicing; the first time, right after we moved in, involved a clogged condenser line that the technician resolved quickly and gave me a helpful tutorial on how to avoid that happening in the future. The second service call was three days ago, when my wife noticed the AC didn’t seem to cooling properly. I checked the condenser line, but that was in good shape, so I called D&S about 1p and a technician arrived at the house by 2p—on a Friday. The tech, Clayton, impressed my wife with his friendly demeanor and his thorough explanation of what he found—the blower motor needed to be replaced. He called me at work to discuss the repair options, which he explained clearly. I chose the variable-speed motor and Clayton had it installed and working by 4p that day. With two excellent service experiences, we will continue to use Durham & Sons and will recommend D&S to anyone who asks about a reputable HVAC company.

We had a dryer issue with our brand new dryer—turned out it was the outlet in the wall. Scary since we have a wood frame house! Durham was awesome—on time and very reasonably priced! Will definitely use them again!

No hot water for 2 days so I called yesterday morning to make an appointment and was told they would be here today between 2 and 4. I received a call at 7:56 am this morning stating that “he doesn’t go that far anymore... sorry.” I could have tried somebody else who was able to come out the same day - maybe could have had a hot shower last night.They should have known that yesterday when I called! (The girl on the phone even checked with somebody else before making the appointment.)They should have honored their commitment for THEIR MISTAKE!!Bad business!!!Day 3 without hot water, another cold shower and hoping I can get somebody else here soon!

Our AC was leaking tons of water and it was 10p on a Thursday night. I had called Florida Breeze first I think was the name and they said they would page someone and never did. So I called Durham &Sons and he called me back promptly and said he would head over right away. He was prompt and knew right away what needed fixed. He got things running and we were so grateful. I would recommend this business for their professional, promptness and knowledgeable. Do not use Florida Breeze.

I called for an outdoor refrigerator plug and was told all I needed to do was upgrade my GFCI to 20a. Mid install Rich the technician stated this will probably not work and I may need a dedicated circuit ran through the attic. He also state last week and it didnt work on another clients refrigerator. The company charged $208.93 for a plug that doesnt work for what we asked for that took then 5 minutes to install. Then I was told they will send me an a quote for the correct job needed. Very unethical!Update. After starting the job, the technician let me know that I may need a dedicated line because this might not work. After I called a licensed electrician which said this should have been done with a dedicated line in the first place. Seems like a quick cash grab to me. Although I was offered a partial refund after complaining to three different people. This should have been done correctly in the first place.

Durham & Sons is a very professional organization that recently completed a job at my home. I replaced one of two air conditioning systems but the job was complicated by coordinating with other contractors doing other jobs at the house at the same time.Mr. Durham came out personally to quote the job and he recommended changes to my other system as well, many of which I elected to do. We hired Durham and Sons, Inc. to perform routine maintenance of the heating and air conditioning systems in our recently purchased home. The technician (Tommy) arrived on time and thoroughly checked both systems, as well as performing routine maintenance. Tommy also provided valuable information to prolong the life of both systems and to improve their efficiency. Further, he checked the warranty and provided instructions that allowed us to transfer it from the previous owner. The services and information provided were well-worth the cost.

Durham got me scheduled for an estimate to run power to my pool heater. Electrician Vince showed up at the scheduled time, explained the process and gave me an estimate within a few days. They stuck to their timeline and installed the new power line without any issues and had the county out for permit inspection all in the same day. Very pleased with Durham and would use them again.

I had a soffit receptacle that I needed dropped on the outside of my garage. Tried to get a quote from Extreme first, but they did not show for the appointment. I then called D&S and spoke to Cathy, and she was able to get me on the schedule very quickly. The day of the appointment, Richie showed up early in the time window and not only did he give me a quote, but also took care of the job in under an hour. Richie was the best, and did not complain at all about 30 mins of work running a new line to the drop at about 115 degrees Fabrenheit in the attic. I first contacted Durham and Sons when we thought our AC was leaking. Was able to get someone out that very day (Friday of spring break no less) and confirm that it wasnt the AC that was leaking. He said our unit was old, but not dead yet. He said to contact D&S when we were ready to replace. We were astounded there was no pressure with this first visit and happily made mental notes to put these guys on our list to call for quotes when we did replace. Our repairman even suggested given the location of the leak what kind of specialist to call. He was correct and we were thankful to catch something quickly that could have horribly gone wrong. Fast forward a few months... our AC started making a funny noise so we started researching companies to ask for quotes from. Life got busy and one day we found ourselves with no AC because wed waited too long of course it was a weekend and my husband was out of town so I waited until he got back to call. Called D&S and they were able to send someone that very day (again!) the repairman was kind and eager to help. The AC had a leak and he was not able to find out where the leak was coming from. We knew this would lead to major expense, and we knew we didnt want to reinvest the money in a machine that only had a year or two left, so we decided to replace. The few companies that we contacted provided quotes for us, but D&S was the only company to come and inspect before hand (even though they had been out before)! We were impressed with their professionalism and determination to get the job done quickly, but also correctly. And that meant a few days wait - which they provided window AC units for us to use while we were down. Also, we had some issues with how the previous unit was installed. D&S took care of those and also suggested a few more fixes because THEY had issue with how it was installed before. We appreciate them wanting a job done correctly so that they can stand behind the product that they service. Price-wise, they are a bit lower than average for the unit we selected. We did have a quote that came in lower and could start and finish quicker, but the brand of unit was not to our liking. We paid for a 3rd party service to provide estimated retail trends in our area and they were lower than quoted by that service for the make and models we looked up. Their customer service is stellar. They treat you like family. I highly recommend Durham and Sons for service calls and also AC replacement. We are so happy to have found a company that cares about what they do, the products they provide and the manner in which they do all of it.

All i can say is WOW. The staffs at durham and sons are super professional and knowledge. Called in at 9 am for my broken AC and 3 hours later the technician showed up at my house. His name is Craig and he is one of the most knowledgable service technican i have ever seen. Not even two minutes upon of his arrival, he pinpointed exactly what the problem was with my AC and able to go get the parts and fix everything within an hour window.
