We had a really great buying experience! I have never been a fan of going to a dealership to buy a car. I was initially drawn in by the great pricing for their vehicles, it was very fair and accurate for the cars they were selling. We spotted a car we really liked so we called for availability and spoke to Tony initially. He got the car pulled up front for us when we arrived. From there we dealt with Charlie. He was great to work with. No pressure, very personable and overall great personality. He answered our questions and never left us feeling worried about the car or the process. I worked with Kevin for a month or so, test drove multiple vehicles, and never once felt pressured into buying something.Although I saw other cars at other dealers, I was never going anywhere else after my first interaction.At first, I found THE perfect car and test drove it. It had an issue, seemingly minor, and they said they would fix it.They researched the issue (it wasnt a manufacturer they usually deal with), called the dealer for the car and did what they thought would fix it.After the repair, Kevin told me it was better, but not fully as it should be, he was honest. The service department has been wonderful so far! My son, a college student, needed to get his vehicle in some where for nearly a month. Every place in Marquette claims to be booked until Thanksgiving. Its bow hunting season is the answer we get. I understand it is hunting season, because I am a bow hunter as well, but really? Had a banging noise in rear end of new GMC Terrain pulled in to marthaler service to see if someone could see if it was critical problem. Service advisor said no one could look all and his hoists were in use make am appointment I left and went to Fox Chevy In mqt where Jim the service mgr and a tech both slid under the back end to see. The muffler was rubbing against the new hitch that had been just installed a few days ago at a different dealership. What a contrast in service. Dont believe they will see me again.

I recently have been in the market for a good used crew cab 4x4. Having traveled to Green Bay and Appleton WI with no luck. The current market has vehicles over priced.Instead of truck shopping last week, I went to the Marquette area fishing. Having never been to Marthaler I drove through their lot. I found a VERY clean Nissian Frontier that only had 28K miles with a great price.Inside I was greeted by Tony who filled me in on the truck and took a look at my Toyota 4RUNNER for trade. Brandee let me take the truck for a ride. Immediately I new this was my new truck.I came back on Friday to get the truck and received a great trade in offer for my Toyota. Cassandra made the purchase process very smooth.Brandee always made me feel non pressured. A very different experience compared to other dealers. Couldnt be happier with purchase and the relaxed atmosphere at Marthaler.***UPDATE***On 8/31/21 I went back to Marthaler. They had promised a set of front breaks when I bought my truck. Had been casually shopping for a new vehicle for over a year and looking at various dealerships. The staff at Marthaler Marquette were the most responsive and after visiting the first time we made a purchase. It was clear they wanted our business and would go the extra mile for it. I am very disappointed and unhappy with the Marthaler dealership in Marquette, MI. I informed David Heard that I was disappointed and unhappy about the license plate bracket that was installed on the front of the new Terrain after I agreed to purchase the vehicle. Davids texted response was Part of the pdi is installing the bracket on vehicles. David is the same salesman I have purchased my previous three new cars from, at this location. I also purchased one additional car with 8K on it as well from David. I have never had a front bracket installed on my car in Michigan.Tony Cappo asked for my keys so he could pull it around back to have the bracket taken off. When I asked him to take it off where it was parked, he returned shame-faced to let me know they had riveted it to the bumper and the rivets would need to be drilled out. Tony promised to replace it, then to fix the bumper, telling me know there would only be two small holes left after they drilled out the rivets. I did not agree to them drilling out the rivets and fixing the bumper on the new Terrain, I just purchased.Front license plates are not required or available from the state of Michigan. Therefore, the majority of new cars on the road do not have front license plate brackets installed on them. As I texted David Heard, I would not have purchased the vehicle had I known the front license plate bracket had been installed. Unfortunately, I trusted Marthaler to deliver the vehicle as it was when I agreed to buy it. I wanted the vehicle I agreed to buy, without any additions or deletions of equipment or accessories.I have already had a coworker ask me how many miles were on the Terrain when I bought it. When I told her that it was new, she mumbled, looked back at the front of my car and turned red. Yes, the new Terrain I purchased now looks like a used car from out of state.

They we very helpful with each step of the process. Easy to talk to everyone there and they had our our best interest at heart.

Unit was completed within two minutes of their testament, Great job.My vehicle was returned cleaned then when I dropped it off.

My issues with the vehicle began when I took it to Green Bay on March 28th to get on a flight to Florida for Spring Break. At the same time I was experiencing issues with the brakes in the back, ironically the dealership texted me the same day asking how the car was driving. I told them that I was having issues with the brakes. They told me to bring it in for them to take a look at it. When I came back from Florida on the 2nd I tested positive for COVID. I was under quarantine for 10 days after and could not bring the vehicle until the first week of May. They replaced the bake caliper and did not charge me. The same issue proceeded into the next week as well as my right front brake pads wearing down to metal-to-metal. This was supposed to be mentioned to me me upon picking my car up the first time, but was not. I received the car back a second time with the pads and rotors having supposedly been replaced. I took the vehicle less than two miles down the road and the right front brake started smoking. I called the maintenance man that had looked at my brakes previously and he mentioned that the caliper was probably bad which made me extremely upset. I was never worried about the expense related to the work that needed to be done to my vehicle, I had the money for the maintenance when I bought it. I need the convince that a dealership provides and Marthaler did not provide convivence for me. They inconvenienced me for 2 weeks which is very difficult as I have three jobs, one as a 3rd grade teacher.

We bought a Canyon here long-distance (from Southern Wisconsin) and they were very up front about the condition of the vehicle, and knew a lot about its history as the previous owner was a regular visitor to their dealership.The sale was fast and we were in and out in no time!
