Jake and Ryan are the bomb!!!Very efficient in their work, they were there every chance they could be during boating, and even offered to clean our fish after the PM trip. Craig the captain was equally as helpful and is ALWAYS RIGHT, just take his word for it. The sunset was beautiful and the fish were biting!10/10 would recommend.Thanks guys!!! We will be back!!!

I have never been sea fishing and the crew was great, just as advertised. They have the best deal you could get for an experience like this, they take you miles out into the sea to fish. If you need help at all they will assist, I was able to get a fishing pole when mine was broken mid trip. They will quickly replace your hook if you happen to snap the line -it happened two times and Im pretty sure they were sharks, someone caught a fish in half. They fillet your fish when you come back very quickly and you can see tarpon eat the remains. I loved it, youre boating out miles into the sea, theyll move if no fish are biting. It totally rocked! 6:30pm to 12:00am was totally awesome. Note! youll start heading back around 11:00. Its totally worth it, these guys know what theyre doing so enjoy and remember to leave a nice tip for them. 👍

Best deal in the keys to catch fish. They supply bait for free.....rod/reel rental is additional $5 (but it says that on their website). Bring your cooler with beer and food for a good party experience. Watching the pelican pandemonium at the filet station after the trip is very entertaining.

Had a great time. Caught 10 fish; just enough for a nice dinner. Would definitely go again.

Was in town for a vacation with my pregnant wife, we decided the take a charter here as it would be a smoother ride and have shade. I had emailed after hours about availability and they were quick to email me back within 10 mins and called me in the AM for confirmation. The crew was super attentive to us since my wife was 7 months pregnant. Overall the trip was perfect for what we paid, the crew was awesome, and we had a great time. Would recommend for those wanting a nice quick trip and dont want to drop big money.

Awesome experience. great price for what you get. The boat staff are so friendly and helpful. we did the night fishing and it was a blast. Filleted our catch for us and brought it to a local restaurant to cook. definitely will be fishing with them again when we are back in the keys. thanks for an awesome time!

My wife and I took an afternoon trip out on the Marathon Lady on 4/16. The mates were fantastic and very helpful. If you want to catch monsters, that requires a bit more money on a charter boat. We caught several grunts and snappers, which were the typical fare for a party boat in FL. As a Chesapeake Bay fisherman, I am amazed at how clear the water is and how plentiful the fish are in the Keys. We did move around a bit to find a solid bite, but overall it was a great time. I dont go on party boats to break any records, but to have a fun time on the water with my wife and/or kids. Overall had a great time and enjoyed the feeding frenzy of pelicans, Tarpon, a Pompano, and a 7-8 shark while the mates were cleaning the fish. Great bargain to get on the water in the Keys!

Took my oldest daughter on our first time party boat fishing. The captain and crew really cared about us being on fish! The boat was about half capacity which was perfect. We were near the stern so had better luck than some. I recommend getting there early and/ or reserving a spot on the stern nearest the chum bag for the hottest action. It was a great experience, and my daughter had an awesome time catching fish which is what I wanted. We even saw wild dolphins out at sea, and hungry bull sharks back at the dock during clean up!

This was my first time trying a party boat. It was a last minute decision. There were only about 20 people on board so plenty of room to move around on this 65+ boat. The crew was extremely helpful and friendly and I had a great time. We mostly caught small porgy, snapper and grunts. One guy caught a 2 grouper but its not season so he had to throw it back. I landed something pretty big about half way through the trip but unfortunately, it bent my hook and was able to get away. Thats fishing though. For the money, you cant beat this excursion.

I have fished on boats like this one before but This Crew was the best! We (2 of us) caught 27 keepers and released about 30 other fish! The Captain will put you on the fish!! Thank you for giving us the best fishing day we have ever had! Ride out was about 20 minutes. Very nice!!!

Not a party boat fan, but these guys have it together! A few keeper snappers and good time all around.

We recently spent a week in Marathon and this was the highlight of our trip! These folks know where the fish are.. we caught about 40 fish during the 4 hour trip and probably kept 20 of them.. we threw the smaller ones back. The waters that we fished were a color of blue that youve never seen before! The people that run this operation are great folks and will do their best to ensure that you have a great time! We will make this part of our vacation when we return.

If youre happy catching a lot of grunts, go. I was pretty disappointed at the lack of good fish. However, my standard is different from the rest of the clients. Everyone was happy about the constant catching. Like bluegills of the sea....

We had a great time we caught enough fish for dinner (they clean them for you at a reasonable price) after cleaned you can take your catch to almost any restaurant around and they will cook for you. It truly is a once in a lifetime experience

Been going here since I was a kid. I have a great time everytime. When you call in, ask them what kind of fishing they are planning on and get ready. A lot of the time they go out to outside the reef and drop anchor for a half hour and move if the fishing is going slow. A lot of people fight to get the spots on the back of the boat because that is where the chum lines are. I have found any spot is a good spot on the boat while fishing in the keys. Just make sure you listen to the deck hands and they will take care of you. Pro tip, do not wait until the end of the trip to tip the deckhands. Do it while the boat is still going out. They will also fillet your fish for a small price when you dock back up.

This place was awesome. Staff is very friendly. Caught so many fish. We had 12 people fishing in our group and we caught like 70 fish. They filleted them all for us and it was pretty cheap. Took it home, fried it up, and it was absolutely delicious. Watching them filet it and throw the chum bits into the water and at the birds was really entertaining. Fish and sharks were fighting over the trash bits. Was able to get a beer in the store next to the boat and watch the bird fight. Id call that a good day.

They do a great job making you feel welcome, giving you basic instructions on how to use the equipment and getting you to an area where theres actually fish. They take all of the fish off for you, but you bait you own hooks. We had about 2-3 hours of actual fishing time after driving out to the fishing spot before heading back to shore. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Theyll even clean your fish for a small fee after you return 3/$1 and then you can take them next door to Fish Tails restaurant where theyll cook up your catch!

Super friendly and helpful crew!! - You should stay and watch them clean your catch - quite the show to watch them toss/sort and clean for only $1 per 3 fish. Tons of fun!

Great family experience and would recommend it. We took our 3 yr old and infant on the boat and felt very comfortable with the boats staff. They worked hard to find the fish given the seas.

If youre looking for a place to go out fishing, it is extremely reasonably priced at $45 in a morning trip, if you dont have a fishing pole you could rent one for $5 they provide all the bait, theyre pretty knowledgeable they will fillet your fish very reasonably priced, about 4 hours or so is pretty reasonable amount of time to spend on the water however you can get the afternoon trip along with your morning trip about $90 total. you can bring a cooler your own beer a sandwich I found that to be very helpful.

This is the biggest joke of a “fishing charter” and/or party boat. They change spots every 10-15 minutes and claim that we are in 50 feet of water. This is boat is a scam. The only fish you will catch is a grunt and they get extremely excited. I would like to make it known that if catch a fish, make sure that you measure it yourself because they will say it is keeper size when it is not. I had to point the FWC regulations for them to act like it existed. I was beyond disappointed with the fishing and overall experience was a 2/10. I WOULD NOT GO HERE. EVER.

This was a awesome experience. The guys on board help you with everything whether it is untangling your line putting bait on this is one place you need to try. we liked it so much we are going to go out there and a couple more days and do it again.

I am only giving two stars because the trip was much less than I expected.I didnt know we wouldnt even be going out of sight of land.All they do is anchor up over Grunt holes, I can catch the same fish that I caught that day under any bridge in the keys lol.I guess if youve never been fishing its a good idea but if youre interested in serious fishing there are other group charters available.I watched the deckhands throw fish back, one of mine and some other peoples fish as well.I guess they didnt want to be bothered with marking and icing em down at the time.

The crew was exceptional. They were knowledgeable, extremely helpful, supportive and fun. We caught 56 fish on our excursion and they filleted them all for us. Showed up today for the 1:30pm departure and we had 11 people but the captain refused to go becauseWe did not have 12 people.The eleven of us offered to pay for twelfth personBut the captain refused our offer.Our party drove 3 1/2 hours to go!Guess what, we will never use the Marathon party boat again.

My name is Todd T., I don’t usually write on any of these reviews because nothing compel’s me to do so. My wife and teenage children (4)had an absolute blast and In the morning with Capt. Jon, first mate’s Ryan, and Ethan. It was a little slow because of the storm and heat, which is to be expected but we still caught plenty of fish and had a great time... We had so much during the morning that we chose to go back out for the evening boat and again we were not disappointed. We were blessed with a large amount of fish. And again Capt. John, and Jake did a SMASH up job with everyone on the boat. I will fish this boat again and definitely refer anybody to this Great Team. Thank you for your professionalism..

The whole staff from beginning to end were amazing. My group of 7 was age 12 to 18 and myself. The deckhands ( Jessie and Ryan ) did a fantastic job. We did not catch many big fish but the captain did put us on the fish, making sure everyone was bringing fish on the boat. He also came down to say hello and lend a hand. I absolutely would recommend the Marathon lady and will definitely return.Thank you for another GREAT day in the keys!!!

We were having a good time until something happened at the end that kind of ruined it for us. The problem we had was with some of the deckhands. We paid a fair amount of money to go out on the boat In the first place . I think is was a good price compared to other half day trips but for us it was still a lot of money. When I had called ahead they didn’t say anything about an expectation to tip the deckhands. However this was mentioned after getting on the boat. At the end the deckhands went around with a tip jar and the only small bills I had were a couple dollar bills. So, I put those in the jar while the one deckhand was holding it. He was clearly upset about the tip amount. He then went to the other deckhand and told him about it. The other deckhand then comes and in front of everyone starts complaining about our tip. This really embarrassed and offended us. I had nothing against this guy and would have tipped more if I had it. Anyways, it kind of ruined the experience for us and I just wanted to warn the next person about the expectation to tip so you don’t have the same situation happen to you.

For a being a fishing excursion in the Florida keys one of the top fishing locations in the US didn’t see very many big or half way decent sized fish being caught seems like a 55$ Boat ride save your money go to the bar an the capt is a piece of work

This was the worst fishing trip I’ve ever been on on a party boat before several things that this boat does to keep from beating up on their fishing spots for one they do not fish with circle hooks they provide the wrong tackle for all rods number 2 they are fishing on shallow reef and when they come up on the reef they back down on the boat real hard scaring all the fish away they don’t even put us on the reef to catch fish we went out today with 43 people on the boat me my father my son and my friend neither one of us caught fish except for one fish and it was about 8 inches long also about 30 other people on the boat didn’t catch fish either this fishing trip was terrible I wouldn’t recommend the Marathon Lady for no fishing whatsoever they planned this because they only cut up enough bait just for what they are doing and that is cutting the fishing trip short by not putting people on the fish

Crew was really great although I was sick as a dog the entire trip. Not their fault. If seas are rough and you plan on taking a motion sickness medicine, take one the day before and take another a couple hours ahead of departure. Dont wait til that last minute or it will have the opposite effect.

Other patrons are typically in a good mood and as a result everyone on the boat is just looking to have a fun time catching fish.If you fish from the stern, you will have a better chance of catching yellowtail snapper.After you get back to the dock, the duck maids will clean your fish for three for a dollar.Then you can take your fish to one of the local restaurants and they will cook your catch. Nothing better than fresh seafood.Always an awesome day.

Fun reasonable and a good time

Had a fun time! Caught a few eaters, mates were helpful throughout. Very happy this boat was cautious with all anglers and staff wearing masks. Hand sanitizer was available throughout the trip. We go on the LM one a year.

Our party of 4 went on the night fishing. It cost us $240. Came home with 3 little fish. Not worth it! Too many people. Rods every 12 inches. People smoking, including crew. Drunk guys. Back of the boat (best spot to fish) was reserved!!!! Really? Crew started cleaning boat before we even reach land. Almost got wet with pine sol!!! When leaving with our little 3 fish, saw that experienced folks with good spots caught a LOT of fish!!!! Dont waste your $$$$. And make sure that before booking a fishing trip, ask how many people will be in it and conditions. Good luck!

We had a awesome day aboard the Marathon Lady. The crew was very helpful and the fish were biting. Total caught was 17 on the smaller side but ended up with 1.4 pounds which was plenty to eat for both of us. If you are looking for a fair price charter I would totally recommend them. See you next year captain.

Great party boat of you bring your own rods and tackle.. theyre rental rods seem overkill for most species youll catch. For me, 3 trips out, have been great!

Very well priced, got plenty of fish, saw various species of fish reeled in, the service from the crew was amazing. They were very attentive with there only being 3 crew members and about 30 people fishing. They took us to various different spots, and would move if it wasnt great fishing. Really great service. They filet our fish at a VERY reasonable price too! Remember they can take us to the spots, but they cant bring the fish to us, its always chance. However, I would definitely recommend and would definitely come back!
