This is my second time renting from Cocos. Great people, nice boats, and will be a returning customer again next time Im down here. Last boat was the Desperado and put a 60 mahi in the boat. This time was the 24 Sea Pro and put 30+ mutton in the box. These boats catch!

We rented the 19ft Proline for the day. The boat ran great, no issues & we had so much fun. They were so helpful & quick so we could get right out on the water. The guys at the dock were super helpful. I didnt expect renting a boat would be so easy, but Cocos makes it easy. They give you everything you need & helpful hints on where to snorkel or fish & they have bait you can buy. The deli being right there to get sandwiches, drinks, & snacks also made it convenient. We had a 50 gallon tank & only used 15 gallons from 9-4 so it wasnt expensive to top off. We will definitely be using them again! Thanks Again Cocos! The Haakes

The absolute best boat rental place that I have ever dealt with! We rented the 27 ft boat from them for a week and couldnt have been any happier. Everything worked on the boat, we didnt have a single issue for the entire week. Every single time I turned the key the boat started! I was concerned that a rental boat might have issues but this boat was more dependable than my own. We wouldnt rent from any place else.

We rented the 19 proline with a 130 Honda. Boat ran perfect. Everything work like should be. We had a great day. It was a little windy but boat handle it very well. We recommend Cocos and we definitely will come back.

After planning and researching some options, Im pleased I went with Cocos boat rental. The boat was what I would expect and everything worked as it should. The dock hands did a great job of explaining and answering any questions. Hickley went above and beyond. We lost an anchor during a fishing outing and not only did they replace it quickly, they did not overcharge for it as many places would.

This is our second time renting from Cocos in 11 months and weve had a five star experience both times! Jason was super patient with us changing our travel needs and boat plans before we arrived, picking up and dropping off the boat was a breeze and the whole staff is super friendly! The boats are taken care of well and we had no issues. We will ALWAYS rent from Cocos! Thanks guys!!

Rented a 20 ft proline and had the worst experience possible. Several times our motor shut off in open water and on top of that the tilt and trim motor completely ceased to function. Wires to the battery and other components were very corroded. When we called cocos to solve the issue, we were instructed to return the boat and fill it with gas if we wanted a full refund for the day. (Keep in mind our prop is barely in the water because the trim motor did not work). To keep it short there was no customer service. They were very rude. And they lied to us about the full refund after we did everything they instructed. Very very unprofessional business. Would not recommend cocos to anyone.

In October of 2019 we rented from Cocos Boats. We rented the 27’ Century from them. It was an Awesome boat! Their prices were very reasonable and the young man who helped us Vince, was absolutely Wonderful! Very kind, and very helpful! We are experienced Mississippi River boaters, but have never taken a boat out on the ocean before. Vince spent a lot of time with us explaining and reassuring us on how to navigate safely. We had everything we needed, including GPS, depth finder, and maps, etc!They sent us to Sombrero Reef to snorkel and we saw a ton of pretty fish, flying fish and dolphins! The highlight of our trip, was when we were gassing up and saw a Hugh Manatee! I highly recommend Cocos Boat Rental!

The ease of booking was so easy! Arrived on the agreed upon date and the boat was ready to go. Was given a thorough explanation of the rental agreement and was provided a handy chart that our hostess used to show us important locations.We were then given a walk thru of the boat (22 Seahawk) by a very friendly young man who also provided us a couple of fishing spots. He explained everything and answered all our questions.Fast forward to the next day...We were running the boat and I heard a strange noise coming from the prop. I had just left my dock, so I decided to call the company using a cell number they provided. The crew said theyd come to me. Within 20 minutes, two employees were on my dock diagnosing the problem (prop hub went bad). They left and were back in 15 minutes with the replacement parts, which were installed on the spot. Did I mention they had already closed for the day? Epitome of customer service!We enjoyed the boat, which ran fine after the swap for the rest of our trip. Jason and his staff are absolutely phenomenal and my family and I couldnt be more pleased. His vessels are in great shape and you cannot find that quality for the price on Marathon. We come down every year and will absolutely be using Cocos in the future!

I usually dont write reviews but i am happy with my rental boat. We rented the 25ft blue aquasport for 5 days. Great vacation. Its true, boats are not new but are well maintained, clean and everything was working on it. Powered with a 250hp yamaha enough for my family of 7 people. Boat ran great and took me everywhere.Reading a review down below about getting gas in the boat, For reference: they show you where to get gas, the closer marina to their place that way boat is completely full when you returned. And is true that they tell you not to go to captain hooks to get gas and is also true that is written on the registration that they will give you so I guess is your fault if you put gas somewhere else. In fact, they are very detailed with the fuel gauge and make you sign a check list where the gauge is exactly reading. You cant have any excuse if is not full. Very informative and nice people. Just follow the rules.I do recommend them if you want a good experience.

Rick was the nicest person and so eager to help. He made sure the boat ran perfect and was ready to go. The wife and I had a great time and felt it was well worth the money spent. Being a long time boater and avid fisherman I appreciated the size of the boat and the boats seating and pole holders. Only suggestion is a couple more pole holders up front for the bench seat. Great place to rent a fishing boat. GPS Garmin fishfinder. Boats are not new but very well maintained. Everything works on it. Pick up was easy with a lot of instructions and advices. Return of the vessel the same. Got gas and brought boat back at 5pm was easy peassy. They checked my propeller and the fuel gauge and we were good to go.Was a great week in the keys...

Keeping it short and simple.Rented a boat, boat had a plethora of mechanical issues (some environmental health concerning). But that is were customer service would had made this review to never exist. From the first phone call to them when we were nearly stranded just outside vaca pass with a motor trim issue (a complete lack of preventative maintenance), we were told we had to find a way to get the boat back to their harbor a few miles away. Upon arrival and refueling we were met with more unprofessional and blatant disrespect. According to other reviews perhaps we caught a bad time for them, but personally would not recommend or use them again.

Fantastic experience! Crew was great- I think her name was Wendy and she was very thorough at explaining the terms and conditions, went through the boat features and functions, provided map with details that included getting in and out of the marina, where to get gas, good snorkeling spots, fishing spots, areas to avoid, etc. A young man I think Jarick?, was very knowledgable and helpful with gear and mooring. Fun to talk to and gave us local reports. Absolutely perfect.

Id give this place zero stars if I could. Seemed like a nice place to begin with, really friendly. However, shouldve known this was going to be a scam when they said the fuel gauge never read above 3/4 but was between there & half a tank, even though they just filled it up. Before I get into it, Ill preface this with the fact Im from Northwest Florida, & own 2 boats, been on the water half my life and love boats We got to the rental place about 11-1130 helped the guys get the 19 boat out of the slip so we didnt hit any of the other boats on our way out. My buddies & I spread the weight out as evenly as possible before we went out to find some dive spots. It was a windy & rougher day, 2-3 ft swells. Nothing my personal 19 key west couldnt handle easily with 6 people in the boat, we only had 4, but with the gear it probably came to about 6 people weight wise. But our trim actually works & the engine doesnt go from idle to full send either. Anyways, this boat was struggling to essentially do anything the whole day we had it. Didnt even make it half way to our charted destination & decided after an hour we should test out the gulf side & see if it was any calmer & the boat handle that any better since there was a trim lock & we couldnt get the boat to plane nearly the whole day unless it was totally flat, with no swells. Something out of Cocos control was the fact it was a terrible day for diving, but a decent boat mightve made up for that, unfortunately we didnt find ourselves so lucky. When we went to Captain Hooks to get gas & return some snorkeling gear before we headed back to Cocos, the gas tank literally spit gas out multiple times & refused to take any more gas. We assumed the tank was full since it refused to take any more fuel. Our return trip was just as terrible & out of the entire day we never surpassed 15knots which was on our way back. On our way out however we were stuck between 4-6 knots, which if youve been on the water in your life or around boats at any time, you know that is absolutely terrible & ridiculously slow, comedically slow even. Especially for a boat that wouldnt even plane, do to a trim lock, which we found out it had that because we were diving and could feel the metal bar not allowing the motor to change angle any further. When we finally got back, my friend made a comment that it was a terrible ride and they shouldnt rent out such terrible boats, to which the worker replied well you didnt call or come back to try and get a different boat. To which we said, It took us an hour just to get to a location, which wasnt even our original destination due to the fact we were barely moving and sitting at a 45 degree angle as we tried to ride out to our first dive spot. We didnt even make it half way. The worker got into the boat which was reading at just below 3/4 full tank (how we got it originally) and said this isnt full, did you stop to get gas or not? Which of course we had and we explained what happened. And the worker said well yeah, thats what this gas tank does. We had no idea because we were NEVER TOLD THIS OR WARNED ABOUT THE OVERFLOWING GAS TANK. He did however warn us about the gas tank gauge but conveniently ignored that fact as he poured 15 gallons of gas from the store into the tank, filling it up AND getting the gauge to read full. Overall this was terrible experience. Its a shame it couldnt have ended the way it started, respectfully & cordially. But unfortunately they clearly try to prey on tourists who dont know anything about boats, unfortunately we still fell for this scam too. Dont use Cocos.

We go to the recommended gas station follow all the directions and go right away to Cocos and are always under suspect of not filling up. I just want to ask why do you think we wouldnt fill up? To rip you off a few dollars so we can end our day feeling like guilty jerks because we like ending our day like that? Of course we filled up. geez.

The absolute pinnacle of unprofessionalism.Reserved a boat weeks in advance only to be givin a boat that had multiple issues from extremely poor maintenance. The 21 Proline shut off on us twice when we were in the Atlantic. All the electical cables and connections were corroded, The ignition was messed up, and the drystorage hatches were barely hanging on by the hinges. The second day we had the boat the trim motor completely stopped working. Upon calling and explaining the issue, Cocos staff told us we would have to figure out a way to get it back if we were not to be charged for the day. (The prop was barely in the water) They even had the audacity to tell us to be sure to fuel it before we made it back. We went the extra mile got full fueled and slow motored the boat back using up half a day of our vacation, only to be told we would still have to pay the full day. They even tried to charge us for additional fuel! All this time never once apologized for our boat trouble and time wasted. A different boat was not offered to accommodate us. We will not be using or recommending Cocos boat rental.

My family and I spent a fabulous week in Marathon and enjoyed exhilarating days on the water. We rented the 25ft green aquasport for 5 days. It was beautiful to have a relaxing lunch at the sandbar and enjoyed the days fishing and snorkeling.. A must do for anyone on vacation there.- well worth it. The guys in the rental were really helpful and thorough with instructions and a chart. Boat ran without problems. Was a great week.!!

Great service from everyone at Cocos. I rented the 21 ft Bayliner for our 2 families and it had room for 4 adults 3 kids no problem. I damaged the Bimini top and they were very fair in fixing and having back to me same day. Great people at cocos that will take care of you and put you in a great reliable boat.

I had not much experience of power boats and was initially reluctant to take my young family out on the open water. Jason put my mind at rest and gave us a really good brief of where to go and what to do to. We felt totally safe throughout our experience. The trip itself was amazing, we visited sombrero reef and coffin Patch and stopped in each for a bit of snorkeling. It is much better than doing one of the boat trips as you have much more freedom to do what you want. It works out a similar price as well if there are enough of you. The boat was well equipped and in good condition. We stayed at Marathon for 11 days and did most of the local activities. This was my favourite by far. Hope we can come back soon but I recommend this company for you boat experience

Everything about Cocos is amazing! The owners are informative and friendly! The boats are everything we could want! Perfectly outfitted, clean and comfortable! They sent us off with a map and a detailed explanation of where to do what, it was the single most useful thing of our trip! We didnt get lost, had an amazing time snorkeling and caught awesome fish! We wont ever rent anywhere else!

Rented here after comparing other options in town. Travis quickly and easily set up our reservation (good explanation about the boat and where can and can not go) and all the guys were terrific the day when we pick up the boat (wish I could name them all!). The boat was fantastic, plenty of shade and seating for our party of seven (including an 79 year old!), and the instructions were detailed while still making it fun. We had a blast cruising the Marathon (yes, there are MANY slow zones for the benefit of our precious wildlife). Great fishing days and also perfect sandbar, not to crowded like other places. Relax!! We enjoyed dolphin, more osprey than we could count, and, even a manatee and a turtle. Not my first boat rental in Florida, but, definitely the best. I definitely recommend this guys!!!

Visited the Keys for the first time this month. Rented a boat from this company and felt that the website was very true to what they provide. The pictures represent what you will rent. There was a lady from Peru that works there who is GREAT at explaining the waters and procedures with the boat. They give you a nice map as well (free) with all you need to know to navigate the waters. They also have easy parking righ across the street while you are out on the boat. Planning on making yearly trips for fishing and will definitely use this company again.

We rented a boat from them over the Christmas holiday, the boat was exactly what we had reserved and the people there explained everything we needed to know. the only bad part was the weather never really cooperated and it was to windy to really get to enjoy the boat. Not there fault at all, just the luck of the draw.

Rented the 20 Blue Bird for a couple days during the 4th of July week. My wife and I had a blast. Boat ran flawlessly and all equipment functioned as it should. Very friendly staff and extremely competitive pricing.Will most certainly rent from them again.

I had read pretty much every review of every rental shop around Marathon and almost got an little scared. Still moved forward and happy I did. If you are looking for a car rental experience with brand new boats and all, it’s not what you’ll get from any rental. They are all « small shop » process (friendlier) with used boats. And that’s ok.Rented for 8 days on the first week of March.The service was great and quick. Received a useful map with recommended fishing, snorkling and risky shallow spots before leaving dock.Most importantly for me, the boat was impeccable. Clean, fully functional and comfortable. It was suprisingly in much better condition than most 20 yo boats. Rented the 27 Century and did lots of shallow and deep sea fishing, and happy hour rides with the family of 6.I have seen, on spot, many other boats from other rentals that I was considering and am really happy with my choice. Some of them were pretty beat up, with torn t-top and hole (yeah, hole) on the fiberglass. Just saw all Coco’s boat and would have been happy with all of them. Would definitely recommend this place.

Excellent 2 days with a 21ft boat on the water. Boat ran well and people were friendly and genuinely appreciated the business. Took a bit to get used to the area but if you’ve operated a boat before you can be comfortable quickly especially if it is not too windy.

Had a great time fishing all over and snorkeling at Coffins patch. The 21’ bayliner was perfect for our family of 6. Staff was great and there were no issues. All equipment was in perfect working order. Spent hours on the sandbar off grassy key. Saw a stingray, some dolphins, some manatees, 1000 fish, and caught a barracuda. Nice area.

I would have voted 6 stars if it were an option! Jason was quick to competitively get me and my crew in a boat last minute for a 5 day rental that made our stay in Marathon the most memorable ever. Navigational tips on where to fish and snorkel by Wendy were a lifesaver! Its refreshing to have a business owner answer the phone and assist you directly. Looking forward to next years rental!

Had a great experience renting a 20’ Polar for a day of exploring Marathon and Bahia Honda. The boats are well equipped and in good shape.

Always rent a boat from them when we come down to fish and explore. Good selection, best prices. Had one minor issue in the many days and several trips I rented from them.. and they came right to where I was staying and fixed the live well pump the same day I called about it. They are always responsive to any questions on fishing spots, and local knowledge. Even if you call them when your out on the boat, they respond with answers right away. They keep there boats in really good shape, so when I rent it I feel like I own it and I take care of it as well for them. (I wash their boats every time I took it out..more then I wash my own truck..lol)

Place is great, Mike was a very friendly guy. Boat was very clean and ran perfect. We ordered a 19 and wished we would have gone bigger. Make sure you order the bigger boats if it is a 10 to 20 knot wind out, that was our fault. Ours had a ice chest which was great. Again, highly recommend Cocos! Store next door has ice, snacks, bait, and tackle. Order your fishing license online for simplicity. Tell Mike we said Hookem!

We had a great experience here. Paying in full in advance by phone meant that there was no messing around with payments when we got there. Picking up the boat was smooth and efficient. The show us everything on the boat. We had a wonderful day out on the water! The GPS and map provided certainly helped. The boat was in great shape, and everything worked as it was supposed to. I came to Marathon end of August with my brother Joe and buddy Josh for a 3 day fishing trip. This was my first experience with Cocos and before i booked i read all the reviews and i had a good feeling about them so i reserved the 25ft aqua sport with the 250hp over the phone with Jason and he assured me everything works on the boat and they take great care of the boats! Well when we came to pick up the boat it was in great shape and we were very happy! After fishing for 3 days this boat was a joy to be on very roomie lots of storage handled chop very well and was very fast cruised at 30mph no problem! Thank you Jason and crew for this great experience i will be back in January for another trip and i will be renting the same boat! Thanks again Jaymes!

Best boats at the best prices in Marathon. All equipment worked well and it had a very nice GPS depth finder. We went to Sombrero Lighthouse snorkeling with the kids and it was so beautiful there.

Weve rented from Cocos several times. Boats ran great and were well equipped. This last time one of the bait wells was dead at pickup time. They replaced the pump in about 10 minutes and we were on our way. Recommended.

Dont rent here. Boat was the worst Ive been on and theyll nickle and dime you upon return. Our boat had a broken tachometer and a fuel gauge that read wrong. Im also pretty sure it had a trim lock as we could not get the boat to plane on anything except completely flat water. We filled up immediately before returning the boat (fuel spit out of the fill hole when we filled up at Captain Hooks) and yet they claimed we were 15 gallons low upon return. We only had the boat 3 hours and did less than 10 nautical miles. Theres is no way the little 115 motor (underpowered for the 19 boat we rented) burned 20 gallons on that trip. Rent at your own risk from Cocos and be ready to pay more upon return.

My family and I spend 1 week in Marathon and we decide to rent a 28f century from Cocos. The boat was awsome. A lot of space, with stereo, everything work on it. We had a blast fishing, snorkeling and also in the sandbar. We are gonna come back next year for sure!!

Called on a Wednesday morning looking for a reasonably priced boat for my 2 kids and I. Jason answered right away and gave me the choice of a 19 foot Proline with a Bimini or a 20 foot Polar with a T top. The 20ft is usually $25 more per day, but he offered both boats at the same price.Went to the marina and was met by the staff who got us set up and oriented very quickly.Kids and I had a great day on the water and returned to the marina with no issues. Staff checked the prop and told us we were good to go. I will defiantly use this company again when I return. A day on the water was cheaper than paying for the 3 of us to go on a 4 hour snorkel trip.

Its not every day someone who is supposed to be trying to sell you a boat rental says: Id love to take your money but there is a lot of chop out there and I want you to have a good time - is there another day you could go?. I was so impressed with the honesty of these people, I had to write this. If you want someone who values their customer more than the money they make from them, rent your boat from these people.

Rented a boat for a week and it was great!

Cocos helped us get on the water after a morning ruined by crazy people at a different marina on Long Key. We were in a spot after having a boat rental cancelled there, called Cocos, and were on the water by noon. They took care of us big time and were incredibly helpful, friendly, and reasonably priced. Planning to rent from them again on my next trip to the Keys!

We rented a 27f century for a week. The boat runs perfect, we had a great experience. The staff was great. We are gonna come back soon and rent from Cocos again.

Our family just got back from an wonderful vacation in Marathon with a nice deck boat from Cocos Boat Rentals. There were only three of us and one dog but opted for a larger boat to give the kid and dog plenty of room. On the first day after a leisurely trip thru the mangroves and past some magnificent homes we pulled up on a sand bar beach just 1 mile from the ocean canal. We then motored up to the seven miles bridge in time to see the sunset there. And time enough to go back to our rental home.The second day we decided to go snorkeling to sombrero reef, and even it was a little windy was really really amazing. Turquoise water and lot of marine species. And we ended our rental with some fishing at some coral bank that cocos showed us on the map.We only used around 30 gallons of gas in the 2 days we ran the engine all day long.Checking in and out was efficient and fast. Couldn ask for a better experience.

Great service and our boat was nearly perfect. We bought a few things at the general store and got great service there too. Nice bunch of folks.

Boats are clean and good condition, very helpful and friendly staff, wouldnt want to rent from anywhere else, have rented the past couple visits, will be using them again

Enjoyed our time on the water with a 20’ Polar from Coco’s. I’m giving the price a 5 star rating while the boat gets a 3. Average out to an overall of 4. The boat switches were sticky and some features didn’t work. No cockpit lights or live well pump. The ladder was extremely hard to use to climb back in from the water. The only gauge that worked was the gas gauge but the rest were all broken. All that notwithstanding we enjoyed it for 3 days. The staff was great and gave us great instructions on the do’ and don’ts.I would definitely rent again, just a different boat.

Decided to rent a boat from Cocos after check in several companies before and the customer service was excellent, very helpful people and knowloged. We rented for 3 days a deck boat bayliner with a 225hp yamaha. Boat ran perfect. We went snorkeling and cruising around. Great company, great people. Will be back next year.

UPDATE: October 20192nd time renting the 19ft aquasport from cocos. Boat ran perfect with any issues. Service was great as the last time. My husband and i spent a great day in the water. I rented their Starcraft 20 bay boat (I was not fishing). Really enjoyed it. On the way back to where I was staying I had it about 3/4 throttle and noticed the RPMs getting lower and figured it was a fuel filter (a very common occurrence actually) and it happened about 5:30 at the end of the day on the way back. I merely slowed down some and made it back to the dock with no problem as I knew exactly what it was.What I was shocked about was when I called Jason he was literally at my location 7 miles from the boat rental location with a new filter within 45 minutes and immediately changed it so I could use the boat the very next morning without delay.When I turned in the boat (which was on a Sunday) he was working on other boats that he had for rentals. I would define Jason as someone who really cares about his business and wanting to please his customers. I would rent from him without hesitation.By the way, the Starcraft was great as we had 5 adults and a 3 year old. Perfect for cruising around, going to restaurants and sight seeing. They even provided us an infant life jacket and lent me two fishing poles in the event I actually wanted to fish.

Easy rental and great price for family fishing excursion.

We were staying in Key Colony for a week and decided to surprise the family with a boat for the entire week. I talked to Jason and he hooked us up with a beautiful 24ft SeaPro powered by a Mercury 275 Verado. Even though I was familiar with some of the area, Jason went over a detailed navigational chart and pointed out local places we can navigate to for fuel, food, bait and of course great spots to find some fish. He also pointed out sombrero reef. Jason also took his time to explain all the features of the boat and navigational signs. Jason also pointed out places not safe to navigate. Soon we would be off on our own but very confident.The boat performed flawlessly. It was truly the best thing to have while you are staying in the keys. We couldnt have asked for a better boat. Plenty of dry storage and room for the entire family. It even had Bluetooth radio so we hooked up our phone to listen to our favorite music. There is no better way to see the subletting in the keys than an unubstrutive view from the boat on the bay side. To get out to sunbrero reef we loaded up the boat with all nine of us and cruised 1 to 2 ft seas at about 3800 rpm at 20mph. The boat didnt bounce everywhere just went through the waves smoothly. I powered it up to over 4500 rpm and it easy moved all of us over 24mph.I would highly recommend you rent a boat from Jason at Cocos. He is a true professional and the boats are all coast guard safety equipped and our even had a color Garmin full screen GPS with sonar!You will not be disappointed. Yes we even caught some fish with the fishing spots pointed out by Jason.
