The facility and prices are top notch. Joy, who works the office, was delightful and very helpful. I feel 100% secure about my items being there.

Acorn mini storage in Blaine MN is awesome. The maplewood location is not the same. Blaine is very clean. No rodent concerns. Security gates so you feel safe. 24 hr access. Hope this is helpful.

Friendly staff. I came Saturday and the was not able to get the locker I wanted but I got one came back Monday got the one I wanted and paid them for it .

BURGLARIES HERE!!!!! I received a phone call in January letting me know that my unit was broken in to. I was also told my unit was the FOURTH break-in that month! All the burglarized units are in the same building, the one in the back of the property. Acorn has NO CAMERAS inside this particular building, so thieves have all the time in the world to go through all of your belongings piece by piece to decide which items they want to steal from you--knowing they wont be caught on camera. Acorn has cameras outside this building, not inside, which is completely useless. The outside cameras dont record thieves breaking into the units!!I made a police report with the Maplewood Police and the policeman told me that thieves are well aware which areas do not have cameras and these are the units that will be burglarized. The suspects punched in their own security codes after-hours to gain access to the facility. So having these security codes did NOT stop these people!! My unit was ransacked. Every tub, bin and box was thoroughly gone through. If Acorn would have had cameras inside the building, I dont think I would be writing this review right now. Here are some photos of my burglarized unit at Acorn storage. All the bins were emptied and thrown around the unit. Anything the thieves didnt want was thrown back in the unit. You can call the Maplewood police yourself to verify this rash of break-ins at Acorn.The sad thing is, I had these belongings at a different storage facility for YEARS without incident. I moved them to Acorn and had a break-in just a year and a half after moving in.MY RESPONSE TO OWNERS RESPONSE: If indeed, camera coverage is your *utmost* concern as you say, you would put cameras INSIDE that back building. When I called to make the police report the first thing that the lady asked me was, Is there video of the break-in? So it is obviously very important to the police to have video inside the building. If you had an inside camera, it would have identified the suspects and corroborated their entry time to the facility when they punched in their security codes. THE POLICEMAN TOLD ME HIMSELF THAT THIEVES AVOID AREAS WHERE THERE ARE INSIDE CAMERAS. So yes, an inside camera would make all the difference in the world. As it is, you had FOUR break-ins in one month. Is this acceptable to you? The question is, do you care enough about your customers to put a camera inside the back building? You have cameras inside the other buildings, dont you? Why not this one? Obviously you need them. Also, doing a lock check daily does not stop thieves who come to the facility after-hours! Thats why you need indoor cameras because after your staff goes home for the day, anybody with a security code can come in and burglarize units. A disk lock is meaningless when someone comes in after hours and has all the time in the world to saw a lock off, knowing they wont be caught on camera because there are NO indoor cameras. You should be making the facility more difficult to steal from, not easier.SECOND UPDATE: The Maplewood Police informed me that they could not prosecute the suspects of my break-in even though the suspects were proven to be the only people in the building at the time. The Police would have needed video evidence to arrest them. But Acorn refuses to put cameras inside that back building because it would lower their own profits. HOWEVER, Acorn has INCREASED my rent just one week ago. YES, after having my unit broken into and stolen from, Acorn has jacked up my rent. Acorn is offering no increased service to me yet they are extracting more money from me. STAY AWAY.

Ive been renting a storage unit at Maplewood for the past six months and have had excellent customer service. The facility is clean and well maintained. I recommend my parents to store there as well and they are also pleased with this storage facility.
