I had the greatest experience ever. Very inviting and welcoming. I got my eyebrows waxed and she made sure they were perfect. Plus the conversation was perfect. It’s like family and that’s exactly what iv been wanting for so long I will be back for all the things. Plus the cutest atmosphere is just a bonus on top of the perfect cake.

So, I rarely write reviews bad or good. But today I was so impressed with the way my hair turned out. I have blonde hair with dark brown roots. I recently moved to north carolina and very leary about trying someone new. Past experiences have taught me not to. Morgan is amazing! She looked at my hair knew exactly what I wanted and it turned out beautiful. Blonde is definitely one of her many specialties.

Went to see Lori Hocutt today, oh my goodness, in less than a year my skin is the best it has been in a long time, we have pictures to prove it!I am a Cosmetologist myself (retired) so I don’t trust my skin to anyone else. Lori is very knowledgeable about the products she uses and takes advantage of continuing education classes on a regular bases, which is the best way to stay ahead in the field.It is unfortunate that someone would post a less than equal review of my experiences. I assure you Lori is a professional and a very talented person! Go see her and find out for yourself...

The place was beautiful. I loved how private it was but unfortunately I was very disappointed with the way the lady did my eyebrows. I can’t even explain how bad they looked I literally cried. It was my first time going and well honestly I don’t think I would go back.

Kennadi is a fantastic manicurist! First time Ive ever had a gel manicure last more than a week (actually lasted 2.5!) and I work with my hands everyday. Highly recommend!

It took me years to think I needed to go to an Esthetician. And, when at 50+ years of age I finally made my first appointment, I found the best Esthetician in Clayton, hands down! Lori Hocutt is the sweetest, most honest, knowledgeable person I would trust with my skin. She spends good money to be educated and trained on skincare and waxing. One of the things that sold me, and has me recommending her EVERYWHERE is that Lori will never do a procedure or put anything on your skin unless she has first tried it on herself. She is not trying to just get you to use/buy the latest trend out there. She wants to make sure she can stand behind and trust what she is doing and having her clients apply to their skin with 100% certainty she is giving them the best she can offer, because she knows how it works and what it will do. And, that’s a person I undeniably trust with my skin. I did read recently a bad review on a sugaring performed by Lori. And, I am sorry that client had such a bad evening. But I can GUARANTEE you, I have been going to My Girlfriends Place for close to 6+ years and it is a very knowledgeable and reputable salon, and the addition of Lori and her services raised the bar even higher. I have had waxing and sugaring by Lori, and it took months for them all to convince me to do it. And, my experience was very pleasant, with Lori, as with any service going out of her way to make sure that I was comfortable, explaining everything about everything to me. So, again to the woman who had left the bad review for her one time first visit, I am so sorry that you felt that way, but I HIGHLY recommend Lori for all of her services. Lori has performed peels and super hydrating facials, plus facials that I just needed to de-stress. Her product knowledge and how she watches your skin respond during the facial goes over and above. If you want the best; if you want your skin to improve; if you are tired of going to Estheticians who dont make a difference, you need to go to The Esthetician Bar at My Girlfriends Place and schedule a procedure with Lori Hocutt, you will NOT be sorry.

I never had a place cut my hair that I was confident when I left I was going to like it until I started coming to My Girlfriends place. Ive left completely satisfied every time. I always look forward to these appointments. Great people, conversation, and haircuts.

I wish I could leave Negative stars, but that’s not an option. I’ve been getting Brazilian waxes for 10+ years and I have never had a worse experience than what I dealt with at this place. It was like being stuck in a bad dream. Lori has ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE what she is doing. I doubt she even has her esthetics license. I waited 20 min past my scheduled appointment time only to be taken back to what is essentially a broom closet to have her start my wax without even wiping the skin clean, then fumble around the room knocking things over at almost every turn and hurting me in the process. I was miserable and mortified that this was actually all happening. I asked her to stop the sugaring and please just use wax because I prefer that and I just wanted to get out of there. She left a huge glob of this sugar paste ON MY SKIN AND LEFT THE ROOM TO GET SOME WAX. By the time my anxiety had gotten so bad that I was now in tears and telling her to just get everything off of me so I could leave I had wax and sugar still stuck to my lady bits IN MULTIPLE places and when I asked her for baby oil to get it off she didn’t even have any...ARE YOU KIDDING ME? So now my undies are in my purse and I’m pulling my leggings on while I’ve still got sticky stuff all over my Netherlands. She did go find some in another room, but at that point there was no saving it. I NEVER write these public reviews because I often find them unfair and one sided, but there is no other side to this. I’m writing this in hopes that I spare someone the same TRAUMA that I endured. She should not be allowed to do what she’s doing. Worst Experience with a wax IN MY LIFE. STAY AWAY.
