I had a 9AM appointment and got in and out fast! I think Brenda the previous reviewer may have the wrong location. Had to throw them a 5 star! High end location with great staff!
On Saturday evening I had gotten a flat tire and had to put on my spare. Due to the fact that it was late, I had to wait until Sunday morning to get the tire replaced so I made an appointment at another business. When I arrived at the business, they were closed. I drove further up the road, only to be turned away by several other shops (understandable as it was last minute and they were busy). I then made an appointment at another Pep Boys location. I booked the appointment 2 hours in advance and approximately 20 minutes before the appointment the manager called me and told me he could not take me even though I had already gotten a confirmation (he was very polite and it was not his fault as there was an issue with the system). In a last ditch effort I called this Pep Boys location and was informed they could take me. The man I spoke with, Andrew, was polite and professional while I explained my situation and was exceptionally helpful when I arrived. He and his team got the job done in a very efficient time period and I was out the door and on with my day in no time thanks to them. After being canceled on and turned away several times it was so nice to run into someone who was truly professional and willing to get me in on short notice.tl;dr: I got a flat tire, made an appointment at a local spot, got stood up. Made another appointment, got canceled on. Andrew and his team at Pep Boys Maple Shade got me in and were awesome.

Brian and Pep Boys saved my day after Holeman Lincoln almost destructed my plans. It was Friday afternoon around 6pm when almost all tire shops were about to close in town and I had 300 miles ahead of me. But my tires were almost gone. I got the new tires from another tire shop but they couldnt help me to install them because they closed at 6pm. I called in and Brian quickly checked me in and got the tires installed and alignment checked in an hour. I was then ready to on road safely and was so grateful that they helped me out. BTW, Brian has broad contract in the tire business in town and he may help surprisingly even when you run out of luck anywhere else. Definitely would come back!
I called ahead when I saw I had a nail in my tire. They squeezed me in and I didn’t have to wait for more than 30 minutes upon arriving.Being an ex-mechanic, I took my custom valve cap off and left my wheel lock on my car seat to help in any way possible. Once they grabbed the vehicle they were done in 5 minutes.The service desk manager was amazing. I had tires done on my other vehicle 2 months ago and had the same amazing service. I will be coming back again!
Giving them only 1 star! Made an appointment for 9am Sunday morning to get an oil change.. I showed up at 850.. They werent opened yet.. Waited until 915 still no one showed.. Even had a worker waiting couldnt get it.. Waited even more until 940 still no one showed ridiculous smh

It was easy to make an appointment online, I just needed an oil change. The day I went it was super busy with walk-ins and I still was in and out in about an hour. The manager was wearing 4 hats and doing a great job. The waiting room was comfortable and set up for social distancing. This location is my go-to!!
Had an appointment to change my oil. The manager discovered 2 of my tires to be low on tread and showed me. They were very worn down from all my driving and needed to be replaced. I got a hot sale price and on I went to my next adventure.

Called at 4pm and they took me same day for an oil change. Was in and out quickly and service was great. Very clean and spacious waiting room too, which is a big plus for an auto place.

I made a last minute appointment to get two new tires for my car. I only waited for 40 minutes. The waiting room was spotless and comfortable. Brian helped me tremendously. He was honest and extremely knowledgeable when answering all of my questions. In addition to that there was a customer that was haggling Brian on price. The customer was relentless and entitled and I was getting frustrated just listening to the guy. However, when I listened to Brian responding to the customer’s insistence on a lower price he was calm, cool and professional. I highly recommend this location and also give lots of kudos to Brian who was a pleasure to work with.

Terrible service. Every time I go something seems to happen that delays me getting my vehicle. My last visit I purposely made an appointment for 1:00 to have my tires replaced. I dropped my vehicle off assuming they would call me when complete. Never heard back from them. Drove in the next morning to get my vehicle. It never moved the parking space! Now they tell me they will have it done in 20 minutes. So far it’s been 45 and now they say they can’t complete the work and I need to get to work. Why make an appointment if your not going to honor it then jump on it when I show up just to tell me you can’t complete it?!! Will be my last visit here!! My time is too valuable to be wasted waiting literally days. So disappointing....
Nobody enjoys taking your automobile in for service, especially when it is a surprise. This was my situation last night when I walked into Pepboys in Maple Shade (store #1637) I was immediately approached by Matthew Smith, a customer service assistant who immediately put my at ease with his pleasant, professional demeanor. (incidentally, as I overheard his interactions with other customers, he reflected the same engaging manner) Matthew was able to resolve my issue promptly & seamless. It is because of Matthew that I will definitely use Pepboys in the future, as well as recommend them. Thank you.
This is a service only division of Pepboys so if you need windshield wipers or fuel injector fluids youll have to go to a retail location elsewhere. Overall good quality service but the reason I didnt give it a 5 was mainly because I do feel as though theyre a bit pricey in comparison to other locations. Now theyre typically able to get you in same day no problem without an appointment at times so its a fair trade off. Ask for Matt.

My battery died and I called ahead to see if they could fit me in for a battery replacement. I did not have to make an appointment but there appeared to be plenty on time slots available online. The service manager Brian Cortese very nice over the phone, and when I finally got jumped and was able to come in, he simultaneously was working the front end AND changed my battery. Its clear that they need more employees, but Im grateful that Brian took the time to help me out even with other customers waiting. When I come here for oil changes, I usually make an appointment and it takes about an hour. Im satisfied with the customer service I receive here.
This pep boys carries the best service Ive ever received. Mathew was AMAZING. He was patient and listened to our concerns. Prior to our arrival we got into an accident right around the corner. We needed the car fixed in order to drive it home. Mathew and the team fixed the car in literally NO TIME! I had purchased four top rated Cooper Tires for my Mazda and had come back over a year later to this same location because of a manufacturer defect concern. Sean the service manager was absolutely fantastic! Not only was he responsive to my concern but he was also proactive in assisting me above what the manufacturer wanted to propose for compensation. Waiting less than one day to get new tires shipped in, I now am riding safely in my vehicle thanks to Sean and his team of mechanics! I woke up this morning with a flat tire thinking my day was going to be not a happy one went to pep boys and they were able to fix my tire very quickly and everyone there was so nice I would highly recommend pep boys on route 38 to everyone as with a tough times everyone there and every customer there was happy and pleasant.
Made an appointment and when I arrived the manager had no indication that an appointment was ever made. Put the blame on his co-workers and had to reschedule on another day. Also noted that was short of employees because they didnt show up for work. I wouldnt have been as upset if someone had called me before I wasted my time to go there.I would have given 0 stars except for the fact that the manager didnt charge me anything for the rescheduled appointment.
These guys are amazing. Friendly, helpful, and professional. Told me what was wrong, what needed to be done to fix it, and didn’t try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need. Sean (manager) wrote down the name of a part I needed that I could purchase for a cheaper price and bring back in to have them fix. When I went to pay the, Sean told me to have a great day. Needed to get a pin hole repaired and they said I could come in right away. Was about 1hr before close. Workshop was empty (red flag). About 15 min later, guy comes out and says he cant repair the pin hole and that I needed a new tire. He then said because it was a 4wd, all tires needed to be changed. The best part was, he had the quote in hand ready to go and quoted $1000+. Took my car elsewhere and they fixed the wheel. But just to check, I rang another pepboys store to get a quote on the same 4 tires fitted. He got back to me with $830.

I would have given 5 Stars if I had more experience with this place. My car tires were loosing air for a long time. I took it to Firestone 1 months back. They said my car tires are worn and need to change. I was managing by regularly filling up the tires. Finally I made an appointment to Pep boys and took the car there. They fixed it in less than 30 minutes and didnt charge me anything. I was completely taken aback. People were helping and well behaved
These guys are great, I Needed a battery and windshield wipers. I was in and out within an hour. I was at a different pepboys for a battery in the I past, it took the 3 hours before they got my car in.
Had a great experience here after getting a flat tire. My car was tended to very quickly even though there were some people ahead of me as well. Matt helped me and was very professional and friendly, would go back for sure in the future.

What you do is search for the part you need on the Pep Boys website & pick the store & the option that shows parts in stock now. You can pay online or in-store. If you dont need the part immediately then it will tell you when theyll be available. 😊 Good times will be had by all.
Excellent service on a r3cent visit to fix a puncture. They were very backed up but told me when they could get the work done and then beat that time and ga e me a discount because it had taken awhile. Very impressed with everyone I dealt with, I will be back for other work

I have trusted this Pep Boys with my service for as long as Ive been driving my car. Most recently I took my car in for an issue with the lights that I couldnt figure out. It took the mechanic 20-25 min to diagnose and fix the issue with the lights. When I went to pay he waved me off saying that the fix was free due to my long time use of his shop. I would recommend this store to any person looking for a complete fix for any car troubles.
I do not go to Pep Boys often anymore because of past experiences at the Pep Boys in Edgewater on Route 130, however, I visited this Pep Boys in Maple Shade because they were the only store in the area that was willing to get the tires I wanted for my car. They were very helpful and polite. The front desk service associate Tiffany was very sweet every time I called the store and when I arrived she double checked both tires that I bought and carried them out to my car herself despite me offering help.Because of this I visited the store again to get a tire plugged and she was very nice, showed me where the tire needed to be plugged and why I might need new rear tires soon. It was a pleasure doing business with them so far and I hope to continue having a good experience like I have had in the past.

Very impressed. Had a slow leak in one tire and they fixed it in 5 minutes and was not charged. Never had service like this. I guessed they considered this a minor thing but it was enough to impress me. I will definitely be bringing business their way.

Definitely recommend this store if you are in a pinch. Had a dead battery after work, and after a jump, drove to the store and was taken in with 30 minutes till closing. I worked with John and he made sure to get the battery I needed for the car and ensured I was all set up before leaving. Being overseas, its hard to take care of my family personally. My wife was recently returning home from a trip to visit family with our baby and dog when she started losing air pressure in one of the tires. When she got to this store she was immediately helped and taken care of and was put back on the road in less than half an hour. I have been to plenty of Pep Boys and this location was a fantastic experience. The customer service was at best and I was not there sitting forever. I will definitely come back again if I have another nail in my tire!
Very polite and they were the cheapest around for an oil change(coupon online) + brake fluid change. After finding other issues with the car they pointed them out and directed me to the dealer instead of trying to upsell me. Telling me the issue should absolutely not be happening with a car as new and as few miles as mine had.

Of course they quote me one thing for my brakes despite me telling them I needed new rotors and pads and possibly a new caliper but when I get there its more than double the price. He kept guilting me to get it done because I needed it and I said I know but I dont have that amount rn without going broke for the whole month but he kept insisting and I said what will happen when you do the work and my card gets declined? And that was enough to shut him up. I got the work done somewhere else for much less and without the condescending manipulations costing me extra. Thx but no thx

They are extremely friendly staff and even the people at the front desk seem to a know a thing or tho about the car. I have been there 3 times and every time was a great experience. So i pull up my car for routine oil change and wheel alignment and every time they deliver that in 45 minutes after they pull in the car, they have a nice lounge to wait in. The 3rd time was particularly eventful, so during a routine oil maintenance the mechanic in an attempt to remove the engine oil broke the housing the holds it was a small chip but needed replacement and they informed me and got the replacement (with no cost to me of course) and since they were not able to remove the housing as the seniors techs were not there, said they have to keep the car overnight, and they were very polite and they provided me a Lyft ride to and from my house and withing 11am the next morning they fixed my car and it was ready for pickup and they took care of the cost and i walked home paying nothing. Granted it was their error but i have experienced things in the past where business is not conducted ethically so 5 stars for that.I would recommend tp be there before 3pm because they have all their senior techs there, not to undermine the perfectly capable junior staff but having senior techs is always a leg up. Summary Wonderful place.
I swung my Pep Boys this morning frantic because when I got into my car for work my tire pressure was 15 PSI. I ran to Pep Boys closest to my house, told Matt Smith what was going on! He was awesome, took a look at it right away and in less than 15 min had me on my way! Thank you Matt! You saved my day!
My Jeep was leaking fluid and fumes were coming into the cabin. They quickly identified the problem to be a bad radiator, rather than some major engine problem. They replaced the radiator and the Jeep is running great. We are very pleased with the quality of work and customer service!!!We also purchased four tires for our Comaro a few months ago. They look and handle very nice on the road!!

Ive been bringing my car to Pep Boys in Maple Shade for the past 2 years and Ive been nothing but pleased. My car is in great shape and they always offer me the best deals. Gerry the manager goes above and beyond to provide excellent customer service, even paying for a meal at a local restaurant while I was waiting for my car to be finished. I have to say that he really takes the time to explain in detail whats going on with the car in a way that I can understand. Give it a try if you havent already youll be satisfied.

My rear driver side tire was near flat and on the rim! I had about an hour to get to my third job.. I had already been to 3 other tire shops and two had time to even look at my tire; and one quoted above $100 after eyeing it for less than 10seconds. So I braved Rte 38 on a low tire, pulled into Pep Boys, and ran in to tell my story like someone stole my ice cream cone. Mr. Smith asked me exactly what I thought the issue was and then asked for my keys. I said but I’ll have to leave in a few to get to work.. he said, “We got it...” I swear by the time I handed him the keys, someone was already heady out to get the keys from him and the car was in the bay like it teleported! Right before I was about to grab some shop coffee for dinner, Mr. Smith called my name... my tire was fixed and inflated in less than 15 minutes! It was a bad valve stem. Repaired, replaced, and out the door. I expected and tried to pay, but he threw his hand up to stop me. The vibe I got was that they made sure there was one more safe passenger on the toad that night. Since they would accept payment, I asked if I could share their pay-it-forward act.
This is by far one of the nicest knowledgeable and friendly pep boys. Highly recommend this Maple Shade location for your service needs. The counterperson Matt was nothing but polite and professional. I had a tire that was going flat due to a screw. The friendly customer service and fast service had me in and out in under 15 minutes. Also read a code for my check engine light that was flashing (random multiple misfires) turns out I got some bad gas. Very professional and polite. Will be using this store for my truck for now on. Dropping the car off after hours for next-day service Bob was closing up late and opened the garage so I could leave my car in a protected area over night. And instead of having me fill out the over night envelope he stayed late and entered my information into the system. Ive used this Pep Boys several times and I always find that they go above and beyond with their service. Thanks again Bob for taking the time to help me out.
My wife and I went to another place who provide oil changes a few weeks ago and within a few hours our car was breaking down at every stop light.It was a Sunday afternoon, and no one had a mechanic still on-site, but Pep-boys near the mall was still open and we got towed over, hoping to at least check the car in with them for a look the next day.The man who met us at Pep-boys was incredibly helpful, finding a temporary fix that could get us home that night.Next time I want an oil change, Im coming here.
If there is -1 star I would use it. I used to love the service here until today. I scheduled for a brake package. The guy on the front desk says the package only includes the brake pad but I argued it also included the resurfacing of the rotor or drum (as per the package description). I even showed the exact wording on the website. The guy says its only pads that is included in the package. So why is it called brake package in the first place, if only brake pads are included??? Visiting NJ and got a flat tire. The Pep Boys staff got to me right away and were super helpful. When they found out they didnt have a replacement tire, they called a different store and got me set up. That is service worth six stars; I cant recommend them highly enough!

Great place! I recently blew a tire from hitting a pothole and they were able to successfully fix it within 24 hours. They needed to order the tire because of the specific size rims I have on the vehicle. On top of ordering them they also had them overnighted so I would be able get the car back ASAP. Great prices, great services, would definitely recommend to friends and family and be back again....just hopefully from not hitting a pothole.

I had very nice experience. I went in for tire check but luckily there was no problem to fix. George Carmichael and Joseph Endicott did a great job ensuring nothing wrong with tire and did not charge me.
I scheduled an appointment online at pepboys website for this location and the website stated “free” A/C check, when I took my car there, they charged me $178 and after 3 hours of waiting they said the diagnosis of my A/C not working is because of the A/C compressor and said it would cost $600 with parts & labor, I paid the “free” check up of $178 and said no thank you I’ll fix it myself now that I know what the problem was. A week or so later I did my own oil change and noticed a little bolt underneath the AC compressor assembly and I loosened it up and it relieved some air pressure with some green residue/gunk and tightened it back up and went to Walmart bought a can of R134-a and filled up my car with AC fluid and then my AC was blowing ice cold so not only did they not do a correct diagnostic but they charged me for it when it was supposed to be a “free AC check” so I will be getting a refund for that and I am never ever ever ever ever ever taking my car to a Pep Boys ever again I wouldn’t even take my mountain bike here let alone my car these guys are the worst, you’ve been warned.

I pulled into pepboys yesterday with out an appointment. They were extremely helpfuldiagnosed the problem and had me out in avery reasonable time. I was very pleased andwould go to this site again with my SUV.
The manager Sean at this location had called me In regards of my complaint this past Sunday about his staff not doing my alignment saying that the tech was “to afraid” to do the alignment on my car. He then apologized and had me come in today to get my alignment done and not only did he do the front end, but also did the rear end as well. I couldn’t be happier with the work that had been done. The staff was very apologetic to their previous mistakes and very accommodating.
Had a car dropped off. Asked that they keep me updated on the progress of the vehicle. The car sat for two days without ever being touched. I call and ask them what the problem was, and I recieved nothing but ignorant remarks and threats. They also tried lying to my friend saying that I had decided to have the vehicle towed to a dealer. Which was a complete lie. I wouldnt bring a lawn mower to this place.

I feel I am being very courteous with this star & the only reason it has 1 star is because its the lowest it allows me to go, and because they had my tires in stock when ordered.approximately 3 or 4 months ago I ordered new tires and an alignment to be done that same day. I was pleased to see there was an appointment time open for both at the time I requested.shortly after making my appointment online, I received a call stating they couldnt do the alignment at that time and asked could I come in earlier. (Im not quite sure why that wasnt stated at checkout online) I agreed stating I could come in a half hour earlier. The guy said no, that time will not work either, that he would not have a technician at that time. (then how are my tires getting put on??) Needing tires on that day, I said its fine, I will just take the tires, and do an alignment another time.I got to the store & park right outside of the waiting room. The guy at the counter hands the tech my keys and I have a seat. After about 3 minutes of watching the tech fumbling around with my car (I drive manual), I walked outside to hear him grinding my gears badly! and rolling forward almost into the curb, which would scratch, dent or crack my front bumper. Aggravated (as anyone who cares about their car would be) I kindly told him he has to lift the lever to put it in reverse. once again, he was grinding my gears away and stalling. I told him I would drive it to the back, and did.After waiting approx. 2 hours for only my tires to be changed (I was the only person in the place, no other cars in the shop, nothing!) I was finally checked out, received a mile long receipt, and told my car was out front.Not 100% sure why the tech decided to park my car as far away as he did, but after getting into my car, I notice my parking brake was off, and car was not in gear (which if you drive manual you do one or the other or both to prevent the car from rolling!)A couple of days later I decided to clean my wheels very well, as they were super dirty after getting new tires, and I notice a ton of scratches on my wheels!NOW today, getting an oil change, and tire rotation for the first time since leaving here, my garage tells me Pep Boys tightened my wheel locks so much they are going to snap if they loosen them to rotate my tires!!! (all my other lugs were tightened normal) so now I need to come out of my pocket to replace wheel locks that should never be tightened as much as they were!!Not sure if this was the kids first day ever touching a car, but he should probably never touch one again!!
Gerry and his crew went above and beyond to give me amazing customer service when I had major car issues this weekend. Gerry was honest, caring, and patient when explaining all of the issues, and how he thought we could best go about solving them. I will be bringing my car to this Pep Boys for as long as he works here.
Tire replaced it was under warranty got free tow . Very responsive
