I lived here for 2 years and it was an experience to say the least. A/C unit was on its last leg and they didnt want to replace it leaving us with a very high monthly electric bill and we were usually only home just to sleep most days. The one time we were able to get maintenance to come by the man put several gashes in the vinyl flooring which they later made us pay to replace when we left. After overpaying most months for nearly 2 years we accidentally shorted our rent by a measly $2 dollars (simple math error) and was charged a huge late fee by the new landlord who gave us zero sympathy for the silly mistake. Also be aware of your rent being raised $25-50 everytime you renew your lease! The walls might as well of been imaginary because you could hear everything your neighbors said or did. To top it off I had the WORST neighbor that all of us renters are afraid of. I could go on forever. Anyways, I recommened choosing elsewhere lol.
If you want reliable parking dont come here. Lived here for 2 years. Parked in the same spot for 2 years. Neighbors moved in and now i no longer have a spot to park. Called management to find a solution only to be told there are no assigned spots so tough luck, its first come first serve. If you like peace and quite this is also not a good place. You can hear everytging neighbors do and say through both the brick and paper thin drywall. I do not recommend this place at all and will be moving the first chance I get.
Multiple times I have come back from work to find a newsletter from the office on the ground or stuck between the wall and the mailbox instead of actually inside it. Maintenance never fixed the glass doors or dishwasher that were reported faulty on day 1. Floors squeak pretty much everywhere.
I lived there a few years ago. Wish I had never left. The management is great and the townhouse was cheap on utilities. However, the central air was nice downstairs, but upstairs during the day was not as cool as you would expect. We used room units for upstairs but those didnt effect the electric by much. I plan on rerenting from them again. I miss that place!!!
God awful, you can hear your neighbor sneeze thru the paper thin walls...they charge you for every little thing. Not well maintained and if you live above someone you can literally smell them thru the shared vent system...nasty! Thats the best of that place, we wont even talk about the worst.
If I could rate less than a one star I would. Heres my story. April 15th 2018 I was living in a duplex outside of Heatherwood. My fiance and I were moving into their newly acquired doubles. April 15th 2018 I was told to give my 30 day notice to my landlord. I did that. Then Management tells us it will not be ready in time. Well. A 30 day notice means a 30 day notice. My landlord had already rented my place out to someone else. So as a result I was forced to move in with my fiance in his tiny one bedroom apartment and I had to put all of my stuff in storage. Sure we thought oh we could do this for 4 more weeks. We were waiting on a new kitchen they said it would take 4 more weeks. So we found a storage moved everything and hoped for the best. 4 weeks past nothing happened. No kitchen yet. No cabinets even ORDERED yet. At this point my fiance then had to contact upper management to get any information because heatherwood management was no use. At this point its June still no kitchen. My stuff is still in storage. We were told its gonna take a bit longer over and over. My fiance always had to call in too. They would never call him back like promised. July came we were given our first possible move in date. Ha should of known better didnt happen. We were given another move in date... didnt happen. Then we were told a 3rd move in date still didnt happen!. Finally on July 31st 2018 we got to move into the double. 3 and a half months later.... They compensated only 150 of 240+ storage rental fee. A lot of my stuff got ruined in storage as well. The new place has a 2 page list of things wrong with it. The main problem being a window that is completely FILLED with ivy and greenery along with mold for our kitchen window. We were told things would be done that are not being done. We were told a new driveway was underway. My fiance cant even use it we have to use the grass as his car sits lower. We were told we could pull out the dead bushes in the front yard now we cant. It has just been the worst experience I ever had renting. I will never reccomend heatherwood terrace or Roger c Perry properties to ANYONE. If we had somewhere else we could of moved into we would have never stayed. Were stuck here for the time being but as soon as I graduate and we get a house were moving and NEVER coming back.
They do not take care of the units, the staff is unprofessional and unfriendly. Do not recommend, maintenance here is a joke. I have nothing great to say about these but the location close to 30 and 71 is nice.
Clean units, well maintained, responsive management. Safe and cozy.
Got to live somewhere
