When my 91 year old Grandmother’s air conditioning went out during our recent heatwave we called around to see who could help. Davis Comfort Systems does it again. Can’t say enough good things about them. Our furnace decided to quit working on a Saturday. I called Ken and asked what he could do for us. He offered to meet me if I needed heaters to get us by until they could get out and replace the furnace. Tim called first thing Monday morning then drove down to Wells to discuss which direction to head. Called later that day to let us know they would be there first thing Tuesday morning to install the new furnace. Guys showed up and in no time had the install complete. Before they left they made sure to leave things just as clean if not cleaner then they found it. Would not hesitate to call them in the future for any of our repair needs.

We had a great experience with Davis Comfort Systems and would recommend them to anyone. Some things that we especially appreciated was that they came out and gave us an estimate right away. They discussed the options we had with the replacement of our furnace thoroughly and helped us explore all of our options. They also did all of the paperwork for us to get the Xcel and Centerpoint rebates. They were able to come within a week to install our new system and had it done in a day. Overall- they were awesome to work with.

I have spent the last couple years trying to figure out the moisture issues in my home- have insulated, new windows and siding- still @ 60% humidity. And I decided to do the A/C at the same time. What a difference it has made in my home- much quieter and the humidity has gone to 41%! They were all very professional and helpful. Josh even came back after hours to add some insulation to a pipe area on the floor. Josh asked to use my vacuum to make sure my carpets were clean and free of little pieces of insulation from the attic. Can the last year I upgraded my homes furnace and got a new air conditioning from Davis. I work with Mitch to figure out what the best fit would be for my house for a new AC. We sat down and looked at the numbers and he recommended two models. He was honest in telling me which would really work best for my house. I appreciate a company that doesnt forcibly over sell. during the consultation even made a recommendation to improve the life of my furnace with a new filter system that really wasnt much of a cost at all. The actual installation was incredibly simple. The technicians took care to cover their boots every time they walked in even though I told them they didnt have to. They clearly work with a sense of urgency, and took the time to show me what work they completed when done. I can truly say the air conditioner saved my bacon during the summer, and while I hope I have no reason to call them I know Davis has my back if something else goes down.

Since moving to Mankato we have had Davis Comfort Systems install a new boiler for our in-floor heat and replace a non-functioning air conditioner. They did both jobs with professionalism and were so clean that we didnt even need to vacuum after they left. AC system installed was not correct for the square footage to be cooled. Less then a month after installation we questioned the systems performance and they came out and checked it then tried to bill us. We even offered to pay the difference of the units to have the correct one installed and they would not do it.

They installed the furnace and AC unit when we moved a house and now years later we needed a new furnace. They are always looking out for the customer and offered a great package deal to upgrade our AC unit as well they were very professional and exceptionally nice to work with. They also offer regular maintenance which is great for me otherwise I would never remember that type of thing. I would highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling needs.

I called during the Polar Vortex and Jose was the one to answer the call. My brand new furnace was not working properly. Jose talked me through turning it on and off. He also had me check the filter(which was the problem). Before he left Mankato, he called back to make sure that everything was working properly. i truly appreciated that call.On another note, I chose Davis Comfort Systems because my friend recommended the company and she would get a gift certificate to a restaurant. Tim Ireland came, gave the estimate and I now have a new furnace and AC, which I am pleased with. I am also pleased with the men who installed the furnace and AC. They swept the basement where they were working. What I am not pleased with is the fact that he never gave my friend her gift certificate. She emailed him and the receptionist. I emailed him and spoke with the receptionist who said he would be calling me soon. He never did call, he never delivered the gift certificate. Very poor customer service on that end.I received a call from the owner to rectify the gift card. My friend did receive her gift card.

Wow!!! Very impressed. Our furnace died the night before last and when I called Davis Comfort Systems at 7:20 am on the following morning. I talked with a very knowledgeable gentleman by the name of Tim and he assured me I could rest assured they would get us taken care of. I happened to be out of town so my wife was left alone to take charge. A service tech was there within a half hour and determined there was no more life left in the old furnace. He called Tim and he was there within another fifteen minutes . He spent a short time gathering the info he needed and had three or four options for my wife to choose from within minutes. He let her choose the best option for us with no pressure to upgrade. Tim left moments later and returned with four electric heaters to keep the house warm until the new furnace could be installed. Here it is now, the next day around noon, and I am sitting at my kitchen counter writing this in complete warmth and comfort with our new furnace purring like a kitten. I have Spent my life in all aspects of customer service and have never been treated this well in fifty some years. BTW the technicians that installed the furnace were polite, quiet, efficient, clean and able and willing to answer any questions I may have come up with. Excellent-excellent work and many-many thanks to the entire team at Davis Comfort Systems. You made a huge problem for us virtually non-existent. Mr. Davis....... Give your team a great big raise. Good work, but expensive in my opinion. Be sure to get an estimate before having any work done. Took tech 1 hour 15 minutes and to install water heater under warranty and bill came to $575. That was labor only. After work was done I was informed that the new water heater only carried the remaining warranty of the original, 9 more months.

Davis Comfort Systems was great to work with! We moved into our new home that had a boiler and no central A/C. Instead of tearing the basement apart and installing all new duct work, our sales consultant Mitch recommended that we look into the Mitsubishi ductless system. We couldnt be happier! Not only did we save money, and our basement, with the install but our utility bill went down $190 in July as we were running two window units to stay cool last summer. I needed a new furnace and air conditioning system. Based on their reputation, I went to Davis Comfort Systems, Inc. in Mankato. I am so glad I did. Mitch did an excellent job of explaining the various options for the furnace and air conditioning systems that I could install in my home. I made a decision to go with Trane and have been delighted by my choice. My gas bills have gone down by 1/4 due to the efficiency of this system. The installation went very smoothly and the customer service I have received through Davis shows they are dedicated to providing the best service to their customers.

We have used Davis Comfort ever since they opened for business when we needed to replace our furnace. Their annual fall checkup has been well worth the extra investment, catching minor wear and tear issues in advance of having a breakdown at 30 below zero! The techs that have visited our home were prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Even our dogs (who dont like ANY strangers) interact calmly with them when they come in the house! Prices seem comparable to other local vendors, but even if a bit higher, I place a high value on having people in our home that we can absolutely trust and not have to worry about our dogs going crazy. You really do get what you pay for with these folks!

Good overall; a new furnace comes with a transferable warranted, which I really liked. The reasons I give three starts instead of 5 is that 1) they charged me for the initial inspection ($70) when I paid $4000 for the entire new furnace. 2) they didnt turn on the water heater again when finished, so my family had to shower in the cold water next day. Really annoyed.

My 30 year old Trane furnace finally gave up Monday morning. The Davis team responded quickly to send Salesman Mitch Allore so I could make a decision on the next step to restoring heat. Mitch presented 3 options and carefully explained the choices. Thankfully, I had planned on my furnace going out for a while so I was able to choose the unit and by the next morning my new furnace was being installed. This will be the last time that I will use Davis Comfort Systems, Inc. After several uses of their services over the years, I was overcharged GROSSLY on an A/C repair. I was charged roughly twice the price to repair my A/C as I have experienced in the past. In comparison, Liberty and Countryside, they would have been half the price.I spoke with Jody and Tom at Davis Comfort Sys. I explained my concern. No remedy was offered. Instead, we received a letter mentioning that we had a reference to Jesus on our profile. As if our faith has something to do with the review we posted.Not good business.

Technician arrived at the house and took a cell phone call. Remained on the phone for the majority of the duration at the residence, then billed $120 for the 10 minutes of work performed, which was taking a plastic bag off the exhaust pipe outside. $720 an hour is a pretty good rate. I think they broke it down to $70 to show up, and $50 to take the bag off the pipe. Next time just point at the bag, and I think I could probably manage that repair myself and save $50. Tech actually said, Ill give you a deal when he wrote the invoice. HA

I was initially working with another company to install an HVAC. Mine was original to the 1950s house I live in and it was time to replace. Unfortunately, we needed an emergency replacement in the middle of winter due to the amount of CO that the boiler was producing. This other company originally quoted $6,900 for the replacement in the previous year when they were out working on it. This year, when their revised quote was $10,000, I knew it was time to call for a second opinion. I had heard through friends and coworkers that Davis Comfort Systems was a good company to work with. When I called and they learned my heat had been turned off until a new system could be installed, their response was immediate. They had someone come out that day to quote a price - which was hundreds less than the original quote from the first company I spoke to. They were respectful and worked with me to get the heat turned back on until a new system could be installed. They went over and above to make sure my home and my needs were taken care of. Because of their efficiency when installing the HVAC, they came under their quoted price and in addition, worked with the gas company to get me a rebate for the new system. I am so pleased with their professionalism, their speed & efficiency, and their work ethic. I will be using them again and highly recommend them to others.

The owner is a sexist pig. He didnt want to talk to me about an issue we had because I was a woman, he kept insisting to talk to my husband (just assuming I knew nothing about our issue). We had them come to the house because our AC stopped working and we wanted to have them inspect it and tell us what was wrong. They figured out it was just a fuse that was blown. So, they used one of our fuses and screwed it in and then charged us for the inspection ($69) and to screw in a fuse ($50). To charge us that much extra money to screw in something we already owned is a little ridiculous, it only took a few extra seconds, plus, thats something we could have done once we knew thats all that needed to be fixed.I will NEVER go back to them, horrible owner, very rude.

I highly recommend! Mitch did a great job getting me options for my estimate and the installers were very courteous as I worked from home for the entire install. They worked around my boiler as an added bonus!
