Weve been using mosquito squad for a couple years and are very happy with the service. Our property backs up to a river, and the bugs can be quite bad at times. They come out and do a thorough job, we have over an acre of property. My wife enjoys the peace of mind knowing that the treatments control ticks as well.

Tried to do business with mike but he had cheated me on our agreement. I actually even tried to give the benefit of the doubt despite the other bad reviews. But enough time has went by and still heard nothing and I agree with the rest of the bad reviews. Don’t waste your time he honestly doesn’t care about anything but himself.

Awful results and horrendous customer service. Wasted so much time trying to deal with them. We have worked with this company for 3 years but enough is enough. We will never work with them again and were already getting recs from friends and neighbors for a replacement service.Not only has the service this year been worse than ever, but weve had frustrating attempts to try to communicate with them about our concerns: my wife has called three times in the last week and asked to speak to a manager each time. Each time shes been stonewalled/told they can take a message. Needless to say, no manager has called back, our concerns have not been addressed, and were not interested in wasting any more time waiting on this shambles of an operation.We will certainly be warning our neighbors, friends, and family against making the same mistake. . . . Well also be using bug spray for the rest of the year and warning our guests to do the same. Huge disappointment and major embarrassment.

Do not do business with Mosquito Squad of Northern Virginia. Other mosquito squad locations, like DC, seem to have better customer service but I’m not sure. These guys are terrible. Don’t believe them when they say they’ll refund you if you’re dissatisfied with their service - you will have to hound them relentlessly to get it. It literally took us a year to get our money back. Their service is poor quality and they run their business dishonestly. We were told a dozen times during the last year that our refund would be taken care of - each time, nothing happened.

My home was sprayed for mosquitoes 3 months in a row and we saw no difference. The guy spraying did it in under a minute both times so I called to cancel our service with them and get a refund. The guy I talked to said he’d talk to accounting and refund us. The next month they came to spray and we still hadn’t been refunded. This was 7 months ago, I’ve called every month, talked to 4 different people trying to get my refund, each one saying they’ll take care of it. It still hasn’t been resolved. Go with Moxie, don’t bother with these guys. I think they’re hoping I’ll give up and stop calling. They’re dishonest.*** update- it’s been a year since I canceled and I just got my refund after the owner Beth called to apologize. She said she had fired the guy (mike) who handled it and had no idea what was going on. She said she would hand deliver the check the next day. Days go by, nothing. I call and email and she apologizes again saying she thought it had been handled and she’ll send someone over again. The guy she sent to deliver my refund coincidentally was Mike, the same name of the guy she said she had fired over all of this. Suspicious.

After using them this year, I had to write a review. When we initially called the person who answered was very friendly and informative. She made it easy to sign up and set our expectations and answered our questions. When it was time for the first treatment, we were given advance notice and the crew was timely, professional and even friendly. We immediately noticed that we had NO bugs at all. For the rest of the season the crews came as scheduled and our high standards were always exceeded. We recommend the Mosquito Squad to all of our friends!

Ive had a 100% positive experience, from the interaction with Mike when I made the initial call (good info about the product but not a hard sell, just a nice, friendly guy) to the amazing, excellent product that really works. I had a yard infested with the dreaded Asian Tiger Mosquitos, wed not been able to use it for most of the summer for the past 14 years. From a few hours after the first application two months ago or so to now, Ive maybe seen 4 mosquitos. I am beyond thrilled, Ive can go outside again, garden and just relax without being eaten alive. The techs are very friendly with good communication skills. A customer is notified via email the day before a visit, that is very convenient. I had to delay an appointment yesterday, I called the office after 6 pm, someone answered! and then I got a follow up call a bit after 7am today reassuring me that they got the message and could easily reschedule. The money I spent for this service is the best money Ive spent on a contractor for years. Thanks Mosquito Squad!

My experience with this company is excellent. Their customer service is outstanding. We had a special event that was scheduled in between regular sprays. I called their office on a Friday morning and they came out, free of charge, later that day so that we could get the treatment before our party that weekend. If you have mosquitoes and ticks then you need to give them a call. Their products work.

In July the tech finished my half acre yard in 2 minutes. I was leaving as he arrived and decided to pull around the block and watch them. One guy never entered my property and sat on the tailgate, the other spent a moment in the backyard, left the gate open (the gate on file listed as DO NOT USE) and did a beeline from the gate to his truck, skipping 80% of the front yard. I called Mike to ask how long it should take (about 5 minutes because you have two services and there are two guys); I tell him to cancel the service and file a complaint. Additionally, per his request, I follow-up with an email. At this point, this is the THIRD time speaking to Mike about gates being left open, including finding my dogs in the front yard. I told him to stop all service and refund July on, back to my account, that I wasnt paying for partial service. He agreed. August, get another email that they are doing treatment, call and cancel, again speaking with Mike. They do treatment. Still no refund. Gate open. Today, they show up after I called yesterday expressly denying them access to my property and find a bill on my door. Mike wont take my call. Were now entering trespassing and legal action. A year ago they were decent with a decent product. Today, Id recommend you use ANYONE but them. Do not trust them on your property or that you are receiving full service. The customer service is pathetic.

Original post was pretty negative based on a response I initially received from an office worker concerning a billing dispute (I was told that since I had not cancelled my service in writing, that I was still liable for the cost of treatment ; which I had not received since I notified them by phone). Subsequent to that call, received a phone call from the owner saying that was not the case or the policy of his company; the billing should have been discontinued as soon as they were notified and he apologized.All that said, service does work very well, just got too expensive for me to continue.

The tech came in and gave an estimate which we agreed upon and he performed the first service. The next day billing department called and told us a completely different higher bill total. We cancelled the service after paying the first service at higher rate . Not accurate description of charges. Will never use again.

Great service, and it actually WORKS. We moved to Northern VA and couldnt believe how many mosquitoes there were, it was unbearable. We had Mosquito Squad for 3 years, and the difference was extremely obvious, to us and to our guests. Even walking over to our neighbors house we could tell a difference. I love that they only spray on the perimeter of your property too. Any time we saw mosquitoes, we could call and they would come out the next day and re-spray (this maybe happened twice in 3 years). They are very responsive over email, which is also nice. We would still use their service if we had not moved away.

We have been very happy with the service provided to us by Mosquito squad. We signed up in April and there are now have 7 houses in our street using Mosquito Service.I was a little doubtful to whether or not this would work, but we all have seen a huge reduction in mosquitos as well as the added advantage of a equally huge reduction in gnats/no-seeums. Its easy to sit out side again in the evening without being coated head to toe in OFF or the like!Mike, in the office has been very easy to work with and weve taken full advantage of their event service where you can get an extra spray in ahead of a party/barbecue/etc.We shopped around before choosing Mosquito Squad but felt the offered the best value and service and Mike was definitely very responsive and very customer satisfaction focussed.I would happily recommend Mosquito Squad to friends and family.

UPDATE*** Feb 10th 2017Mike from the company called and explained that this was a huge mistake on their part and I do not owe a dime. He apologized for the mistake and offered me a free season of service for the hassel. Changed my review from 1 star to 3 star.Feb 8th 2017They sent a bill in the mail for $699. When I called they said your contract auto-renews (which I was completely unaware of). So I told them I would not like their service this year(which they conviently do not have record of). Now nearly a year later I get a bill in the mail from the collections agency for an amount differing $699. So instead of telling me that I owe them money or sending me a bill they sent it right to the collection agency. I called the collection agency today and they said your account has been closed due to error and mosquito squad has been incorrectly charging and we have closed all their accounts with us and are no longer working with them. So that just goes to show you how mosquito squad likes to do business. I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone ever and looking at the other reviews on here, most people feel the same!

First time I heard about this company was through a co-worker. After hearing my friend talk about them a few times, Ive decided to give them a try. When they finished their first initial service, I did notice a decline in the mosquito population; however, they came back so a second spraying was needed.Before they came out to my house, on their website, I swiped my credit card and it stated that the payment did not go through so I tried another card. Again, it stated that it did not go through so I decided to wait a day. The following day, I decided to check my credit card companies and BOTH of the payments went through despite Mosquito Squads website telling me otherwise.Since then, I have been calling from September until now and each time its the same results. Either no one answers or the dispatcher tells me that someone will be sent to my location. Its been two weeks now and still no solution. The mosquitoes are also back as my dogs have been getting bitten. Their service seems to be a very limited and shady.Mosquito Squad has one of the worst customer services that Ive had to experience and their service is horrible. Ive called both my credit card companies and have disputed the non-processed charges.PLEASE BEWARE AND CALL AT YOUR OWN RISK!
