We used Joe to remove three Ash trees and have consulted with him on new plantings. He is truly an expert and craftsmen. His recommendations are backed by science. His crew is professional and its clear that safety is a priority. Many contractors will send one person to bid the job and others to complete; Joe will be there and will be the guy in the tree. Joe also accommodated us with reusing the chipped wood and cuttings for our kids to play on!
My wife and I moved into our house 3 years ago, and one of the things that we really loved about it was the beautiful black walnuts in the back yard, easily the tallest trees on the block. Unfortunately, when our first spring came around, there were a lot of dead branches that came tumbling down with it. The previous owners had never done any tree maintenance. On advice from neighbors, we contacted Joe House for an inspection. He came by personally, and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful about our trees, what we could expect for the future, and what sorts of work was necessary now, in addition to quite a bit of local botanical knowledge. When Joes crew came by to trim some of the deadwood, it was a real treat to watch. Those are some high climbers! They removed the deadwood, cleared away all of the debris, and were also able to remove an ash near the fence line (due to the emerald ash borer issue thats hitting a lot of the US) while preserving a Norwegian elm just a few feet away. After all the work was done, Joe helped me to pick out and set up a tree swing for my kids, who have really enjoyed being able to play in their yard without any fear from falling deadwood!
Joe has done tree work for us for many years now. He is a truly knowledgeable professional who cares about the health of our trees and our environment. With his excellent equipment, he and his small climbing crew have done major pruning and removal in our yard with minimal disturbance to the surrounding plants and gardens. And his prices have always been the most reasonable that I’ve found. We highly recommend Joe and Tree House!
Joes services are exceptional in many ways. He was not only attentive to my (the customers) wishes but also to professionally assessing the trees conditions. He adeptly and patiently dealt with MG&E four times about high voltage wire areas. He and his crew miraculously dropped branches and limbs precisely into difficult places--outside many curved gardens, even a small space between two houses. When finished, they were meticulous in cleaning up and removing all limbs and leaves. My neighbor even commented that his saws were quiet. Add to that, it was thrilling to watch their safe climbing and maneuvering of dropping branches and tree trunks.
Joe and his crew did an excellent job on my project, and they did it fast and professional. There removal of the remnants and clean up was also outstanding. I would highly recommend them for any tree related projects.
Joe was a great resource in removing the ash trees from our yard and reusing the wood chips for under our playset in addition to repurposing the stumps as a fun climbing activity for the kids. He also is very generous with ideas and advice about trees. We are glad to have found him!
I called Joe late in the day (3pm) hoping to just get an estimate and advice on what to do with may Large Ash Tree. There was a split at one of the forks. That large branch was overhanging my neighbors house. If we got another good wind storm theres a good chance it would snap. He did a great job of explaining everything. Me, being a good neighbor didnt want to worry about it, so it needed to be removed. The rest of the tree could be removed later. Joe explained he just sent his help home for the day, but called his helper back and started the job right then. He did a great job of stacking everything and nothing touch my neighbors house. He was very professional, and very good up in a tree.I would highly recommend him for any tree project or questions. Hes very knowledgeable.
Joe House and his crew did an outstanding job pruning our many large trees for an excellent price. They were on time, friendly, and respectful. They worked quickly and efficiently (even as a torrential rain storm hit) and cleaned up well. Joe is knowledgeable, experienced and fair. I highly recommend this business.
Tree House Arbor Science is well priced, exceptionally knowledgeable, and understands how to work with families to provide long-term care for trees. We have a number of large trees around our house that have a variety of individual issues. Joe House has provided long-term care for our trees, is conservative in his recommendations, and works very well with the whole family (kids included!).My wife and I have to share an experience we had with a large tree in our backyard in which Joe House found a large defect. He was worried because he noticed a swing, and a fairy house around the bottom of the tree, so its clear that tree has some sentimental value. As a result, he was concerned about taking it down. He indicated that if it did have to come down, he could carve the bottom onto a fairy house for our daughter. As It turns out he has a special piece of equipment that determines wood density using ultrasound, and hence whether a rotted portion of the tree has spread throughout. He explained the whole process to our concerned 5-year old daughter. Instead of removing the whole tree, he set up a plan with us to remove the top part of the tree, which would allow us to keep the tree until our daughter gets older.Sorry for the long story, but it shows what kind of group youre hiring when you hire Tree House Arbor Science - someone whos thinking about the whole picture, who understands families, and who uses cutting edge technology to provide care plans for your trees. If we could rate six stars we would do so!
