We have been using Capitol City Tree Experts for 3 summers. They have been instrumental in treating and saving the 5 large Ash trees on our property. We have had 2 EAB treatments (2 years apart as recommended), a root stimulant treatment this summer and their crew was here yesterday to trim the Ash trees to get the dead/damaged wood out. Everyone we have been in contact with over the years has been friendly and professional. They listen to our concerns and provide answers as well as recommendations on the best way to proceed - Miguel has been instrumental in helping us plan out the attack on the EAB. Our trees look better every year! The trimming that was done yesterday by Trace really made the trees look fantastic! I know a lot of people are not saving their Ash trees, but ours are such a big part of our landscaping we felt it was worth it to try to save them. Capitol City Tree Experts has done an amazing job for us, and we very highly recommend their services.

They didnt even bother to show up for the initial assessment/consult despite having me make an appointment for them to come out more than a week in advance. Lame.

We ordered black mulch from CCTE. The mulch was delivered on time and where we asked it to be located. It is high quality mulch and really beautified our landscaping. Highly recommend!

Called them multiple times to treat my tree. Each time I was assured the person for my area would call me back to schedule service right away. After weeks and multiple calls with no follow up I gave up and got an appointment right away with another service

We ordered 17 yards of the double shredded oak mulch. Cody communicated well on delivery timeline and then called when they were on their way. Even after delivering the mulch that they were not hired to install themselves, he gave some tips on best practices for how and where to install. We only ended up needing ~13 yards, but our neighbors are happy to take the extra off our hands (aka our driveway). I will come back to update the review if the performance of the product doesnt live up to the first couple steps in the process, but so far so good

8/30/18 So to understand your response, you are not able to correctly stake a tree unless you planted it? All of the trees in the picture were straight when they were planted but their first winter found them tilting. If you were unable to do the work correctly the first time, you shouldnt have taken the job. You charged me a significant amount to go all the way to Blue Mounds from the East side. Its your issue that you had to come back to correct your work. Very UNPROFESSIONAL The work I hired this company for included a load of mulch to be delivered on my driveway was dumped on my lawn. They moved it. The trees to be staked were crooked and they had to fix that as well. Finally, the 4 trees that needed treatments, ended up being 3 because 1 died before they came out. I was told the bill would be adjusted accordingly. It wasnt and they said there was a minimum fee to come to my house which was not communicated to me. Completely shocked at the poor service and the way I was treated about the final bill. Friends got a good laugh out of these pics.

Capital City Tree Experts consulted with my husband and I on the trees on our property. We thought we needed to remove a shade tree but they said removal was not necessary. Instead, we placed it on a treatment and pruning cycle. It was so much more affordable than to remove it - AND we get to keep the shade!!!

Eric and crew were here to do some tree trimming for me. ive had Capital City Tree here to do tree work for me several times over the years.This past week they were here for more tree trimming because there was a very large tree with a tree branch hanging perilously over the roof. They did a FANTASTIC job of trimming the tree while maintaining the health of the tree. I was so impressed. They were very careful, clearly aware of safety issues, and just did such an excellent job. You can count on them to take good care of your trees!

I have a flowering crab that has apple scab, I have never seen out tree look so beautiful with Capital Citys treatment. They also took care of our asian beetles and injected some type of solution into those trees to help prevent them. They are super nice guys and always here when they say they are coming. Highly recommend them!!!!

**Update** We recently ordered mulch from Capital City Tree Experts. This is a great new service, and we were really happy with the mulch we ordered. It had a lovely color and smell. Several neighbors commented on how nice our refreshed perennial beds looked with a thick layer of mulch. The price was great and delivery was prompt. I’ll definitely order from Capital City Tree Experts again.We hired Capital City Tree Experts to remove a tree from our yard. I was impressed with how easy it was to work with them! They clearly communicated when they would do the work, arrived on time, finished quickly, and left a clean yard! If the tree wasnt gone, I wouldnt have even known they were here. Their pricing was competitive and fair. We would definitely work with them again!

We called Capital City Tree Experts for help with storm damage to the tops of 3 trees in our yard. They brought their “spider lift” which worked well because our lawn doesn’t have room for equipment. They cut, trimmed and cleaned up branches and sticks making the place look better than before! We were very pleased that the spider lift left no damage to the lawn as well. They were professional and efficient. They offered advise but also listened to what we wanted. Good job Capital City Tree Experts.

Andy and Cody just left my place after taking down a large pine tree and a large walnut tree next to my house. They also trimmed up a couple other trees. My yard is cleaner than it was when they got here this morning. Stumps flush cut as requested. Nice work! From meeting with Miguel to get a quote, correspondence to confirm the quote, scheduling the work and work completed, this outfit is first class. Darrell and his crew did a great job removing a gigantic silver maple limb that was hanging over our garage. The tree belonged to a neighbor, and they were very professional about getting proper consent from them prior to removal. Aside from being 50ish feet tall, it was hanging precariously over the garage and the power line to the house. We have a fenced in back yard, so that also made removal more difficult. They were able to pop one of the fence sections off, and drive their equipment into our very tight yard. They didnt leave any tracks, and took care to leave the yard as they found it. My wife and I would highly recommend Darrell and his team!

These guys are amazing! I had a next door neighbor getting a very large tree taken down and Ricky and Andy were very professional and careful with our property as our houses are pretty close together. They even took a small pile of tree limbs we had from the last storm that came through and put them through the wood chipper for us!! That was such a help!! I was kind of worried about that big tree coming down, but they did it quick and cleaned up so well afterwards, you would have never known they were even there!! Highly Recommended!

Cap city removed our large front yard Ash tree, with minimal damage to the yard. They ground the stump down, removed all of the wood, and seeded, hayed the hole. Great work with good communication from the staff.

The care and safety measures utilized by the crew in protecting my property and performing the work was exceptional. Kevin, Nick and Terry arrived a little early for my scheduled appointment to prune four trees and started promptly at 8 a.m. this morning. I was very impressed with their professionalism, quality of work plus how quietly they worked (which Im sure my neighbors appreciated)! They were done in under an hour and waited until about 8:45ish a.m. to put the tree branches through their shredder (and Im sure my neighbors appreciated that too). Did an excellent job of cleaning up around the trees after they were done. Great guys and I would definitely recommend them.

Great place for all your tree needs

Do not order mulch from them. I placed an order via their website three weeks ago. I emailed them one week later, as I didn’t hear anything from them. I got an email from Bill the next day saying he would call me in the morning. He never did. I called 3 times over the next week he a half, Kathy who would answer treated me poorly every time. No word from Bill, no mulch. Me and my family probably would have given them about $10,000 over the next 10 years too, as we have 36 acres. I will never buy from them again, and I encourage everyone else to find mulch elsewhere.
