First-class! This is the best in customer service Ive had in a salon, how lucky for me that I moved in this neighborhood 2 years ago! Steve, the owner, is very service oriented. Actually, everyone who works at this salon is customer-driven and makes me feel like Im a valued client each time I go there. I have never had to wait for my stylist and I appreciate that! Cheri is my stylist and her haircuts are not only fabulous but she always listens to my requests. My hair has improved tremendously since shes been taking care of it. She is passionate about hair and excellent at her craft. Steve and Cheri are very good at trimming wigs too!

Review DELETED.I thought that my hair would look okay after growing out for a bit, but it’s actually worse.Avoid this place; avoid Cheri in particular.

Cheri was a very pleasant stylist. She layered my hair very nicely, the way I asked, but it appears that the layers were not cut quite as short on the right side. It was an hour of work, and not only did she deal with my difficult tangles successfully (which usually take a half hour or so) but shampooed conditioned and layered my hair. Next Ill be in for a coloring.

I’m honestly very skeptical about letting other people color my hair, I’ve been dying my own hair since I was 12(I’m 21 now) but my hair is super damaged and fried and would t take color so I set up an appointment here and my mind was blown away! They took the challenge and gave me exactly what I wanted! My only issue was later on in the night I found out they didn’t wash all the color out, they missed one spot but honestly I HIGHLY recommend this place!!!

Ill have you know... My shellac toenails I got done before my wedding (8/6) still look absolutely flawless - even after hiking rugged terrain for 8 hours up a mountain on the Appalachian trail. Cant say the same about the rest of my feet - but hey! The nails look great.

DuWaynes has an excellent Covid protocol; I had no worries about exposure while I was there. Cheri cut my hair. I showed her a picture and we discussed it a bit then she cut it just as I was hoping she would. She was very skilled and delightful to talk to. Im so glad to have found a new stylist I love after my previous person stopped cutting hair due to the pandemic.

Kirstin did my baby’s first haircut after being recommended by other moms on a facebook group. She listened to what I wanted, explained what she was doing, didn’t seem flustered at all when my baby started to cry. We got a lock of his hair and a picture of his first haircut. They took your temperature before coming in and wore masks. We will be back.

Steve is absolutely the best! We’ve been taking our kids to him since our oldest’s first haircut 4 years ago, and we’ll never go anywhere else! He’s so good with our two boys (4 and 2 years old). They’re always so excited to visit “Mr. Steve”, Charlie Horse, and the rest of the staff. DuWaynes is truly a treasure here in Madison.

Amazing salon! We took our 17 month old for his first haircut tonight and they were amazing! We saw Laurie and she was great with our son. They just rolled with it and basically let my son run the show. I was worried he wouldnt sit still, but all staff members helped put my mind at ease. Thank you! Waxing was not too painful, and was a quick process. The half haircut experience was nice & Cheri always makes sure she gets the job done RIGHT! She is diligent at her job and I appreciate her skills. I’ll be coming back in a few months to get another haircut & possibly do partial highlights as well.

Ive been going to Duwaynes Salon for 30+ years. I have had only one less than great cut (from a newbie to the team) and they made it right. I feel like Norm from Cheers when I walk in now. Steve and Teri and the crew are friendly, do a great job, and always offer (low-pressure) suggestions on keeping my hair looking good. Recommended.

Took both of my sons for haircuts, with it being the first haircut for my 10 month old. The haircuts turned out okay but it felt very rushed, especially for his first haircut. Also, Michele, who cut his hair, was not very friendly and did nothing to try to put him at ease when he was nervous and crying. Also, my 3-year-old’s haircut turned out okay, but when he said he wanted it a little shorter she rushed him out of the chair and didn’t offer to trim it more or do anything to change it. Disappointed after reading all the positive reviews and driving all the way to the east side for this and spending a decent amount of money.

I went to the salon to see Connie for a pedicure. The entire experience was FABULOUS! When you walk in the door you are are greeted by everyone nearby as if you are a very special person, not just an ordinary customer! My pedicure was terrific in every way! Connie is friendly, and calming, while doing a wonderful lower leg and foot massage. My pedicure left me with very happy toes that look fabulous! I shall return!

The people here are long term professionals who know how to cut and style hair - you will leave with exactly what you asked for.Added to that is an easy to access location with plenty of parking and a relaxed environment. I am not tempted to go anywhere else.If you are looking for a calm and professional stylist, I can recommend Laurie.

I have been a Mr. Duwaynes Salon customer for over 30 years. A co-worker recommended the salon to me when I complained about how hard it was to find someone who could work with my naturally wavy/curly hair. Steven cuts and styles my hair and he does a fantastic job EVERY.SINGLE.TIME. The salon staff are friendly, accommodating and flexible. The prices are reasonable and the location is convenient for me. I have NEVER had an unsatisfactory experience at this salon in the many years that I have gone there.I always feel welcome when I enter the salon and staff feel almost like family to me. In the winter, the parking lot and entry is always cleared of snow and ice and the salon is neat and organized. They offer other amenities like a good cup of coffee and cookies while you wait for your appointment.
