On my way out of town I got a flat tire on the interstate. I just made it to the exit and off the ramp to the side of the highway. I called road side assistance as the flat was rim all the way to the ground. Before they got there, Wally P. from the Machesney Park location pulled up on his way to work and got me taken care of. I was back on the road within 20 minutes of stopping, and on to my work commitment. He was great and helped plain and simple because he said it was the right thing to do. I will get my new tire from Pomps and highly recommend Wally P. Thank you!

I came to Pomps because another shop couldnt get my tires on my truck, and had actually ruined 1 trying ( hard sidewalls M/T tires). But once I received the new tire the guys at Pomps were able to get them on, and also fixed a broken sensor for me. The whole shop of guys were great! All very nice, easy going, and helpful. Because of my experience with the previous shop, they helped me out a little on the price of everything. Its my understanding that they are under new management, and I cant say enough good things about my experience here. Joe and Andy are great managers, and Eddie who did the install thank you all so much! Shout out to Wally, just cuz he was so sweet to me the 1st time I showed up and we discovered my tire was ruined. I think he could tell I was ready to cry lol. They got the job done that the other guys couldnt! And it looks pretty sweet!

I would recommend Pomps and the staff to anyone. Wally Perez did an outstanding job with my new tires, and went above and beyond to help me out with an issue I was unaware of. He bent over backwards to help me to be safe and was extremely knowledgeable. I actually thought he was the manager in the garage.There were 3 other vehicles there when I arrived and he had his hands full. He checked on me and kept me updated throughout. All of the employees were very helpful, Dominic ( I think) was awesome, and Logan was great to chat with as well. Another incident happened, so Wally called the manager to keep him posted on the cracked rim issue that he found that I was unaware of, and I believe his name was Joe, when he came into the garage area he actually swore at him and said whats going on Wally, yeah I heard you, but I was in back fn busy. Im pretty cool and thought Joe was too, but that was extremely disrespectful to Wally and unprofessional in front of me. Hopefully he apologized. Overall Pomps is a terrific place to get new tires and feel safe about any issues you may have in the future. I will be back and recommend Wally and Pomps to friends and family!!Thank you!!!

Friendly staff fast service clean facility

I had a flat tire on the highway. I began jacking my car up and suddenly a Pomps Tire truck pulled up in front of me. Wally came and helped me quickly switch out my tire, and got me safely back on the road. I was extremely grateful for his assistance, and called the store to tell the manager how thankfulI I was for the help. Then I asked if I could come out to get my tire patched right away, and they said of course so I headed over. The staff was amazing and very friendly. They had my tire fixed and back on quickly. Overall, this saved me a lot of money and time. I would recommend Pomps to anyone, and appreciate them so very much. Thank you!

My tire blew out recently and after waiting over an hour for roadside service, Walley showed up after being notified by the sheriff and got us back on the road right away and didn’t have to wait any longer for roadside.

I had a flat tire and the technician Wally not only pulled up behind me and made feel safer and helped me change my tire and helped me on his own to make sure I was good to go.

Under new management but there are workers there that have been doing the job for decades and really know how to install tires correctly. This is one of the pricier places to get work done on a semi but if youre paying hundreds per tire then one or two ten dollar bills per tire in labor can be money well spent.

Amazing service!! I was a tech for 5 years and am very happy of the service I received on my car trailer today. Not only did they help us get back on the road but they also didn’t rip us off on installing the tires! Highly recommend for your next tire purchase! Couldn’t thank pomp’s enough!

Pomps Tires is awesome. I had a problem on the road in my RV and I pulled into their shop. They quickly identified the tire separating and then checked all my tires. Couldn’t have been nicer and pleasant to work with.

I took my straight truck there with a flat outside tire, I asked the service writer if she could have the technician check the pressure in the other tires & she said that she would. They repaired the flat tire & Larry Smith (store manager) came in to the waiting room to inform me that it was repaired, I asked him if the pressure was checked in the other tires, he rolled his eyes in frustration & went running back out to the service bay & then came back in to the waiting room to inform me that they had everything put up (giving me the impression that it was a hassle for them to do what I had asked them to do from the start). Larry, Im sorry to have bothered you, well take our truck elsewhere from now on for tire service.

Had a flat on my U haul car trailer. Unfortunately U Haul had the gentleman bring the wrong size tire. Another man brought 2 more tires out to replace for safety. The kind man replaced the tires and followed us to get close to home safely. Thank you sir. You went above and beyond to make our road side assistance the best it could be in a frustrating situation.

1st time I went in I had a screw in my steer tire and he plugged it without fully convincing me that it needed a plug he didnt check it for air leaks or anything so I was a little concerned but the 2nd time I went in they checked to see if it was leaking air which it wasnt and they pulled the screw and I didnt even need a repair so no charge
