Larrys Tire & Auto Repair has always been the place that I take my car for the past 3 years! As a local student away from home and a girl who doesn’t know that much about cars, I know that I can trust them when it comes to anything involving a repair or maintenance issue for my car. I’ve recommended them to all my friends and cannot recommended them enough !!On a Wednesday, one of my tires stopped holding air and I called that night to make an appointment hoping they could get me in by Friday because I had weekend plans I had to travel for. They got me in at noon on Thursday and found the issue, patched my tire and did it free of charge since I was a return customer. The staff are so incredibly nice and the waiting area is very clean and comfortable. My appointment took an hour, which on short notice is totally acceptable, and I was very comfortable with wifi and a couch to continue doing work remotely while I waited. As long as I’m in Lynchburg, I will always be going to Larry’s !

Stepped outside my house to find that my tire was almost completely flat. Not an ideal situation, especially considering it was 4pm on the Friday before 4th of July weekend and many Tire/Auto places would be closed at 5pm for the holiday weekend. I made some calls scrambling to find a shop that could take a look at it. I was fortunate to call Larry’s Tire, and their fast and friendly service had my tire repaired (from a rogue screw lol) in about 30 minutes and I was on my way. These people are friendly, and provide great service in an honest and fair environment. Don’t hesitate to give them your business.

Another great service experience at Larrys. Called the day before after finding cords showing on my front tire. Inquired about having the 2 front tires replaced. Got an accurate quote and was able to schedule for the very next day for installation. In under an hour and a half had new tires and an alignment. Ill continue to go here!

Larrys Tire & Auto Repair has friendly staff, a clean waiting area, and exceptional service. Most recently, I came in with no appointment with a flat tire. They were able to have my tire patched within the hour! I definitely recommend them if you have any repairs that you need.

Ive been a customer of Larry even before he started the actual Larrys Tire & Auto. He (and the staff) are very hard working, honest, extremely thorough at what they do, friendly, and fair (price & stands behind the work performed and quality of parts). Today is the first time Ive been in with my new-ish Jeep. I went in to get the oil changed and the tires rotated and balanced. Within 5 minutes they discovered I was missing a lug bolt. Needless to say they got me all taken care of in no time. Claudia and Kevin were super nice . I was reminded of how much fun Hawaii was! 😊 Keep up the great work!

I have been going to Larrys for 6 years and have always been pleased until today. They were running way behind, possibly overbooked. When my car had not been touched after 40 minutes, and I was told the oil change, tire rotation and inspection would take an additional hour.... Ugh. No thanks. I left. And nobody except me was wearing a mask. So poor time management, wasting my time, and lack of concern for the well being of others means I am looking for a new mechanic shop, sadly. So disappointed!

Took my vehicle in for inspection, I have a Silverado with drums in the rear. They told me the rear brake pads were bad, went outside to look over my vehicle and there was not a single sign of fingerprints on my dirty wheels.. Not a good sign of an honest business, won’t be taking any of my vehicles there again.

Bought 4 brand new tires with warranty of 70,000. 2 years ago. only went 21,000 on them. told they needed to be replaced very soon. so brought them to larrys. honored giving me new tires, though i paid for 30% use. so basically 70% off each tire. told me i needed an alignment before looking at it. i said i didnt need one. so they explained that if doesnt they wont give it. i said ok. well, turns out, it didnt but they charged me 10.00 per tire to rotate and balance new tires when that should be free because i got the tires from them. on my old invoice there was no such charge. said it was new way of pricing, instead of including in tire they separate. they didnt tell me about that charge either when telling me price of tire. so bottom line, sure i got tires for 27.00 each but had to pay for disposal, taxes, fees, etc.. a second time around because of bad tires. (and mount and balance)

They were able to get me 4 new tires in one day for a good price and they were very nice to work with. However it seems in their haste they did not reset the tire pressure monitor.

Very pleased with the service I received! I had my tire blow out the day before thanksgiving so Friday I was looking for a tire that matched mine and they had 1 left. Gave me a very good deal and due to the spare going out they got the knew tire ready to pop on and allowed me to come back and balance it and make sure everything was good. Waiting right for them to balance which has taken longer than expected but they have a very clean nice waiting area with coffee popcorn tv and comfy seating. Definitely would consider using them if my mechanic can’t get to a problem in a timely fashion!!!! Excellent!!!!

Extremely professional, great service, and much better than our dealership experience. Weve used them twice now. One time for a tire change. The other for an oil change. During the oil change, they saw the tire light was on (had been for years even when tires were properly filled) and they checked the tires and reset the light.

Brought my vehicle here due to the great reviews. Had a tire leaking air and wanted to get it looked at. They patched the tire and handed me an invoice for $0. I’m assuming my look of confusion was amusing. They stated that the first patch was free and wished me a Merry Christmas. I will keep coming here and recommend them to friends and family. If I would have taken it to the dealership I probably would have been charged double just because...lol.

Ive dealt with Larrys before a few years past and was quite happy with them... this past visit was fine except when I initially called for a rough estimate of known problem, I was quoted around $380. However, on the second call when van was seen in person for same estimate it jumped to $525.... being that the van was already there I had the work done, but maybe they should not be giving estimates over the phone, especially well below the true cost of repair.

Brought my car in for a mount/balance and an alignment and unfortunately they were unable to get to it in time due to the holiday backup of jobs. They went above and beyond and were able to squeeze the job in first thing the next morning to make sure that my plans were left as unaffected as possible. The staff apologized profusely and understood that their customer base is busy as well and needs to stick to a schedule.

Awesome, empathetic, energetic staff, honest, reliable work, at fair prices. I highly recommend them. Due to past experiences I have always dreaded dealing with auto mechanics but they go over the top to make things pleasant.

My wife took her car there to have her brakes looked at due to grinding from the rear. They said they would check all brakes and provide a recommendation and estimate. Their recommendation was to replace all rotors and pads for all 4 wheels. They said front rotors were warped and rear was metal to metal. The estimate was 650 dollars so I decided to do it my self and what I found was unbelievable. First, I knew front rotors were not warped as there was no shimmy in the steering wheel when braking. The rotors were in good shape and the pads had two thirds good life. When I got to the rear the drivers side needed a rotor and pads but the passengers side only needed pads. This business is charging for work that is not necessary! Rip off!

My family found Larrys when I first came to Lynchburg for LU. Once I got my car (2010 red Beetle), I always took it to Larrys because I knew they would be able to fix the problem and be fair about it. I came up from NC the other day and brought my car specifically so they could look at it. Thank you for always helping me!!

I just moved to Lynchburg from Texas. I have had a very hard time finding the right size tires for my car. The gentleman at this location really helped me out. He told me “I don’t have it here but let me make a phone call and I’ll have it for you “ within 30 minutes my tire arrived. Then today I called and told them my low tire pressure light was on. They told me come on in we’ll check it for you. Not only did they put more air in my tires but they also replaced my license plate light for me without me even asking. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for great service and a friendly atmosphere.P.S. they also have free popcorn lol.You guys are awesome 😎

Took our vehicle in because the battery wouldn’t hold a charge. They said they fixed it (we were surprised when they told us it was not the alternator). Almost $1000. Told us we would need a new battery. Ok. We replace the battery, but the vehicle is still not right. Ended up having all exterior lights and interior light turn off on the pitch black road at night. As soon as I could, I pulled over. Vehicle died and would do anything after that. Managed to jump it and get it back to Larry’s. They say “Oh, it’s you alternator and it has ruined your battery”. Said they would fix the alternator (almost $600) and replace our battery at their expense. I called to pay and asked about the new battery at no charge. “Yes ma’am. New battery at no charge to you”. Went to pick up the vehicle and IT WOULDNT START. Went inside to find out what happened. “Oh, we charged the battery, but I guess it didn’t work”. Remember when they told us the battery was ruined? Remember when they confirmed that our battery was replaced at their expense? I called and talked to the manager who was apologetic. Finally went to pick up the vehicle the next day. It was parked way in the back and was parked so close to another vehicle that you know they had to work to get that close. A child could not have gotten in the driver’s side. I went and told the manger we would never return and that his people are PETTY AND VENDICTIVE. Never again. Less-than-bright mechanics and crappy customer service.

This is a great shop, top rating for character and work well performed on my daughters Jeep Liberty. My daughter attends Liberty University and is far enough from home where I cannot keep an eye on the condition of her vehicle. I searched for shops near Liberty and Larrys came up as the #1 recommended on Yelp. I called, spoke to Heath and made an appointment within an hour or two of my call.The issue was a rear window motor failing as she was unable to raise the window to close. The mechanics found that a connection has become disconnected and were able to quickly fix it. She was only charged a labor charge and no parts. A dishonest shop could have charged her a lot more and acted like they put in new parts. This shop is honest and helpful!

This is one of those rare perfect storms of the right place, the right people, the right advice, the right equipment, the best prices and guarantees, and the absolutely best auto repair that I have ever experienced in over 40 years. My 2012 Honda Civic hit a curb at high speed some months ago and blew the tire and threw off the alignment. Cashs Alignment of Madison Heights tried, but the steering wheel was still canted to the left; you let go, it went left, you straighten it out, it went right. Cashs pointed to the slightly deflected sway bar, calling it a control arm and told me Id have to replace it ($$$). Bills body shop told me the frame was probably bent and it would cost $150 just to check. And then I decided to try Larrys Tire & Auto Repair. Turns out it didnt have a bent frame, need a control arm, sway bar, or anything else. They expertly went over my car with a fine tooth comb and made it right without trying to sell me unneeded parts. Chris helped me pick the best new tires for my car, and then Mark (an alignment GENIUS) put my baby true again. Driving back home up Rte 29, she is straight as an arrow once again (look Ma, no hands!!), more responsive, the quietest she has EVER been and I even got OVER 50 MPG for the first time EVER!! The friendly professionals at Larrys Tire & Auto Repair are honest, caring, and they explain the reason for everything they do before they do it. I sure am glad I found them. My Honda now drives and feels like a brand new car and I just cant stop smiling. This is the best investment I ever made! And I figure with the gas savings, those tires and alignment will pay for themselves within a year. I cannot recommend Larrys Tire & Auto highly enough. I will be going back next oil change for a free rotation (for the life of the tires, btw). And they still had the lowest prices I could find ANYWHERE. I am so happy. Thanks again, guys. I have to say, i pulled into wells Fargo bank drive thru when i left i felt hard thump in my tire, was a big bolt. Drove over to larrys immediately, they checked the bolt and immediately said they could take care of it, i was ready to order a new tire ugh. But they waited, could have made money from me, Finally upon inspection they realized they could repair it. Thank god, thank larrys tire. They fixed it. I was a new customer, they were there, when i needed. I cant Express enough the professional, the customer service, that i experianced. Sorry i cant remember names, 11/08/18. Horrible will never take my truck(s) there again will go to harris - the only reason i took it there was harris said because my trucks were lifted they could not allign. needed ball joints in my dodge 1500. got it back with a large dent in the bumper.. told them and they did nothing... should have learned my lesson but I was in a hurry so took my f250 for some work, got it back the steering fluid was completely empty, there was greasy hand prints all over the truck even on the inside, and the worst is the steering that use to be tight goes all over the road. will go to roanoake to a quality shop
