The integrity of this place is second to none. We are from MN and were moving my daughter to college in Lynchburg when we had car problems. Tony worked us in and helped us quickly. To have a mechanic who is trustworthy is priceless. That is what youll have here. My daughter will take her car here ONLY and is telling all her college friends. I wish I lived close by so I could have a trustworthy mechanic! Cooks Automotive is the BEST!

I was moving my son into College and after a 10 hour drive my car broke down and needed a repair. We went first thing in the morning and got right in and it took no time at all. Very fast and extremely friendly service. From being out of town I figured we wouldn’t get the best service or price. On the contrary we were treated with the up most respect and courtesy 10/10 recommend. Our son will be using there services in the future.

My a/c started blowing hot and I thought it might need a new compressor. Quotes at the dealer were $2000+. Took it to Cooks Automotive and he fixed the problem (wiring) which saved me literally thousands. The communication was great and it was done in a reasonable time. 5 stars.

Tony did a great job on my car (Ford Expedition). I had problems with my idle rounds at the traffic light. I drove there during my lunch break and he checked the car. I didnt expect he could fix it right away but he did!!! It was a 30min wait until everything worked again. Great job and awesome customer service. I highly recommend it!

Tony is the best mechanic by far that Ive ever used. Hes serviced 3 of my vehicles now and everytime I was overly satisfied. Hes very professional, and up-front with prices. Hes my forever mechanic!

I went to Billy craft Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram here in Lynchburg, Va. they wanted to charge me 800$ for a repair which included a clock spring, and inspection. Cooks Automotive saved me money by Tony the owners honesty. He made me aware that it might be less expensive to buy the whole steering column for my 2011 jeep wrangler which would solve the fix of the needed clock spring, plus it would improve my steering of my jeep because my old steering column had a lot of play in it. I was able also to get a six qt. oil change, and alignment for less than four hundred bucks. Since then i have used tony for a oil change, and another fix, he gets you right into his shop when time for you is crucial, thus he flexes himself to suit the needs of the customer, he is very honest, does good work, his crew is very efficient, and tony is a fair man to work with. plus they have a military discount. I would highly recommend this business for your auto service needs. 5 stars!!!

The care and work is beyond excellent at Cook’s Auto! This is the one place I can take my vehicles and not feel like I need to worry about the work being done. Tony ( the owner) and his staff are very courageous. They gave me my price before starting the repair. While doing the repairs, I waited in the waiting room. It did not take long. Because of their kind service I will be back to have any other repairs that need done on my vehicle.

We took our 2002 car into Cooks Automotive. We had a large oil leak and he lifted the car up and showed us where he believed the leak was coming from and gave us a really low estimate for replacing the fuel pump. I had already agreed to replace the whole thing, but when I came back in he only ended up having to replace a gasket which save me hundreds of dollars. He could have easily just gone ahead and replace the whole pump and I would have never known the difference, but he was honest and tried to save me as much money as possible.

We have used Cooks numerous times and each time have had other problems occur after having it fixed. just spend $1500 for a problem with transmission which ended up with us no longer being able to drive and left on side of road BC the motor locked up, (when we were told nothing wrong with motor from Tony) took another car there to just get a headlight changed out ( put the wrong bulb in) they removed the top too the fuse box, didnt put back on, so rain got into it and caused it to need to be replaced. A light bulb change turned into a $800 fix from another company to make it drive able.

Tony always deals with us with prompt repairs, its done right, and at a fair price. And he is always very courtious. We never go anyother place when our cars needrepairs. We recomend him 100%!

Cook’s Auto is seriously the best. Not only did they squeeze me in last minute to fix a bulb, they took the time to listen to my concerns and answer each one. They go above and beyond with their service and explain things so they make sense. I made future appointments for other work and they called me within the hour with the answer and estimate. Absolute rockstars. So thankful I found them. I won’t be going anywhere else!!!

First time using this shop. Tony & Joe were amazing from beginning to end for my Ford 150 Extended Cab. Axle had broken but also cut me a break on labor & fixed my passenger side window for much less expensive than dealership. Joe is usually the one at the front desk managing the flow of info between customer and mechanic. He does such a professional job! Tony REBUILT my van engine several years ago, so I KNOW they do EXCELLENT work for a fair price, and they stand behind their work. As a single woman, it is a rare thing to feel safe when I need to bring my dilapidated old cars to a mechanic. But at Cook’s, I can depend on Tony to treat me with courtesy and respect, while taking the time to help me “cover all the bases” of car maintenance.

Cooks automtotive diagnosed and repaired my Acura MDX that needed a blower motor replaced. I was able to have working heat in my vehicle after the repair which I’m very thankful for because winters are cold without heat ;) They also repaired an old 1995 mercury villager that needed a lot work done, the fuel pump needed to be replaced and the exhaust had some issues that required soldering. It also had a radiator hose that was leaking that got replaced. The mechanic was able to fix it up and get up and running again in no time. I am very grateful for Cooks Automotive to get my vehicle back on the road. They are a honest quality automotive shop I can trust and will definitely do business with them again and again!!

I moved back to Lynchburg almost 4 years ago I really am very happy with there service if something is not right after repair they fix it have been very onest reasonable prices and expain and show me what is going on with my car iI dont trust easily has in charlottesville had dealerships and other not be honest with but Cooks has be fair and right and Tony is a christian I can tell it shines through when i did find a mechanic in Cvlle i notice a bible on the counter and he was honest and good so i believe that a business run by a christian is my best bet i had breast cancer twice and they will always have business you can not go wrong with them I think God I found them
