Bell’s was recommended to us by our family. We had van door motor and cable replacement and a driver door hinge replacement. The customer service was very good from start to finish. They had to order a few parts for our repair but made sure to keep us up to date on what was going on. The repairs were finished in a timely manner. Bell’s is one of the best repair shops we have been to in Lynchburg. If you need vehicle maintenance or repair take it to Bell’s.

Bells did my annual check up and 100,000 mile check for me last week and I had another great experience. They helped me diagnose and supported me selling a problem car a couple years ago and have been with me and my Civic since pre- purchase inspection. Tim always checks in with me if I need anything and to ensure the car is running well and their services are top notch. They were originally recommended by a mechanic-friend which says a lot to me and I completely agree with the recommendation!

Tried to tell me I needed $1400+ worth of repairs to get my perfectly fine working car to pass inspection. Took it to another auto shop and all it needed was a light. Cost me $20. Dishonest. Will try and cheat you for your money. Avoid at all costs.

Consistent and ReliableI always receive excellent service from Bells. The option to drop my car off the night before is convenient and they always go beyond expectations when it comes to customer service. My car has 145,000 miles on it and it drives like it did when I brought it home from the show room. I wouldnt take my car anywhere else.

After forty years with Bell’s Automotive I have never been let down. First and most importantly; very honest, professional/kind employees (who I can call friends), records kept on all my repairs. Meaning they can quickly asset if there is a issue or not. Tim has also checked out every car I’ve ever purchased. Two of which I purchased from Bell’s. I’ve been burnt twice badly because I was looking for a someone closer. That won’t happen again, I’ll drive the thirty miles to make sure I have any issues corrected. My engine seized up, while I was visiting family in Lynchburg, and I had my vehicle towed to Bells Automotive. Their pricing, to replace the engine, was exceptionally lower than what the dealership quoted. They were able to locate an engine and install it within a week. Im so glad my sister recommended this place.

Took my truck in for new steel break lines they replaced all for a fair price but tried to get me to pay over $1800 extra in unnecessary parts when they lied about my bleeder bolts being seized. Telling me I need all new calipers pads and rotors. I took my truck there on a trailer and brought it home on one. I am a backyard mechanic and I knew something was up. I took my wheels off and saw no tool marks or traces of PB Blaster. I stuck a wrench on the bleeder nuts and all came loose with ease. Im just calling it like I see it, they lied to my face and tried to hurt my wallet. I will never go back and would advise going to another shop.
