CORRECTION! **10/27/21 **One bad apple ruins it all..Being new to Lubbock, been going on a guest pass, an employee verified with me when I went at lunch today (Monday) but then...I come back to finish my workout (around 6pm) and the GM gets very disrespectful saying the date is no longer valid even though its says activated in there computer system.(I planned on signing up the prior weekend but was told my pass was still activated)On the 2nd I planned on getting the $59 membership with tanning, (again Im in town temporarily living out a bag due to moving states) But being disrrspcted and treated like trash at the front desk makes that hard to do.As a franchise owner, my manager would be tossed very fast, this was a power trip. The other employees are great and respectful, hang on to them

I met with the front desk clerk. His name is Kevin. He was amazing at explaining all the memberships, took me thru the gym and explained everything, he was very friendly and patient. He also gave useful advice. I am very happy with customer service, the facility is clean, and I recommend it!!

Jolly good gym. Lots of nice machines. Not too busy and they have a child minding area.

For $10 a month!!! I say its a 5 star.

Ive enjoyed this gym for the past two years Ive been going but closing off the turf area for a class of 4-5 people is really frustrating. I understand not wanting people to walk in and out but I just needed a kettle ball to finish off my physical therapy routine and they are only located in that area. I was told I was not allowed to grab them by the instructor. I talked to the front desk who was totally willing to go and grab them for me which is why I still have 3 stars but it makes me as a customer feel kind of unimportant when Im told Im not allowed to grab a weight that isnt even being used by the class.

Clean, friendly staff, and the people that come are not judgemental in anyway. I love my gym 🧡

I have had a membership with this gym since theyve opened Ive opened, sadly I have not used it hardly at all(that is one me )still 2 months ago I opened a new bank account and didnt think about the gym since Ive never made time to go, today I got a call from a collector saying I owed nearly 80 to the gym. I immediately called the gym to figure out wat was going on, the said my account is still active I asked how so since they couldnt collect from my closed bank account I told him to cancel my membership, he says he cant cancel till I pay the owed balance. What in the hell!! He even compared it to Netflix, he says the membership just keeps going? I informed him if you dont pay Netflix they suspend your account and you cant use it till you pay. That is completely different also you can cancel at any time which crunch is refusing to do. Beware of this gym and its bad bussiness practices.

I ALWAYS love going to Crunch. The atmosphere and the friendly staff makes it all worth. It is now my home.

Friendly staff, great kids area, very clean and they are great at keeping up with machine maintenance! They really mean it when they say it’s a judgment free zone too. We started with Crunch when they first opened, and have never considered going anywhere else.

Everything is great! EXCEPT the HIIT classes. They kick 40+ people off just to do a nonsense class for 2 people (literally, maybe 3) its infuriating if the only time we have to work out in this area is around the same time some unqualified trainer is telling Everyone to leave.

Great morning front staff, very personable. David and Andrea take care of your fitness needs. They offer suggestions, when asked, about certain machines and what each one is best for. They always have a smiling face!My only complaint that I have is the cleaning of the fitness class. The employees maintain the weight room however, they forget to take care of the fitness class area. There is visible dirt, stains, and fuzz balls on the floor. Secondly, there is one fan that has been broken for over a year and has yet to be fixed!If the classroom area was clean and the fan was fixed, it would be a top-notch facility!

Good equipment, the child care room is nice, staff is good. Only have a problem with the gym closing out an intire section for a class. Its really inconvenient especially when theres like 5 people in the class and theres like 20 people that want to use the area. Hope they figure that out.

I have just started coming here, and Im in love! I love the variety and the judgement free environment. Im trying to get healthy again after having my baby and Im so glad I decided to go with this gym!

Went with a friend feeling nervous at first,but soon after beginning our workout started to relax and felt the stress and tension go away. Saw different walks of life there and didnt feel I was being judged. Staff had a upbeat attitude. Bathrooms and locker room were clean. Saw other patrons clean the equipment after use. Will definitely continue coming to this location.

Large clean facility. Lifting oriented, but still has cardio, classroom, and free motion space. biggest complaint is it can be very busy during peak hours but that just shows everyone wants to go to this gym.

I honestly am addicted to this place. Im here everyday and am sad when i miss my morning gym routine. Sunday mornings are the best if you want to do everything. Most machines and benches are open. Thank you club goers for missing that sunday morning pump!

Very clean and nice, wide range of equipment. I have been to many gyms and this one is my favorite so far. The front desk staff was very nice and genuinely happy to be there, assist and answer any questions I asked. I’ve gone as a guest a few times and tried their free week trial, but was unfortunately only able to use it once due to illness and having to go out of town. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

Had a good experience, good environment. However a few key pieces of machinery were broken and the personal training staff were not able to give me basic safety advice for a basic compound lift. That being said theres plenty of cardio and strength equipment available at the front desk and management is very friendly.

This place isn’t the best place for a workout, main machines are always broken, hygiene of paper towels are always out, i left my air pods pros in my sweater by my bag and they were stolen with there being no cameras access. Extremely disappointed in crunch lubbock, definitely going to have to switch gyms

Laura’s spin clas is phenomenal and the staff was super friendly and helpful. I am looking around at gyms and need childcare, it is free until I decide!! AND my 6 yr old met a buddy today. Fantastic experience! Can’t wait to try another class tomorrow.

I’ve been visiting this locations as a guest with my friend who does have a membership. So far the location seems good. When going during peak hours it can get busy, but that happens with anywhere you go. Everyone seems really friendly when I do visit and we are still able to get a good workout in. I do like the offered childcare while working out since we are both parents and staff is usually attentive.

Always a killer workout. Lauren does an excellent job mixing up our workouts, and I always feel the burn!

Spoke with a representative in April of 2020 to terminate my contract ( I can’t remember her name. But it wouldn’t matter; they cycle through employees so fast). From my records, I have not received a bill until they opened back up from COVID-19 restrictions don’t I thought the process was complete. I was never provided paperwork after being told I would be emailed them. Now it is Mid-August and it looks as if I am being charged for membership for 2 months at 64 dollars. I was only on the 20 dollar plan. I have talked with the account email and they are forcing me to pay still.I’ll pay. However, I won’t recommend Crunch due to this unprofessional behavior. I have heard many friends say this has happened to them, but I never believed it. Just watch out with their business practices.

The variety and quality of the equipment is great but it doesnt matter because no matter what time of day you go, it is so absolutely PACKED that you cant get a decent workout in. And yet, they continue to CONSTANTLY run promos to get people to sign up. For the love of God, open some new locations or stop running promos. And get enough collars for the all of the bars, its infuriating to have to search the entire place just to find two.

Its great just missing a pool,, And not there falt beause of the flu open 24 hrs .

I used to really enjoy working out at this facility. The equipment was new and the staff seemed to take pride in not only the members but also the atmosphere. After a year and equipment becoming used and repaired infrequently, I chose to end my membership. I explained the issues I had with the facility to a manager when I cancelled my membership. My hope is the friends I have, which still workout at this facility, will have a better experience than mine in the future

Affordable great gym equipment thanks

Cancellation process was a complete joke. Attempted to cancel over a year ago and was continually billed for the entire time after I was confirmed to have had cancel the membership. Management does not help in the process and makes it difficult to get out of the membership, even if you moved in my case. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a gym with better management.

Ben the manager is sharp and made my experience one to talk about. Facilities are beautiful and staff is super nice. Trainers around to help and all brand new equipment. Open format with plenty of equipment! Super clean and Sarah at front desk had great energy ! Check it out first before shopping around.

I love Crunch! The membership rates are such a great deal for the benefits your receive. The classes are great, lots of variety and a great schedule. The machines are nice, well-maintained, and most of clear instructions on them so you dont have to be intimidated if youre a gym newbie. The staff is all really nice and helpful and seem to genuinely enjoy working there.

Great equipment, great atmosphere, and great people. The only thing they could improve is adding a sauna. 5 stars for their reply! Love businesses that communicate with their clientele online!

Having been all over the US, I can say that this is one of the better and more affordable gyms I’ve been to. The staff is extremely friendly, the operating hours are good, and there’s plenty of space to get a good workout in regardless of how busy it is

Loved their Ride classes and after their Tour de Crunch last year, all their other group classes. They have great instructors and the hours they offered their classes are great too.

While I like this gym, this is a shameless shout out for personal trainer Lindsay. Professional, non judgemental and assisted me to reach my goals!

Let me start by saying that the equipment and trainers here are wonderful! The issues arise from their front desk personnel. They are very inattentive, and seem to be more worried about talking and joking with one another rather than the needs of customers. Getting their attention to get scanned in, get a massage chair, or get a tanning bed takes more effort from the consumer than they put into doing any of those tasks. They also fail to welcome or say goodbye to people coming or going. Luckily that doesn’t matter to me very much but it may matter to those who read this review. This is the WORST Crunch I have been to so far which is unfortunate because the trainers Seem to work very hard.

The best gym in Lubbock for sure. Its new, clean and the staff is great. They are so friendly and they get to know you. I love the atmosphere. It makes me want to work out harder.

I signed up because its the only gym other than premier that has heavy bags. Bag sounds like a deflated marshmallow when I hit it with this heat. Great equipment otherwise once you finally get to use it after the juiced up bros get done with their 10th set.

There is one trainer that is real rude

I signed the cancellation last July after I realized I didnt have time to commit outside of working and school. I never thought twice about it because I figured they would do their job. I recently found out that I have still been billed monthly all this time. Apparently the cancellation never went into the system???! And I wont be refunded +$120 something despite the fact that I showed emails of me telling a Manger I wanted to cancel last July and that I would come in to sign it off- and the system clearly shows I have not checked in in +230 days. This is outrageous.

Can we have the cross fit class not interrupt everyone elses workout? Have that class in a separate room. Otherwise, I love crunch!! There is plenty of equipment and space. Nice staff.

Today was the 1st day i started at Crunch and i dont think i will be returning. I was rowing about 20 minutes when i was told i had to move because a exercise class was starting and they had stations and rowing was 1 of them. I told her i jus had a knee replacement and Im limited on things i can do and this is what i feel comfortable starting with. There were 3 other ones they could use. She says yes i understand but i dont make the rules. Now i have 30 or more people looking at me. I paid my money for use of the equipment just like they did. When i signed up no one told me that some days and some times your hard working money you paid wont mean as much as someone elses. I was never given a calendar telling me the there are days and hours that there is equipment off limits. The manager just kept saying Im sorry but its policy. If i would have known this was policy i would have never signed up!!

This place is great. The range of equipment really facilitates any fitness style. It does get pretty crowded sometimes which makes it very hot Inside.

In February I was emailed a 2 week free trial. I went to 1 workout and then got sick with the flu and couldnt go anymore. I call after I get better and they were able to give me the 2 weeks free again since I was sick. After that, I knew they were a great company. Staff is friendly and have always been welcoming! I love this gym!

Surprisingly well equipped for the price. They have a lot more variety in there equipment than any other gym in its price range.

This Place is AWESOME! We love having the flexibility of coming at any time. It is very clean as well. Which is a big deal to me. All of the staff treat us like family. The Manager, Matt Gulley, really knows how to treat customers as well. He had us won over the first day we came...Extremely professional and friendly. We Travel a lot and just wish Crunch was everywhere!!

Been coming to this gym since day 1 of opening. Been to alot of gyms all over the US and this one is great. When I first came there were some issues with personnel as far as courtesy and attitude. I offered constructive criticism to the regional Manager while he filled in during the start up. Whether it was training or the change in employees, they are an attentive staff and very professional. Ive seen some of the members they have to deal with and can understand the difficulty of maintaining the positivity 24/7 but they do it anyways. Price is great. Yes the annual fee exists but for 10-30 a month pending your package, its definitely affordable. Trying out there personal training program for a month and will follow up after.

So far just haven’t had a great experience. I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership to try here since my best friend recommended it, and so far I’m really regretting that choice.When I stated I was a new member I didn’t get a tour so I toured the layout myself, I didn’t get details on any classes available or where I can go to look for information regarding that. My friend recommended I do a body scan so I set an appointment for that and after waiting about 20 mins I was told no one was coming in to do it. So wasted my time altogether. I do have high hopes that something here will change my mind, but I guess we’ll have to see.The only reason why I’m even giving two stars is because the front desk girl that checked me in genuinely felt apologetic but other than that, not impressed.

Definitely not a fan as much as I was when I signed up. Equipment upkeep could definitely be better. The paper towels and cleaning sprays always seem to be empty or near. Also while I cant fault the gym for having a lot of clients it just seems like if I dont squeeze my workout in between 11am and 2pm the gym is just packed and its tough to stick to any workout plan I may have because I cant get a bench or get on to certain equipment that I need. If I dont workout within those hours I pretty much have to wait for after 11pm for the gym to calm down a little. I signed on here because it was a convenient nice facility with new equipment. Unfortunately that new car smell is fading and I will probably be looking elsewhere soon.

Gym is what you expect from a gym, but if youre looking for a trainer I highly recommend V. He will make you feel at home and design a workout specific to you. Overall the best experience Ive ever had with a trainer, and he doesnt burn me out. Workouts dont make me . No shirt on in the pool this year! Lol

Enjoyed the gym while I used it, but cancelling my membership has been almost impossible. The manager never responded to my email dated December 16th even after I sent two follow up emails dated Jan 2nd and Jan 4th. Not to mention it took the manager multiple days to respond to my emails in the first place about canceling my contract. I still got charged Jan 6th for the membership. Further, you have to give a 30 day notice that you want to cancel. I also have a friend who had similar problems canceling.

Usually a 5, but today, as crazy as it sounds, their water station was down and staff had no idea when it would be fixed and the male staff was so rude, never apologized and gladly charged us for a water. Really poor customer service and bad attitude. It’s interesting that we get notifications for memberships, but no notifications when you can’t get water in a gym!

The Ride with Nathaniel is the best! His class is intense and he always bring the energy. I have to get there 30 minutes early because his class is always full. He has the best playlists and makes you feel sexy 😜 :)

Not customer friendly. I drove 40 minutes from home to go the 5:30AM spin class “The Ride.” I arrived in parking lot at 5:28 and spent 4 minutes looking for a parking spot. Walked in the front door at 5:32AM. I apologize to the front desk lady about running behind and said “can I still get in “The Ride” class I’m three minutes late” she said “no, they won’t let you in.” Needless to say I canceled my membership and drove the 40 minutes right back home. Awful customer service.

I havent used my membership in a year so i called to cancel and alexis informed me that i can not cancel unless i come in. Im not available to come in so now i have to call my bank and do a stop payment.. thats ridiculous!

I have another membership at a gym and got a crunch membership just for tanning until I seen what they offered and its amazing. I been going to their RIDE classes and I love it.

Was told when I signed up I could cancel anytime I wanted too went in to cancel today and theyre charging me for an extra month because they require a 30 day cancellation notice wish someone would have informed me of this when I signed up.

Will not recommend this gym to anyone. I currently am a member at another gym and was wanting to try this one out since the price is good. I signed up for my free trial and when i showed up to Crunch, parking was very limited and I had to park across the street. Also, the front desk members were VERY unfriendly and didnt give me a tour. I told them I was there for my first free trial and literally the only thing they told me was give me your ID and come get it when youre done. Nothing else was said to me. No tour, no explaining membership options to me or anything. I wasnt a fan of the cardio equipment. The brands of the equipment was foreign to me. I am extremely disappointed in this gym as I was intending on joining. But now I will stay at my current gym and not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a amazing place! I usually don’t take my kids anywhere I work out being I just don’t leave them with anybody! Well I went awhile back to try out the childcare! While I was there I met Tawnie. She was so amazing and so great to talk to. She helped me be able to relax and know that my kids are being well taking care of. She is a amazing asset to this company, and I know when I take my kids back to Crunch childcare, with Tawnie there I have nothing to worry about! Thank you again Tawnie for everything!!
