The gentleman at Computer Parts sold me a power supply and when I got home I couldn’t get it connected right, I called him and he helped me three different times to get it right which he didn’t have to at all. I very much appreciate their service and their excellence to detail. He was friendly and courteous and they have great prices. I will shop with him again.

I went in today concerned about power supply for a very proprietary HP computer due to information from the HP website. They looked at it and offered to check other systems as power supply seemed to be working. Found one RAM stick was the problem and replaced on the spot. Great experience from both gentlemen in the store. Thanks for getting me up and running in less than an hour.

I have enjoyed working with the staff and especially the owner for many, many years. Ive always respected his knowledge and ability to repair anything for a very fair price. Many friends and relatives have also gone to CPU for assistance and all have been very complimentary of his abilities to repair even the toughest of problems and at a reasonable price.

Want to give 0 stars for absolutely terrible customer service. I called looked for some 8GB DDR3 and the guy I spoke to was extremely rude, he told me they sold single sticks for $68, when I repeated it back to him to make sure Id heard correctly, he insulted my hearing. I was in the Army for 4 years and sometimes my hearing isnt the best, but that doesnt mean I should be insulted. Plus that I way overpriced for 1 stick of 8GB DDR3.

Wish I could give zero stars. As a former employee, I can say without a doubt that all of the items in the store are overpriced for the benefit of the owner. Speaking of said owner, whom happens to be a preacher, I noticed in my time working there he was extremely biased towards people of other nationalities, and treated them according to his own agenda. Not to mention providing some of his own personal customers with better, and sometimes free, service than the other customers. Over all, this store is a joke, and so is the manager. A ill-tempered elderly pastor that has no business running a computer repair store.

Pros: They did a wonderful job on a problem I thought it was impossible, and it was a very reasonable price.Cons: It did take 5 days to finish, understandably though. They do have quite a few computers they are working on all the time. All in all I could not be more pleased.

The guy working that day was not friendly at all. He did the ignore him so hell leave thing with me. The product was good, although over priced. But thats what you have to deal with when Lubbock doesnt have a good pc parts store, and you cant wait for shipping.

Hate these guys, typical snooty better than you owners, want you to buy something and get out.

I went in to buy a cpu coolee for my new processor, and this dude applies half a stick of thermal paste on it, and rubs his finger to apply it....Later when I tried to install a new cpu cooler, I couldn’t get the cpu off because of the amount of thermal paste. Doesn’t know the basics, over priced components. My cpu is now broke because when I removed the cpu cooler it brought the fan out of the socket, while it was locked in.

Very nice customer service.However, the staff is not knowledgable on the components of a pc. It would do you good to just do your own research.

I came here to have my wifi antenna replaced in my laptop. The man with the very yappy dog informed me that he would remove my screen, replace the cable, and all would be well...it would just take a day or two. Not only does my computer screen constantly POP OFF every time I open my laptop, but the cable works maybe 90% of the time if Im lucky. I keep having to restart my computer to have Internet access. PLUS it took almost 2 weeks for him to get back to me!! When I called 1 week after dropping it off, I was told my computer was disassembled but was being worked on. I currently have electrical tape holding my screen in place. Please DO NOT GO HERE!

Overall service was good. Ordered a part with a tad bit of difficulty, but was pleased with the part when I received it. Didnt take too long for it to arrive either. Beats ordering things online, which may not always be the best thing.

Had a mechanical problem with my laptops monitor screen that wouldnt allow me to open the laptop without prying the back of the monitor away from the screen. Dropped it off at CPU and they had it fixed much faster than it would have taken to ship the computer back to ASUS and have them fix it, and at a much lower rate no doubt. The price was VERY reasonable considering what computer repair shops might try to charge. Highly recommend, staff seemed very knowledgeable, at least give them a try.

I recently called into Computer Parts USA in order to see if they had any good quality thermal paste for a project that Im working on. I was greeted on the phone by a man with a thick, Jeff Foxworthy like, accent. I asked the man if he had any Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste or anything like it. He replied, in his heavy redneck drawl, that they had 5% silver thermal paste. I asked him if he had the thermal conductivity of the paste handy and he replied with Eh, I aint messin with that and immediately hung up on me.Needless to say I was very disappointed in his response. He simple could have said that he didnt but instead, he lost a customer. His unprofessionalism and rudeness is why people turn to online for their shopping. This mans attitude is exactly the reason why brick-and-mortar stores are slowly dying, and if this is the kind of customer service that you get when you try to go to a local business, then good riddance.

Great place with friendly staff I built a gaming computer for a friend and plan on going back for upgrades for mine.

It use to be the best place to go in lubbock for computer parts and prices. Now the shop is less than half the size and prices are not always the best.

Went there looking for a VGA-to-USB adapter, the teenage customer service representative was absolutely no help. In fact, he took it upon to pass judgement on why anyone would need such a device. Not his call to make, he should have been more concerned with helping the customer than passing judgement!

Asked several people if they carried laptop fuses. A common 2 amp 32volt smd fuse and they didnt even know what I was talking about!? I hope they dont repair computers there if they dont even know what a surface mount fuse is lol. These guys are a joke.

They are open from 10-12 on Saturday. Not 10-4 like the website says. Would have went there 30 minutes earlier if I had known. Instead, I had to buy my parts elsewhere.
