Very knowledgeable shop. Answered all my watch questions.
Theyre the best...and by far VERY reasonable.
Ive had 3 different watches repaired by THE WATCH SHOP, all repairs were great! I was told prior to the repairs, EXACTLY the cost of the repairs! Great job by THE WATCH SHOP!Thank you!! Philip Ball
Called this business to see if they had an inventory of watches for sale, the man behind the phone said no in a way and tone which seemed like he expected me to know this already. The website they have specifically says, and I quote We sell many brand name watches, do not hesitate to give us a call.. Both poor and misleading advertising.Edit on 09/16/2021: The website has since been changed and it looks to have had an emphasis that they only repair watches, not sell them added to it. Dislike the way the call was handled, but changing my review to 4/5 for the fact that they changed the website.
I wanted to have a case mod done on my Hamilton automatic. Barry was very responsive via email and quoted me a very reasonable price (much less than the other quote I got from a jewelry store) and had the work done in the timeframe described. Great work done as promised. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return for future watch needs.
Kinda pricey, but good work.
Everything went perfect in and out as usual for two watch batteries. But I did notice all his displays were empty in lieu of recent events uptown.
Average shop, nothing special. Offered thinner spring pins than the ones needing replacement. As a watch specialist he should know that those would not support the band. Agree with the other post. He sells watches youd expect to see at a thrift store. Getter better inventory and be more friendly.
They did a very good job to replace the batteries and clean the watch for a reasonable price. Very few watch shops are able to replace batteries for the type of watch I have. All the stores in enquired during past quoted me high rates, but this watch shop did it for a reasonable price. Very good service and I would always recommend this store to someone else
So my trusty watch falls off while I am attempting to save the world. Nobody can save the world without their trusty watch. So I check the interwebs quick like and find the watch shop. Ten minutes later, not only did they replace the pin that fell out, they also replaced several more that could have kept me from saving the world in the future. The world still exist because of these folks, so thank them with your business.
Although I live on the East coast, I have used the Watch Shop to replace batteries in scuba-diving watches and re-pressure seal them to 200m of water resistance. They have done this for some 20-year old watches that the manufacturer no longer supported. From what I know, they are one of the few watch shops in the country to correctly service dive watches.
Very professional staff, I got there about 30 minutes before closing. They resized my watch in about 10 minutes and the watch fits great. They have some jewelry for sale if you like necklaces, rings and other watches. If I could give one recommendation to improve, it would be to find a way to advertise your store more from the street. I drove by it and nearly walked by it when I saw your doors.
Specialize in watch repair. They do fantastic work.
Sized several watch bands for me. Always extremely fast service, hours are very good as well for a watch shop.
The owner Mr. baker is an amazing watch man, He can fix any watch you give him. I have had a couple of Rolex watches repaired by him, and Tags.. He is honest, efficient and fair with his services.. A go to place for all your watch needs ..
Great service and professional.I get a kick out of these reviews. People dont understand anything about watches and automatically assume they should be able to shower, swim, etc with their watches. Even the best dive watches need to have their seals maintained otherwise they will leak. Dont assume it is waterproof, pay to have them test it. Its as simple as that. Once that is done you are good, for a little while. Every Time you set the time or open the watch their could be something that compromises the seal and then its not waterproof. It would help if everyone would take the time to read the manual. Just saying...
Wonderful service, great price, fast work. Went to get my battery changed, the man filled in a screw that had been lost, cleaned it up, and set the date and time with exact precision. Great detail, highly recommended
I came in to have a new fossil watch battery installed. They replaced the battery in about 5 minutes and was $15. Totally worth the stop and incredibly quick service!
So far Ive taken quite a few vintage watches to Barry at The Watch Shop for service or restoration. Everything from an old Bulova winder to a super rare Gallet 12H as well as Omegas, TAG and others. Barry is an absolutely meticulous craftsman. Every watch Ive had serviced at the watch shop has come back in excellent/like new running condition. If you need a restoration, Barry can find you original parts like he did for me with a crystal for a very old Omega. Be patient with them. Its not a fast food restaurant. Barry and his staff are craftsmen. What youll get in return though is the best master watch service in the area. If you appreciate fine watches, you probably already know that Louisville is lucky to have this guy.
Needed links removed from watch. $8 bucks to have it done, fair. The gentleman there wasnt super personable or polite, but he did do the work quickly and correctly. I would return for a repair if needed, but the selection of watches in the 2 show cases seemed lacking.
Went in to get a bracelet adjustment on my Omega Speedmaster Pro. The employee was friendly and performed the adjustment for free. They also seemed knowledgeable when I asked them about servicing another vintage Omega. Will definitely return!
Walked in around noon with a watch with a new battery but still wasnt working properly (a failed trip to Walmart to replace the battery brought me here). He looked at it for 2 minutes and said it just needed cleaning on the battery contact. Handed me back my watch, set the the correct time, and didnt charge me a thing! This is customer service at its best! Thank you!!!
Really fast and friendly customer service.Fixed my watch for way less than the manufacturer wanted.
I enjoyed Mr. Bakers fast service. I walked straight in around noon and handed him my watch, said I needed a battery replacement. He asked if I went swimming with it(no) and then started tinkering. I should have thanked him more for his service, but there were other customers waiting. So I will do it here. Thank you, so much. He took less than 10-minutes and even took the time to adjust the date and time on my Swiss Precimax. I apologize for my rudeness, but here is another 5-stars!!
Fast. Affordable. Knowledgeable.
Everything you would need in a watch shop
I took my Traser mil-spec watch to them to fix a broken crystal. The first time I get it back, there is dirt left underneath the crystal. He takes it back and fixes it. The second time I get it, I take a shower with the watch. The next day there is water condensation under the crystal. I take it to him and nicely ask him to rectify the situation. He tells me that it is my fault because I took a shower in a watch that is issued to military and is Swiss Made. I tell him that I have had it for over a year and taken it swimming hundreds of times with no problems until he repaired the crystal.Followup: I changed my rating to 3 stars because he put a larger crystal in my watch and told me to be careful about swimming in it, so he made it right and I appreciate that.
Super lovely and über fast service. Looks after posh watches too. No problem to fix my Tag Heure watch.Highly recommended.
Walked in and out in under 3 minutes and was charged $3. Super impressed.
Good for quick repairs
They replaced the band on one watch, took 3 links out of another and replaced the battery for under $50. It took a total of 10 minutes. Will definitely come here from now on
Walked in to ask assistance with getting the back of a watch put in after replacing battery. The gentleman was assisting another customer and kindly told me hed be with me shortly. In the meantime, this angry lady asked me what I wanted then was very accusatory and rude when I told her why I was there. Thankfully, the gentleman, who looks as if he runs the place, came and redirected her away, took my watch, and fixed it in seconds free of charge. If the gentleman is reading this: it may benefit your business to have this grouch working somewhere in the back, well away from customers.
Excellent service
Fix my watch battery very quickly and was reasonably priced.
Professional, fast, friendly & fair
Great service. .
