Poor Ethics, lying to carriers and wasting our time.Booked a load with them and after booking Broker Nick Johnson, kept telling me product is not ready. When we called shipper, they advised product is sitting ready, good to go. Later on shipper confirmed load was picked up by another carrier.Nick double booked this load, lied to us that product isnt ready, and then probably found a cheaper rate.Do not book loads with them or you will end up wasting time, just like we did, setting up carrier packet and having drivers to wait.No TONU was provided, we are also reporting them to DAT.
Bad Experience $$$$$. 200 miles before our destination to Mebane NC they change the destination to China Grove, NC for product Inspection 90 miles from our Delivery Destination . All product was unloaded and inspected. Product did not meet Walmart Standards therefore driver was told inspecting receiver was going to unload and keep all the product. Broker told our driver he was subject to stay on site and wait Tuesday evening to the following day for product to be repackage on Wednesday and re-delivery appointment had to be reschedule for Some time Thursday evening . Broker was only willing to pay 300.00 for re-routing/detention of 3 days and re-delivery. We were penalized $500.00 for not completing the load according to Greg Cordle First Call Logistics Standards :(.
This company is horrible. We had accepted a load the day before .1 hour before the driver was suppose to load they called and said it was cancelled the night before. This was not the case one of our dispatchers had called to verify pickup. He just found someone cheaper and felt it was easier to lie then be honest. Will not be doing business with this company ever.
We booked a load from OH to Lebanon, IN. The load had an 8am appointment time for Friday morning. Our driver arrived for the delivery on time and was told the load was scheduled for 4pm and due to a full schedule, could not be taken any earlier. We attempted to find a local warehouse to have the load taken off so we didnt lose our backhaul, but were unable to find one. Broker said to make sure and put the in and out times on the bills and he would take care of us. Sat the entire day with no revenue, didnt get empty until 5pm, lost backhaul, and had to deadhead the truck back to our yard 250 miles. The broker requested detention from the customer who had the load scheduled for 4pm. Needless to say, $150 was approved. Never again
Rude people. When calling to discuss a short pay issue, the lady was rude and hung up on me. We will NOT do business with these people again. Short paid us for not answering the phone when we were sleeping after driving at night and unloading early morning. But I guess drivers shouldnt sleep. They dont care that sleeper berth means OFF DUTY! They also told us they can change the rate on the rate con whenever they want to and do not need to notify us. They are crooks!!! I would recommend NOT booking a load with these people. They need to learn some professionalism. Hanging up on people is high school behavior. Grow up First Call Log.
Refused to pay detention claiming it was not approved. Ask about their detention pay policy before you call.
Too bad we cannot give them a 0 star rating. Hung up on me, refused to pay detention, and expected calls at 11:30 pm. We will not haul from them again.
I would give no stars if that was an option, but I have to give at least 1 to leave a review.I had the experience of dealing with Neal, who I was told was the owner (not sure if thats true or not). He was absolutely AWFUL! He yelled at me, told me I was trying to scam him, and then hung up on me. I felt he was very unprofessional and it definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. I will avoid doing business with First Call Logistics due to this experience.I will say that David and Chris were very friendly and I feel bad that they are working for someone like Neal. Good luck
Dispatch thinks they know more about driving a truck than the drivers do
A+ Company
