Bout a $600 weed eat last June or July within a month it stop working, about a month ago it stop working again not even having it a year and they wouldn’t replace it saying it’s water inside but it was kept in my garage all winter. It’s seems like the last few years they’ve service has started to suck

I purchased a new mover from this shop about two years ago. But the mover can not start for the first time this spring. So I brought it to this shop for repair since it is still within warranty period. They finally found it had blocked jet and they cleaned the gas-fusion system. Anyway it works again. However, they did not call me and ask me for permission for further repair (service) with the quotation of the price. When I went back to pick up my machine. They told me this kind of repair (service) can not be covered by warranty and I have to pay about $95. Actually this kind of new mover just worth $300. One minor service charge almost $100 seems pretty high. Anyway I feel very disappoint they did not let me know the charge of the repair and let me make the decision before they do it.

I stopped by there today because I had been there to purchase some farm equipment for a family member as a gift so suspected they might be able to assist me with a low tire. I was also in search of a lawn tractor. The staff was so accommodating with my low tire I knew it would be the perfect place to purchase a mower. While they did not have exactly what I wanted this time- I shall return! Wonderful customer service! Thanks!
I usually dont like to leave any negative feed back but I hope this is for the better! so they can improve their customer service. They need someone with much better customer service and customer appreciation, in front desk. if someone spended near 6k at my business I would make him feel appreciated if I see him again at the shop! not oh man hes back again because his mower needs service that he just bought, which should of never happened in first place!. but what do I know, there door is still open...
Drove all the way from St. Louis to buy a salt spreader from them. Glad I made the trip, it was worth it. Friendly knowledgeable staff. They went the extra mile to make sure I got my monies worth!!
Ill start off by saying that I love taking care of my yard and I appreciate high quality, well-built equipment in doing so. After being a Brownings loyal customer for 2.5 years by making significant purchases for my lawn equipment Im sad to say that I will never show my face there again. I had been searching online for a specific attachment for my zero turn mower. I decided to go into Brownings to see if they had one and they did. I made the purchase and after a few days I realized that it may have been a little too advanced for my needs. I went to return it and I noticed they were withholding 25% as a restocking fee. I asked them to waive it as the product was unopened. They refused, saying that the restocking fee (which amounted to $55) was necessary to keep them in business. I cant begin to explain how disturbed I was. I then asked them if they were willing to risk my future business and they continued to feed me a jet stream of absurdities. What they didnt know was that I wouldve been in there the next week or two to buy a $600 telescoping chainsaw. Im seriously at a loss here, thought I was doing a good thing by shopping local but, apparently Ive become a victim of my own good intentions and their outrageous restocking fee (which apparently keeps the company afloat). I own a couple companies myself and I must say that I would never pull this maneuver on one of my clients.
Purchased a Toro Super Recycler Lawn Mower in 2012 - great mower. I changed residences where a landscape company takes care of my yard. So the mower has been sitting for 5 years. I decided to get it tuned up to probably sell it. Took it back to Browning for maintenance and told them it had been sitting for 5 years. When work was done, picked it up and took it home and the mower would not start. A few days later I purchased a battery because the battery was not checked. The gas was not cleaned out, the oil was not replaced, the blades were not sharpened, the spark plug was not changed. Terrible service, they have lost something and dont think they much care. For $115 carb was cleaned and 2 filters replaced - expensive for a machine that does not run. Their word is no good, they did not do what I asked them to do; they did the least amount possible.
Great selection of items to buy. Had something serviced and they did it in a reasonable amount of time. Can’t ask for much more.
Found the best price in the area on the mower I was looking for here. Saw good reviews online for them. The staff was friendly did what they said and the transaction was fast and smooth. I would definitely recommend Browning Equipment.
This family owned local buisness has earned a life long customer!Buying my first Zero-turn mower from Browning was the best decision I made. The first thing that stands out with this business is their incredible customer service. No matter how many dumb questions I had or how many times I asked them, they took the time and made sure I understood everything. I had been to practically every mower shop in town and their prices were by far the lowest. Not only do I recommend this company to my friends but my family as well, I have no doubt theyd be taken care of properly.

Great place with friendly people who care about the customer. I definitely recommend saving the time traveling across town and stop in on River Road.I cracked the block on my Scag walk behind. Spoke with the owner of Brownings and he went above and beyond to help me resolve my situation. He does not carry Scag equipment, but can order anything I need and do the service as well. This leads me to him checking into ordering a new engine for me and giving me a couple of different manufacturers to choose.I have told many people about Brownings and will continue to do so.
These guys took great care of my mower and fixed it for me with little cost. They also explained exactly what was wrong with it so I could keep the same thing from happening again. Russ is the man!
Do NOT do internet orders with this company. I ordered a $250 wheelbarrow from this company with “free shipping” according to their website. Several days went buy and I kept checking my email for a shipping notification. I needed this wheelbarrow for a scheduled project and wanted to make sure it arrived in time. I eventually had to place a call to Browning Equipment to get a hold of a customer service rep that couldn’t find my information in the system. The order number in the purchase email didn’t even seem to help. He said he would have to call me back. Well, hours went buy and no call. I had to call back.Now I get a different guy and explained things all over again. After being put on hold for a while, he eventually tells me the website has an error and shipping is $55. Frustrated, but very calm, I asked why is it that I had to prompt this inquiry and why wasn’t I contacted about this immediately? I explained I am on a time sensitive deadline and what would have happened if I didn’t call to enquire? After all, it is not my fault their site is wrong. After several minutes I suggested that we split the $55 shipping. I eat half and they eat the other half for their wrong website along with all the hassle on the phone and lost days thinking the product was coming to me. The guy said he would talk to his boss and call me back. I agreed and said I needed an answer today because I am on a project deadline. Well guess what? No call back. No professional curtesy or customer service. I get a blow off email they can’t full fill my order and will refund me my money (still haven’t got that and wonder how long that will take). Funny thing is if they would have called back and said they couldn’t offer shipping assistance I was prepared to pay the $55 anyway. Very poor customer service for online buyers and small mom and pop shops shouldn’t try and play with the internet big boys and stick to local walk in traffic.
What happened? Did this place change ownership, or management.This used to be a great place.Today, the guys working the floor could not have been more rude and/or knowledge light.Glad we have other places around Louisville to buy Stihl...They lost me forever...Too bad for them as I just purchased a new home and am doing a major gathering of Stihl equipment.
I went in on a Saturday afternoon 30 min before closing time. I was afraid they would be grumpy but I could not have been treated better.I bought a mower and they delivered it that evening. Turns out I was dealing with the owner!He took the time to go over operation and made certain I was satisfied with the mower before he left.I highly recommend this business
Browning Equipment saved my day. I was about to mow my yard when I realized my front tire was flat on my riding mower. I took it in to Browning expecting to have to wait a day or two, but they had a new tire in stock and mounted within 15 minutes.Although they carry Toro and Snapper mowers, they seem to stock a lot of parts for other makes as I own a different brand. They also had some great deals on RedMax blowers. Ill definitely be back.

Where we get most of our equipment, even a trailer. You can rent stuff from them now too. Anytime we have a problem with anything they handle it.
Does not service Poulan chainsaws even though Poulan has them as an authorized repair shop on their website
