Dr Norton is a gem. I just marathoned through four root canals and did not have one moment of anxiety or pain during any of the procedures. Dr Norton assured I was numb, wrapped in a blanket and kept me occupied with great music and conversations. I was so relaxed I sometimes fell asleep. I trust him explicitly as he does meticulous work. Love his assistants and office staff, so welcoming and fun. Amazing endodontist and I would never consider going elsewhere.

Truly loved the experience. I have had previous root canals that were pain free but this one was pain free and entertaining. The staff is awesome and makes you feel like family with them. I would highly recommend Scott Norton. I will even ad that he worked me in last minute when I was in severe pain.

Dr. Norton and his staff are truly concerned about the patient’s welfare. I had a cracked right upper molar root causing me great pain. It took awhile to diagnose. The crack wasn’t visible to other dentists so I went to Dr. Norton. The crack was diagnosed by Dr. Norton within minutes. He took a 3-D cat scan and showed me the crack. He said even though he is all about saving teeth, he recommended extraction because a root canal would fail in my case. He does not do extractions as he is solely an endodontist, so he recommended other places to go for the tooth extraction. He is truly concerned for the patient’s welfare. He is also meticulous about diagnosing a difficult problem. As the other reviews state, he treated me really well and the staff made me feel at home.

I have had many root canals unfortunately. My experience with Dr Norton and staff has been by far the Best! From the moment I walked in till the moment I left they had everything to put me at ease. Dr Norton is entertaining too. Helps with the nerves. Im even going back for another in couple of weeks.

My experience with Dr . Norton was fabulous. Who knew that you could enjoy a root canal? The office was clean and quiet. The equipment was state of the art. People who say, “any experience is better than a root canal” have obviously never had a root canal by Dr. Norton. I’ve had spa days that were worse experiences than my root canal.

Amid an interstate move, one of my molars cracked. Once in place in Louisville, I turned to the internet for an endodontist, having been told in Virginia that I needed a root canal. I was lucky enough to find Dr. Norton’s office. Everyone there was professional and kind, and they gave me an appointment for the next morning! Even though the tooth will have to be extracted, Dr. Norton and his staff took the time to carefully review my situation and referred me to a dentist who they trust. I would recommend Dr. Norton to everyone who asks.

I was referred to Dr. Norton because of an emergency I was having with one of my teeth. This office and staff were efficient, very friendly and it was a comfort having them take care of me. Although he could not perform the procedure I had come to him for, because the tooth upon further examination had cracked and needed to be pulled, he made sure I was pain-free when I left his office via shots of numbing. I totally appreciated that because it was excruciating!

Whoever would have thought getting a root canal would be a good experience? I had a really sick tooth and Dr Norton, Cherie, Stephanie and Kim were all extremely kind and compassionate to me. I had the first of 2 (possibly 3) root canals from Dr Scott Norton who has the gentlest touch and a very caring and infectious sense of humor. He is highly respected with numerous citations adorning his office.  From the first instance when I called his office, I was greeted by staff members who treated me like a person and not a number. When do you ever learn every name in someone’s office these days? When you go to Dr. Norton‘s office and meet his kind staff. They are way too efficient and got me in within 24 hours for a consult and xrays (cones) and did my root canal the following Monday (yesterday) and the second one later this week. I was hoping they didn’t have an opening for as long as possible because I hate having anything done in my mouth, but they fit me in almost immediately because of complications. I highly recommend him if you need an endodontist. (Yesterday was my 6th root canal so I am no stranger to endodontists or dentists.)

Excellent experience! I had a root canal treatment today. Dr. Norton, is very professional . He explained all the plans throughly: before the procedure and each and every step while doing the treatment course. I had a very slight pain at the start of local anesthetic injection, after that, the procedure went smoothly. I had the same experience few years ago ( different tooth concern), a reason why I decided to come back to him . The staff are all very nice, they explained to me the cost of the procedure, and how much exactly that I need to pay and no other additional cost after that . Of note : this is the only Endo/dentist clinic, who had returned the excess payment I paid (check) few years back. The staff also are courteous and polite, they explained each step they do and with their help, I felt so at ease with the whole treatment. I highly recommend Dr Norton and his staff without reservation!

If you need a root canal Dr.Norton is THE specialist you should work with. Ive explained this procedure countless times to patients over the 23 years that Ive been a dental hygienist, but 2 weeks ago I had to get a root canal. I only have one filling ( #humblebrag!), but unfortunately that molar started to hurt when chewing & an xray revealed a crack in the tooth. We have referred patients to Dr.Norton for years & years and they always come back saying how great he was, how kind & friendly his staff is & how lovely his office is. Most people say the procedure wasnt nearly as traumatic and horrible as its said to be. Well, now i can personally confirm each of these great reports!! Dr.Norton could not be friendlier!! He is fun & funny, yet extremely professional. He explained each step of procedure. There were no surprise movements, which put me at ease. I was nervous! All of the understanding in the world about the procedure goes out the window when You are patient, not just the person explaining it. He uses the latest technology...CT imaging to examine the health of the tooth & to ensure the root isnt fractured, plus he is looking through a microscope while performing the root canal. You get to see the images when youre finished!! Very cool, especially for a dental nerd like me!His assistant Cherie is so sweet! She will put you at ease. Shes friendly and easy to talk to. She & Dr.Norton work together like peas & carrots! Stephanie at the front desk is super kind &friendly, scheduled the procedure & explained the payment process. Kim is super friendly also!The office is beautiful, Very Clean, & of course all precautions are taken to prevent the spread of the corona virus.If you havent had a root canal in all honesty just be prepared for a 2 hour procedure. You are just in the chair, they are doing all of the work. They arent kidding when they tell you that you will be numb for the rest of the day! #Truth...better to be numb than to feel it. You Will Not feel pain during the procedure! Even the anesthetic injections arent too bad because they put a topical numbing gel on prior to the injection. Dr.Norton checks on you each step to be sure you are not feeling anything. If you follow their post-procedure instructions you will do fine. I recommend them highly!! 5 stars is too few!! I have been to Dr Nortons on multiple occasions and am always so appreciative for the top-shelf service I receive. He is a gifted endodontist with a bedside manner above reproach. This time I was more nervous than usual due to the state of my painful infection. Dr. Norton skillfully and gingerly managed my trepidation and the more complicated retreatment process and Sherry complemented him perfectly. I have referred family and friends to him because I believe he is a master of his craft. While I genuinely hope I never need his services again, I can say with great certainty that I will never go to any other endodontist as long as he is still practicing.

I was referred to Dr. Nortons office from my dentist upon the suspicion that I may need a root canal. As many if us do, I have high anxiety when it comes to going to any form of dentist, sooo hearing root canal did not make me feel the best. Upon arrival the office was clean and it was clear they had taken numerous safeguards to ensure safety. I was immediately taken back for x-rays (which I was told ahead of time about the cost, so no shock there and I appreciate so much). The nurse, whose name I cannot remember (maybe Ceecee) because again I was just trying not to run out of the office screaming, (again me not them) was amazing. She took very good care and time to explain everything and calm my nerves. Dr Norton comes in and is kinna like a rock star in the best of ways, and proceeds to do a number of professional exams and details a treatment plan, but In my head I heard yea you got some bad bad but no big deal we are going to fix you right up, and even better we can do it right now. All in all I was in an out in 2 hours total I believe. For an emergency root canal I would say amazing. Since leaving the office I had to contact Dr Norton twice on his cell phone due to a reaction I was having to one of the antibiotics. A couple of things to note here...who gives out their cell phone??? I mean and responded very quickly both times with clear direction? I am totally blown away by this practice. Everyone is just so committed to the highest level of care. I cannot say I am ever going to be excited to go to the dentist. However, knowing there is such a great group who are 100% looking out for your best interests...well it definitely makes it so much better.

I chipped a my molar on a Saturday, saw my dentist on Monday. They referred me to a completely different Endodontist. I have really awful anxiety when it comes to the dentist and not having control over whats happening in my mouth. So I called the original Endodontist they scheduled me with to ask if they had anything to help with that, to which they replied “not at this time”. So I decided to look for my own Endodontist who offered sedation and came across Dr. Norton. I called them that same afternoon and they had me come in within minutes of the call for a consultation. As soon as I got there I was greeted by the lady at the front desk who was sweet, patient, charming, and all around happy to be of help. After getting my paperwork filled out I got to meet his assistant and Dr. Norton himself...... oh my God. The whole consultation was like having lunch with all my friends. They were so welcoming, comforting and reassuring. I actually had FUN and was more than thrilled with my decision to go with them. He also took extra time to show me my 3D scans and explain everything to me clearly and concisely. I left feeling very secure and safe with the hands I was in. They were able to get me schedule for my root canal appointment 3 days later. I showed up and again they bent over backwards to make sure I felt safe and secure. Because of them, the fears I’ve had about dentistry have taken a backseat. I truly wish I could make them my regular dentist! Highly recommend Dr. Norton and his amazing team of women. My tooth looks great and the procedure was painless.

My family and I flew into Cincinnati on a very early flight. My 12 year old son had a tooth injury a few months ago and flying had made it excruciating. After driving from Cincinnati to Louisville we were able find an emergency dentist who referred us to Dr. Norton. Our appointment was at 3. When Dr. Norton examined my son and realized that he needed a root canal he kindly stayed late to do the procedure knowing that he had been through so much already that day. The staff was amazingly kind and friendly. Dr. Norton was exceptional with my son, making it as least traumatic as possible. The office was clean and comfortable. I feel that we got the best care possible by every member of the staffThank you for saving our vacation! My son now wants to move from Boston, Ma to Louisville so he can have Dr. Norton for a dentist.

Being in so much pain, Dr. Norton was excellent, with the updated technology Dr. Norton is fantastic, I had a root canal years ago but with todays technology it was a wonderful experience this time. Dr. Norton is very caring and meticulous about doing everything to help you. If ever in a need of a root canal he is the right man. So dont let that pain last too long, get into him right away. His staff is very caring and making sure all the way you know what to expect. It was an awesome experience than the root canal I had years ago. I highly recommend Dr. Norton
