Highly recommend!! I got a jacked up fade the day before (at vip barber don’t go there) and went to mike to see what he could do to fix it. He gave me recommendations on how to fix it/style it and did a fantastic job turning a bad haircut into a fresh fade. He is a very skilled barber and is killer with fades

I wish I could recommend this place, but I cant. While its super convenient and has a traditional vibe, the quality is VERY uneven. I never knew who was going to cut my hair or what result I was going to get. Maybe they have a turn-over problem. I hope theyve fixed it.I want dependability in a barbershop. Couldnt get it here.

Nice haircut..however, was not happy with COVID precautions. People in the place wearing no masks, and the man cutting my hair had a mask on, but not over his nose. Was so upset I had to get a COVID test afterward.

By far the best in town! Only at Woodys Barber shop have I ever experienced such a level of detail. Yeah, youll spend 45 minutes to an hours in one of their chairs. Theyll use straight razors to clean up your wonky hair lines and spend more time then what seems logical or profitable for them. I would say, Its as if they are striving for perfection. But they got perfection down to an art form. Ive been to plenty other places in town and I learned how sheep feel being sheered. Its Baaaadd! You wont find that at Woodys Barber Shop. Best haircut (and shave), from Drew W., Ive ever had - friendly barbers, cool down-to-earth neighborhood barbershop feel. Wife of 12 years said its the best haircut Ive ever had. I drove over an hour to go to Woodys and it was absolutely worth it and I will gladly do it again. Ive definitely paid more for much less. If it isnt apparent, I would recommend Woodys to anyone in town or from the area.

I didnt know what I wanted. I was gonna go with my normal cut but he convinced me to go bold and he hooked me up! I got crazy confidence because of him and thats why Im leaving a review. This review of 3 Star is strictly for walk-ins. If you have appointment I imagine it is 5 stars . I went there 1 time and the haircut was great. I have been back 3 times since, and waited an hour each time. Nobody greets you, tells you how long the wait will be, and they only have 1 or 2 barbers taking walk ins. Highly recommend getting an appointment, because if you don’t you will end up wasting an hour of your time with no hair cut.

A Few weeks back I had just finished up doing some work in the library at mid city mall, and I wanted to head out for a haircut. There were a few different options of places to go. Woodys is the only one I had not gone to. With my wedding coming up in 7 months I wanted to be able to find a place that would take care of my hair every couple weeks and let it grow out until I am ready to style it for the big day. I have been so happy with every experience from the first day. The barbers are friendly, its very laid back and its a nice place to hang out if there is a wait... Listen, every shop is different, every barber is. Dont stress, just fins one you like being at. I love Woodys, its great for me... I definitely feel the individuality and its a Louisville original. It has personality without being too crazy... Check it out

Ive been to a few of the best barbers in Louisville, but this shop has more then a few if not all very good/great barbers. Andrew Wortham is the barber I go to though and is top notch with the clippers and versatile with whatever you need style-wise.

It was the best haircut I’ve ever had hands down. My barber, Dalton, was incredibly friendly and meticulous. I highly recommended this to anyone looking for a great haircut at a fair price. I surely will never go anywhere else again.

Went into this barbershop with high expectations. I saw a lot of good reviews and also was recommended by some friends. The haircut I got though was terrible. The guy had absolutely no idea what he was doing, (he advised me he was a truck driver just a month ago) also he was begging people to cut. He was cutting my hair for an hour and half. Worst haircut ever. I asked for a fade and I have a long line going across my head. I told him the haircut was garbage and I didn’t have anymore time to wait to fix it because he obviously didn’t know how to fix it and I’ve already been there for 1 hour and half. He still had the audacity to charge me 5$ extra. Even though their sign clearly says 20$ for haircut and I even called to confirm. On top of all this, this was the first time I ever got a haircut at a barbershop and they didn’t clean me up with alcohol. Overall worst barbershop experience I had. I wouldn’t have even written this review if he didn’t have the audacity to charge me extra for a haircut and wasted have my Friday.

Been coming here for about 2 years now. I use Will typically and hes definitely my go to but Ive got cuts from a lot of the guys and everyone up there does solid work. Wouldnt go anywhere else.

You cant rush qualityGot my hair cut here today because my regular barber had an A/C issue that caused them to shut down for the day. Woodbys has barbers who take their time on you and do it right. I waited for a while but I was able to scope out other peoples haircuts so I could decide who I wanted to cut mine. Turns out everyone did an outstanding job on the clients they were working on. Ultimately it didnt matter which guy cut my hair, they were all talented at their craft. You cant go wrong coming to Woodys.

First time going to Woodys today and it was really the best place I’ve been. Had josh cut my hair, he has before at a different barber shop and of course he did a 10/10 job. The atmosphere is dope here, definitely gonna keep coming.

I would highly recommend against going here. I was forced to choose this barber shop over my regular shop when I was in a pinch to get a hair cut before Thanksgiving. Not only did it not look like I had received a hair cut (poorly trimmed side burns, edges over my ears and neck line. The barber managed to nick my ear as he called it. There was actually a small chunk of my ear missing, it is still sore and healing... They also took a chunk of hair off on the back of my head near my neck line. I went back to get my money on four separate occasions. Each time I was told we can fix it for you, Yeah youre not touching my hair again. I said. The manager said the particular barber that cut my hair would have to give my money back (he was busy one time, and away the other.) Then when I finally spoke with my butcher and he told me that they had a 24 hour return policy, he couldnt explain why this wasnt mention in prior conversations with the manager. Once I went back at a time specified by the manager and they were closed. I finally figured I wasnt getting my money back and gave up. Do your self a favor and try another barber shop if you dont have one.

Woodys Barber Shop is the best place to get a great hair cut. I have been going to Woodys for years now and my hair is cut just the way I want it to be every single time. I used to live in Cincinnati, Ohio and whenever I needed a haircut I would drive all the way back to Louisville just to go to Woodys. Great barber! Great Atmosphere! Great Haircuts!

Absolutely amazing service ! I went there a couple days ago and it was cleaner than my own home lol! The people there were so friendly that I felt like they were family. The prices were also reasonable and the hair cut I got was worth way more than what I had to pay but I’m not complaining haha ! I definitely would go again, ten out of ten a great experience .

I wanted to give Woody’s a try since they opened next to Bdubs where I work.Let me tell you now, do yourself a favor and book yourself an appointment with Wayne and NEVER look back. The entire staff is skilled beyond belief, exceptionally personable, and just overall amazing dudes.Wayne got me lookin so fresh that I got two dates with two different people within 30 minutes of getting my cut. Ive been going to Woodys Barber Shop for a few years now. Brian is the man when it comes to getting your hair cut. He takes his time hes in no rush. Honestly I dont trust anyone else with my hair after having gone to Brians shop.The atmosphere of the shop is very relaxed and is welcoming to anyone there will always be something to talk about when you enter.

Best barber shop in town, period. The atmosphere is always laid-back and if theres a sports game on, its on the TVs. Prices here cant be beat for the level of service and expertise you get. Brain the owner is extremely friendly and knows how to cut some serious hair. The rest of his staff are also very accommodating and friendly. The shop is always clean and when there is a wait, its never very long. Dont bother with places like Derby City and Market St. Barbers... they will schedule you an appointment sometime next century, produce a so-so haircut, and charge you way too much for a sub par experience. Be smart, get your hair done like a pro at Woodys.

Woodys barbers were all very welcoming, knowledgeable, and seem to be precise! I was welcomed with some enjoyable music and a mellow atmosphere, that coupled with some comfortable seats to rest my bum made the wait worth the cut!!!

I went to Woodys once a couple of years ago thanks to a friend of mine and now I will never go anywhere else. So much has changed since I first walked in, but a few things have remained the same: a great atmosphere, friendly people, reasonable prices, great music, and incredibly talented barbers (especially Anthony)!

Without a doubt the worst haircut Ive ever received in my ENTIRE life.I told the barber, very specifically - I want to shorten my hair and clean it up. I dont want to mess with it a lot in the morning, but under no circumstances do I want a buzz cut anywhere.So take a guess what I got?The sides of my hair are less than 1/4 inch long.The front is all kinds of screwed up, with the length being anywhere from less than an inch to two inches long. It looks like a terrible miniature feauhawk.Its so short all I can do is put a hat on all day long. I was so angry when I looked in the mirror I couldve spit nails.I still am in complete disbelief that I paid for it. I should have flipped out on him and walked out, but I was in absolute shock.The entire time I was there all they talked about was drugs. How every person in there apparently had some kind of drug charge pending. Obviously, I picked a real winner of a barbershop.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Unless you want a buzzcut with a fade...which apparently is the only thing these guys know how to do.I came in asking for a business crewcut, I walked out with quote high and tight I didnt ask for and most certainly didnt want.Oh - and to top it all off - I came to Woodys because they publicly advertised a straight razor shave. Not only was I never offered that shave, when I saw what my hair looked like, I wouldnt have accepted the offer if my life depended on it.
