Anna was my stylist. She was very professional and did an amazing job. I told her what I wanted and it came out perfectly. I asked for an eyebrow waxing after and she helped me out. Very pleased and will be back again for her great service!

Saw this place over the weekend and thought to myself I should try something different and take better care of myself. Scheduled an appointment for 6:45pm today to get my feet taken care of. As requested, showed up 10 mins early and called to check in. Nobody answered the phone so went inside to confirm my arrival. Was told to wait in my car. 30 minutes of waiting in my car and 20 minutes after my appointment time, nothing. I call in to check status and come to find out theres still at least another 10 minutes of waiting left. Cancelled my appointment. I get it, we are all very busy but at least have the courtesy to call and let me know youre previous appointment arrived late or youre running late. You would expect the same from your customer. With drive time, wasted an hour of my time today. I do not recommend and do not plan on returning.

Not cheap place to go, but all of the girls do a great job on any service. They have a lot of experience, great conversation, and very good neck and shoulder massage, along with good scalp wash massage. All of the women there are gorgeous, always a plus

The service was timely. I called when I arrived 10 minutes early; they called back in a few minutes to invite me in. The salon looked clean and everyone was wearing a mask. I received a freshly laundered cape and Vanessa proceeded to give me a haircut. I could not be more pleased with the results.

I was a first time visitor and Anna gave me the best haircut Ive ever received from anyone. She was precise, she took her time, and was a great conversationalist. I got a cut and scalp treatment, and I couldve practically fallen asleep with the hot towel at the end. Dont waste your time with a cheap haircut at a barbershop rushing people out the door, go here it is so worth it!

I cannot say enough about 18/8 Fine Men’s. Being a firefighter, at the local base, my schedule varies. The receptionist was able to get me in that same day. Upon my arrival I was greeted with a warm welcome by Morgan and asked if I would like a complementary. I said sure, thinking it may be coffee or water but to my surprise 18/8 gives their clients a choice of BEERS too, that was a treat. As I drank my beer I was able to catch up on sports with ESPN playing in the lobby. Within minutes my stylist Vanessa introduced herself and walked be to the back where I was able to hang up my coat and put on a silk robe before sitting in the chair. I choose to get the Executive Cut which included 2 washes, and a five minute scalp, neck, and shoulder massage. Vanessa took her time listening to what I wanted and did not make me feel rushed, I appreciated that. Afterwards I grabbed my coat and she personally walked me back up front to check out. As I was checking out Morgan let me know that she had applied a military discount to my service. Talk about the WOW factor, a complimentary beer, a cut, and now I received a military discount?!To the owner of this salon “I appreciate you understanding that men also like to take pride in their appearance, and giving us a place where we can get just that. Great experience today!Today, I was having brunch next door and while waiting, walked in to check out services. Kelly, the personable lady in front, was very pleasing to speak with. She efficiently ran through all the products and services that they offered. I inquired about a haircut the same day and she got me scheduled quickly. She also explained the new customer discount which was perfect!Fast forward two hours, and I walk in again to be greeted by Kelly who offered me a drink of choice, including a cold beer, as part of the haircut “experience.” Two minutes later walks out “Mo”, a young lady who greeted me with a nice strong handshake. (Nice sign for the soon to come neck massage!) Then she gave me the quick tour, and had me to change into a robe (not to be mistaken with a massage robe where going commando would be appropriate), and then sat me in her station.Mo was very easy to speak with and worked quickly but with great precision. She started with a neck massage, then cut my hair asking plenty of questions along the way, and then finished up with a hot towel and shampoo/conditioning before styling my hair. The whole event took 45 minutes or less but felt and looked great!Checkout was easy and there was good product explanation but no pressure to buy. I did get a conditioner that she used - we’ll see how it goes. Kelly explained an awesome return policy which made me feel good about the purchase. She scheduled me for a touch up and I was on my way. Overall, great first impression!

Clean and kind, but its more of a show than it is a good haircut in any way. Went to 2 different hair dressers, neither was worth the price or any better than a supercuts or equivalent. Fancy robes and decorating doesnt mean good haircuts.

Can’t say how it compares to other places since this is the first place I tried after moving here a few weeks ago, but I went today and won’t be going anywhere else. Got a great cut and all the works and was still in and out in under an hour. Atmosphere was wonderful. Staff was awesome (Morgan was my stylist and she’s wonderful). Couldn’t ask for more and couldn’t recommend this place enough.

So I walked in today, greeted by Hannah. I asked if walk-ins were accepted. She informed me that they were, but that there werent any open spots until after 1pm. She then went on to tell me Patrick, whos the only black guy here, is the only one that can cut your hair. No one else here can cut ethnic hair. Did ou want to make an appointment with him? Or! I have a barber friend whos Dominican, and he has a shop down the street. He can definitely get you together. Tell him Hannah sent you! She never once had asked me, nor had I told her what service i wanted. I was just looking for a hot shave.I wont state the obvious problem I had with this interaction, but I will NEVER return, nor overwhelm Patrick with work by encouraging any of my ethnic haired people to visit.

If your ethnic be prepared to wait a long time and or go to another salon completely. They have one stylist who specializes in ethnic hair and thats it. My husband went and waited over an hour after his appointment time and asked what the hold up was. The receptionist stated that there is only one stylist there who cuts ethnic hair and hes a black dude. Which is fine but I dont understand how some white chick cant ethnic hair. Guess they dont want to work on ethnic clients if they dont have to.

I booked the appointment twice and both the times there is no stylist available. So they want me rebook for a different day and they let me know that exactly 15 minutes before the appointment. I am not sure if it’s there website issue or something else but completely dissatisfied with the service offered.

Got me in late on on a Saturday. Took cues from my former Philadelphia hairdressers pics and did a fantastic job. On the other side of the city from me, but Ill be back!

My sons worst haircut EVER. the hairdresser was inexperienced (had to be). I didnt see the haircut until she was done and it was patchy and there was no difference between the top and the sides. it was just horrible. and they charged me 25$ even after I told her how bad it looked, she said it just looks patchy because of the hair that fell in between ABSOLUTELY NOT. see his picture under the photos tab. green shirt. fade (or whatever that is he walked out with)

My Husband just got back from there today and let me just say this place is amazing! He has now been there 3 times and he has gotten 3 haircuts, a beard trim, and now a straight shave. Everytime he has been with a different stylist/barber and honestly every cut has been perfect! He has seen Shelby, Vanessa, and Josh all 3 are so great at what they do. Thank you guys for keeping my husband cleaned up.

Both my son and husband love the salon. It is a perfect guys space. My son gets a soft drink and pretzels, and my husband gets a beer. The hot towels and masculine atmosphere make them right at home!

I had a confirmed appointment & after waiting for 30 mins was told that the stylist wouldnt be in ! The manager/ owner offered no alternatives ! What a royal waste of time !

First haircut experience was great, overall - good cut. Second was not. My biggest pet peeve with the place is the extreme pushiness of the stylists to get you to buy memberships, products and services. Memberships are a risky investment in the haircut business, especially when the haircut is inconsistent. Sales secret - identify the customers needs and make it easy for them to get what want. Pushing a product or membership without doing that first will push them out the door. I wont be back.

Shave was great but $67 is way to high. In Lansing MI it is $25 and in Denver CO is $50. So why please explain the cost.

Super expensive.

Purchased a Groupon for my son as a x-mas gift. When he was leaving, he had with him a screenshot of the Groupon that clearly exhibited the Groupon number for redemption (this is an acceptable proof of purchase at ALL other businesses) but they would not redeem it for him and charged him $39 for his haircut. He is a struggling college student and to him this was an extravagant purchase. He is shy and was embarrassed and so he paid them without calling me first. I called the salon and was given the owners #. They of course dialed her before I did and told her that he presented nothing to them, which is untrue. She did not like the fact that I had to raise my voice to talk over her when she was denying this and only offering for him to use the Groupon another time (!?!?) Finally she agreed to take it off his card if I came to the salon. Which ended up being totally unnecessary as they didn’t even need the card when I arrived. The staff members were EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful when I arrived a half hour later to have my sons card reimbursed. A stylist from the back who had no part in any of this issue stood at the counter and argued and smirked the entire time even after I asked him to stop. The girl at the desk who was talking to the owner on the phone was smirking and whispering and just unbelievably rude. This is no way to run a business. Yes, I was not happy and was going present my point of view. I’ve used Groupons for years and never had any kind of issue with a business refusing to redeem when presented with the Groupon purchase number. In fact, an hour before, he had redeemed two other Groupon gifts the same way with no issues whatsoever. The screenshot contains the buyers name, the date of expiration, the price paid and the Groupon purchase #. All the info you need. The ‘gentleman’ for lack of a better word said it would be ‘ridiculous’ to redeem a Groupon without at least having it printed on a piece of paper. That they needed to click “redeem” in the app. Excuse me, how do you “click” a piece of paper? The screenshot had the same info on it that a piece of paper would. You only need the # to enter into your computer. I doubt that Meineke Car Care Ctr that redeemed an hour earlier using a screenshot would call themselves ridiculous. These people need to learn how to respect and treat their customers. Horrible people skills. It comes from the top down. If the owner will not admit fault or offer apology, the staff doesn’t learn to, either.The haircut? No difference in this overpriced cut vs a $5 Great Clips cut, and at least at Great Clips you don’t encounter rude, disrespectful staff.I’m sure the owner will offer a rebuttal, as she tends to attack the reviewers who give a one star review (I would give less if I could) so go ahead, Jennifer, do your thing.Update: I just spoke with the manager at Meineke and these were his exact words : “ almost all of my customers come in with a screenshot of their Groupon. I simply enter the Groupon purchase # in my computer and it pulls right up. No problem. I hardly ever have someone come in with a printout of their Groupon. It simply isnt needed.”Ya think??!? Ridiculous my butt, young man.*as expected, you shifted all the blame and twisted facts. I was not rude to your staff on the initial call. Stated the problem and asked for your phone number. There was never a swear word and I HAD to talk over you to even get a word in edgewise. And YES she did see the number, she admitted that much. No one ever said that my sons experience was bad until he was personally embarrassed upon checking out, hearing her say she could not accept the screenshot. He felt uncomfortable because he had just used one and there was no problem so he didn’t know what to do. Luckily he had enough money in his account.And generally speaking, there has to be an audience to make a “scene” so that is laughable. Not a soul in the waiting room and it was your male employee that wouldn’t quit running his mouth. So nice try there. It was just the 3 of us and he would not shut up.

The staff at 18th/8 are very professional and truly give you a great hair cutting experience geared towards men. I recommend them to everyone looking for a great stylist/hair place, because they are the best!

First hair cut stylist talked to other stylist the whole time about meeting up with her boyfriend and rushed my cut. Rushed out the door as soon as I got out of the chair. Staff is very unprofessional. Was told they didnt have time for gray blending. The sign outside says walkins welcome but was told “we are more by appointment”. And it would be over a hour when there was only one person inside getting a cut. Been here three different times and will not be giving anymore chances.

Vanessa is the best stylist around Louisville. Been coming here for almost a year and no plans on leaving anytime soon. 5/5

Zero stars. I didnt even ask before you told me my friend didnt come in. He has business cards, a second free haircut card, and even pictures of him there. I dont need, ask, or care about the price of a cut. Maybe stop with the groupings and l free or duscount deals. Charge 40 and keep your customers. You lost a grand a year forever in one phone call.
