Disgusting business practices! They use the pandemic to keep your car over the weekend or another day to charge you more money by making you jump through all these hoops because they cannot have customer contact even though there is a vaccine and masks and its been a freaking year and a half now! They close earlier than banks and dont have weekend hours at all. And then when you get there the lady doesnt even wear a mask and does have customer contact!

My daughters car was towed here, the lady at the front desk harassed her about her hair color, wanting to see her Facebook. Antagonized her about who she truly was. All while Having proof of insurance, registration and an ID. What a joke!! Please don’t use this company. SICK!

Troy’s illegally removed my legally parked vehicle from a public road at the request of a spiteful neighbor. No questions asked, they just came and got it. I thought my vehicle had been stolen, so I deleted it and have been looking for it for 2 weeks. Insurance was about to pay on my claim when I found out Troy’s had been in possession of my vehicle the whole time. I’ve been without my vehicle for two weeks, and the only paperwork Troy’s would produce was an invoice for $465. My battery was dead when they finally released it to me, and they declined to help with the jump. My only legal recourse is to take them to small claims court.Mrs. Becky at the window does her job well and kindly offered me cold water while I waited for roadside assistance to arrive.

I would give them a zero if it was a option. They wrongfully towed my car on Friday when I called Friday to get it they said I would have to wait until Monday. 3:00 Monday after I emailed them all the paperwork they tell me I have to come back tomorrow too pick up my vehicle. They said they needed time to get the vehicle ready to be picked up. They have kept it 3 days now. How is this legal?

Just bought $1200 in converters for my sisters truck. Ordered a tow at 1 pm. They picked it up in South Louisville right after dark. I had business on same road that evening. Tow driver had truck cabled halfway up for 20 or 30 minutes at dusk. I thought why is taking driveshaft out with flat bed? Inspected truck next morning at shop. Driveshaft had not been loosened obvious by rusty fasteners. Pre and main cats were all missing. There was no time at dusk for anyone else to be around the truck. I checked the truck just before dusk and converters were there. I had stopped at it to make sure key was in its hiding place. I know who got her converters and cost my family $1200....The guy who had the truck suspended for 30 minutes when he could have just loaded it in 5. I sat and watched him roll in and out from under truck several times. I also think the tow was assigned much earlier but delayed till just at dark on purpose. Tow company did not respond to my personal requests concerning the delay from 1 pm till 9 pm nor yhe missing converters.

Troys wrongfully towed a vehicle from a lot (where it was allowed to be) after receiving a call from another party located nearby. contact information for the vehicle was clearly available and not once were we contacted when the vehicle was picked up. Once we were informed of the vehicle being gone, troys wouldnt even allow us to get in the glove box to grab the registration to show proof of ownership. They now want over $700 for the car that they didnt even have the proper authority to take possession of.Beware of using this company.

Strange. They are very Insistent you have an appointment. So much so they wouldnt come to in tiny window on the Side of the building. The tiny window that they due business through. It was stressful enough haven just wreaked my car, then to jump through hoops just to get my things out of it. 3 stars because ONE of the ladies there were super helpful and nice.

I junked my van. I needed the paperwork (receipt) stating that I did. They had it ready for me when I arrived. Remember not to turn your title in, you must turn it in to the DMV so you wont have to pay taxes on a vehicle youve junked because its still in your name until you do so. 😊

Rude staff. Week Day hours only. They have Local police contract so your SOL if they have your car over the weekend. No access. 1 Star because you cant do zero.

I have a small RV that I needed moved and called Troy’s they were on time and Brent was friendly and professional we will absolutely use them again!

Now first off I realize that most people who get there cars towed for illegally parking are going to try to blame it on someone else but my car really was parked legally. I got my car towed from The Park at Hurstbourne Apartment Complex. On the towing receipt the address it was towed from was in the same complex but it was probably 600 yards away from where I parked on a entirely different street. They said I was parked in a fire lane but there wasnt one within 600 yards of the spot I had parked in. Secondly they towed me on on a Saturday morning, and charged by the day for impoundment but I couldnt pick up till 9am Monday morning. Thirdly they didnt notify the LMPD as they are required to do by city law, so I would know where to find my vehicle. If you run into this problem call the LMPD department of Codes and Regulations and supposedly you will be refunded by the towing place once your complaint processes. All in all the staff was hard to reach unpleasant to speak too, and rude.

I have old cars, so I have used Troys multiple times. Roadside assistance through my insurance provider and customer pay, they have always been courteous and prompt. In the single case that the tow was delayed, they politely kept me informed. The best part is my cars were always handled with care. Thank you.

The driver they sent out named Brian was the most professional and polite person Ive ever dealt with in a tow truck. I will definitely use Troys Wrecker Service again.

I really recommend troys, I had a flat tire that was done for and I couldn’t get it off I had got off work at 1am and it had just became thanksgiving at 12 and I called my dad to see if he could help me put my spare on so he came and tried to help and he couldn’t get it off so we called and called multiple places one place wanted $200 to just put a spare on!! About 3:40 am so I had called troys and they got there in a good time and charged $50 and it took less then 15 minutes Nate was such a help

Waited almost 4 hours for a truck to get there. Lady on the phone said she would have a driver clocking in at 8 PM. This was on Saturday. The guy showed up promptly at 8:30 PM. The drivers name was Brian and was super nice and very professional. I will use Troys again as long as I can ask for him.

Troys has never let me down. I have had a vehicle that has had several issues over the past 3 years (very unlucky) and broke down several times throughout Bullitt County and beyond. Even after hitting a deer way out on 71, Troys was very dependable and got there faster than any other service. They always take exceptional care of my vehicles and get them to my preferred repair shop super fast. Will always only choose Troys!

Hired my husband let him train with them then his car broke down the next day he politely asked for a day as we were getting a new car but unfortunately he was told to seek employment else where. They have no humanity and or sympathy, he told me about how careless they handle the cars and how rude they are about the customers behind their back and how rude the employees talk about the owner. And to top it off they are trying to give him the run around about picking up his check which is under 100$ as a human being my conscience and being a good standing citizen will not allow me to use this service and strongly suggest with choosing another tow company

This company deserves zero stars!!! I called yesterday at 9 am to pick my car up from my house. The car would not start and I needed to get it tolled. My insurance company recommended them because Troys will bill them rather than the customer.. I called through out the day and was told emergencies come first. I was told at 2 pm that the wrecker was 5 miles away. I called back at 330 and was told that the wrecker was sent to a police call and I could be put back on the list again. HORRIBLE customer service as well as wrecker service. I contacted another service this morning and the service was awesome. You guys need to change your recording. Its very deceiving

Troys done a great job with my car! Nate has no problem getting it out of the ditch and kept it in one piece and didn’t get his boots wet!!! First 3 tow company’s wouldn’t even attempt trying to get it and one didn’t wanna get his shoes dirty or wet (rescue ranger) Call Troys for any kind of tow or rescue that you need, they are great.

Troys Wrecker Service has failed me two times.First a few years ago during a cold snap where the temperature was below zero for several days, I was parked on the second level of a parking garage and my car wouldnt start. My State Farm contracts with Troys for roadside assistance. When I called Troys, I explained that my car was in a parking garage, that a smaller tow truck was required and gave the ceiling height. Three days and six tow trucks later, I ended up pushing my car out onto the street and a friend called AAA. for me. Each driver was very rude and did not offer to call the office to explain they couldnt help and to send a smaller truck to help.Second, I was leaving a friends house on a Sunday morning after a 6 AM workout class and my battery was dead. When I called Troys, the receptionist said that they didnt have a driver come on the clock until 10 AM. So, much for 24-hour service. I asked to be put on the list for a driver to come out and in the meantime, Id try to jump it myself. At 10 AM, I called back to see where I was on the list, the receptionist said that she didnt put me on the list and now there were a bunch of people in front of me. I re-explained that I till needed help. She said that shed call me back a few minutes later with a drivers ETA. Troys must be really busy because it is now Wednesday and I still havent gotten a call back with an ETA. Thankfully, I was able to get the car started myself.Im not one to leave reviews but Troys has failed me two times now. Call someone else if you need roadside assistance.

Myself and my family have used Troys for years. I have used several tow truck companies Louisville, but none have matched the standards set by Troys. Their staff and drivers have always been very professional. The drivers take their time to make sure that my vehicle is properly secured before transporting it.I have read other reviews that complain about having to wait. Every time that I have used Troys, the times that were quoted were highly accurate.I also read a review that stated that their tow trucks werent up to standard. I can tell you from experience that they have the nicest trucks in Louisville. I wont name names, but there are other companies in town that could stand a few lessons from Troys.I happily recommend Troys Wrecker Service to anyone that needs a tow.

My car slid into a ditch at the end of my drive. Called dispatch, very courteous and tow was there promptly. Driver had my car out in about 5 minutes. Very happy!

This business has an agreement with our State Farm agent to bill them directly for towing claims at a discounted rate of $60. My mother called to request towing service. They confirmed her coverage with the agents office and told her it was taken care of to be billed to the agent and sent a truck. The driver told her she had to pay $75 for the tow. She explained that her policy covered it and that Troys bills them directly which had already been confirmed. He towed it to Big O. Mom found out her car needed major repairs and she needed to tow it elsewhere. Big O told her they werent charging her for the estimate, but that Troys had given them a bill for her towing and she had to pay $75 to Troys before they can release her car. She had to call Troys again to straighten it out. The person who answered said they dont know anything about how it works. They told her that no one can help her until Monday, so her car is staying at Big O until then. We will be filing a complaint with Troys, our State Farm agent, Better Business Bureau, and Big O on Monday. Save yourself a huge headache and call any towing service other than Troys.

Very quick service at 3am on a Saturday morning broke down on the Gene Snyder. Tow truck showed up in less than 30 minutes. He was very professional, efficient, and treated the car well. Excellent job.

I am not pleased with the wrecker service at all they were very very unprofessional the ladys answering the phone need to be trained the right way and writing documentation is down to pass on to the next person so everyone stays on track they were supposed to have came and got my car Thursday morning and then they told me well the police needed us and whenever the police needs us they go ahead of everybody else so then Thursday morning turned into Friday morning Friday morning turn into Saturday morning they only came and got my car Saturday morning because I wanted to speak with the owner of the company and he said that he would have someone down to take care of the car at 9 in the morning very unprofessional and I should not have even had to go to the extent as I did to get my car towed away this place f****** sucks balls

Towed my car at 5:30am because my sticker said my tags were expired but if they would have looked it up like they’re supyto they would have known my tags were not expired, anyone can peel a sticker off. Then when we called at first they said they didn’t have my car so I called the cops and they said they had it so we called again and then they suddenly realized they did have it. William the truck driver was rude on the phone, the owner said he would call my dad and never did, so I called them and William yelled at me and said we didn’t need to speak to the owner and that it would do no good and he wouldn’t speak to us. Went to pick up my car and the fees were $140 for storage and no key fee because they took it in the middle of the night and without the keys it’s harder to steal. They took it on Sunday at 5:30am and we’re about to not give it to us until Monday because they said they don’t work on Sundays to give people their cars back. And if we had picked it up on Monday it would have been another $30. I do not recommend. Their business is very sketchy and disrespectful.

I got my car towed from a parking lot. When I called to ask if they had it the guy at night said that I could come pick it up in the morning. I called back to ask about what documents I needed and he repeated that I could pick it up in the morning. I get there this morning and the lady leaving said I would need to have called to make an appointment for today to pick it up. So after I was lied to 2 times to begin with I continued to call after I left and the girl who answers the phone says they for release cars regardless of appointment on sundays. So now lie #3. Im not upset with them for towing my car thats what they job is. Im highly pissed that I was lied to. That is an unethical way to run a business.

Ok I understood then I called aback at 11 a.m to see whats the wait time will be then the lady told me they had 50 pick ups she dont know when they will get to me so then I called back at 2pm now she telling me they dont have a flat bed they looking for one due to the fact I had a flat tire long story short they inconvenienced the hell out of my day

Pulling up to my house at 11 PM was unacceptable and rude. Not only to my husband and myself but to my neighbors also. Who I got calls from the only reason I got out of bed asking why there was a tow truck in front of my house. Completely completely unacceptable.

I got my camaro stuck in ditch. The damage didnt appeard to be that bad. It took Troys wrecker service an hour and a half to get my camaro out. The tow truck driver completly destroyed my camaro getting it out of the ditch. Now my car is totaled becuase of this place.

Worst service ever!!! constantly lied to...waited 5 hours for tow truck to arrive, Recommended by State Farm. Was told they were waiting for a flat bed to come back because the flat bed was loading a really large car and it was taking longer to do that??? What a line bullshit! Flat bed never came, regular wrecker showed up, took 10 minutes to pull my sons car out of the ditch, charged him $175! State Farm was pay that, not my son.....This company is awful...they get a minus 5 stars...DO NOT USE THEM EVER!!!!!!

Bad experience someone put stickers on my van and I didnt see it and then you know I heard this little beep beep beep outside my window went running down the steps and this dude getting ready to toll my van off but I had insurance on it it was parked in the grass they were supposed to paved driveway behind my apartment for a week and it never got done so they put a sticker on my car saying I was parked illegally tolled it off the lot. I went to get van said I couldnt get my stuff out of the van unless I signed title. Which wasnt in the vehicle Gave my key to them and paid 200.00. Got my key back. Never again

I wish we could give them a zero. I was visiting a friend and we were out shopping when we got a call that my car was randomly being towed. After rushing back to the house and then calling the repo place for vehicles, we learned that the guy driving the truck did not do his job and check the VIN number or license plate. The KIA they were looking for was parked in the garage next door. The woman had passed away, and the guy who bought her house found the KIA in the garage and called to have it hauled off. The owner Troy, kept telling his guy driving the truck to just bring my car in! 😡😡 While I was on the phone with the repo company we learned their had been a major lack of communication and clearly no double checking. This wasnt even my place of residence. The address they were given was the one next door and the man raised his garage door when he realized the towing company was outside. It was at this point, that the driver finally took my car off the truck and said that Kia, Honda, etc have sensors and the signals were crossing because my Kia was parked so close to the one they really wanted in the neighbors garage. This is why you dont go by signal and check vin number and license plate. The repo company also told me they were looking for a 2013 Kia and I own a 2016 and was parked at my friends house next door to the address they were provided by the bank/repo company. I have never been so embarrassed and received no apology from the driver or owner of the company. This whole situation was absolutely ridiculous and you need to train your employees to check their facts.

My friends car was illegally towed from my apartment complex. She was parked in the Guest Parking (labeled with a giant G), then was towed bc they thought it was a handicap spot. This is impossible as the handicap spots at my complex have no paint, but metal posts in front of each spot thats littered throughout the lot.Not only that, the guest parking is so far away from any of the buildings that making it a handicap spot would be asinine. Let it be known that these people obviously dont know the difference between a wheelchair and the letter G.

We have used Troys for years at our various apartment communities. Troys has always been prompt, and fair. We highly recommend Troys to anyone for any reason!

I called in the morning to schedule to have a vehicle towed from my residence to a mechanic. The young lady who assisted me in setting up the appointment was friendly, articulate, and helpful. She was wonderful. I set up my appointment for 6:00 p.m.At 7:30 p.m., no one had shown up yet, and my family was due to meet another group for dinner at 8:00 p.m. When I called to check the status of the driver, the man who answered the phone rudely let me know that, and this is verbatim, we (Troys) dont just have trucks sitting around waiting until six to pick up my car. Extraordinarily unprofessional.When the tow truck driver finally showed at a little after 8:00 p.m., in a service truck that had one break light out. He let me know that he was aware, but that it was such a pain to have fixed, he was waiting until he took some time off before getting that done.Due to the tardiness, lack of professionalism/outright rudeness, and the fact that their truck was not up to standard, I was dissatisfied and would not recommend them to anyone else.

Seriously incompetent service. It has been nothing but hassle dealing with this-- trying to get the car released. Finally, when it was released, they took it to the wrong place. They charge an arm and a leg to do nothing of use. I will never deal with Troys again.

A major nightmare working with this company. Took a whole day just to get all the necessary paper work to them just to pick up the car. They quoted me one price and then when I sent our driver to go pick it up, they charged us more. Will never do business with again.

Hate it there all crooks they steal parts off peoples cars, and batteries, cut off the catalytic converters tow stolen cars from Jefferson County to there lot in Shepherdsville. Basically hold peoples cars for ransom, extremely dishonest they do not auction cars its been there they do whatever they want with them !!!

Absolutely amazing, I was broke down on the side of the road with a bent rim, and one of their guys, in his spare time, stopped to help me replace my tire and then gave me a really good deal when it was time for me to have my car fixed. If I ever need anything for my car they are the first people I will call.

What a money racket I got pulled over for no insurance the cops had it towed I get it but I got my insurance reinstated but now they tell me that I have to take and go to the court house and show them proof of insurance but dont tell me this until after the court house is closed so now they are going to charge me bb $30 more a day on the weekend so now its cost me $320 to get my car out Im in the wrong business S.M.F.H. what joke

I live in Ohio I I left my car at my daughters complex in case she had car problems in Kentucky..Her apartments complexSaid it was an abandoned car it runs all four tires are at license plates are valid But she hasn’t had to drive it but is there in case she needs it. I am now all over $1000..It’s not new but I do own this vehicle..From the comments I’ve read (A Class Action Lawsuit) may be in order....This is illegal on so many levels..I tried to come to Kentucky to pick up my vehicle 2-3 weeks ago but I needed to email my title registration license and proof of insurance ..I tried but it failed several times..finally got thru I hope..and I am waiting on a appointment while the impound fees accumulate...$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Unfair work tactics!!
