Cleanest junkyard Ive been to; no trudging through mud to get to the car you need. Golf cart rentals too. Bring your own tools and you are good to go! Awesome place not to mention cars dont rust here so you can always find good parts. I know Im asking too much but I wish they had more jeeps to pull parts from. Prices could be cheaper as well.

Too expensive here they think their parts are made of gold. Other local u pick yards cost way less and are much friendlier. They would only get one star for me except for they have the largest you pick yard in Louisville that alone earns the extra two stars stars in my opinion if you can find it at one of the other you pick yards go there dont give this place much of your money unless its something that nobody else has corporate greed is what makes this place tick

Pull a part is always the top choice of you pull yards. Clean level not full of holes water and mud like the other yards the other side of the tracks. (Havent been to besslers yet). We drove to this place since we were in town for a convention to get a small part for our Prius. We arrived at 5:05 and was told even though they close at 5:30 they close the yard at 5:00 and will not let us in after letting a guy in that was in front of us. We explained we’re not from here, explained the piece that was needed, and questioned why they let the guy in that was in front of us and not us. The guy was very rude, didn’t give an explanation, and even with us telling him we’re not from here he kept telling us to come back tomorrow.

Pull-A-Part is anti-2A. They have no signs posted outside stating weapons cant come inside concealed or otherwise. They have one sign when youre already 30 ft inside the building that says no firearms allowed that does not reference Kentucky statute. I dont mind following a businesss request to not be armed, but when I get inside and you tell me in front of a bunch of people that I cant have my gun in the property I have a problem with that. It doesnt make me very comfortable having to leave it in my vehicle at that point. Its concealed for a reason nobodys supposed to know you have it on you.

I was thinking about going out to this yard until I found out about the entrance fee and part prices. When you add the entrance fee, part charges, fee etc, these used parts off a junk car would cost 1/2 the cost of brand new! And that doesn’t include the big IF the parts are even there and in good condition (waste of entrance fee) and driving there + my labor for removing said parts. Hardly seems worth it, especially if appearance of the part is a concern. I’ll just order new parts or go to a free yard in the least. At least that way I’m not wasting money, just my time. This $2 fee is to keep undesirable people from hanging out on the lot? Really? How about $20? If you guys are really concerned about lookilos or vagrants out on the lot, I would gladly give you a $20 refundable yard deposit. I think that’s fair to keep undesirables out. I’m just not going to pay a fee to roll the dice on finding a part. That’s crazy. I think the fee is a cash grab, plain and simple.

I’ve waited all day for a toll truck to pick up a truck I was donating to. Habitat For Humanity I was told they would come in between 8 AM and 5 PM it is now 7:45pm and I have not seen them or heard from them and I’ve put two or three calls in and they keep telling me they’re going to be there on their way and the person is going to give me a 30 minutes out. 😐😕 not happyHi this is Tina, I was given an 8am to 5:pm time of pick up. I waited 121/2 hours and no one showed up to haul the truck I was donating. This was my whole day off. I finally get a call around 8:45pm asking if they could do the haul on Sunday. I figured the guy was tried and over worked and under paid. So I agreed. 2:00 pm was decided on. I ask the guy to call and confirm the 2 o’clock appointment at 1:30. No call at 1:30 I called him he said it would be more like 2:30. So finally I’m there and wanted to remove gas from truck. He was rude and said he didn’t have time for that. It would have taken 20minutes at the longest. I waited 121/2 hours the day before. They didn’t call till after 8:30 pm . And he would not give me a chance to pull some of the 50 dollars of gas out of the tank that had been put into tank the day the truck broke down. I’m also going to give a review on this business web page. I didn’t get mad or frustrated at this guy when he called me to schedule the pick up the next day. Which I believe most people probably would’ve been crossed with him, but I figured the poor guy probably had been slammed with business all day and I gave him grace. I waited over 12 1/2 hours and not one person called me to inform me that it was going to be that long I called two or three times before 5 o’clock and they kept telling me he’ll be there, he’ll give you a call. I just want to let Habitat For Humanity know how I was treated donating a car. And I’m definitely going to be spreading the word about this incident. TinaYou should have all my information to reach out to me. Driver has information.

For the second Saturday in a row, I have wasted an entire day waiting for a scheduled pickup. Last Saturday I waited until 2:30 pm before calling the dispatch. The dispatcher called me back a short time later to inform me that the hauler was having vehicle problems and wouldnt be able to pick up my vehicle. How long did this hauler know his vehicle had issues and why wasnt this communicated to the company and then to me. This Saturday again I waited.I called earlier in the morning to verify that I was on the schedule to have my vehicle picked up and was assured that I was. At 2:30 pm I called to inquire as to the status of my scheduled pickup. After being put on a brief hold I was informed by dispatch that they werent able to contact the hauler, but did contact the haulers manager, who was going to contact the hauler and me. Well its now 3pm still no contact from anyone. will not continue to sit around wasting my time. This is not how you run a business. anyway, not waiting any longer.Update- so at 4:36 pm i receive a voice mail informing me that the hauler overbooked his pickups so therefore wouldnt be picking up my vehicle. Thanks for nothing.

Terrible place to go.Employees are rude and slow.Pull-a-part is also supposed to drain and recycle all fluids in every car that enters the lot, but they dont. Any time I have removed a hose I have 100% of the time seen oil, antifreeze, freon, brake fluid, and other hazardous chemicals come spraying out. Saw a guy try to remove a radiator once and he got antifreeze in his eyes, so it is not only an environment factor but a huge safety factor as well. This place can be cheaper than most places at times, but it comes at a cost. Sometimes it is better to have a professional do the job even if it does cost more.

Well I wasnt very happy with my experience with this facility. The phone system was covered by others. When I went there they told me they had 4 vehicles that I was looking for a part there. They could not tell me if they had the part. I kind of understood that since parts are being constantly pulled from the place, although I dont think it would be that hard to set a software program to show the part had been removed. They did print out a sheet showing me the locations of the vehicles. I went to enter the facility and they asked for 2 dollars. I was like what, I need to pay to go see if you have the part I am looking for, They said yes we charge a fee to enter the facility. Another individual told me they could put me on a VIP program and I could get in free this time and I would only have to pay a dollar the next time. I went ahead and signed up for the VIP program. The 4 rows that supposedly had the vehicle I was looking for did not have the vehicle in question, I was eventually able to track down one vehicle 2 rows over but it did not have the part I needed.I know that it has to be tough to run a salvage yard but I think they should at least have a good grasp of what vehicles they have, especially if they are going to charge admission. I would have really been mad if I payed to enter thinking there was four vehicles to look over and there was only one.

This is an organized operation. Yard is organized and clean with plenty of crushed stone, computer database lets you print off vehicle locations in the yard (a huge plus), and layout of the yard is very nice. There is some info online for vehicles that enter the yard but a simple photo would go a long way too. Prices can be relatively high for trim and interior bits but prices for big mechanical items are excellent. I work for a living so going here M-F 8am-5pm is out of the question but the 8-5 Saturday & Sunday hours are crucial for folks like me. Just wish that summer hours were a bit longer. Even by an hour would make a huge difference (since its light well beyond 5pm). Overall, very happy with Pull-a-Part but really wish there was one in the eastern part of the state closer to me!

Although the rest of the car was in excellent shape for its age, my cars motor was damaged so we agreed to sell to Pull-A-Part. The car was at the mechanics, so not convenient for meeting the tow and the mechanics wanted it off their lot. By 10:30am we made arrangements with Pull-A-Part for same day pick up. They do pick ups from 11 to 5pm and you are not given a specific time- they call you 45 minutes before they arrive. My wife spent her whole afternoon chained to her desk because you cannot miss the call. No call and no tow. At 5:40 I called customer service and they basically said oops, well do it tomorrow between 2 and 5 pm. At 11:45 (which, as you can see, isnt between 2 and 5 pm) the tow driver called my wife, so she went to meet him. At 1:05 he still had not arrived. I called customer service again and they called the driver and learned that he had just arrived. Were sorry for the inconvenience, alright in the least apologetic tone was all the rep could muster. The process of selling was easy, so that was good. The price I got was quite a bit less than I expected, but I was in a rush to unload it. The thing that killed my experience and this review was the awful customer service.
