Such a great time capsule of a place. Full service gas with a smile and courtesy like no other. Its a few pennies more a gallon, but to make sure that your tires are checked and that your oil is topped off, its a bargain. The cherry on top is how nice everyone is. Definitely a great place to stop

Customer Service is alive and well when you visit Pruitts Automotive. It is like they wrote the book on it. They are fast, courteous, VERY fair on their pricing. I thought I needed new tires, but they insured me they were in good shape. The service team made me feel special...a rarity in the retail market today. My father and grandfather were loyal customers. Pruitts’ came highly recommended from families at the school where I teach. They have put new tires on my car and routine oil changes. For someone who knows nothing about cars, I have never once felt taken advantage of or felt that I was being over charged. This is the only place I take my vehicle for any type of service/maintenance. Every technician I’ve encountered is honest and helpful! I also love that when the weather changes and the air pressure in my tires get messed up, I can stop by on my way to work and they will take care of it.

Rocky is great. Took my car here right after I bought it to get an inspection done. Was hoping that they wouldn’t say a bunch of things were wrong with it that actually weren’t. He was super honest & said there was only one thing wrong with it, which I could tell when I was driving it. I’m extremely happy he didn’t try to get more money by saying more was wrong with it. Great shop!

I ran out of gas down the street. I walked in and asked if they had a gas can I could borrow to take gas to my car. They were more than happy to help me and they even drove me to my car, filled my car up and when I came back to fill up the rest of my tank, the kind man filled it for me. Great people and I was very appreciative that day!

Just went to fill up gas there today (my first time) coz the sign said its 2.29 a gallon, pulled in, workers came running to ask what they could do, I said just wanted to fill up gas and they started filling my tank, cleaning my windshield, I sensed something is strange so I ask how much the gas price was they said 2.29, I said ok. Got my bill and they charged me 2.99, went and asked why, they said coz I was in the full service area and they charge more for that... they could have told me about that before they pumped the gas... its total dishonesty and my family wont ever go to this place again

Yes, I was there in fact. I bought gas on Thursday and had my tire pressure checked. Im sorry if you think my rating isnt what youre entitled to but I think a 4 is pretty good overall.

I have gone to this place for over 5 years and never once had any issue whatsoever with it! I have had friends and family members go to this place for over 30 years and never once complained about anything! All they have said is how great and caring and respectful Pruitts is. The placed has been opened since the 60s and if they have been open that long and doing this well, something has to be going well! This is an old fashioned place where they clean your windshield, and do whatever is necessary to help you, from fixing a flat tire, to getting a tire replaced, to an oil change, this place is the best! Once again, friends and family have been going there for over 30 years and never once had any sort of complaint!

Solid work, great communication, and a reasonable price. Pruitts identified the problem and were really forthright in talking about the service and not nickel-and-diming me on any unnecessary parts or repairs. Way more honest and economical than other car places I have tried in town. I will definitely come back here next time.

About 15 years ago, I moved to Louisville from Georgia to attend seminary up the street from Pruitts. It can be dicey to have to find a dependable, reasonable and honest mechanic in a new town and thankfully, I found the folks at Pruitts. Over the years, they have done numerous jobs on my cars from oil changes to brake jobs and more serious things and I have always been very pleased with their work. Dealing with Rocky and his mechanics has always been a pleasure. They are friendly and always make certain I know exactly what they are either going to do to my car or what they have done and how much it will cost. I am very grateful to have found Pruitts and continue as a happy customer all these years later.

Had a flat tire. Stopped in to get air. The attendant showed me there was a screw in my tire, and he fixed it within a couple of minutes. He was pleasant and explained what he was doing throughout. Couldnt ask for a better experience.

Went to get my window fixed on ‘08 vw beetle. Had to go back 3 times because it would either rolled down by itself when I unlocked the door and the window didn’t close all the way and I could hear/feel air from outside when driving. 3/4 months later still have the same issues. I unlocked my car and the window starts to go crazy (up/down continuously). The ONLY problem I had when I went in the there was the window didn’t roll up and now I have all these other issues. They also broke my door handle and glued it back so I wouldn’t notice. Really?!

I had a concern about my car. It felt like it wiggled while driving on a high speed, so I took it to Pruitts and described all the possible problems. The owner Rocky kindly took his time to test drive my car, and told me my car was driving just fine. During the drive, he answered all my questions and gave me additional tips about cars. He couldve made up some problems and charged me for them, but he didnt. I cant thank him enough for his time and honesty.

I tried to get gas there and the person who claimed to be the manager started harassing me. I drove away to get away from him and he followed me downthe street and banged onmy cat then walked away. Completely bizarre.

I have not seen Rocky in years. But I was a customer of his old station by KTsI have known Rocky in a professional, and personal sense for years.I worked for Chevron, and his father was trusted to train all the station owners.His father was love and respected by all. And I have never heard a bad word on any of his kids, and that includes Rocky.Some years ago, Rocky and I were involved in a recreational activity. I was the teacher. Partly due to an illness he knew nothing about, and I was just learning to deal with myself, it did not last. Rocky took it like a real gentleman, and was cool about the whole thing. I am ever greatful.I have seen Rocky in his business dealing, and he is fair, and above board. He is helpful, and always has time for a customer in need. And he makes sure that all his men, down to the rookie driveway salesman are kind and considerate.I to this day send people there, even just for a tire problem. I know they WILL be treated fairly, and honestly.I just got a car after ten years of not havimg one, and Rocky is at the top of the list to take care of it.I too in the past was in automotive s very deeply, and I have never, ever heard Rocky say or lead anyone wrong just to make an extra buck.If you entrust your auto needs to him and his crew, you can rest assured you are in safe hands.God Bless all.Rob

Ive had horrible experiences with auto shops before where Ive had deliberate damage done to my vehicle so I would have to pay for repair; been charged for unnecessary work; or been charged for work that was never actually completed. Needless to say when i took my sons car to Pruitts for a brake job and got a call saying there was another problem, I immediately voiced my suspicions. Rocky called and we talked through all my issues and concerns. He kept up constant communication with me while all repairs were completed and explained everything. That communication made all the difference in the world. Rocky earned my trust and my business.
