CJ and Jon absolutely killed this project. It wasn’t in a house but in a MOTORHOME. A six week old RV and fridge locked up and I drove 4,000 miles in it using a cooler until I could get home.Once I did, Samsung was less than helpful, closed my ticket(without repair) a couple of times and overall not communicative.Universal Appliance came to the rescue and approached this job with some concern regarding the logistics of the repair, but all the readiness to do the job you could ask for. CJ even bought me a lunch…!!!Overall, stellar interaction with everyone at Universal. Thanks to Justin, Jennifer, CJ & Jon.Highly recommend.

Kenny came to our house 4 times to work on a number of warrantied issues (never buy a Samsung appliance!) He was professional, knowledgeable, and very courteous each time. Always showed up in the allotted time and gave a heads up call for good measure. Highly recommend!

I had an appointment on 2/18/21 between the hours of 2 to 5. I called on 2/17 to see what type of payment they accept. She stated any (cash, card)....but then informs me that they are behind due to the weather and arent coming out. It was after 12 pm the day before, they knew for a couple days they werent coming because they were behind. AND had 0 decency to call. I had been without a dryer for over a week and cannot wait anymore. I canceled my service with them then canceldd service through my home warranty company. I understand the weather but had i not called i would have not known they werent coming.
Ive used a number of appliance repair services over the years, and I find Universal to be the most professional by far. Employees are clean cut and very professional and the office is very responsive. Genuine customer advocates and I recommend them highly.
DO NOT use this company. I put in a service call with my home warranty & Universal was sent to our house. They collected my $100 (standard fee for my warranty) & I have yet to hear back from them. When you call the company they are no longer taking phone calls???? The voicemail asks for you to leave a message & then when the message picks up their mailbox is full. I would rate them -0 out of 5 stars. Absolutely terrible!

They’ve been out here to fix our fridge THREE times. Replaced the same part twice and that’s obviously not the issue. I’ve thrown away almost $1,000 worth of groceries brand new thinking they finally fixed the fridge. We’ve been eating takeout for 3 months and you can only imagine what that costs. When we call back to schedule another appointment they don’t send a guy for two weeks even though they haven’t fixed our fridge one time. Plus they look at it for 3 minutes and leave. I will never ever use this company again and make sure friends and family do the same.
This is a company, that I will use again. They have fixed several items, always the best customer service! They have literally saved me hundreds by fixing things as compared to just get another one! And yes, this was a warranty issue. Sometimes, they have to order parts but CJ will follow the parts and get u called back.. Kenny, is talented with his work but his customer service skills are such a pleasure to do business with! Great experience all the way around!!
I have used this company twice, once for a dishwasher and once for an oven. I had zero problems setting the appointments up. Both techs were excellent. Both problems were resolved. One was under warranty and the other issue was happily under $200 (including Universal’s $79 base fee). I would use them again. After coronavirus, the tech arrived appropriately using PPE.
Sears Home Warranty has Universal Appliance Service as one of their service providers. When contacted, Universal said they would not repair my dryer since I lived in Henry County and was too far away. That seems rather short sighted (or rather, short sited) since other service provider make the effort. My HVAC is maintained and repaired by Combs Heating and Cooling in Clarksville Indiana. In a company signs on with a warranty service they should at least provide that service.
Great service. When we scheduled our appointment they were very professional and took all precautions with covid19. The technician we had was Kenny, he is very polite and informative on everything. Definitely will recommend this company to all friends and family.

Great customer service. They schedule appointments and call when they are on their way. Our technician, Kenny, was very respectful and polite - this guy made sure he didnt track dirt in our home and cleaned up his mess. Kenny kept us well informed on what was wrong with our refrigerator and how long it would take to get the part.The lady who handles customer service was absolutely charming and helpful. This is possibly the best customer service we have ever had.
We have had Kenny come out to the house about 4 times for our dishwasher (never buy a Samsung) he has been amazing on trying to get it taken care of.
Kenny was friendly and wore a mask (2020🤷🏼♀️) He replaced the part and remembered I had wanted to check the temp to regulate it. While waiting for the oven to preheat he vacuumed out the dust and funk that was revealed when the lower drawer was pulled out 😬

This is the third time I have used Universal Appliance Service in the last five years. Each and every time the customer service representatives have been extremely helpful, professional and friendly. Setting up an appointment time that fit my schedule. The service technicians have had the knowledge and proficiency to fix the problems. The parts manager has be able to get the parts in a timely manner so the problem could be resolved. I really appreciate the fact that Justin was able to quickly diagnosis the problem with my daughters freezer. Looking forward to seeing Justin again tomorrow with the replacement part. Universal Appliance is lucky to have Justin working for them. He carries himself in a professional manner with all the knowledge and technical skills required to perform his job properly. Justin what a special person! He called early to let me know when he would be at my house per our conversation had the part to repair my dishwasher. John was the technician who came out and was super thorough and helpful in answering questions. They set and met the appointment times. Would recommend! Also, this was for a warranty claim and I was treated as if I was the paying customer.
No Service rendered, Waited for 5 days for service when arrived service agent not certified on product even though I listed Model, type in service order. Unable to contact company message machine full.I have contacted American Home Shield and they have assigned another vendor to this issue.
Jason came, couldn’t get the dishwasher out (not his fault). Came back when I made it possible to pull the unit out. He was professional and courteous. Gave me specific instructions and a number to call if there were any problems. Great job.
Ive had them out so many times I lost count. I have Lowes extended warranty. They didnt stop working with Lowes and Samsung over my drier issues til it was resolved. That this drier was just not going to work. Parts were replaced and replaced again. Thank you for sticking with me and dealing with the pain of a warranty company that just doesnt want to give up and make it right with the customer. Lowes is issuing a check to cover complete cost of my drier. Thank you Universal Appliances Services and Lowes for finally making this right.Still waiting on check to arrive.
We bought a used Thermador stove and wanted it checked out before installing it. We dropped it off at their shop and the owner was there to answer any and all questions. He had to order a few parts, but was still done in only a week. Very nice guy, and reasonable prices. I would use them again should the need arise.
Have had 3 different appointments scheduled for a warranty repair through Samsung. I have had to rearrange schedules and take off work to be here only for them to cancel (when they are actually supposed to be there) and cant schedule you for another week out. Pretty rude when you point that out to them as well. 1 star is being VERY generous!
I see a pattern with their service history. If you have to use them for the warranty companies, they could care less. If you are paying then yourself, everything it great. All about the money. But if not for my warranty program, I’d fix it myself off utube rather than use them.
So I came to them after the other Samsung repair place failed to repair my fridge. They defrosted it again and replaced the sensor, again, and a couple months later the same issue happened, so I decided to give them another shot since they actually answer the phone. Kenny and Justin were the two techs I dealt with and both were professional and knowledgeable, and guess what, its been about two weeks and my fridge is still holding cold properly. As long as it stays that way, we good, my dudes.
I have been a loyal Universal Appliance Service customer for over 5 years now. I have always been giving high quality service at extremely affordable pricing. I am, for sure, a satisfied customer.
I did get a window time of 9-noon. Now I think that is fair. Most companies give you a window of time. The technician Justin arrived around 11:30. He diagnosed the problem with my dryer in a matter of seconds. He had the part with him and had my dryer up and running in about 30-40 minutes. Justin was great!!! I will definitely call Universal Appliance again for any appliance issues.
I was quoted a price which was responsible for the convenience of having someone make the repairs. There were some issues that arose initially upon the tech arriving and the service was to be rescheduled. There were additional charges that the accounts department negotiated a reduction to those additional charges. The repairs were made. There were some additional issues that arose with the same tech and his helper. I called and spoke with the service manager Cj. He and I discussed the issues at hand. He apologized for said issues, we agreed on a fair resolution. Had Cj been the tech I feel the service call would have been better. 4 stars instead of 5 due to the fact that there are some techs that could use some refinement. Youll have that most anywhere. All in all, I feel that I had an above average experience.

First repair person to visit the house was unable to repair the refrigerator. Universal Appliance stated they had to order new parts. After two weeks with no response, I called to check on the status of my claim. They said someone would call me within the week to schedule a repair appointment. After another two weeks without any response, I called again. I was informed the parts were on back order. I called again after another two weeks and they informed the parts had been shipped and someone would contact me within the week for an appointment. After another two weeks, still with no response, I called - they informed me the parts were still on back order... Still waiting on my refrigerator to be fixed.
Scheduling will not work with you. I needed an afternoon appointment, and was told I had to take a morning appointment. I was told that because of the way they run their route, and because I am close to their location, they could only offer me a morning appointment, regardless of which day they came. When I said, Then I guess you cant do my warranty work. She said, Okay. I have an afternoon appointment with A&E, hopefully, I will have better luck with them.

I have nothing but great things to say about the customer service I received! I was referred to this company through My LG Home warranty after a nightmare with the first company. The ladies in the office are very informative and accommodating - While their arrival window may be large, I had asked for a more approximate time, and she was happy to oblige and even noted to give me 30 minutes notice before the service person arrived. John came the first time to check out my washer and quickly found the issue and said he’d order parts. I received a call a week later to schedule a repair, and John once again came with CJ. Both of these men were SO respectful, friendly, informative, and pleasant. Such a pleasant experience and welcomed change from most home warranty-related companies. Thank you!!!

I was forced to use this company because of my warranty deal with Lowes. They use this company but really need to do their research before contracting with unreliable companies. I called and set up a schedule for the service tech to come out in the afternoon. It was confirmed. I later received a call while on vacation that they dont have anyone in my area for that time and they dont know why Lowes scheduled that time. After many phone calls and a final phone call to the company I found out the service tech lives and has his office located in Shepherdsville and he prefers to his afternoon work from there and Bardstown which leaves at their mercy. When my wife finally called and spoke with the service tech he was very rude and condescending to her stating we werent their only customer and he would get there when he got there. Now mind you, we werent even given a range of when they would get to our house until the day of the service. He was supposed to call us once he was on his way. The range was from 8-12. At 10:30 my wife called and asked for an update because she had an appt. at 11am which they were aware of. The service tech hadnt even started his day yet. We were supposed to be the first call of the day but instead were a second thought to them. Lowes do your research next time. All you have to do is look at the reviews of other people and their experiences. This company wont be getting our business. Customers obviously dont come first.
The reviews are true. This company is pretty bad. I had to use them for a warranty covered repair because the drain pump went out on my Frigidaire Washer/dryer combo. They leave a huge window for when they can come out for service, so you will have to take the whole day off work. It took them a week to schedule the appointment, a week to order the part and another week to come out and fix the part.A month later I got the repair, and on top of that, my washer broke again a few months later. If you are not getting the repair done for free through a warranty then go to someone else.

Their service is HORRIBLE!! DO NOT have them service ANYTHING you have, they call but soon report they are out of your service area. There is simply nothing you can do about this because they will only reschedule you, the technician wont even TRY to double back to fit you in. i will ABSOLUTELY do everything i can to spread the word on this company. Theres a such thing as customer service & this company lacks in every area!!

Only used them because they were sent by our home warranty company. Technician was more interested in the bottle of bourbon on the counter than in taking care of the broken fridge. Technician and company were in ZERO hurry to get parts to replace, and communication was very difficult. Coming on 2 weeks without a working fridge. Will NOT use them again on our own. If warranty company insists, I will drop the warranty company.
They were supposed to be here between noon and 5:00. I got a call from the technician after 5:00 saying he would be here a little after 6:00. It is now 8:41. No call. NO WAY will they be working on my appliances. My home warranty company needs to choose another company to work with. RIDICULOUS.
Worst service experience of my life. First, they give me a service window of noon-5. Who can take off a whole days work to sit around and hope the guy shows up within that 5 hour window? Then they call and wonder if they can come early. Im not home at the time and by the time I get there (25 minutes) the guy has left.Absolutely no way I would recommend this company to anyone. Im trying to get my money back, and the one person Ive been able to speak to on the phone was unsure of how that process worked.
Absolute worst service Ive received. Im not sure I can even classify it as service. Unfortunately they have zero responsiveness. They dont answer their phone so youre forced to leave message after message after message and no response. They have horribly long call time windows forcing you to have to take off of work and wait for them to fix your appliance and then, surprise, its NOT FIXED and they wont respond to your multiple inquiries to come back. How they manage to stay in business and be the go to provider from our warranty company boggles my mind. Onward to a provider that can actually fix the issue at hand. Good luck to all with them.
I had to use universal appliance because of my warranty through Home Depot. They came out January 19, 2018 to fix my washer that was still under warranty. My washer was finally fixed on February 28, 2018 after the third trip and having to order parts. I was happy and thought everything was done, Six weeks later I get a bill for almost $60 with the words final notice on it in red, this was the first bill I ever received and had no idea I owed anything since it was under warranty. I immediately called and selected the option for the billing department to speak with Amber, I left Amber a message and asked her to please call me back. I never heard anything and assumed she realized my appliance was under warranty and I owed nothing. About 4 weeks later with no call back I get a letter from a collection agency! I am really upset, I have no problem paying a bill I legitimately owe but this is wrong. Most companies would let you know something wasn’t covered under the warranty before they did the work.

Do not buy Frigidaire and do not use Universal Appliance. I was supposed to have my Refrigerator repaired on Monday after waiting for 3 weeks for my part to come in and wait for the first available appointment. I took off from work and got a call the morning of saying my repair technician had called in sick and it would be another week before I could schedule a repair. There was no exception and they have no other technician to do the repair. They only have 1 technician per area and only 1 time slot available. Here I am having to take off work yet again for the 5th time in 2 months for a brand new refrigerator and they cant even switch my repair to a late afternoon appointment to avoid having to leave work.On the first repair the technician left his phone on my counter and I had to turn around after being half way back to work. I will be demanding that Frigidaire use a different repair company in the future...as I have a feeling this repair is not going to solve my problem. Sorry for ranting...I would give zero stars if I could.
In contention for worst service ever. I paid $100 for a service person to come to my home and remove my ice maker. Over a month later, I still had not heard from anyone regarding replacing the part. Calls and messages to Universal Appliance Service were not returned. Finally, I reached someone on the phone. He told me the part I need is no longer made and I will have to call the home warranty company. When were they going to tell me that??????????
If it wasnt a warranty job I wont let this bunch work on a 6 pack cooler. My refrigerator went out on the 28th of December. Called Frigidaire they sent someone from here to check it. Told them it was important I get it repaired as soon as possible because of my wifes medicine needs to be refrigerated. The 4th of January we got them out here. Every thing had spoiled by then. Serviceman assured me he would have parts and be back in a week to complete the repair. After not hearing back I called and inquiried about repair this was on the 10th. I was told the parts were not in and they didnt know when they would get them. I called Frigidaire to see what they could do.They contacted this company and was told the parts where in and they would be contacting me. About 10 minutes later I got a called saying the parts were in but it would be another week the 18th before they can send a repairman back out. This repairman is in my area twice a week.This is the most unreliable company I have ever dealt with in my 66 years.
Terrible. We first called them to fix our dishwasher the week of November 7th. Today is December 9th. Its still not fixed. Every time they are supposed to come out they call to say they cant and it will be another week until they can come. They finally came out and ordered the part we need and then 10 days later they called to say it was in and theyd be out in a week to install it. Then the day theyre supposed to install it, the technician is out sick and they cant get anyone out for another week.
Gave me a time window so I took off work, never showed. Tech called an hour after they were supposed to be there and when I told him I had to go back to work he got angry and hung up on me. Done.
OMG, I was referred by American Home Shield, went on line and was reading the reviews...then I called to confirm my appointment and a lady that answered the phone said the appointment would have to be rescheduled because you guessed it???? a person had called in and there was a shortage of staff. I then asked when was I going to get a call about the cancellation......now Im calling American Home Shield to request another service provider...I scared and leery to deal with these company after reading the reviews. I would have rated a Zero if I could and wondering if the 4-5 stars were paid.....
Tech showed up slurred his words, eyes red and puffy, and smelled of alcohol, he left saying had to order part and would be called when part came in to make appt. for install. After he left called warranty company they called repair service and was told that tech does not drink and has no other tech to provide install of part when it comes in????? This has to be a bad joke!!!! Warranty company has issued new repair company to come out, will have to wait 2 weeks for available appt. but worth it!!
Fairly awful. For starters how does an appliance repair company offer NO availability weeknights or weekends. Only 9-4 M-F. What an absolute joke. They expect people to take a day off work to fix and ice maker. Actually 2 days bc everytime they come out first for 30 seconds and say they have to order a Part. My experience was waiting the entire 4 hour appt window for a tech to show up for literally less than 30 seconds and say a part needed to be ordered and someone would call me in two business days. 12 days later no call. After 4 voicemails I finally got someone to answer. Who said oh the part has been here weve just been so busy I havent had time to Make my outbound calls. Just wow. So another half day off work and maybe it will be fixed. If at all possible avoid using this company for anything
This place is a joke. They give you a 5 hour service appt window (which means you have to take the entire day off work) and they have now rescheduled my appt three times. The guy has called in sick every time. Its ridiculous that their only option is to reschedule and have the customer take another day off work. I feel like no other respectable company would treat people like this. My appliances were purchased through my builder and this is who the warranty company uses. If not for that, I would NEVER use them. Totally unprofessional.

I have called 5 times today and I am transferred to a general answering service and nobody calls me back.I had an app for today, It was cancelled and I have been unable to schedule another .The day after I called again and left the same message. I am waiting for an answer.
CAME TO FIX MY WASHING MACHINE. CHARGED ME A SERVICE CALL. DETERMINED I NEEDED A NEW PUMP. SAID THEY WOULD ORDER PUMP. THEN DECIDED THEY WOULD NOT COME BACK AND FIX IT. TECHNICIAN STATED OUTSIDE OF MACHINE WAS DIRTY. THEY KEPT MY MONEY AND WOULD NOT FIX THE MACHINE. THEY DECIDED NOT TO FIX IT NOT ME. THAT IS THEFT, FOLKS. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE.
I have been waiting for them to get back with me on my washer and even leaving messages- this has been one of the worst experiences ever. They never answer their phone and then when you do press a button, you get nothing but an answering machine that tells you to leave a message- it is so aggravating to say the least. I have a warranty and they by far have not honored it- I will be calling a different number soon to see what else I can do!
Horrible experience. They cancelled the appointment at the last minute, because previous calls had taken longer than expected. I explained that this was the only day available, but they said too bad and rescheduled anyway.Its very hard to get someone on the phone, and when you do they are rude and unhelpful. The repairman stank of cigarette smoke. He didnt have the part they needed. It took two weeks to get it, so a dishwasher repair ended up taking almost a month. Avoid at all costs.
LG scheduled a dishwasher repair through Universal Appliances for me AFTER I had paid the $260 fee for the repair. Universal called me to reschedule for the next week, THEN they called me that next week (on the day of the appointment) and left a voicemail to cancel the appointment. They havent returned any of my calls or messages. I had to go through LG Customer Service to be scheduled with a new service provider. If I could give zero stars, I would.
