The community is good. But what made this place great was the maintenance team, in particular Donnie. He was always friendly and provided good advise whenever I asked.

Kendal is a great place. Affordable compared to other luxury apts, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, quiet neighborhood, really clean. Staff knows you by name on sight and what apt you’re in. Very friendly people, very organized. They really care about their tenants. My cat ran off of a week, the office sent out a newsletter with my cats picture and the whole complex was on the lookout. My neighbor found him and knocked on my door.Maintenance staff on top of their game. Never had a maintenance service as good as this one at any other apt complex. You’ll get to know Donnie, he’s very friendly and knows his stuff. It’s not often I leave such positive reviews, but this one is well deserved. I’ve been living here for the past year, and I can’t honestly think of one criticism.

Kendall on Taylorsville is a great place to live. It is very quiet and clean and the staff here is great. Anytime I have a maintenance issue, Donnie will always come and save the day. The office staff has been amazing too, they will even jump in a dumpster when you accidently toss your car keys with your trash. Leasing Consultant Kelly came to my rescue. Kelly tossed on her boots and climbed into the dumpster and fished out my keys. Her response to me was it was her job to help residents out, no matter the task. She never complained, she just wanted to help me out. I am almost certain that dumpster diving is not on the list of job requirements. I am so thankful she was there when this happened, she went above and beyond and I will be forever grateful. Thanks Kelly!

Donnie was amazing; we recently moved to another unit on property and he was super efficient in helping us put in our ceiling fan! Kelly was great and keeping us informed and aware of every step in the process. Very grateful for our KOT team!

I have lived at Kendal for 2 years now and I have to give an appreciation shout out to Donnie and the rest of the maintenance crew as well as the front office staff. They are always prompt to respond to any questions or needs and maintenance is always completed in a timely manner. I came home over the weekend to an 87 degree apartment, my AC went out (which I think was due to my error after trying to change the batteries). I put a request in and then saw Donnie shortly after and not only did he know who I was, he told me he would be up to fix it ASAP and he was true to his word. I got home from work to a very cool and relaxing apartment. I just wanted to give them the recognition they deserve and would recommend these apartments to anyone who is looking for a great place to live!

Our maintenance man Donnie is top notch… Always prompt, friendly, gets the job done in a timely manner and always leaves the area as clean as he finds it.

Once again, Donnie has exceeded our expectations. He answered our request the same morning we put the request in. We call that really good service! 👏

I am surrounded by awesome neighbors, there is a sense of community here and I feel safe. The office staff is extremely professional and very friendly. The maintenance guys are awesome and will go out of there way to help with any problem. Moving to Kendal is easily one of the greatest decisions Ive ever made. I highly recommend this apartment community to anyone looking for an upscale living experience.

We moved from Kendal about a month ago due to a job change and sure do miss it. The units are so well maintained and the layouts are perfect. We loved everything about our apartment.Kendal is extremely dog friendly yet stays very clean, don’t let that discourage you if you don’t have a dog.The office staff is nice, professional, and super helpful. The maintenance team is so friendly and responsive.The location is great. It’s accessible without being near much traffic or nosy roads. It’s close enough to all the essentials you need.By far my favorite place I’ve ever lived! I can’t say enough good things about Kendal.

Adrienne and the staff are excellent! Their responsiveness is above and beyond, you can always count on them to follow up and take care of your needs. The upkeeping in the courtyard and community spaces are impeccable and you can tell the team realizes this is an important aspect of their tenants experience living here. As far as the units go, theyre well maintained and have were built with great finishes. Could not recommend highly enough.

My husband and I are approaching our 5th year residing at Kendal on Taylorsville. We absolutely love it here and totally feel this is our home. We absolutely love living here! We never hear our neighbors, and they have young children, so one would expect to at least occasionally hear something, but nope! Never. Everyone we have met throughout the community has been nice and polite. The office staff is the best! They are all so kind and helpful. The maintenance guys are awesome. It has been many years since I have lived in an apartment-- and all I can say is that I sure did choose the right ones! This place is so unique, Kendal offers so many different floor plans and beautiful, well kept grounds, that you cant help but feel at peace living here! The staff, from the office to the maintenance crew, to grounds keepers are always so nice. This place is very dog friendly and there are all sorts of age groups living here, and most talk to you when youre out-it definitely gives you a sense of belonging to a community. I love it here!

We relocated here from another Hills community in Ohio. The staff at The Kendal went out of there way to make this move as painless as possible. The community is immaculate. The grounds, common areas including the pool are always free of debris and kept clean. I would highly recommend this complex to anyone looking in the area. As for the staff, its awesome they actually remember you by name when you see them in passing. Absolutely no regrets!

I really love all the staff here. You all are always so friendly. The grounds and facilities are always kept so clean. You all make living here so much fun for every age, even going the extra mile for our dogs by building a dog park for them (which I appreciate more than you know!) The family pool parties, ice cream parties, cookie decorating, coffee always on deck, and much more. Last week was my daughters and boyfriends birthday and they came home to balloons and a goody bag by the front door. The look on my little ones face was priceless! We always highly recommend Kendal to our friends and family. You guys truly look for ways to serve your residents and put their needs ahead of your own. And we appreciate that more than anything. Love these apartments! We have been here since September and couldnt be happier with the quality of the apartments, gym, and grounds. Looking forward to using the grill and swimming pool when they open up. All of the staff is friendly and accommodating. They host multiple events each month and try to bring people together. Great place to live and close to everything.

The staff is amazing and super helpful. The apartments are clean and the security for the building is a bonus. The pool is fantastic and the resident events are fun. Plenty of parking and neighbors are friendly.

We love it here. Maintanace is great and the amenities are awesome. The dog park is a bit small but is OK. My son has just moved here as well. I would recommend to anyone looking for luxury apartments.

We have been very pleased with this apartment complex. The office staff are friendly,helpful and very informative about the Louisville area. The maintenance crew have been quick to take care of the service requests we’ve had.

Rent increases are insane every year. Not worth the money. You can hear everything your neighbors are doing definitely not sound proof as promised. Dog poop is all over the grass and no one cares. Management is ridiculous and rude. Every issue you have is ignored and never addressed. When you bring complaints to them they are rude and unwilling to listen or help. Cars get broken into all the time here, so not safe. Pool was late being opened this year yet my rent went up 75.00. It’s not worth the money I pay to live here. Won’t be resigning terrible experience!

People can say a lot of things but when it comes down to it this place is pretty great, they have taken to long to put in a dog park so it shouldn’t of been promised or part of the pitch but across the board, I’ve loved living here. I have resigned with them 3 times. I have transferred units and everything. They typically open the pool earlier then Memorial Day which is a huge plus and keep it open well after Labor Day. Good location. The walls are great cause you can’t hear people next to you but the ceiling is not thick enough. That would be the only real down fall

I love the Kendal! Best community I have lived in. I have never been more happy than I am living here. Bet you never walked into your new apartment and smelled freshness of a beach. You will here. Same smell in clubhouse. You will always find a sense of security and HOME with a family environment. The company at the Kendal gives back all the time. Drawing/door prizes/parties! One year, they gave away TVs!! We are HIGHLY pet friendly. Salt water pool! Im sure you will find something you love. Check us out!

We lived here two years while I was in pharmacy school. The staff was awesome and the grounds were always maintained well. They are pricey but I would say it is worth it for the friendliness of the staff and neighbors.

We love it here! The community is very nice, the units are beautiful, the staff is amazing, and everything is very well maintained. You can place online maintenance requests and they always respond quickly (even to change a lightbulb). The staff has been great at answering questions and assisting as needed. We have no complaints. I dont agree with the previous review that the apartments are noisy. We have had no issues. We met some of our neighbors in passing and they have kids or dogs (or both) and still its not been too loud. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an apartment. They deserve these 5 stars! :D

DO NOT RENT HERE. Been living here for a little over a year. When we first moved in we were playing music and immediately got a complaint so we can’t even listen to music without complaints due to poor insulation. My car has been broken into THREE TIMES causing my boyfriends entire backpack with his school books and laptop stolen. Even though this is a “gated community” they only have cameras in front of the office!!! It’s so noisy since it’s right by the road when I’m on the patio I can’t even hear myself think when cars are driving by. When someone is walking on the sidewalk and flicks their cigarettes, it’s blamed on us even though we installed a carpet on the deck just in case one were to fall through (because of wind) even though we have an ash tray. The neighbor below us constantly lets his dog poop in the yard without cleaning it up and the neighbors next door are constantly smoking weed so the hall always smells like it. The other neighbors on the other side have been rude multiple times to my boyfriend (because he’s black) because she’s obviously racist. The pool is also so crowded I’m pretty sure it’s over capacity. We were asked to renew our lease but with the rent Increasing to ALMOST $1800 we knew we had to get out. when we told them we wanted to do month to month they told us we have one month to get out?? The management is always rude with any complaints. I’ve never lived in a more stuck up and cold hearted complex in my entire life. DONT RENT HERE.

Amazing location, and everything is very well presented. My Family and i really want to live here but the prices are quite steep, but not unreasonable.Definitely will be looking into this place in the future when we have better jobs.

ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. A TOTALLY MISERABLE EXPERIENCE. Do yourself a big favor...find another place to live. My son moved into a brand new, top floor unit. The utility bills have averaged $250/ month for a 1000 sf unit. Thats about 3x what it should be, esp. for the mild winter we had. Kendal has acknowledged the problem, promised various courses of action to resolve it, and after months of aggravation and disappointment have simply failed to accomplish anything but passing the problem around their office. No one there wants to own a resolution. KEEP LOOKING. THERE ARE LOTS OF APTS AVAILABLE. YOULL BE HAPPY YOU SKIPPED THIS ONE.

Promised dog park 8 months ago, it is very important to us, for it was the number one reason that we moved in. looks like alot have been waiting longer, based on these reviews. Will rate 5 stars when finished. Kind of expensive and cheaply made, but overall a good place to live. Still waiting on that dog park though

Staff is helpful, service requests are done quickly, unit was clean upon move in and is updated with nice counter tops and flooring. Community has lots of parking, a nice playground, and a small dog park for off-leash activities.

Just moved in 2 weeks ago and love it!

They were not upfront about the cost, raising the the security deposit over double the original. Very unorganized and poorly structured complex! If you are looking for a place to live that is upfront about everything Kendal is not for you!

Don’t live here if you enjoy decorating for holidays, you’ll be fined for putting up Christmas decorations before thanksgiving is over with or if they r not taken down within a week after. They will also fine you if they don’t like your decor. I was asked to remove my patio furniture while my neighbors was cheaper than mine by they were allowed to keep theirs up. They definitely do not treat everyone fairly. On a positive note, The one bedrooms are beautifully designed! ....but if you like to sleep then I recommend living on a top floor bc The walls are paper thin. I also hear their small dog constantly running around. I would give this place 2.5 stars if I could bc they have plenty of parking.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! This is horrible, I can hear the person above me come, and go. Can hear her opening her bathroom drawers. I was told that you wouldnt be able to hear your neighbors like that b/c it was built to condo standards. THATS A LIE!! They pick and chose who they let get away with not following the rules. DO NOT MOVE HERE! I cant wait to leave this horrible expensive place its NOT WORTH THE MONEY AT ALL!!THEY KEPT MY DEPOSIT AFTER I CLEANED THE PLACE! Then 11 months later I found out they have put $478 on my credit report. BUT NEVER SENT ME A BILL, EMAIL, PHONE CALL OR NOTHING! I GAVE MY FORWARDING ADDRESS TO KRISTIN TWICE! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!

We have lived here for 1 year. Both the Office and Maintenance staffs are superb ! They always go out of their way to take care of and think about the Residents 1st. They are always friendly + thinking of fun events + take care of any issues promptly. Example 1: Weeks ago, Shirley (Manager) was out late at night to make sure that local teenagers didnt park on-site or disrupt our peaceful community. Example 2: weve had service tickets in to fix minor issues, install ceiling fans, new light bulbs, etc. -- all were resolved in a matter of a few days with 80% of the issues resolved the same or next day. The homes, security (outside door + inside door), and maintenance are impeccable and super-quiet (very well constructed and insulated). Id rate the Kendal Team and homes even higher if possible.

We moved in when they were still building the other apartments. Great staff. Great environment. Great events. Outstanding clubhouse. Our rent increase was not even 1% of rent. The only bad thin I have to say honestly is:When driving 55MPH (Speed limit), turning into the place can be a traffic magnet, since you have to slow down down like 15MPH.Google Maps still has problems. So giving directions and getting delivery are kind of ehh.But whatever.Blakenbaker is full of food (5min drive)Shelbyville Road is the next closet (5 to 10 min drive)or Bardstown/Fern Creek (5 to 10 min drive, opposite direction)I am not being paid for this! I moved into Kendall on Taylorsville in March and the first few weeks were ok. Soon after moving in the property manager Shirley Miller began her rain of terror harassing tenants for everything from what SHE thought was appropriate on their patios (understanding there are regulations) telling me I could not have a garbage can or a dog water bowl on the patio which i am paying rent on and paying additional fee for my pet. There have been arrest by LMPD outside my door, multiple car break ins and vandalism to automobile and break in and stolen tvs from the leasing office/club house. If the crime is not bad enough Shirley Miller - property manager -laughable! has an agenda to make it as miserable as possible to live here if she does like you or if you have a differing opinion (absolutely scary how she reacts). She is the most incompetent apartment property manager I have ever unfortunately had to deal with. I would rate this property manager ZERO. Drive though the complex before considering coming to jail here and ask any residents you may see out what their experience has been. **HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT!!!***

Came to look at the complex and the lady in the back office(property manager ) was on her cell phone,by the sound of it a personal call. We waited 15 mins and she never once acknowledge us.
