Never use Budget Truck Rental!I made a reservation for a 12 foot truck about a month before my move. Because I was moving from LA, CA to UT, it was very expensive (over $1,200). When I showed up to pick up my truck I was informed that they didnt have any 12 foot trucks and that all they had were vans. They had my reservation in the computer but they said there was nothing that they could do because they didnt have any trucks. They said that if I would have read all the fine print that it didnt actually say that they would have the type of truck that I had reserved when I showed up. Apparently, a reservation is not actually a reservation for this company.My entire move was scheduled around this date and a van wasnt going to cut it. They never called or emailed or anything to tell me that there might be a problem. They told me that they had no visibility into availability at other locations and there was nothing they could do. After some heated discussion they somehow found a 16 foot truck that was supposed to go to someone else (sorry to that guy!) and gave it to me. Then, I had to deal with them pushing insurance on me and making me call my insurance company to verify that I was covered.Luckily I had a truck (although it was too big for my purposes) but unfortunately it was a piece of trash. It had over 185,000 miles on it and I felt like it was going to break down at any moment. It started overheating as I drove through the desert and the air conditioner stopped working. I slowed down and stopped for a bit to try to make sure it wouldnt overheat. For the whole 11 hour trip I thought it was going to break down at any moment and that I was going to be stranded somewhere. Luckily, I made it.As if that wasnt enough, the back of the truck was infested with ants that got all over my stuff!The disaster only got worse when I tried to return the truck. The return office was just a shed and despite it being during business hours (8:30 with business hours being from 8 - 5), nobody was there. There was a phone number to call in the event that nobody was at the office but, of course, no one answered the phone. I had to come back later in the day to find the office still locked but at least someone answered the phone that time.How does a company function with such incompetence, horrible business processes, and disregard for the customer? I will never use them again.

Know the rules. If you notice the gas tank isnt full before or just after you leave, GET IN TOUCH WITH THEM ASAP and let them know. Otherwise they will force you to fill the tank. I drove 18 miles and filled up the tank appropriately thinking I just needed to fill up for the miles I drove. But because I didnt alert them right after I left the place they said I would need to fill up all the way. My photo showing them the fuel gauge (with time stamp) didnt cut it.This is probably due to people who have scammed them in the past, and perhaps its just Budgets corporate policies.Positive note: the initial service was top notch and I was a happy camper yesterday when I was able to pick up the truck on short notice the same day. The rates are reasonable, and the location is decent too. Just be sure you know every single fine print before you drive a truck off their lot.

Made reservation during business hours for the following day. I show up with my confirmation number and am told they have no trucks. Their response was to tell me that my confirmation email only confirms the rate and doesn’t actually confirm the truck even though the email clearly states a specific pickup date and time.My previous experience here which I never wrote a review for involved them trying to overcharge for mileage. Their reading stated double the mileage I had driven. After they brought a stack of previous contracts out trying to prove I was lying, I fortunately was able to find their mistake in the paperwork they had brought out. This whole process took about 45 mins and a special trip to their office, and their only action was to revise the charge to what it should have been to start with.I recommend not wasting your time here.

Customer service here is top notch, Jesse worked with us every step of the way to make our truck rental experience a breeze. My first time using Budget and I will return again in the future if I need to rent anything else.

Great staff very helpful and friendly

Worst place ever to do a rental from. Made a reservation which was confirmed by the location, however when I arrived to pick up the rental vehicle I was informed they didn’t have it. The gentlemen Jessie was beyond rude and very unprofessional. He didn’t offer any assistance with the situation at all. We have been dealing with Budget for over 10 years, but do to the lack of professionalism displayed by Jessie it may be time to take our business elsewhere!

Started with up-sell pressure during reserved truck pickup. Passed that, after dozens of offers, questions, making me feel fortunate for the price they charge, forcing me to call my insurance company etc. Got the truck. The drive was through Washington and Oregon states, it was raining as it happens there. After few hundred miles it became apparent that the cabin was leaking directly on my head, I suffered through it, soaking wet and measurable. During the truck drop off, I mentioned that I expect to be compensated to that. The person processing the return brushed off that idea, and in response to my complaint tried to make the process as vigorous as possible, at least that was my impression. Not pleasant experience, I am unlikely to ever rent from Avis/Budget again or can recommend their services.

After a nightmare across town at another rental place, these guys stepped up at the last minute and gave me a great customer experience, saving my move and my mood.I drove off the lot feeling great.Ive been here twice, and I would definitely go back again.

So Sunday I had a bad experience. I work in the city of Glendale and there is an apartment complex right next to my job. Now the good movers know to park in the center divider so they dont cause traffic build-up. However on Sunday this delivery company using a budget truck was blocking all the parking spaces that is meant for public so I simply back my car in so I can get a spot normally where we park at. Stupid driver came at me with no apparent reason even came face to face the challenge me to a fight I got down the trucks number as well as a. Identification number because they started vandalizing my car. I called budget and they basically told me that thats not their problem whatever a driver does with the company truck is on them which I found hard to believe so basically most more companies any type of job concise wipe your car spray paint on your car no matter what even if you get the proper information about their vehicle to see what the company can do and which they should be liable as well the company says no we cant give out private information and theres nothing we can do at hand. This is something that I was told by a supposed corporate guy that was working on a Sunday even though I ask just for a simple supervisor and a customer service was talking over me the whole time when I was trying to explain the situation they said no file police report. Police dont care about vandalizing cars or anything in that matter they have better stuff to do and you really think of policemans going to stop if car get side swiped?I recommend a Budget Truck Rental just in case someones bugging you at least you can go and hit their car vandalizing and dont worry nothing will happen to you apparently that was told to me directly by the supposed corporate office and all the customer Representatives at budget.

Good deals... But had a problem... They rented out my reservation no made online for the biggest moving truck... Ended up taking a smaller truck n not everything fit. :(

They were very accommodating when we were running a few minutes late #LAtraffic. Staff was friendly and pleasant. Renting a car was a breeze and adding additional drivers was free. The car we got was clean and worked great except the staring was just a bit on the loose side, but not detrimental. They also had a little corner with a million attractions brochures which can give you some great ideas it youre doing the tourist thing.

Do not rent from this place.I reserved a box truck for a 24 hour rental over a week in advanced. When I got there they only had cargo vans. I was able to make that work.When I returned the truck there was only one person working and a line of several people. The guy at the counter told me as long as there was no damage I could leave the van and they would email me a receipt. So I took some pictures of the mileage the fuel level, noted the time and left.I never received a receipt, but they charged me an extra 150 dollars to my credit card. So, I called the store. The guy didnt check in the van till 4 hours later, so he charged me another day. They also charged me for insurance that I never asked for(they attempted to do this to me on another rental, the people at the counter must have insurance sales goal targets). I asked for a receipt and they said i would have to come to the location they couldnt email it.Instead of trying to deal with them directly I decided to just let my credit card company do it. So I called my credit card--it is a business account with a large national bank. The woman from the credit card laughed when I said the charge I wanted to dispute because she said there is such a high frequency of problems with Budget. They took away my change and said they would deal with Budget, but that there was a chance the charge would return based on Budgets response. It hasnt yet reappeared on my credit card statement, so I though it was done.Yesterday I received a letter from a collection agency asking for 150 on behalf a budget. Enough said.Avoid all this shady nonsense and dont rent from this company.

Booked a truck here only to drive 40 miles to find that they did not have my truck. They didnt bother to call me or anything, and were unapologetic. I made a reservation for the next day in a different location in LA. Keep in mind I had just moved out of the county and my $380 a month storage unit rent was going to be due in one day if I had not vacated. So I show up to the LA location and guess what? They didnt have my truck either. This day was especially frustrating because I had called ahead to ask questions about my rental with a representative from the location. She didnt bother to mention not having the truck during the conversation. When I arrived I spoke with the same woman, and she was condescending and beyond rude. Spend the extra $50 and use UHAUL. They have excellent customer service and will have your truck every time.

I had a fantastic experience here. Lovely employees and a gas station right across the street to fuel up the truck before returning it.

I tried to drop off my truck after hours, but their gate was closed so I couldnt!!! plus i called them at 12 on a Sunday in order to ask about this to avoid a trip over there and they had closed already although their message machine said they closed at 2pm! Im never renting from BUDGET again! Go with Uhaul, they have easy drop off and pick up!!!!!!!

A person who works for this company who identified himself as Bryan apparently ran into some discrepancy with a credit card from my brothers employer. This employee somehow found MY phone number even though I have never done business with them and was in no way involved in, nor indeed aware of the transaction between my brothers employer and Budget Truck rentals. I was teaching in my classroom when this employee began harassing and threatening me through text message. He literally paid money on the damn internet to search my brothers number, found mine attached to his because we share a family plan, and it was his professional decision as a representative of Budget Truck Rental to then send me multiple lengthy messages threatening to have me arrested. Id like to reiterate that I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY INTERACTION WITH THIS BUSINESS.

I went a few hours early to get my car and they were able to get me on my way! Not to mention the front desk staff, I didnt catch her name, was a delight.

Kathy has a bad attitude, she said insurance is policy and its not this is a bad buget company there never said, were locking the gate an keeping your car here, I could of park outside, horrible buget never using them again
