If I could give 0 stars I would. The department supervisor luis Sanchez failed to call back even though I left messages and called consistently from March 2nd till today. I filled our a recertification packet march 2nd at the building, the woman at the door told me to drop it in the box which I did. Simone witherspoon who was supposed to process it never did, nor did she return any of my calls I FINALLY got someone to talk to me around the 28th, I was told the application was never received.I filled out an application for both calfresh and calworks. Only cal fresh was processed, Eduardo called me March 9th to verify my application was indeed received and someone separate would reach out for the calworks. I spoke to another supervisor today Mr Washington who seemed totally unconcerned and annoyed that I had the audacity to even SUGGEST that the ball was dropped on their end and perhaps the problem was that I failed to check my mail. The only communication I EVER received was to let me know that my benefits were being cut off, no big deal! I went down in person to fix this. And Im still chasing my tail.Absolutley disgusted with the staff in this building, except u Ms johnson! Even after being reassured that Mr Sanchez would return my call TODAY BY 10AM and I called until 2pm, I have still not received any assistance what so ever. In a time where people really need the help, I am beyond disappointed beyond dissatisfied, I really feel like I was not helped or heard at all. Absolutely useless and disgusting service at this office.I will continue to call until I reach a big boss, and if this finds you Mr Sanchez, I am still waiting for a return call.
Very disrespectful rules needs to be changed as far as ehat u csn bring in for a toddler.. I understand but a toddler does not eat Gerber food.. I cant bring no type of drinks or food in.. And ill be there for hours.. Rules need to be a bit more flexible when kids are present
Had a gain worker schedule me for appointments she knew I wouldnt be able to attend and then transferred my case before I could speak to her about it. Now I cant get aid unless I straighten everything out. No one ever answers their phones or emails. Clerks are less than helpful.
And so my friends...especially my liberal friends....this is the government you want to turn over all your rights to...and every choice or decision is made by them. This is what you want? Do you really gain that much anyway? And by the way, the libs that sell the rest of you on this nirvana they can create...,with all our money and freedoms....they are laughing at u. U vote for them year after year because God forbid we arent taken care of cradle to grave. Your elite few....they never need to use this type of place, or Obamacare,,,,any of it...this garbage is for you ...not them. You and i may disagree, but at least i will be honest with you. Staff is unprofessional and petty. Carmela Vega doesn’t do her job she just lets your case sit there until it’s close to the date to be done. Her supervisor Shavanna Adams just tries to cover for her and doesn’t help the situation she prolongs things as well. She told me to my face that she can’t make Vega do anything. They’ve both been giving me the run around since I applied on January 10th. I have been up there everyday since because they don’t answer there phones. This place needs to be reported. No one should treat people like this.
This place is horrible to work at. The building manager is very unprofessional and treats staff unfairly. Really the only good thing about working here is the bathrooms are really clean.
NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I have called over a week to schedule an interview and all I get is voicemails. This is ridiculous. I would give them 0 starts if I could.
The building manager Tanya is very unprofessional and disrespectful and should not be allowed to conduct her self in disorderly conduct the way she does talking to staff & clients disrespectful and publicizing people of DPSS personal business out loud and being sarcastic and making fun of them and making fun of their hardship and struggles and laughing about it and teasing them trying to get the staff to make fun of them with her Tonya is very unprofessional and disrespectful and I felt threatened by her presents and I felt like my life and my situation is in harms way because of her she needs to be fired immediately
They are just talking and some of them are lost dont even know what they are doing .i perfer to go one that is far away then this one even.tho is 5 minutes away from my house .i dont recommend anyone going to this place .they will juat send you to a different one just to not help you
Security does NOT check employees bags or anything. Their reasoning behind this was “we don’t check them because we don’t” said the female security guard on the 1st floor.The wait time here is horrible, most of the workers hate doing their job. Even if you have an appointment you will always wait at least an hour or more.

The workers don’t care about there job to do it correctly, why do they work there then!

Unprofessional and rudeness, social worker ended my case (1 yr ago) just cause i talked rude to her about saying my 3 yr old son is mentally illness just cause he was crying like excuse me and still she steps outside and smoke like wow nice social worker 😠
Bad customer service waited over 8 hours on a empty stomach to turn in a application and they never called me and they never told me I was going to receive a letter in the mail with my appointment time and date to see a case manager.
