Friendly staff. Crowded on a Friday around 8:30pm. A lot men spending great deals of time at the smith machines. Had to wait for a smith machine even after doing an entire workout routine out of order. Weigh racks were a mess. Not everyone wipes down the equipment after use here, so be sure to wipe down before.Bring your own lock at this location; they don’t have the built-in locks in the lockers. No spray bottles on the locker room, so you can’t spray the locker and shower before and after use. However, the staff did a great job keeping it clean.Hydro massage bed is just 5 minutes unlike the 10 min you see in other locations.1 star for the patrons, 4 stars for the equipment/building, 5 stars for the staff. 3 stars overall.

I’m starting to wonder if half the equipment isn’t broken at all times? They have about 15 employees working at the front desk who seem clueless most of the time and literally HALF the dumbbells are missing. When I brought this up to them they didn’t seem particularly worried about it. I understand it’s a CHEAP membership, but even $20 is too much for this gym. I guess I’m a glutton for punishment because I keep going and end up leaving with a lot of built of hostility... which is exactly what working out should relieve. The water fountain has been out of use for over a week.... lol. Like come ON.

Horrible and so beyond dirty. The employees were rude and they literally are charging for reusable masks in there. I would avoid this location all together.

Finally Gyms are back and this is not the exception. If you don’t like crowds you can go very early in the morning, or in the late night. You can workout only wearing a face covering which, at least for me was so difficult because trying doing cardio gets you very suffocated. So, I think it would be a better idea just do some weight lifting.

I love my Planet Fitness. The employees are so nice, and there is never any waiting to use the machines the hours I go. Its perfect. And the price is THE BEST!!! THANKS PF

Not worth it. At capacity 24 hours a day. Tried coming at different times and same results. Squat racks might as well not be there because they are always taken. All benches taken. Unless all you do is run on a treadmill or do calisthenics, spend $20 more and go to another gym otherwise you will be paying to stand around and watch other people stand around waiting to maybe use a piece of equipment.

It’s alright for the price. Not enough free weights to accommodate, but other than that, it’s pretty good bang for your your buck.

The staff is very nice and I like that its parking a lil close but at least you can park. All yuu have to do is pick a time for hat works for you. Everyone was cleaning the machine after they used it I like that.

Honestly one of the biggest planet fitness on the west side of LA. Some of my best work out were done here. Thank you Planet Fitness for finally opening in March 2021!

Of course during this whole pandemic I tried canceling my account but was told I had to get in contact with my home gym. Sadly this location was my home gym and since no one was working obviously I wasn’t able to get a response in time. I was trying to avoid getting charge and having to go in person. I am at high risk and did not feel comfortable going in person. WELL, they opened the day before I normally get charge and I called them that same day about canceling my membership and getting a refund since I was getting charged. One of the mangers told me I had to go in person or email but it would take them longer to cancel my membership or I can go in person for a faster process. As far as my refund I would need to email them. I informed her I have been trying to email them but no one will respond, she recommended to give them time. The next day I went in person to cancel and ask for a refund. My father was under my bank account as well and requested a refund for his membership as well. The manager was nice and informed me to continue emailing them because they were over loaded with refund request but they would get back to me eventually. They were only able to cancel my and father’s membership but not issue us our refund. She was really nice about the situation and even recommended me to email them two weeks later for a faster process for the refund. I contacted them multiple times however, today I finally decided to call and see what was the status or if I can get my refund processed. OF COURSE, now when I spoke to the manager I was told I couldn’t receive a refund and it was there policy they were no longer giving refunds. She was trying to be nice and issue me a refund for my account but request for my father’s account as well since it was under my bank account. They manager told me it’s there policy NOT to issue refunds she was just doing me the favor to issue one refund. I tried to explain that I had spoken to a manger in person and I was told differently. I also asked to speak with a supervisor but she stated she was the only manager at this location. She basically did not care and brushed me off ending the call. Like MANY reviews here I can agree they don’t care about you they only want your money. And don’t care how shady they are getting it. Now I am going through this whole process of having to go through my bank and open a claim. Why ? Because there isn’t a DAMN Corp number you can contact or anyone else if your home gym doesn’t feel like helping you then you’re screwed. This whole situation has been and is frustrating because I am being charged for something I tried preventing however they make you go circles so they can just take your money. I will never open another membership with this gym after this experience. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. WORST GYM.

What’s the point of PAYING the extra money for a black card if my guest can’t access all the same things I can in the gym? other franchises do not have this rule. pointless

Planet fitness is usually kept clean, there has been times with trash and empty water bottles were left on the floor. The staff tries to keep up with members that use the facility. Im usually there late night, attempting to avoid crowds during the day. But it can still get busy. Staff is nice as well.

Gym is always clean. Love that there’s a wide variety of machines. Staff is not too bad. It’s a 50/50. Some of them are super nice. Some are rude af.

This is my home gym and i was turned away from working out beause my guest didnt have identification. The night time staff are not refilling bottles and towel. I prefer to travel toward Century to use another gym.

This planet fitness is disgusting. People everywhere without any mask in sight (mask mandates have now been reinstated). No one enforcing or asking people to mask up. Dirty paper towels and bottle caps scattered all around the floors. Weights left out everywhere. Yuck. Do better.

Profoundly negative experience at this location. I came in search of a new gym home. Per the owners response 5 days ago to the reviewer George, offering a free day pass, I likewise requested mine. I was told by employee Steven that such passes are not available -- despite the owners words below -- and employee Angel very rudely told me that I was begging for a pass, which was profoundly insulting. Angel also wasnt wearing his mask, in violation of state, county, and city law.Furthermore, trainers are not available, despite the sites advertising falsely promising them. The staff claims its owing to the pandemic, but there is zero law against having a trainer -- and there are multiple laws against Angels insulting people while maskless -- so you can see how little they actually care about anything besides not providing a fundamental service that their clients have paid for.I made a 15.6 mile roundtrip from Santa Monica, only to *not* be able to try your gym, as you publicly promised, and to be insulted by your employee. Youre inviting a class-action suit when you lie multiple times in writing.Within 10 minutes, you turned me from an eager and hopeful potential lifetime member to a lifetime evangelist about the vileness of this Planet Fitness location. Unbelievably poor customer service and false advertising. Zero stars.

This location is terrible. Where do you begin, the equipment, the restrooms, the people, you choose… I came to this gym while I was staying in Los Angeles visiting family. I’m from Nebraska and the planet fitness in Bellevue is wayyyyyyy better than this one. The equipment is second hand equipment, the treadmills are lopsided. The restrooms are disgusting, the place doesn’t feel clean at all. One can tell that not enough money is being invested in this gym. The gym is always crowded, some people tend to hog up certain equipment for hours not allowing others to use it. It’s an old building, it smells, it’s dark inside, not a very inviting atmosphere.

I have not visited this place for about 2 years and they are still collecting $21.99 a month from me which I thought this should have been over in one year through the pandemic besides that I did not like the place all I needed was the exercise bike and everything I touch is greasy now I bought my own bike with this please stop deducting this money from my account thats all I have to say

Crowd meter is pointless in this location becuase it will always be high. The employees are incredibly friendly but the gym goers can sometimes tend not to be. One suggestion i have for the workers here is to set a place for people to line up for the chest press machines. The burbank location does this and it does help with people not fighting each other and accusing each other of cutting the line or falsely saying they waited longer than others for them.

Workers are friendly, That’s bout the only positive. The men’s locker room is always filthy, the weights are never re racked by guests or employees, and the only time it’s doesn’t seem to be packed is around midnight.

I just joined and paid Planet Fitness on Sherman Way and Vineland. But they did not let me in the club today because they said I owe the Pico club 200.00 to 300.00 dollars. So I told both clubs that Im going to talk to all my lawyers tomorrow about suing Planet Fitness. Obviously Planet Fitness sucks this way.

The staff is always welcoming. There are social distancing protocols in place. Its a smaller gym, but still have everything I need.

Planet fitness is on point in my opinion. So many cardio machines its like a dream come true. Everything is kept very clean and everyone wears there mask.

During the pandemic, I moved and transferred my membership to another Planet Fitness. When this planet fitness re-opened, they started charging me again anyway plus my annual dues. It didnt show up in my online account and it took corporate Planet Fitness weeks to figure out what was happening. It was all just the error of this location. I contacted them by phone and they said they could only help by email. Ive emailed and never heard back. I cant go in person because Ive moved. Its been weeks still, no refund. Its a lot of money at this point and ts not ok that they are stealing money from their customers.

WARNING: The most RUNDOWN bathrooms I’ve ever seen. It felt like I was showering in a prison.

I am so happy to be at planet fitness . very clean place. And nice coustemer service. But let me say some thing the line out side so hard last week I was waiting 50 minute On the sun and the next day I returned back home because I cant wait still hard to get in I do understand for safety, I dont know how it will easy for coustemer. That will be nice if you figure out.

Great gym very clean location will l always see staff cleaning and sanitizing . The staff is friendly and courteous and willing to help in anyway low key gym with a lot of equipment and they do not harass but address any and a situation in a fair manner amazing staff check them at my planet fitness favorite!

So they are likely charging you whether you remembered you had an account before the shutdown or not. As in you were charged the literal moment they opened. In order to cancel you have to go in person and depending on when, expect a wait. After canceling regardless of paying for the month you cant utilize the service anymore. My suggestion is cancel on the 9th of the month that way you get your money’s worth since they bill on the 10th. For those who are staying- the convenience of going when you need is no longer. The hours are changed and there are caps on the number of people who can enter so be mindful of the popular times because you’ll be in a line outside. Also no access to other amenities such as shower etc. So you’re stuck paying full price for literally a fourth of the services you had before.

I just wish it was bigger but it’s still a great place to come to.

It was good to be there again especially since they automatically started charging customers the monthly fees but they need to track the time slots for customers. You wait outside in a line to get in with no idea of what the wait time is going to be......

There is a line to go inside. Im number 18 and its hot outside. Also, people are coming out, but no one is allowed in yet.

Mens restroom is dirty .. toilet paper everywhere on the floor, sinks dirty . Hardly anyone cleans there machines after use . And it felt stuffy inside . Only good thing is theres a open machine in every section . Could be better if staff cleaned better . And better ventilation.

Love this place Im glad its finally open cleaner than other gyms I been too. Most of the people that go here are clean and staff keeps this place clean and sanitary.

I worked out at this location for about 2 years. It’s central LA so usually crowded, but nevertheless my experience was always positive.

A great gym for a great price, staff is friendly and helpful unlike the people at 24 Hour Fitness, which arent really 24 hour. Its actually fun and rewarding to workout here. They want you succeed and give you the tools and map to do so.

Basic Planet Fitness experience-- I go with goals and low expectations. I dont know why people cant smile more often...

Not only was this gym ALWAYS over crowded, but the method to cancel your membership is absurd. You have to either come directly into the gym or cancel via CERTIFIED mail. I understand taking privacy seriously, but if I can add someone to my cell phone plan easier than canceling my gym membership, something is wrong here. This policy needs to be revised as so many other gyms allow cancellation with convenience in mind.

Staff is terrible... Dont even acknowledge your presence entering or exiting club. Rarely clean and openly admitted to not sanitizing everything in the gym as they told eachother upon walking in. I know they are paid so far below poverty level and arent respected especially by their employer but come on. DO BETTER! Its shameful...

Does it really make sense to make people wait out side for 30 min to possibly an hour or more to go inside a gym?

The trainers are all super friendly and supportive. The workouts are different everyday, so each exercise goes by quick. The workout groups are nice and small; it feels like working out with a group of friends. I highly recommend

This is a good gym for not much money. A couple of issues — the front desk employees are a bit cold, and if you visit between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm, you’ll have to wait at least 15 minutes to park. It’s certainly crowded. But it’s a great value for the price.

Its affordable at $10/mo, mostly clean depending on the time of day. You got to understand it gets really busy during peak hours so sometimes staff cant keep up with all people coming in and also keeping the place spotless but they do a great job at it. Its a very easy way to get introduced to a gym and a better lifestyle. If you are just a beginner go here then you can go to more expensive gyms that have better selection of free weights and machines once you get the hang of what youre doing.
