As an overseas client, I found out about this company through a Google search. After browsing the website and reading the reviews, I decided to send my failed SSD to them for repair. I made a silly mistake and overloaded the circuit board on my external hard drive, destroying the internal electronics. Researched a couple data recovery companies and decided on Platinum Data Recovery. They had great reviews and could do all the same things other big name data recovery places can do. I got quotes from multiple companies with Platinum Data Recovery being the cheapest. I got a quick response from Adam and as I expected their diagnosis was the same as mine, the internals were toast and theyd need to recover the data by removing the disk in the clean room. When I got the final price to do this recovery it was just barely more expensive than the lowest quote the other place gave me which was awesome! About 7 days later, it looks like theyve been able to recover 100% of my data. Before you get your drive back they send you a file that shows every folder and file name as well as size so you can quickly determine how much of your data they were able to recover. They also send you a list of files that have errors or may not have been recovered. I havent gone through every little piece of data yet but Im confident its all there and will definitely do a better job backing up my data in the future.Thanks guys!

Our PC crashed almost 3 years ago, and I didnt think much of it because I had paid for a back-up service. I am very happy with Platinum Data Recovery.What happened was that I partition my hard drive of my Windows computer. Which means that I split up the hard drive into 2 parts. One part was for the operating system and software. The other part was just for my files. My computer had been down since last summer. I honestly did not know what was wrong with it and I use my work computer at home, so I did not miss it until recently. I too, really had no idea this service even existed.Unreal and staggering to me that it appears as though everything was recovered!This was not cheap, so I highly recommend that you CONSTANTLY back up your data. This all occurred to me as a result of a blip in power last summer. But to hear the engineers explanation, it sounded like my hard drive went through WWIII. To further add to the irony, I work for the utility that caused the power blip.This is the first review I have ever written, but did so because of the outstanding customer service and recovery of data. Without question, you need your hard drive data...call Platinum Data Recovery.

When I dropped my external hard drive I thought it wouldnt be a big deal to get it fixed. I took it to two different places where neither could get it to work. Dear all ! before I start highly recommend you back up your valuable data. My back up hard drive crashed and all my business information were lost. I was shocked.. what to do? I found platinum data recovery company and dropped off my drive to get the data back! Since it was an emergency I paid for expedited data recovery services. They got my data back by the next morning. These guys are great, relatively quick and compared to the competition, they are cheap too! For the same job at another location in downtown LA, they were going to charge $2500 for the same job. I paid around $1400 for these guys to recover all the files on my broken drive. I recommend them highly!

Platinum Recovery is a great data recovery place. I recommend trusting them if you have something very important to recover because they may be a bit expensive, but they do such a high quality wonderful job. I went to 4 different places that all said they couldnt recover my data before I went to the Platinum and these experts did it! They have real skills and actually care about helping you - for me they even put in extra hours - more than they originally allotted for my item and didnt charge me anything extra for it because they cared. They also made it really easy to get the recovered data. When I couldnt make it back to the store, they offered to mail it to me for free and set up a remote session for me to see the recovered data before I paid and they sent it. They did everything through email so I didnt have to drive over to the West LA. It was great and easy. Really I am so surprised to find a company that was this helpful, caring and with excellent experience and customer service!

Fantastic company that managed to recover holiday pictures I had deleted accidentally from an SD card. We were still on holiday at the time, and I turned up at Platinum Data Recovery (after reading a brilliant recommendation on the internet) without an appointment, and they saw me immediately. Platinum Data helped recover data from our damaged external hard drive! Im not sure how the hard drive became damaged but I was unable to read or write from it. We had some invaluable data like photos and other important docs that we really couldnt lose. Platinum data was able to recover 95% of our data. The loss data was due to bad sectors. My wifes hard-drive betrayed us and stopped working. Location is bizarre, but hey its LA. Everything else was spot on - great customer service, very prompt. It was expensive for me, but I do believe that to be an accurate representation of the cost of the recovery. I will absolutely go there again (but hopefully I dont need to). You should go.

I experienced a short power outage that completely fried my hard drive. Unfortunately I had not backed it up in two years, so thankfully I was referred to Platinum Data Recovery. I dropped off my defective drive along with a new hard drive to which to transfer the files. It took them a couple of weeks, but they were able to restore over 90% of my files. Its pricey... Lesson learned in backing up my files regularly. I would recommend Platinum Data Recovery and am happy with the results and my dealings with the staff.

I call just estimate for my external hard drive, the guy tell me the price and I told him I can see my files and can transfer it but it takes time for it so for you you guys make it so fast, than I asked the price he said it starts min $300-$1400 and up ....????I told him again its not totally gone, I can see and transfer each of my file but it takes time, it should be hard for you to just transfer my file to my new hard drive and it should be that much expensive.His answer go do by yourself than ....what the f... is that ? What kind of customer services is it, even if I did not give my hard-disk to them and they are rude and not friendly .I dont recommend this place ...

Like I said on the phone, I just want to kiss all of your faces!!!! You have no idea how amazing you all are!!!! I just want to explain so everyone can see exactly how amazing you guys are! I was awesome and dropped my external hard drive (Sarcasm)! I was sure there was nothing that could be done! I cried for days on end.... It was miserable! I was given an 80-90% chance of recovery! The odds looked good, but Im one of those people that end up in that 10-20% that arent good. Well I was notified that they werent able to recover them at first try. They luckily were nice enough to try a second time! OMG they recovered all of my beautiful photos! I had 5 years worth of images on that hard drive! I am a photographer, so for other fellow photographers you can understand how devastating that could possibly be! Platinum Data Recovery, Adam, and David are AMAZING! These guys are the real deal as they recovered 1200 files from my destroyed SD Card. And when I mean destroyed, I mean I broke the card in half and severed the connections. The chip wasnt damaged, so they were able to do their magic. I got referred here after $300 data recovery couldnt recover the data on a 1TB Western Digital Drive.
