After spilling water across my keyboard, this place fixed my laptop within 3 days. It was such a dumb accident and Macs are not at all water resistant so all things considering, I felt like $500 for a couple of new parts (keyboard and logic board I think) + labor was more than fair. They also returned it to me with a keyboard dust cover for longevity of my Mac and that little detail was what made me come here to leave the review. Would definitely come here again.

Ive gone to MacPro-LA many times. They are always incredibly helpful. Way more helpful than the genius at the Mac store tbh. The turn around time is waaaaaaaaaay faster too. Ive also bought a refurbished macbook pro from them and they are more interested in selling me what will work for me rather than upselling to me. Im glad this place is around the corner from me.

Twice, MacPro-LA has done it!!! No sales hype, total skill and swift, swift service.!! This is such a treasure for anything Mac!! I was freaked out by the coffee i spilled on my laptop. I had to lead a Zoom class to Japan in the evening and somehow these guys got it fixed before! Miracles do happen! They are tech-gods! :)

So far, good price and service. Im onto the second week of the month rental and my life is much easier with the fast Mac computer. The owner could have been a little bit more prepared to have the proper operating system to run my needs but he was facilitating and made it happen for me to test my project right then and there on site to make sure it worked for me overall Id come back again.

My machine broke, I was under a deadline, walked out with one less than 20 minutes. Today my machine wouldnt boot, they said bring it immediately, within one hour they told me it was working fine. I took in a six year old laptop that was totally in-operational. They fixed it up for me at a reasonable price. Their service was very quick and helpful. I received it back in excellent working condition, all the data that was on the drive intact. After I had been using it for about a month, I updated the operating system. I made a mistake and skipped a couple of versions, causing the computer to crash. I took it in to Mac Pro and then reset it, and then upgraded the operating system all the way to the most current version, no charge. I Im glad we have these guys in town. Great service!

I do not recommend it at all, apparently the people in this store seek to take advantage of their customers. I made the purchase of a laptop by means of a credit that was approved by Acima, what happened was that the manager of the store wanted me to affirm that I had already received the laptop without them even having sent it, which makes us doubt this store, it could be a scam.*As of today, I have not received any type of news from them nor a refund for the $70 I paid for a credit application. be very careful and do not be surprised.

NIGHTMARE!!Faulty machines, amateur tech service and uncaring customer serviceMacPro LA sold me a faulty machine that they replaced with another failing machine. They had me reinstall the operating system and all 20+ pieces of software I use daily 3 times before accurately diagnosing the first problem. Then they replaced the machine and the second problem culminated in the new computer crashing DEAD in the middle of a high pressure, time sensitive job. This all cost me weeks of time, many trips across town to their shop, and caused over a month delay in my work. As an independent Music Producer and Photographer, using their machines has jeopardized my relations with several clients, caused untold headaches and cost me A LOT money.When I brought my monetary loss to the owner’s attention he responded “we can’t take responsibility for that”. He offered to replace the machine with an equal machine (which I can only imagine would fail me again) or upgrade me to something better at the full retail value. Cool. Thankfully I got a refund, but even that, I can’t say they did right by me as I had originally traded a machine in way under value and paid $200 more than other local Mac specialists were charging for the same set up. What can I say… I was hoping to support my local business. Sad.Now they have three machines with my data on them, haven’t provided me with confirmation of erasing it as promised and won’t return my phone calls. That’s MacProLA customer service.The owner’s parting words to me were “I hope you don’t think we sell bad machines”, but that is exactly what my experience has shown… they sell bad machines and don’t take responsibility for the consequence to their customer.This is all just a summation. My frustrations would fill several pages. If you need a solid machine, DO NOT TRUST THEIR WORK.I wound up doin exactly what I hoped to avoid… going to the Apple Store and dropping the $5K+ on a new machine and all the adapters needed.I hope this helps someone.Jason

Set me up with the exact same 2013 retina macbook pro machine I had and transferred my flash drive.. I was able to get back to work the same day. I believe the prices to be fair with the support that offer for their machines, it is a safer bet than a craigslist purchase for sure.

They did a fantastic job in our space, the floors were perfectly clean as well as the base boards. All the mirrors looked brand new and they even went around and cleaned all the walls. Fantastic company and will use them again

Tried to play hardball on a trade-in.I brought in my 2012 Macbook Pro and told the owner, Ray, I was looking to trade it in and buy a newer laptop from him, and the first thing he said was, How much do you want for it? (First warning bell.)I countered with, What do you usually offer?His response: Well, we dont want this. (Second warning bell.)I said, Okay, and started to put the computer back in my bag and he said, What are you doing? I replied, You just told me you dont want it.His reply: Well, itll depend on what you want to buy. (Third and final warning bell.)Translation: I want to pay next to nothing for your computer while trying to convince you Im giving you a deal.Pass.Ill take the $2000-plus I was going to spend and give it to someone who doesnt take his playbook from used car dealers.

I have an old MacBook pro and discovered these guys via Yelp. I was resigned to buying a used / refurbished machine as it seemed my laptop was dead. Rather than taking my money and making more, they simply fixed my machine, saving me $1000s. Ive been back twice, as various older parts gave out, and for less than half what a new machine has cost they have my old one working better than it did when I bought it. Theyll always tell if you if Apple has a recall (in other words will fix something for free) which they did when my logic board failed recently, a kindness that saved me $600 instantly. Go here before you glamoured into a pointless and expensive upgrade you dont need - to a machine with no CD player, DVD burner or flash drive!

Absolutely amazing. My somewhat ancient Imac tabletop was acting up. I took it to my usual repair people who said they couldn’t work on it because the machine was too old. They referred me to MacPro-LA in Hollywood. These people were amazing. Not only are the expert at what they do, they take pride in their work. They are very friendly, clear and explain everything as they go along. Overall, excellent customer service! Just got home from picking up my updated Mac (with a newly installed SSD) and it’s working perfectly and beautifully. And as promised, running faster than it was before. I can’t recommend this establish enough!!!

They may need to teach their staff better. The guy I talked to seemed not very knowledgeable but was nice and really tried to help.

Update: I have called multiple times and left messages. No one ever calls back. Left with no choice but to report to the BBB.Update: although the guy was nice enough...this placed fixed my burned out video port, but didnt bother to plug my optical drive back in after servicing. Also this guy doesnt know how to properly torque screws on the MacBook-- I discovered they were overly tight and some stripped on the way back out. Worse, the left speaker is now acting blown. I was able to finish the service and plug the drive back in, but thats completely unacceptable service. So-if you want more broken components and you want to have to open your computer back up to complete the job you paid for, then take your Apple products here. Otherwise...Stay away!!!!!!

MacPro LA is a lifesaver! My 2016 MacBook Pros logic board fried in the midst of a Time Machine backup, and the tech at the third-party repair place offering a same-day appointment through Apple.com told me that theyd have to replace the logic board/hard drive and all my data was 95% likely to be unrecoverable, even via a data-recovery service (for a large fee regardless of whether they recovered anything, he said).So while they were waiting for the new board to arrive I went ahead and took my computer back and brought it to MacPro LA, who saw me same-day without an appointment. They let me know the next business day that not only was all my data completely fine and recoverable, but they could also repair the logic board instead of replacing it -- all for the same price as the other place (that would have lost all my data). And they had the work done in three business days.Vivian and Ray have completely earned my trust and loyalty -- Ill never take my Mac anywhere else. Thanks, guys!
