I have so many great things to say about this place! First time customer, I go there, everyone is treating me with respect! I explain the situation of my car and this gentleman starts breaking down what might me wrong with the car. It made me feel like I was listening to a friend, not even afraid he’s gonna try to boost up the price or rob me. He gave me an estimated price and an ETA on the repairs which are right in the dot, didn’t have to wait any extra time. I felt very safe and confident in now proud to call my friend! Before I paid we went through a receipt paper which had everything from A to Z that was done to my car plus labour and I was very satisfied. They’re very professional and for a young lady like myself I felt very secure and confident about the decision of coming to this auto repair shop. I will definitely go back, my car is like new, it got test driven before it was handed to me as I said they’re very professional and incredibly amazing people. I recommend this place 100% and I am pretty sure you will have the same experience as mine if not even more pleasant! Great job guys, keep it up and stay safe.

My experience at Mr. Kool’s Automotive has been exceptional! THEE BEST! HANDS DOWN!  What a professional operation this is. The attitude and ethics of employees often reflect those of management and this is obviously the case here.  The General Manager is actually there on the shop floor answering phones, cleaning up, and working alongside his employees. Their crew & customer service is OUTSTANDING! They have what most people look for in an auto repair shop: expertise, reliability, and trustworthiness. And being a woman it is extremely important to find someone (a mechanic) to trust. :)You may pay a little more than your average street mechanic but as is often the case in life, you get what you pay for.I’m well pleased with their service all around. All though very nice they lied to me about my vehicle aswell as that i payed 120 for diagnostic they kept my car over night and gave me maybe answers and wrong info on my car then tried get me to pay for stuff i dont need lied about my car overheating while idling ive never had that issue and then you guys gave me a poor excuse why you cant give psi test on my radiator these guys are professional scammers and I know you know who i am

My maintenance light decided to activate right when we drove into SF after spending the weekend in LA. So the next day, drove down to the local toyota shop and ask if I could bring it in. The nice lady behind the counter informed me that they accept cars from 10am to 2pm, every half hour. So we made an appointment for the next day at 11am.

I had to replace my radiator. I thought the problem was fixed but not even 5 Miles form the shop my car overheated. I will not recommend.

I have been doing business with Mr. Kools automotive for over 15 years. I have not had any issues where I had to return my car to be reserved for the issue that was fixed. I love that the majority of the technicians are the same ones that were there before I began doing business, when I started, and now. Mr. Kools staff is positive, courteous, professional, and get right to business. I have been provided with exact details of what repairs need to be done in order for my vehicle to operate at its greatest. If I could give more stars I would. I was lucky enough to find this diamond in the rough. I had an emergency where the brakes on my service truck were ridiculously beyond bad and needed literally immediate action because brake fluid was pouring out of one of the back Dulley calipers, and I found these guys on google. Listen to the high reviews on yelp and google because they are correct.Luis and Rene went above and beyond to get me back on the road same day. They found the parts needed, and put me ahead of others purely because they knew I was in trouble and they are great people. Some of the parts took a while to get which is literally no fault of their own, but I only tell you this because these guys stayed after hours, off the clock to finish the truck for me. They don’t even know me, and they did this. I’m not in LA much, but I’m telling you that if I’m EVER in that neck of the woods again and need work done I won’t go anywhere else.On top of that, the service ended up being more in depth than they expected and Luis stuck to his original quote which shows more character than i can express. If anyone i know in the area needs service I’ll refer them for as long as they’re in business, which is hopefully forever. Thanks guys, can’t thank you enough!!

I was in and out in 30 minutes top. Forgot the bigger fellas name, but super nice, walked up and greets himself before I can even put down my window all the way haha. DO NOT STEP INTO THIS SHOP!!Overpriced shop! They charge as if they were the dealer. I took my car because the engine was vibrating too much. Charged me $1000. A week later the car was back to the vibrating problem. I went back to talk to your manager and he told me he couldn’t do anything. I took it to another shop and they charged me $200 to fix it, it ended up being the tensioner.DO NOT GO HERE!!They try to reply to the bad reviews and act like they’re “good people”. Trust me DO NOT GO HERE. They’re scums. And I’m not reviewing the wrong shop. This review is for Mr. Kools auto 5836 s Hoover st. Los Angeles, CA.

Dont go here I just went to this guy and he quoted me $200 more then the other guys on Manchester. These guys are Crooks and theyre trying to get rich off of every person that comes in.
