While on a trip to San Francisco my left headlight went out. I went to two repair shops up there and either was able to get the right bulb, finally went to a local Lexus dealer and even with them they could not replace a part (controller) in a timely fashion, so I came home still without a light. My wife uses Carotech for her Subaru, and is a satisfied customer so I tried them. Dropped off the car and the work was done the following day at a reasonable charge. I would recommend them very highly to anyone with a Lexus or Subaru - our experiences have been great

Car trouble when traveling can easily become a nightmare - or it can end up a blessing when you find a good, honest business like this. I have never been to this shop before and I was searching for a reputable shop. I searched on line and ran across Carotech and read the many positive reviews so I called them and spoke with Gary. He sounded professional and accommodating so I took my mustang in to be checked out for problems in the rear differential, while checking out the differential they found two other problems and they sent me a video of them and asked if I wanted them repaired also, I said yes so after fixing those they checked out the differential and found that it was bad as I suspected. Gary called me and told me what they had found and gave me an approximate price to repair it with a used one or to rebuild mine which is what I wanted and said they would need the car several days because they had to order parts. When I went to pick up my car I found it washed n clean plastic seat covers plastic steering wheel cover and protective floor covering.Gary the head guy who is really a nice guy told me he wanted me to drive the car and he would go with me to make sure everything was ok, which it was. I would highly recommend Carotech for their performance and for Gary’s personal treatment to me and I will personally return there for any future work on my mustang.

Good customer service. Car didnt get repaired after 5 days and didnt get a diagnosis. I picked it up and dropped it off to another repair shop. Gary did give me a free oil change but that isnt the issue.

This is most certainly my new go to place for my car. I am not at all knowledgeable about cars but I feel 100 percent comfortable with Carotech as their service is impeccable. Ok so I know this will sound fake, but I have maybe posted one other review for services. But Gary and his team at Autotech were great and deserving of a call when you are looking for auto repair service. Gary was on point with his communication with us and was a straight shooter when it came to the repairs needed. Our Prius is driving beautifully and we will definitely be returning for service the next time we need it.

The owner, Gary, is very professional, and the work provided by his mechanic has been great so far.I had my car towed in because it wouldn’t start.Gary had his mechanic inspect the car, and in a couple of hours after leaving the shop I received a phone call from Gary with a concise explanation about the problem, quote, and ETA.I requested some time to do some research and think about whether to proceed with the repairs and he gracefully waited for my decision. I called him several times to ask questions about the repair and cost and he cooly explained things I needed to know.I had the starter and brakes replaced and rotors resurfaced. After detailed inspections performed, they provide a detailed review on the status of the car. The staffs were professional and kindly answered every single question I asked. The price is chaper than service center in dealer shops and maybe more expensive than other personal repair shops. Of course I will use this place again.

I just discovered this repair shop and am so glad that I did. I will certainly be going back in the future. I spoke to Gary on the phone, who was super helpful and straightforward. Scheduled an appointment for a full service oil change which includes tire rotation. Aside from just all around wonderful service, you receive text and email updates on your cars progress with pictures. Its very transparent and helpful. Carotech was very efficient and reasonably priced! Car was making a ringing noise for months while going over bumps...took it to my mechanic who charged me way to much for a temporary fix that only lasted a few weeks. After that I took it to Carotech as the noise just got worse and worse. From the Google reviews I knew I could trust them and they met my expectations, and returned my car all washed looking like new. Carotech will be my go-to mechanic going forward! So happy to have my ride back in 100% working order.

What shall I say more than what is already siad in Gary and his team!!! They are just as amazing and honest as I have never dealt with any like that before for my car. Gary is a nice, respectable and a friendly guy that took me easily through every little step with my Altima. He called me after the initial inspection to stand on the issues and asked me to come on-site to show me everything he pointed out that needed real attention. He never sells you anything you will not need URGENTLY. He cares for your car as if it is his own and really cares for your -and others- safety on road! Unfortunately my car did require quite a bunch of stuff to he done! He gave me a really fair price (despite Im still complaining of it :-D) ... but no kidding it is very fair for the amount of job he did and I bet it is very reasonable compared to other auto shops...add to that his HONESTY which I really have to highlight. Im back on the asphalt today after 4 days of work on my car. I love how my car drives now and really appreciate the work Gary and his team did. My breaks were done here. I noticed a strange sound, brought my car back and was told nothing was wrong. I noticed the sound becoming more frequent and it became a grinding noise. I was told by another person it could be that the rotors were not resurfaced or bad parts were used. Currently my car is being fixed again, will update. Update: rotors were replaced, such a huge difference. A special thanks for explaining ways to keep my car running smooth longer. Hopefully no more issues in the near future.

I bought a used car, and I wanted to get a second opinion about the status of the car. They let me come in right away and immediately got to work checking my vehicle. When smoke began billowing out from under my hood the day after picking up my car from the previous mechanic, all confidence and trust vanished. Needing to do something with my car, I tried a different tactic and decided to look for a AAA certified mechanic instead; thus, coming upon Carotech.Garys crew identified previous repairs needing to be redone, in addition to others I hadnt been made aware of. But Garys level-headed and calm demeanor allayed my fears, re-instilled some trust and helped me make a confident, informed decision whether to repair my car or get a new one. Ill let you be the judge on this one This was my 1st time here.I took my car in for a diagnostic it was $125 plus your repair cost OK.Usually shops waive the diagnostic fee if there gonna perform the repairs.Then about 4 days later they told me it was my driveshaft and motor mounts.They told me it would be $1178 just to put on the motor mounts. That didnt include the drive shaft .I went online to check the motor mount price .I could not find anyone online selling the mounts for more than $100 he charged me $299 for the mounts WOW.He then told me he found a drive shaft for $875 .I went online found complete driveshaft at Rockauto for $450 and had it delivered to his shop.I just got my car back after about 9days later.The car runs good but after spending about $1600 .There are shops that will do the same work for less cost SHOP AROUND. If you like paying high prices for work this is the place for you.Dont know if Ill go back here doubt it.They RIP me off on parts and labor.Take your own parts if you go then they probably only will screw you on labor.By the way the car is only a 2009 Cadillac cts. YOU BE THE JUDGE ON THIS ONE.

I had taken my Prius to the Toyota dealership because it was acting weird upon startup and seemed like the computer was glitching, but they couldn’t find anything wrong...but Carotech figured out the problem and replaced my 12v battery faster than I expected l...they even washed the interior and exterior of my car! So glad I found them in my neighborhood

The Dealer wanted $2000 to replace the fuel injectors. Carotech said the fuel system just needed to be cleaned out. They did the job for $500. The car is fixed. If you are looking for an honest mechanic who knows what he is doing and does great work Carotech is the place

I drove all the way to CA from FL with a junk car that somehow survived the trip. Shortly after, it overheated, and I was left in a new city with a dead engine. Gary and the awesome mechanics here were super nice and very helpful, spending their time trying to find me the best deal to replace my shot engine on a car I have not wanted to part. While sadly it’s not worth keeping my old car, I will definitely be back for my automotive needs. The people at Carotech were extremely kind and helpful during my time of need, and that is not something I take lightly.

A+++++. My jeep grand Cherokee popped a tire on the road. I read rave reviews about Carotech and Gary so I brought it in for the first time. They did a deep inspection and discovered major issues with my beloved truck. The engine was ticking and making noises because I had been driving on low oil, there were exhaust leaks and other serious problems. Gary and his team were extremely knowledgeable and professional. Gary insisted I come in to see the leaks and issues for myself and he and his team spent half an hour taking me under the car and showing me everything in person. I saw the damage in my vehicle. Gary made sure that all week the team sent photos to my phone so I could see the work needed and what was being done. Ive never had a mechanic so good at communicating with me about my vehicle. Gary didnt try to upsell me. He did the work my truck needed and always answered my phone calls. Incredibly courteous and professional. The truck was done when he said it would be. And when I picked it up, it was detailed and washed inside and out. Furthermore he repaired it so well that the truck purrs like a kitten now and I am noticing the increase in power and propulsion. Its like Im driving a new vehicle. I will DEFINITELY be bringing my truck and all future vehicles to Gary at Carotech Automotive. Honest, reliable, professional, and knowledgeable. I brought my Mazda 3 to the dealer for a routine oil change. I was informed by the dealer that my car needed $2000+ in repair which included brake pad change, brake fluid exchange, and leaking struts. I ended up not getting the repairs at the dealer except for what I went there for, but I also still ended up paying for the diagnostic which was $150 or so. I looked up reputable independent auto shops around my area which had great reviews and I ended up going with Carotech. I brought my car in and the paperwork provided by Mazda with the repairs they said I needed. Gary was more than helpful. They ended up fixing my car for much less than what the dealer was asking for and my car has been driving great. Fast forward a week later our other car, a Hyundai, started acting up. I brought my car back to Carotech because of my wonderful experience the first time. Gary was there again to help me. I left my car with him and about 30 minutes later he called me and said the only issue I had was that the front tires were loose! This car was recently at the dealer and I guess they did not do a great job securing the tires! The best part of it all Gary did not charge me anything. They could have easily charged for a diagnostic fee, but they didnt. Talk about an honest business. I am so glad to find an honest auto shop and I look forward to having our cars serviced at Carotech in the future. Thanks again Gary and crew. Dont hesitate to bring your car here.

Im almost hesitant to give 4 stars because then everyone will find out about this place and Ill never get in to see Robert! Carotech Automotive Care is the absolute best. Robert is honest, knowledgeable, and gets the job done right every time. I trust him completely with my car, and have for years. This ones a gem!

Wow! I am so impressed! I took my car to my car dealer who wanted to charge me over $2000 in repairs. I wanted a second opinion so I discovered Carotech and took my car for an inspection. Guess what! I did not need all the work the dealer said my car needed. Instead the thorough inspection by Carotech indicated a few items that had been overlooked and I walked away with reasonable repairs and a feeling of being respected. I now have an honest car repair facility and am oh so grateful!

Im not sure why some would speak negatively about this company and its manager/owner. Carotech Automotive gives the best customer service hands down. Their prices are affordable and the service is exceptional. Gary is very kind and helpful. Juan Carlos is great Technician and goes over and beyond to make you feel comfortable with the work done on your vehicle. You should definitely give them some consideration for your vehicle repairs!

I cannot say enough good things about Carotech Automotive. My brakes were squeaky so I knew I needed them replaced. I stopped by to get a quote on brake pad replacement and was greeted by Gary. He took my info and told me he would call soon with a quote. Within the hour, I got text messages and emails with the details of what my car needed. He followed up shortly after the messages with the quote, which was significantly less than what I thought I would have to pay (he also gave me a discount for mentioning that I found his shop on Yelp!). When I returned in the afternoon to pick up my car (very short turnaround time), Gary explained everything the mechanics did in detail, showed me my used brake pads and mentioned what services I would eventually need (NOTE: He didnt pressure me into additional services, HUGE plus there). On top of the great service, they cleaned in interior and exterior of my car and detailed the engine... for no additional charge. Amazing.Overall, it was the easiest and most convenient experience. I will be returning here for all my auto services.

It is 10 years since I moved to LA, and I finally found a great mechanic. For a town where cars are a necessity, I was unhappy about mechanics until I found Carotech - right the the corner of Shenandoah and Pico. Gary K. is a terrific guy and Ive found him to be both expert in the field and very straightforward and trustworthy. Carotech (and Gary) have my highest recommendation. Great service. Good rates. Clear communication. Im really happy to have found a great repair shop in LA!

Finding a good mechanic is always an adventure! I took my car to several places before settling on carotech. The service was quick, update you via text and email which is nice, and most importantly, honest! They quoted me much higher than what I was charged BC they realized a certain part was not needed. They also washed / cleaned the inside and engine free of charge. Highly recommend!
