I just moved in a week ago and I love it here. Everyone (staff and residents) are SO nice! I was pleasantly surprised. I just moved from the Bay Area (Oakland) so I didn’t know what to expect. The staff is very professional and prompt with their responses, and I appreciate the property wide notification emails. The property itself is BEAUTIFUL with lots of places to relax, it’s quiet and peaceful, a diverse community of residents which I like, there’s two pools, a gym, controlled access, free parking, guest parking and I love my apartment. The layout is so cute and it’s a good size with LOTS of storage which is a major plus for me. I feel very blessed to have found this place. I plan to stay for a while.
I don’t think an explanation of my experience is necessary, but all of the reviews that state the real issues with this place are legitimate, and they do not stop there. If you are looking at this complex or any of the other places offered by this company, please learn and know your rights as a renter, their rights as a rental company, and brush up on the state’s laws for renters, etc. Trust me. I wish I had done more homework before moving in here. Read all of the fine print and take a really close look at everything before you rent with this complex.
Used to be very good. Lately, the management is unresponsive to requests for repairs and they took away all the pool furniture so you have to lie on cement or buy your own chair. Security is lax and there is rarely someone in the management office. I loved it here not so much anymore
DONT EXPECT TO RECEIVE YOUR DEPOSIT. I moved out in april 2021 and just got my security deposit. Although the apartment was perfect in the move-out inspection, they still charge you $300+ (cleaning fee + other extra charge). We even cleaned everything before we move out, and they said everything is perfect.
Our maintenance guy is delightful! not only fixing things super fast but also gave us tips on hanging things on drywall ceilings and how to mount things on the wall safely!
Longtime resident. We had mold in a bathroom due to a leak from the floor above. Management needed to fix the problem. They projected the work would take 1 week but took 2 weeks. That was 2 weeks of machinery in the apartment and no access to the bathroom. We were supposed to be reimbursed for the time without a bathroom and the electric bill which doubled from the previous year. I was assured by the maintenance supervisor I would have a rent reduction to compensate for the time without a bathroom. No reduction for next couple months. I visited the office. The associate told me it needed to be approved through the manager. I received an email address to use. I emailed the manager with no response. I contacted the office again. They said they would notify the manager. Again, no response. Eventually, I did get things settled.
Staffs in the office are very nice and helpful.Love my apartment and the neighborhood. The only problem it’s to get our packages. Like furniture or heavy items, it’s very inconvenient to get accès to it. I mean to walk like 1 mile and with stairs.
They tell you one price when viewing the building and then charge you a higher price every month. Complaints are not responded to. Sediment leaks on and damages your car. They charge you for services they do not provide. All positive reviews are likely falsified. Do not believe their lies.
I love it here, clean, friendly staff, my apartment is really nice, the amenities are great, the special is great (price wise ) quiet building, 5 stars
I hope I can give 0 star. I rented this place online without coming in person, since I had to move to CA from another State. I wont recommend anyone to move in here.-1 star --- Insects are everywhere in apartment (spiders, fly, mosquito)-1 star --- paper thin walls, you can hear everything that your neighbour is doing and talking. And hopefully your neighbour doesnt play instruments like mine.-1 star --- 0 daylighting and high moisture, most of apartments have no sunlight, and the 6th floor in their community is actually the lobby. 4th and 5th floors are actually basement. 70% moisture daily, you can expect $400+ heat charge every bill.-1 star --- apartment quality, the roof is only 7 feet high and all furnitures are old. Dont trust any of the pictures. Please come to see it in person!-1 star --- package management. The parcel locker is never used correctly, if you go check the locker location, most of the packages are left outside around everywhere. You will spend 20min to find yours every time. And you can expect losing them periodically.Generally, you can find better quality place with the same amount of rent. I highly recommend you to choose here.
Good: the pool areas are run well. Theyre pretty clean and are heated to good temperatures throughout the year. Good patio furniture. Nice common areas in general.Bad:-The laundry room is a disaster. There are mostly front-loading washers which are really bad. There are only a few top-loading washers, and usually a third of them are broken so everyones competing for a VERY small number of functional machines. Many of the dryers dont work right either. The chance of me going to the laundry room and actually being able to do my laundry without problems is around 25%.-There have been a lot of car break-ins in the garage, which is supposed to be secured. My friends in the building had their window smashed and car burgled, and they had to pay for everything out of pocket (home insurance, car insurance, and Woodcliff all refused to pay)-The units themselves are old and poorly maintained. So many things have broken. The cabinets have been repainted so many times that they dont close right. Our heater never worked properly. Once our sink flooded dirty water into our kitchen, and the plumber didnt show up to help us for 6 hours.
Woodcliff is a great place to live. Friendly neighbors, excellent part of town, convenient to everything, awesome views from the units, and two pools! I love it here!
Our car was broken into and robbed from within the gated parking garage, after a previous robbery attempt that led to all the garage openers being changed. For a short time there was additional security but that has since gone away hence the opportunity for our car to be burglarized. We have notified management three times with zero response. We will be moving out at the end of next month. Would strongly recommend you to look elsewhere and avoid all Moss & Company properties generally as well as Woodcliff specifically.
I have lived here a long time .I don’t even want to say how long.I like my apartment but I get zero upgrade .I have been here so very long .I’d like my appliances to be changed such as cooker or at least new blinds but I’m afraid to ask because I’m sure I will be told no.I did send an e mail to woodcliffe asking how much to move to an upgraded apartment but I got no reply .I still have carpets which I hate.I can take the carpets if I could at least get a new cooker and blinds and possibly fridge but I won’t hold my breath
Overall we enjoyed our time at Woodcliff, but by the end we were ready for an upgrade. Things we liked included unit updates/initial move-in price point, pretty grounds, the pools and maintenance response times. Things we didnt like were the slow elevators, no laundry in-units, noise from upstairs, and dingy carpeted hallways. We also didnt appreciate the 4% increase when we were told 3% would be the max with rent control. The rent was not worth it by the time we moved out as the building was not improving at the rate of yearly rent increases.
I lived there for a little over a month. Had to break my lease and have the hassel of hiring an attorney. Im glad I know my rights thank 🙏 .
Lots of cockroaches. Horrible plumbing. You can easily see how bad it is if you look at the ceiling of the upper parking garage: its a maze of pipes with metal panels catching drips. Water and sewage drip onto cars and people. My apartment and my neighbors apartments flooded multiple times. Management never even apologized for it.
Overall it’s a just OK place to live. It could be cleaner, the carpets in the hallway have plenty of stains on them.Additionally, if you prefer to live in a place where the staff is on top of things, don’t choose Woodcliff. There were multiple instances when I emailed their office and never got a response. So basically if you have an issue with something, they are not there to help you. Also, If you want to get ahold of them when you call - always choose “future resident” because they never answer from current residents.
Unprofessional managements. You don’t want to be in my place and live in Woodcliff apartments. Believe me it’s very bad, cannot be worse.
A great apartment community that is beautifully cared for. The office is responsive, the people are great. Weve lived here for six years and recently moved into a larger apartment in the complex. The office gave us extra time to move in, which was a great help.We enjoy the amenities, and plan to stay for a long time.Highly recommend Woodcliff!
Bad management and bad maintenance crew.
Best place ever I moved in
Pretty good moving in experience! Location is good and Parcel pending is convenient. Fair rate. Nice fit for a college student. However I had a not-so-good experience today regarding to the renovation construction happening in the unit upstairs. I know that the construction is going to happen and called the office wishing to know their working schedule & when it is going to finish to see what we can do about it (AFTER ALL, I dont mean to stop the construction at all), but I was treated terribly by a staff from the leasing office, interrupting me several times during the phone call to say it is going to happen anyway, ignoring my request to speak to maintenance manager until I repeated it for four times, and showing a discriminative attitude to me for not speaking fluent English (Im not a native speaker).Sarcastically this staff was the one that helped me move in and he was nice during the housing application and lease signing process....Fortunately I finally got a chance to speak to the maintenance manager and got to know that the noise will stop by next week, but that staff... emmm... super rude. I would say its really not a proper way of treating your residents.
Lived there for 2 years. Great property!
PROS: Location and rent control. Due to the latter I had to live there for nearly 6 years until we could afford to move out.CONS: Extra rude staff, with few exceptions. Fortunately for prospective renters, you would not have to deal with them as frequently as I did since they have parcel lockers now! Happy to finally leave.
The process was great, and the staffs are very friendly and helpful. All of my requests are always taken cared of :)
Friendly staff!!!! Michelle is the best officer I have ever met. The staffs try to remember our names and they are nice people. Highly recommend you to stay here!!! I really love the recreation room and the fountain built recently.
Nice place to live! Secure, clean, nice staff !
PLEASE READ!!!!!!YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF AND GET DISRESPECTED IF YOU MOVE HERE!!!I dont even know where to start. I guess I will start by advising every potential resident to look elsewhere and save yourselves money and trouble. This has been absolutely the worst experience I have ever had in my whole life. 3 months after my move in, their pipes broke in the garage and flooded my car and totaled it. They refused to pay me anything even though the same spot flooded before and was never fixed neither was I ever warned. I had to buy myself a new car and spend tons of money. About 10 months later some pipes from the apartment above mine broke and flooded my apartment!!! I had to move out for one month until repairs were made and also incurred huge charges. After all that, my apartment got infested with roaches for 11 months!!! (My apartment was always super clean and I had cleaners come twice a week) the management couldnt care less and made up huge lies to not get this issue fixed and it is because of them my apartment was infested. They never cared and were never punctual with returning phone calls or fixing stuff. I had to move to a new apartment and incurred huge charges for the third time, except this time I also had to deal with health issues because the infestation affected my respiratory system. After all that I have been through with this company, instead of getting an apology I got harassed by a guy named George (assistant manager for maintenance) at the leasing office and kicked out for wanting to talk to Susan (property manager) without an appointment!!!! And before that I was also kicked out of the office by Tizoc (maintenance manager) for insisting on being moved to a safe unit after my apartment got flooded.Long story short please dont fall for the nice environment and friendly place ad and try to save yourself tons of money and trouble by looking elsewhere. Please read reviews from other residents and youll know that every word I wrote is true.AWFUL
Best service ever. Michelle is very helpful and nice and i would love to recommend everyone to come take a look.
They actually care about the facilities here and resolve issues fast! Since moving in a year ago, theyve added a new courtyard, bike lockers, and parcel pending (lockers for deliveries). 👌👌👌
Worst experience why I am saying is because they maintain the apt very slow in that period carpet got dirty that also they will charge you when you leave... all the basic amenities are much far parking, laundry and mailbox. Check before you take the apt. Loading and unloading household is also a challenge.
Nightmare
The worst apartment ever in my life. Old facilities causing leaking everywhere, freezing coldness during winter, cockroaches dead under your sink. Unkind office staffs who cannot properly process works for resident in timely manner. Rude assistant manager of maintenance (George?).
This is a great building and management is on site which makes things so easy. I dont understand why people write bad reviews. Everything is constantly being upgraded and renovated. I have lived here for two years and they made a brand new state of gym and sauna, have two very nice pools and a relax room that is breathtaking. People give this place one star because its hard to get groceries up? They have like 4 elevators and a million different access points, dont know what else they could do to help. Because its on a hill? This is by some way the apartments fault? lol I have unbelieable views from my apartment balcony every day because we are on a hill. The entry is gated and secure and if there is a problem you call or go down to the leasing office that holds your packages for you so they dont get stolen and are open till 6! Awesome place! Screw the haters!
Don’t stay here!!! I regretted so much I didn’t read these reviews before I moved in. If you are considering finding a places to live, there are tons of nice places around the area and are cheaper than this place. A true story I had is the day I moved in and I was signing some papers in the leasing office, a woman rushed into the office telling the staffs, a man hit his head in the laundry room and was bleeding to death. She were asking if the staffs there can help, and guess what, no one responded to her. They were all looking at each other but didn’t say or do anything. Yes, these staffs will only show up when it’s related to money. You will be charged a ton of fees besides the overpriced rent. Want to get you deposit back, no way...
Do not stay here, i repeat dont stay here.Rec room sucked, lots of people that was super loud. Worst wifi ive ever experienced. And lost deposit because of some bullshit between woodcliff and some external landlord. The pool areas would close really early at night. Aircon in the rooms didnt work at all times, some days it could get really cold and others really warm. They also closed pool areas, without notice before, this was during the hottest periods so you couldnt take a swim.
Love this place and the people!
Great Community, Friendly Staff
My favorate tech Art! Great and fast. Really professional!
