Normally, I like Southwest Airlines. I want to give them five stars. But theres a pandemic. The delta variant is highly contagious. And yet, everyone has to line up very close to each other during the boarding process.Even worse, on flight 4822, September 7th, 2021, one of the flight attendants, the male, spent part of the flight with his mask down below his nostrils. He was not modeling good pandemic behavior, and he was endangering the health of the passengers and the other crew members.

Monday 5:45PM flight60001 from LAX to Dallas LoveField Airport, was my first time flying or returning on a round trip. The Pilot was so smooth! As a driver I transport seniors and handicap individuals, plus as a tractor trailer driver it’s important that you drive smooth so that your relief driver sleeps well and I realize the difference so I’m definitely not comparing myself to this Pilot at all!. What a smooth takeoff my zoomed 4K video is proof I wanted to talk with him, but it was my first time and people were looking at me like I’d better keep walking lol but thanks you for making it so comfortable, and yes the landing was just as smooth!

The flight went well despite a minor delay. The captains and the crew were polite and cheerful. Captain Mike was even cleaning the cabin without being asked. I will never forget the tour he gave. Wonderful!!!

They will not allow me to use the ticket I purchase in May 2020 that is in my son name. Could not travel due to COVID-19. I paid for it and he cannot use the ticket so why cant I for future travels with them. If not for COVID-19 then we would have gone on our trip. Now they want me to wait another year and then take $100.00 from my credit in order for me to use it. NOT FAIR.

I look forward to updating this review after my next experience. Southwest was my airline for my trip to California. My flight to was on time. My flight back was not. However, LAX was very comfortable and had things near the gate that made the wait tolerable. The flight attendants were very helpful as well. All in all a great experience.

I am very impressed with the boarding process now in place. Of course I havent traveled since the 90s and back then Southwest had a nick name of the greyhound of the skies. I must say that us definitely no longer the case. Kudos Southwest my new airline to fly.

In the last 13 years, since my kids and I have been flying on a regular basis, weve never had a bad incident with southwest. Tickets bought ahead of time are a good price compared to any airlines.Also, we now have a choice of either peanuts or pretzels.Southwest has been a big part of my life for the last....... 32 years.Wow... I had a major nostalgic moment.Thank you Southwest for everything.

Southwest is a great Airline to fly in I just dont like when they have the delays.....which I understand its not in their control. My flight going to Vegas was delayed from 1:35 to 1:55, 2:00, 2:05,2:07.....then after we were on the run way we had to sit due to weather so no planes were flying out until it was clear....which set me back like 3 hours. I arrived in Vegas at 5:00 when I should have arrived originally at 2:35 if they didnt have any delays

You know exactly what to expect when you fly Southwest and consistently they are reliable. The flight attendants are professional and the friendly. The pilots are always efficient and get you where you are going as fast as possible. My only complaint is the space allocated for each passenger and thats just a feature of a 737-800.

I had my minor grandsons flying back home to San Antonio Texas. Their flight kept getting delayed, when we went to the help desk we were treated with such professional courtesy. My concern was I didnt want to leave my grandsons at the airport if by any chance their flight would get cancelled and I would not be there to take them back to my house. We were allowed to go and wait until their flight departed. That put me at so much peace know my grandsons would not be left alone. Thank you so much South West Airlines, you all did a great job.

Needed a flight from LAX to PHX. Took about 40 minutes to purchase the ticket from Southwest Airlines and 25 minutes to get cleared through security. Not to shabby, if I must say so myself for having not had a ticket prior.

Southwest is my airline of choice due to the low fair and excellent service. I use it personally and for my children. They have the best rate for unaccompanied minors and my children were always well taken care of. Now that they are of age, they also love Southwest. It is the most flexible and understanding airline around. We have had to change flights due to an emergency and they did it without a problem.

Great experience. We have been flying another airline for years. But I think we will switch. Nice to get a drink and a snack in flight again. Staff were all friendly and oh yes...did I mention leg room? Wow that was nice and I didnt have to pay extra to get it. One low spot, we had a layover in Denver and the Southwest terminal wasnt very appealing and the restrooms there were terrible. Not sure how much of that is Southwests fault or the Denver Airport but....it wasnt good.

SWA has my 4 star rating, they are professionals and always on time.In order for me to give a 5 star, may I suggest that the passengers without carry-on bags be allowed to get off the plane first. I believe that would be a more efficient way to get people off the plane effortlessly. Thank you

And absolutely wonderful experience. The weight lines were very short and they are able to get people through very quick. Security was very tight but they do work quickly. It was nice to have plenty of food options throughout the entire airport while waiting on our flight. The flight was wonderful and the staff was extremely nice.

It wasnt the best flight ✈️ I just want to let you know that if you have a costumer with a flight with 2 stops without leaving the aircraft and more than 8 hours, you should take care of them. I was in a flight like that, 2 delays, almost 9 hours of flight and I only received 2 small cups of water (or soda) and two small packages of chips. It was a process trying to get out of the plain to grab some food.

1st time trip to California, 1st flight was great but the connecting flight out of Phoenix was not. It was hot on the plane and it made a 3 hr flight very uncomfortable. All the flight attendants were wonderful.Return trip, both planes were the same, hot. I understand its summer time but having to wear a mask in addition to the heat on both planes was very intolerable.

We flew from LAX to Denver and had a great experience. My only issue was why couldnt we reserve our seats in this flight? Kind of lame. Despite that, everyone on the plane behaved and had good customer service.

I love southwest but this last experience wasnt great.Too many delays and change of flights.Had a nonstop flight from lax to New Orleans that turned into a change of planes in Las Vegas that caused delays. Got in almost 2 hours late then our bags didnt show up.I understand that every business is having difficulties in staffing, I deal with it daily.I will continue to fly southwest as Ive done most of my life.Just wasnt thrilled about this last experience.Thank you

It was a great flight and the pilots did an amazing job, even with the landing. This was my 1st time flying and admit was scared to death and had anxiety but I was able to enjoy flying to California and back. Thank you to the pilots and attendants for keeping me safe and making it a very memorable & wonderful vacation for my husband & I. I just wish I could have gotten my wing pin like they wear. I was like a little kid and wanting them. Lol

Flying to Texas(TXW) from California (LAX) on Southwest is truly enjoyable. The crew and staff are very professional and pleasant to talk with and assist you. When checking in, you can print boarding passes at home or use the computers at the airport and/or use a mobile device. I needed to check my luggage, so I went to full service (I like that human interaction), but you can use the computers as well to check-in your luggage. One great thing is you dont need to take your electronics out. They can remain in the carrying case👏🏽.

Its our preference to fly Southwest because of our years of experience with them. Open seating is awesome (great as long as you check in on time & get A or B! Or you have small children.)! Nobody telling us where to sit. Clean, nice flight crew, safe flying, spacious seating, easy & free changes to flights, excellent customer service, luv vouchers for issues, etc.

Here at LAX and the girl scanning us in the flight is the worst person I have ever met. She was at 12B for the flight to San Antonio at 8:30 pm. And I mean absolutely the worst attitude I have ever seen my whole trip. Even though our fight was delayed, had to change routes we were fine as long as we got to go home. But her attitude just ruined the 4 hour flight I now have to take home and I hope I NEVER have to deal with that girl again. Seriously had the worst customer service Ive ever seen. She made us get new boarding passes then left when we tried to get scanned in and made us waiting there while she was on the plane playing with her friends.

It was good. Went round trip to Houston. On the way there we had a better handling pilot who told us some funny jokes along the way. On the way back we had a bit of a harsher pilot with a bit of a shaky landing. Overall is all good!

My favorite airline. They know how to treat people. Ive flown with them for over 16years and only once have I seen an upset employee. I had amazing service as a single person, outstanding help when I had my son with me and when I flew after an injury, the wheelchair service stole my heart with all the extra kindness. Yes Id definitely stick to southwest airlines.

We went to California from Michigan. Each leg of our trip ran smoothly via the soutwest staffs knowledge, empathy and general covid practices. All planes were packed with people and luggage to them bursting point. They allowed us family boarding and we were able to sit together. Last leg of journey was a bit turbulent coming home but by the grace of God, and a skilled team we made it. Thank you southwest.My favorite airlines. Kudos

Southwest adjusted some of their rules due to COVID. You must wear a mask over your nose and mouth. They will stress that on the terminal, at the gate and on the plane. Only 4 beverages (coke, diet coke, sprite, water) are available on during the flight. I do find some of the fight attendants to be firm. Its already hard to hear on the plane and with the masks its more difficult. Be patient and follow the rules.

Got a 100 dollar voucher which is pretty much useless because I dont fly very often. So the xtra 167 dollars I spent to fly out today instead of tomorrow was pretty much useless as well. Horrible! I’ve been flying southwest for years and have a broken knee. Which means I’m in an immobilizer and I can’t bend my knee. I asked for prepare and the attendant said the best they could do is extra time. I can’t bend my knee! I can’t be in the middle. I need to be in the front of the plane and in early. I paid for express boarding but this is making me go American because of the lack of caring by your staff.

Booked my flight in February for August 8th, received a text August 7th at 11pm to say my flight was canceled without explanation. This disruptive not only my scheduled plans but more importantly the plans of others that were showing me kindness. Called the customer service number which had ridiculous hold time of over an hour and more, only to speak with a representative who was crude and no empathy and felt in control of my life. So I sent emails to southwest airlines cooperate office and posted on Facebook, IG and their website and they HEARD me, acknowledge what grievances I had and sent me $250 LUV Vouchers. I have been in Customer Service Management for over 20 years, when listening and speaking to customers, I keep in my that I am a customer as well and treat our customers accordingly. Employees who are coming in contact with a companys customers MUST remember that their treatment of customers represents the Company. Southwest Airlines appreciate you acknowledging my hardship of the cancellation and hearing me.

I have always loved SW Air. It’s good to see them making more improvements but it’s been under construction for quite some time. Nonetheless, southwest air never disappoints. Even with misplaced luggage twice, it was found and they never disappoint.The employees are always awesome and I love how they are just real people! They always have something going on honoring their customers. They still rule when it comes to affordable airfare and the bags are STILL and hopefully will be forever free 😀😀So glad to see them flying international now. One day I pray they go to Italy and China. If they start that, they will really take over the map!

Passenger seating is to small. Southwest airlines wont let you check in early. And asked $255 for and upgrade to business class. There is no business class on southwest airlines. They meant $255 to have priority.

Flight was delayed. We sat in the airplane for 3 hours waiting for paperwork after they changed a tire on the airplane. Finally we were deplaned and moved to another gate to get on another plane. Wouldve been nice if the airline wouldve fed the passengers after all that time and if they wouldve handed out travel vouchers.

I have flown Southwest almost exclusively since 2003. Their cheapest fares, humorous attendants made me loyal.Then they got expensive in the last 2 years. Maybe if it guaranteed assigned seats instead of the cut throat first come first serve this seat is taken mentality. Atleast SW still lets you have 2 check ins.Still a great airlines....highly recommended. Did you know they were a TEXAS only airline early on? Me neither (didnt know)!Best wishes to SW that they continue to prosper!!!

The plane was full and the airlines do not social distance for passengers on On-board anymore. They serve a pack of pretzels and 4 choices of drink. You must wear your mask unless eating or drinking but people were not using masks while sitting.

Southwest airlines is my favorite way to travel. I travel to Las Vegas Hawaii and California. I had to wait over 40 to 60 minutes after our flight had landed for my luggage it was stressful because I had my ride waiting on me. I only contacted them once I landed. I have never experience this type of delay from them before this is the only reason I didnt give a 5 star like I normally give them. I Southwest airlines is the only way for me to fly
