I signed a contract to have the metal roof on my back porch replaced, and paid half the cost as a deposit. Shortly afterwards, my medical issues took a turn for the worse and I am facing unexpected medical expenses. I have been trying to cancel the job and get my deposit back, with no success. I have texted Garrett and talked to Trish, but have not gotten an answer. Poor customer service.Today, Garrett came out to my house and after a constructive conversation, I am going to have Hero Construction complete this project. I found Garrett to be understanding of my medical situation and throughly professional in our meeting today. I have changed my rating to 5.

A guy came out to quote me on 8 windows and converting my porch into a Florida room… their prices are OUTRAGEOUS!!!! Seriously laughable… I was quoted $3,000 for EACH window! -like I don’t care what quality windows you have!!! Nothing is worth 3k for 1 normal sized window! And 0ver $43,000 for a small (249 sq ft) Florida room conversion (4 windows, 1 door)!!!! ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK!? Just so you know I got another quote for the Florida room that was $14,500. This is how crazy their prices are…

Had them out for an estimate for blow in attic insulation. Explained I needed it done after the new ductwork was installed in attic. Told them I had a specific date I needed that was 3 weeks out. Contract said 8-14 weeks so I wasn’t going to hire them. My salesman said 3 weeks was plenty of lead time and if I signed that day they’d give a 10% discount. They also offer a 1 year price match guarantee if you find a cheaper price for same product within 12 months they refund the difference. Beware that they sub contract most of their work. These guys appear to be general contractors so my insulators were a completely different company. When the insulation company called they were not taking any appointments until end of October for my August contract. I said that wouldn’t work and I eventually spoke to Kyle Kruse and let him know that 3 weeks was what was agreed and that actually I had found 3 other companies that could accommodate my date (this is a second home so we’re not always there-we live 1000 miles away and we AirBNB this property and are extremely booked) and they were all cheaper than Hero. I told him we could just shake hands and cancel the contract mutually becasue he was going to be refunding me a significant amount anyway and he couldn’t accommodate my time frame. The other companies were 38-45% less for the same product and labor, R38 at 13” depth (that’s county code) for 2135 sq feet. He told me to send him my written estimate from his competitor which I did and he told me someone would be out Friday 9/24. They no called no showed and now I have no insulation and will have to now hire someone else and make a special trip back down between tenants. Now I will have to contact my credit card company to reverse the deposit charge.

Steve, the company representative did a great presentation detailing the company history, quality, product and values. He explained all the window products that they install, detailing the differences and advantages of each one.Steve was very methodical and clear in his presentation. Steve was very professional with a great friendly attitude.

Terrible customer service. Called to set up an appointment to get an estimate to install 4 windows. I made it completely clear that we have the windows and just needed a company to install them.The next day the they called to see if we would like to make an appointment. I said I had already spoken to someone from your company the day before and had an appointment for Friday at 3pm. She couldn’t find it so we made another appointment same day and time. Well today comes and it’s now 3:30 and nobody shows or calls. So I call and the same woman and she said “we only do window install when we order the windows”! Well when we’re you going to call me and let me know this? No answer to that question of course.They had no plans to show up and didn’t even bother to call me to let me know this change. Customer service is not part of this company’s creed.
