After a bit of a rough start with the renters getting used to the new system it has settled into a good routine. I still do the service when I am available but they can take care of things when I am away.I have had several rental companies handle my properties in the past, some ok most bad . These people have done a decent job .

The only reason I feel comfortable posting this review is because we no longer live in the same city. If we did, I would fear retaliation.Sunworld is the worst company we have ever had the displeasure of working with. I dont post bad reviews, but I feel its necessary in this case.We were tenants for two years, and Im going to write out a full account here. There were other events, but these were the worst.First, the day we moved in, SunWorld was not ready for us. They made my wife wait in her car for three hours (did not tell her what they were doing) because they had forgotten to inspect our rental before our move-in date. Their excuse was that we had not been clear about when we would move in, which came from wanting to pay partial rent for two weeks before the beginning of May. I had called two days prior to confirm they would be ready for us to move in, and I was told they were.They had also communicated to us that the unit had been professionally cleaned. We got there on the move-in day with our furniture and the floor was covered in pine needles and footprints that were clearly from people walking through the unit to see if they wanted to rent. There were two carpets that were left by the previous tenants (both raggedy and worn, clearly garbage). When we called to talk to them about it, we were told we had rented the property as-is per the terms of our lease and that what they had communicated to us verbally about the property was not true. We spent the whole day cleaning and delayed our move by a full day.From that point, we stopped communicating over the phone and insisted on getting things in writing. We made an itemized list of everything that needed repairs and sent that their way. The one thing that desperately needed to be fixed was an exposed wire in the bedroom. It took Sunworld FOUR MONTHS to have a repairman contact me, at which point we had already fixed the problem ourselves. They never offered to fix anything else in the unit from our list, again leaning on the as-is clause in the lease and stating that nothing in our list presented any immediate danger.We developed a more positive relationship with the owner of the property, and began communicating with him directly with things we wanted to do with the unit. We were expressly told by Sunworld to never contact the owner under any circumstances; we found out he had asked for nothing of the sort and welcomed our feedback.In August of 2020, our neighbor in another Sunworld unit passed away. I was the one who found him after being asked to check in by a family member. I panicked, because thats the first time Ive ever dealt with anything like that. In my panic, I called the owner of the property. He assured me that he would call Sunworld and get it all sorted. Next morning, I received a phone call from Paul, the owner of Sunworld. He told me he was outside and that I needed to come speak with him.For the next few minutes, he berated me about handling this better, calling him directly, and wasting his time by going to the owner instead of their company. He asked why I would reach out to the owner instead of Sunworld, and I said, Because we dont talk to you guys, we talk to him. Pauls words were - I dont care if he sends you a f*cking Christmas card every year. If you have a problem, you call me, not him.Ive reached out to other previous Sunworld tenants since then - people reporting that Paul has made them cry on numerous occasions, one tenant who was delayed from moving in for two months for *repairs* that didnt start until two weeks before her move-in date, and another who reported having a wallet thrown at her in the office.Sunworlds customers are not their tenants; they are the owners of the properties they manage. If you expect to be treated kindly, that will entirely depend on the time of day, how busy they are, and whether or not youve done something to p*ss off the owner. I dont want anyone reaching out to me - I just want people to know what theyre getting into. If you have the option, stay away.

I am on a housing voucher trying to better my life and these people were so rude and told my case worker that dealing with so many emails, phone calls, and verification processes was a “headache.” She specified that he was extremely rude to her and they told her she had 1 minute to explain how they were going to make this less hard on them and want to rent to me. These people are completely unprofessional, discriminatory and such a rude organization. They also told her I was denied because of not receiving rental reference from my landlord who’s property is owned by my case workers company. When I called to verify the owner Paul was completely rude and hung up on me.

Sunworld has been a customer of Global Securitys for many years. They are progressive and continue to seek out proven technologies for their clients and their properties. They make common sense improvements. We recently provided a security/smart home system for one of their residents and are adding an automatic gate for another property. They are a good partner!

Staff has been easy to work with. Any maintenance needs have been answered very timely and were fixed pretty quickly. I loved the option to view the home on my time and without someone trying to sell me on the place. Plus I feel the rent is reasonable.I would recommend using Sunworld.

Sunworld managed our home leasing for a few months, in between the time we purchased the home and the time we were ready to move in. They did an excellent job finding great renters who took good care of our home for those few months, leaving it in great condition for our move in. Paul was communicative about pricing it right and getting renters in as quickly as we could. One thing to be aware of though is that the lease agreement is normally for 1 year so if you rent it out for less than a year, you will need to cover their 10% monthly fee for the entire year. Its a normal business practice of property management companies, and so is just something to be aware of.

My experience with Sarah (maintenance), and Paul (manager) via phone conversations summed up: atrocious, rude, and demeaning. Sarah laughed at and unabashedly mocked both my security and maintenance concerns about a house I toured. Paul was initially begrudgingly helpful, then extremely rude. He cut me off mid-sentence repeatedly, yelled at me, and told me “I don’t have time for this!” Nancy was nice and slightly helpful, of course she’s the nicest as she’s the person asking for your money. As a team they operate poorly together as I was quoted different information from Sarah and Paul. They seem to think condescending tones are appropriate to use at all times. And they expect you to sign the lease without walking through the rental first. No thanks, I’m not kissing a $2,100 deposit goodbye or putting up with the derogatory language.

Do not recommend ever renting a property through them. They are friendly at first but once they have your deposit and you sign on the dotted line, they dont care about you. Our shower and toilet became clogged for whatever reason and so we put in a maintenance request and the person they sent to take a look at it, took our toilet off the seal. Allowing raw sewage to flow into our bathroom and then he just walked out and told me he had to take his daughter to the doctors and he would send someone else out to finish up. Mind you, I was stuck using towels and ringing them out into the bathtub for the next 18 hours before a professional plumber was called out to our home. We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old that live in our home and we were having to drive down to the store just so they could use the rest room, all hours of the night for 2 almost 3 days this went on. By the time the plumber got there and saw the scene, it was a disaster. He called our landlord and said he was going to have his hazmat team come out and disinfect the bathroom and stuff. Our landlord said no he would have someone come out and do it. Of course, no one ever came to do it. We did it ourselves. Then to top it all off, our landlord sends me an email stating that he added the cost of the bill to our bill for next month. Which was over $700.They dont give a damn about their tenants, we are nothing but another rent check.DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!

Sunworld group is great! The properties are well maintained and the staff is easy to get a hold of if needed. The fridge in our unit went out and it was replaced right away with a brand new one. We are super happy with the response time.

This place is a joke tells everyone during covid no excuses pay rent even when my whole family lost their jobs. We still struggled and paid rent. They made us leave we cleaned the entire place and theyre trying to charge us thousands even though we had the place professionally cleaned. Not a good place to live. They do random inspections every six months qnd always threaten to kick you out. Paul is a terrible person to work with. The owners harrassed us because paul is so difficult they punished us.

The Sunworld Group has been my Land Lord for the past (15) years. During that time, They have never given me reason to complain. i have received prompt reply to any maintenance need that should occur. They go out of their way to keep their properties in prime condition. The office staff is efficient and pleasant to deal with. Although I have experienced some rent increases, I find that my rent stays equal to, or below the simular units in my localatie. Best Land Lord that I have ever had.

It’s was nice to rent a house managed by a company that actually cared about it’s tenants. Paul Van Baalen and his staff were always professional. Yet, they were flexible when they saw it need be. Paul is a straight shooter, who respects tenants rights and always accommodates when possible. I’ve rented from more than a few company’s and private owners over the years.
