I’ve taken classes from Garth for close to a year now. I approached Garth after observing his sessions in the park while walking my dog. Garth invited me to Participate in his morning Tai Chi classes, I immediately realized there would be physical and mental challenges. With Garth’s coaching and patience I have over time improved on my technique and noticed physical well being in my daily life and a calmness. I very much look forward to the three classes a week that I attend. Garth is a very thorough teacher and has great patience and ability to help each individual succeed on their path of internal martial arts training.
The quality offered through Garths teachings is world class. Garth is very patient and knowledgeable. He offers very easy instructions plus members only online material that really helps you along your journeys. When I first started class I had a great deal of shoulder discomfort, mostly from my life style and other arts I was doing. I can now say that not only is my shoulders 100% better but they have new abilities that I never new where there!Cheers!
For several years, I have been benefited from the weekly classes and monthly workshops along with the online training Garth Reynolds offers from Bagua Internal Arts at the Circle of Health.I am sharing my experience due to the impact it has had on my overall health and well-being. In my profession as a dental hygienist for 35 years, my posture and repetitive movements have impacted my shoulder, neck, back, and arthritis in my hands. Garth’s classes in Xin Yi Liu He Quan, Tia Ji Quan, Qi Gong have minimized and even resolved these health issues.I enjoy the students and variety of classes Garth offers. I benefit form starting my week with the Monday morning class Qi Gong. The skills in Qi Gong involve deep breathing techniques and mindfulness which enhances posture, balance, and movement. I incorporate these skills throughout the week and utilize these methods when encountering stress and recognizing stress triggers. Achieving long term health takes time, effort, and expense. Garth’s internal art classes are the best health benefit I have found yet.
I have studied with Garth Renyolds for a number of years now, and have had numerous teachers in the past. When I first began studying with Garth we were doing Bagua, but for the last year or so we have been doing Xinyi Liuhue. I appreciate Garth’s teaching, he is very thorough in his approach to the material he presents. He structures his classes for both beginning students just wanting to learn a martial art through advanced martial artists wanting to improve their skills. Beginning students come away with a basic knowledge of movements for improving health and increasing their internal strength, while advanced practitioners can learn new concepts and improve their skills. I highly recommend attending Garth’s class
I have been practicing with Garth Reynolds and Suzan Fleck for more than three years. Initially, Suzan was teaching the eight storing qi. About 18 or so months ago, Garth took over the class and started teaching the eight healing sounds. This past winter, he changed to teaching dao yin dragon exercises, which continue through the present.I was in my late 60’s when I began practicing with Garth and Suzan. Having not exercisedmost of my adult life, the sporadic exercise workouts that I did get, in the form of shoveling snow, raking leaves, hiking, and other fairly strenuous work, always resulted in sore muscles for a few days following the exercise. However, in the spring of last year, we had a big snowfall which required shoveling heavy snow for well over an hour. To my surprise and delight, I suffered no sore muscles at all. This has been the case since then.I also have arthritis, which causes joint pain in various parts of my body. At times, climbing the stairs caused a lot of knee pain. Over the time that I’ve been practicing with Garth and Suzan, this arthritic pain has eased immensely. My knees still crack regularly, and hurt a bit sometime, but nothing like they did several years ago. Also, a year ago I had a thumb and finger which had trigger finger injuries – that is, when bent, they wouldn’t straighten out without a snap. Since then, both fingers are now normal. Although I can’t say for certain that it was the exercises that I did with Garth that corrected them, there’s nothing else to which I can attribute the cure. The dao yin exercises that Garth has been teaching have increased my balance and strength. For people my age, poor balance is often a precursor to serious injury due to falls.Garth and Suzan are patient, knowledgeable, and very helpful in their teaching, both for beginners and for more advanced students. I very much appreciate their generosity in sharing these exercises which can be of benefit to so many people.
