Great place to learn karate. They are really good with children and really good at teaching them not only about self defence but respect

My family and I have been taking multiple classes a week at Ohana over the past several months. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about martial arts and are fantastic teachers. Sensei & Mr. Morris are very fun to take classes with, and allow us some room for error, review, retrospective and improvement during our belt progression, as we continue to grow and learn. Our teenagers have tried another form of martial arts and did not enjoy those classes as much as they do this traditional Kenpo style. We have greatly enjoyed our time with Ohana and look forward to continuing to train with the Morris family.

No McDojo tactics here, just pure and authentic Kenpo Karate and Kanda Ha Kamishin-Ryu Aiki Jutsu. You wont find a better karate school in the region.

Ohana has been wonderful for my son. He is more aware of his body and controls himself better mentally and physically. They drive home the concept of safety and respect. Ohana has become our Family and has a special place in our hearts.

I didnt start learning karate until after I turned 30. It was strange and challenging for me, but after several years I earned my black belt and Im very proud to say that the Morriss were a major influence for me getting there. Mrs. Morris was one of my primary instructors and has always been so graceful, gracious, kind, caring, and helpful. Mr. Morris the same, the many times he instructed me as well. They are every bit excellent people and instructors, as well as an amazing family.

If I could give Ohana 6 stars, I would! My son absolutely loves attending the youth class here. Sensei Morris is an excellent instructor and very experienced. Her leadership skills encourage my son to always to do his best. Thank You, Sensei!!! Keep us the awesome work! It is truly appreciated!

Sensei Morris is one of the best instructors I’ve had in martial arts training. She knows the techniques and can break them down so you understand them. I’ve also watched her teach my kids and have been impressed with the patience she has had with them.

Sensei Morris worked with both of my children, who each had their own special needs. She showed insight into their situations and patience with each of them. At the same time, she set limits and held them to high expectations. Watching her teach is a joy. Mr. Morris often taught classes, especially with my son as he advanced through his belts. Again, Mr. Morris was understanding while pushing for his students best efforts. My kids respect and love both Sensei and Mr. Morris. I am so appreciative of their work as my kids instructors and happy they have opened their own martial arts academy. Both Sensei Morris and her husband are amazing, knowledgeable, and loving instructors. They are professional and work well with a very broad spectrum of age, ability, and experience. I am a first degree black belt and probably owe most of it to Sensei Carissa Morris for her patience, diligence, and unequivocal understanding of Kenpo and Ju Jitsu. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a fun, family friendly, and safe environment to train in the martial arts.

Kenpo karate stands on its own as an incredible art worthy of learning. Receiving instruction from Sensei Morris and Mr. Morris is the icing on the cake. Sensei and kenpo provided me with a safe environment during the hardest life challanges Ive faced to date. I am forever grateful for the knowledge, skills and friendship I have gained from my time studying under Sensei Morris.
