I had started my order online and apparently i ordered the wrong size tire for my car but she helped me through out the whole process she helped me get the correct size and so on. You have no idea how much i appreciated the help and the nice customer service betty gave me. When it comes to cars i know nothing about ! My father would be the one who would always help me with my car problems but a few months ago he left to a better world. I needed him so bad today i felt lost. So your staff being so helpful and kind was so so appreciated I felt the support! I will definitely return to this pep boys when i need other services. On Monday 7/19, I made an appointment for an oil change at 8:00 am on Wednesday 7/21. I arrived on time, filled out paperwork and left my car. I walked to Starbucks and Marshals. At 10:30 I returned and asked if my car was ready. They hadnβt even started it yet. No one bothered to call me. I told them I needed to leave. The woman said, βOh, youβll be nextβ. I told her I had to leave. It had been 2.5 hours. She went and got my keys without a sorry or thank you.

Iβve been going to this location for about a year and they are usually very spot on with my Vehicle Maintenance. Good People there and usually very professional with their work. This time however, they really missed their mark.I went there early in the morning for a tire replacement and the receptionist said it would be done in about an hour or so. I left my car and went back to my apartment. Fast forward two hours later and they told me that they needed to order the tire from a different location after they said they had plenty available. I said okay and waited awhile and after two more hours, I called back and they said βit should be here any minuteβ but couldnβt give me a proper eta on the completion and that really was the final straw. Normally they are on their game and finish efficiently but a one hour tire job now became an all day issue. Most likely Iβll be taking my car to another service shop after this.

I had an appointment for an oil change at 1pm. They never called me to say it was completed, so I went back at 4:30pm to get my car, I needed to be somewhere by 5pm. When I arrived they couldnt find my car, no one knew who, if anyone had serviced it. After waiting an additional 20 minutes, they told me no one serviced my car. What is the point of making an appointment if it isnt honored? Id rather they have called me in the morning to tell me it cant happen, rather than kill 5 hours of my only day off from work this week. Im so disappointed. Mostly, I am frustrated I cannot get back my time that they took from me. Terribly inconsiderate service.
Great service and selection. The store is clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.The only thing that sucks is that theres no turn lane to get into the parking lot if youre coming from the traffic circle, but thats not their fault. They do have a large parking lot though.
I had an oil change done 7/19/2020 . I arrived at 505p and they closed at 5p. Luckily they let me inside to pay . But once i walked toward my car i noticed my windows open and my car unlocked . Also i noticed my pepboys oil change sticker not updated. Those are minor things that shouldnt go unnoticed because other pepboys take care of Your car and maintenance sticker . I wont be returning to this location i will continue to Go to the one in Downey . I should of took heed to the reviews before i attended this location .

My first experience, and I will never return.I left 3 hours waiting to change the oil of the car. I scheduled a day before. Officials walked through the store and it seems not to work. I went to ask if my car had broken. Officials talking and not caring about customers. Bad experience. I never go back to this place. I made a post on my social networks. Employers answered another person in front of me, sure would be more expensive service. in the photo my car is on top, and the official stopped fixing mine to fix someone else
Trustworthy and honest. Iβm always a little nervous going to car places but this team was awesome! So friendly and informative and they accidentally double charged me and then gave me a call back to let me know! Impossible reach a person by phone even when calling the local number while theyre open. I called AAA to have my car towed here for a new tire, but there is no way to reach a human to arrange things.

Had a 12:30 appointment for a tire change only, an hour later 1:30 came and still no work done, I asked for my keys and left.But three/3 wanta be tech guys had enough time to ogle a somewhat hot chic and her old VW Bug that they aired up the tires on for 10 minutes but not service me a paying customer.
I bought windshield wipers and fluid for my Smart Car. I was informed that if I needed help putting them I the service department would help. They helped indeed and the original purchase was incorrect and they helped me get the correct version and installed them quickly. The fluid was easy and I I started to do it I was met with assistance, kindness and care. I havent had the need to visit Pep Boys but today I was very pleased. Thanks
Terrible customer service. Basic service which should have taken 1.5 hours took 4. Making an appointment is worthless as there is no sense of urgency with the staff. The receptionist in service never communicated with me and what was going on with my vehicle. No one took ownership of the delay. Worthless experience. Will never go back there again.
Be honest i dont like the service
Am writing this review only because this is the 3rd time Ive had problems here. We bought a battery with a 3-year full replacement. One and a half years later took the car in for battery problems. They test. They tell me battery is bad need to replace. But they dont carry that brand anymore. So I need to pay $40 for replacement. I said no. Not my fault you dont carry same battery. They go speak to the manager. Manager tells employee to retest. He feels battery is good.After 2 hours of waiting battery comes back bad. They replace battery. What a scam. They try to get 40 bucks off me. And when I resist they make me wait 2 hours. These are not honest people working here . You have been warned

Got an oil change here last week. Noticed the scent of oil wafting through the cab for awhile and finally decided to look under the hood only to find they never put the oil cap back on, and all the oil was sloshing over the engine and manifold. Avoid this place at all costs.

Super nice staff. I came in with no appointment and had a friendly staff member greet me. The Tuesday before thanksgiving and they were obviously busy but the staff gave me plenty of time to explain the situation. They worked on my car in a timely manner. Sitting area inside was nice, comfy chairs and a television. Excellent customer service. I will be coming back.

Unexpierenced, unprofessional, cheap products.... list goes on and on. Super obvious SCAMS. Wanted 520$ for a new battery that didnt even need it. didnt even have the tools for my VW!! Had to special order it and wanted to charge me 361$ for it + shipping Sickening to think of how many people they have ripped off.

They will lie to you and tell that theyβre about to pull your car in and an hour later, itβs still in the same spot in the parking lot. If you tell them that you need the brakes checked or the wheel bearings because something is off, they will tell you that they checked them and they are fine. On your next visit they will tell you that your brakes have about 20% left. Oh, I thought nothing was wrong with them before. Be prepared to wait three hours or more. I donβt normally write reviews because I got better things to do but they donβt deserve their good ratings. Iβve been here three times and never happy. Itβs close to my house but Iβll drive further for better service.

I just got off the phone with a very rude employee. I had an appointment for a one hour diagnostic and Iβm still waiting, 3 1/2 hours later. I asked the mechanic how much longer and he couldnβt give me a straight answer. He said it could take 1, 2, 3 hours or a even a day. It was very clear that he didnβt care about my time and the fact that I canβt go anywhere (work included) since they have my car. When I dropped off my car they said at most it would be 2-3 hours. Not only that, when I came in for my β2:00 appointmentβ I stood in line just to get checked in, for 20 minutes. They need to hire more people who work at a faster pace. This is ridiculous.

Heres my bad experience: I was there when they opened with a nail in my tire. One of the mechanics came out and looked at it and told me it could be fixed with a plug, I thought great and then waited for 2 full hours. At that time they told me they would not patch the tire due to the location of the puncture (Ive had other nails in these same tires in similar locations previously and had them fixed). There was no remorse on their part for my wasted time; no Im sorry, no concern at all, just defensiveness. Ill take my car to Allen Tire tomorrow where they know what they are doing.A follow up to the above post: I went to Allen Tire the next morning and the tire was fixed at no charge
Ive been here maybe twice. The first time I got an oil change before a road trip I went on. They told me I had an oil leak, but it should be fine as long as I check the oil frequently. When I got back from my trip I took it back to get another oil change maybe a month, or so later. They had no idea what I was talking about when I asked about the leak in my distributor. They said there wasnt any leak. I dont know why they would lie about my car having a leak, but that was the first red flag. They didnt fill up my windshield wiper fluid after I asked before, and confirmed afterwards with me that they had. Only for me to find out half way home. I drove back had them refill it. I later then checked the other fluids in my car(because if they lied about the windshield wiper fluid why wouldnt they about the others?) which they had told me BOTH visits they were fine, and none of the fluids needed to be changed or refilled. My radiator fluid was empty (I dont know how my car hadnt over heated). My steering wheel fluid was almost empty. I later found out that your steering wheel will make a loud squeaking noise if the fluid is low, it was doing that before the first visit. They still told me it was fine. Then my brake fluid was about to be below the minimum. When I was upset, and came to express my concerns I was met which an extremely rude employee who just talked down to me and treated me like I didnt know what I was talking about, and didnt want to help me understand. I dont wanna blame me being a young woman for the way he treated me, but I dont think he would have talked to an older man that way. You should really be cautious of this place, because they just dont care.
Came here about 3 months ago to have my spark plugs changed due to a rough idle, was charged north of $180.00 for the spark plug change, after the swap, the rough idle didnt go away. Didnt think much of it since it is an older car and is my second vehicle.Just yesterday I went to take my car to my newfound mechanic and told him about the rough idle, he informed me it was only the spark plugs, I was suprised to know that I had the same ol spark plugs that I had for about a year. Pepboys never changed the spark plugs and had charged me for the service! I was robbed! My new mechanic fixed this for $80.00!I do not reccomend anyone to go here for auto service, I was clearly robbed and I will never go back here again, was such a dissapointment.
If I could give them a minus 0, I would. Mechanics are hopefully good ( after$1,200 $$ spent lets hope so) but customer service very poor. I was told to make an appointment to have my engine light analyzed ; I did.... came for the 9 a.m. appointment( I scheduled for the first appointment that day) and was told there were 4 ahead of me!! When my car was finished, no one called to say it was done.... very disorganized, we dont care if you come back service
Proceed at your own risk! Sometimes Pepboys mechanics practices shady schemes to hustle extra cash from youre wallet. For example, I was told I needed a new battery for the vehicle to start up. Unbeknownst to them, before I arrived to Pepboys I had my charging system checked and it checked out π―. After this mechanic tried to decieve and swindle me, I immediately removed my car from this unethical shop. It was later discovered that it was a wire leading to the fuel pump and not the battery. PEPBOYS, should call themselves PIMPBOYS!!!!!
Came in to get a quote on some new front brake pads for my lexus ct200h. I got help right away and was given a pretty good estimate so I decided to get my brakes taken care of. Only thing lacking in the transaction (and this is as much my fault as it was the pep boys employee ) was that they never brought up the type of brake pads they were going to use. They ended up putting on a cheaper set of Wagner pads and I did notice the price they charged for the parts was definitely more then market value but the labor cost was not super crazy and I got my car back in a reasonable time so all in all a great experience. Almost half the price that a dealership was going to charge me.
Donβt waste your time. Had an appointment at 1PM. Arrived on time and was told I HAD A 90 MINUTE WAIT. I say Iβll come back and run other errands (not going to sit there for 2 hours). I come back 70 minutes later and was told since I left I lost my spot. There are too many auto shops to waste your time on this one.
I am giving four stars because prices are high. A pair of shocks that I was looking for were selling for $70.00. I found them online for $38.00.But, besides the prices it is good store. Nice and clean, well organized, good customer service.
Appointment made worth it
Got there when it opened at 7:30 am because i needed a front left turn signal bulb replaced. Difficult to replace myself due to mounting issues. The mechanic was able to replace the bulb with the assistance of the service representatives guidance who also pointed out the acid build up on my battery terminals. Had battery terminals clean and the service representative looked at the battery and informed me that the battery was still good and did not need to be replaced at this time when they could have sold me a new one. Appreciated his honesty and will definitely be back to purchase my next battery from them. Job completed by 9:15 am. Great job!

Jesus T not a real technician couldnβt possibly move any slower I believe he went and took a number two whil changing my oil! 2 hours is 2 long for oil change only didnβt even check tire pressure or the free tire rotation! In order for me to shop at Pep Boys, it all depends upon exactly what I need and/or what I am looking for and how much time Im have. If I am pressed for time and need to buy a car part, or if I want to get my tires checked on my car, then Pep Booys is the place I would go. Pep Boys also has a rewards program and checking the pressure or adding air to your tires is free of charge.And I am told that it is very important for your car tires to have the proper amount of air in them. And that can usually be found on the inside frame on the drivers side door.
From the front door to the back door, this staff is THE BEST IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA!! They are courteous, helpful and most of all honest !!
I had such a great experience here! My brake caliper was broke and I had NO CLUE! I called to see if I could come in (on a Saturday morning) and see if someone could check my car. ROSIE, the girl who helped me over the phone and in person, and CARLOS who worked on my car were so AMAZING and HELPFUL! I was really worried about my car and they both talked me through everything and made sure I got my car fixed within a few hours! Great customer service and overall experience!!!
Its hit or miss and always takes longer than you think it should. It has a great female manager at night. The work is good. They just seem to keep their customers waiting way way too long for the service.

What a bunch of fools. it takes some serious effort to compile such a large team of gross incompetence into one location.harsh assessment? maybe. untrue? not in the slightest.dropped off my car with these idiots at 10 am, had an appointment with them at 1pm for flat repair. they called and left a message around 11am. was told the tire needed to be replaced. asked how much time they would need to do so and they said 30 minutes to 1 hour. this was around 12 or so. i agreed to have the tire replaced and would pick up the car later.showed up to pick up the car around 5 pm. they first can not find any of the paperwork. they find the car eventually and say oh, the person that does this is on lunch break. well look into a discount for you.so you are telling me:1. theres only 1 person that knows how to put a tire on a car at pep boys2. hes been on break for over 4 hoursthey come back and offer 10% off.thanks pep boys for that 6 dollar discount. what a joke. took my car and left.im surprised they manage to find the light switch to turn the lights on in this place with the level of stupid this place employs. maybe its on a timer...
