I came here for the first time as a walk-in client. My experience exceeded all expectations from top to bottom. The owner was very kind and friendly, the wait on a Thursday afternoon wasnt more than 15 minutes, and overall customer service was excellent.Harry did an incredible job on my full set of stiletto extensions with chrome. They made sure I was 100% happy with my color and took all my notes about shape/length. It was very thorough and communication about what I wanted was excellent, even though I wasnt clear about the shape. Harry is truly meticulous and I would trust him to do a complicated style or more involved design. His taste is impeccable. He even shaved every edge of the inside of my nails evenly....

Update:Julia will make sure you are satisfied. She is by far the best business owner I have ever met. She CARES about your needs and wants and knows how to make you smile. Great lady, wonderful work ethic.I love my nail! I love Naomi! Great service, wonderful results. Nice and thin nails, the feel so durable and natural. Tip these techs they deserve every penny!

I absolutely love this salon. Juila is amazing with an amazing memory. She is very talented at all, nails, lashes, eyebrows. Ive been going here for about a year now and I wont go elsewhere. My nails will last a month without a fill and still look amazing! Harry is new nail tech and he is definitely worth the $. He is talented at free handing any nail design Ive asked for. Mai gives the best pedicure Ive ever had in my life! You will not be disappointed when you stop by.

I arrived at 10:30 and was seen at 11. I didn’t mind waiting because of all of the positive reviews. The nail tech put my fingers in acetone to soak the acrylic I had for over 40 minutes before returning to do my nails. Again, I didn’t mind the wait but I was starting to become concerned with how long it would take. The nail tech did a great job on my manicure! But when it came time to do the design I wanted, she informed me of the $10 up charge, which I didn’t have a problem with. At 12:30 she let me know that the owner would come over to finish the design because she didn’t feel confident to do them. At 1 a person came over to do the nail design I wanted. She looked at the picture and explained it would be a $20 up charge. I replied confused because I was told a different number. I then expressed my concern for the length of time it would take to get the design since I had already been there for 2 hours. She got offended and refused to do the design and offered a top coat and told me I can leave.

Very rude staff! They will make you feel bad/constantly question you for not wanting gel polish. My niece was in remission from cancer and I did not want to put uv lights near her so I opted for regular polish for her. Better places around Long Beach. Do not waste your time or money! They only want your money.

Unprofessional and poor quality fill in from Harry. Gel polish left all on my skin and he got rude when I asked for a file down to make my nails even. Still left with every nail uneven. Disgusting.Daisy who did my pedicure was great. However I will not be returning nor would I recommend because my nails are much more important.

Don’t trust anyone else with my nails or lashes, but Top Coat Nails and Lashes! They never disappoint, service is great. The owner Julia and her staff are amazing at what they do! If you’re in need of lashes or nails don’t hesitate and book your appointment.

I’ve been getting my nails done here for the past year... I would definitely recommend top coat nails! I am always welcomed with a smile and my nails look great! I drive 35 - 40 minutes from my house to go to this nail shop because I am so picky. The owners are always there - they are very nice. Julia truly cares so much about her customers and their experience!

Please don’t go do your lashes here I was recommended by a friend I went in to try it out got my eye lashes done within 2 days little pieces of hair start to fall off I called to tell them what was going on they agreed to fix the problem. Everything went well . Came in for the second time haven’t had my lashes not even for a week and they are falling off once again . My lashes don’t even look nice at all it was just that same day and that was it please don’t get your lashes done here it’s a waste of money down to the trash .

I honestly used to love coming to this place. But they dont care after awhile. I went in wanting a semi small design, ended up with nothing even close to what I wanted. Once I got home, I just cried. Naomi was probably their best tech and shes been gone since covid. I dont think Ill be returning until she returns, maybe not even then honestly. I dont know if we caught them on a bad day. But either way, I left feeling defeated and very upset. Some techs care about design and some care about shape, but either way, its unfair to do a design thats completely unlike what the customer asked for. I wasnt asking for exact, just something close and different from my normal styles. I even give them full range for creativity every time, but always leave with the most simplest and boring sets.

Coming in to the shop, I was welcomed with open smiles. Everyone was professional and was clean. I’m satisfied with my nails. Would come back! Highly recommend

Honestly, I wouldnt even give this nail shop a 1 star. I should have never stepped into this nail salon, but yelp had good reviews. The salon is dirty, the towels they use on their customers are dirty, they do not follow COVID regulations (6 feet apart), instead, they have it packed where everyone is sitting super close to each other. Please dont waste your time here.

I absolutely love Julia!!! I can express how professional she is and also she gets my shape down! She also does wonderful lashes! I love the way they look but if you are looking for a place to book appointments with, this wouldn’t be ideal. I keep booking appointments and they always get pushed and then when I arrive she is never ready. It’s usually another 30minute wait on average. It’s better to just do walk insWhen I first coming to her I never had a problem but now she doesn’t know how to manage time. It poorly done. The customer service has been bad for a few months. I tried to book with Julia and instead of trying to make things right she just said ‘I can’t book you’ even though I was trying to work around her schedule. This is because I left an honest review which I was willing to change if she would have made things right but apparently not worth it.

It was my first time stopping by Top Coat and I figured now that the nail shops are open why not give this place a try! I was in NEEEED of a pedicure and I walked in, asked if they had any open spots for me they quickly said yes unlike other shops who will deny service if they have too many people inside ..I got a gel pedicure and it was 30$ . I forgot my tech’s name but she did her thanggggg .. I will be returning! They’re all so welcoming and kind here. I highly recommend!

I got my nails done here and they did so well! I was greeted when I came in and they followed a ton of safety procedures. They had screens up to separate people for safety. All the workers were so nice and did an amazing job. Their prices are super reasonable too:) Highly recommend!

I went here last weekend. I was cautious because of covid but everything was covid friendly. Social distanced stations, everyone in masks and partitions that are up to block and make everything feel safe. Mai took her time, listened to what I wanted and did an awesome job. She was super friendly and I will definitely be coming back!

My friend and I had a terrible experience here today. This place has BAD customer service. They were rude and inconsiderate. We left after being sat at a manicure station and ignored for 40 minutes despite our appointment... I would never return.I called at 11 am and made an appointment for us at noon. We arrived 20 minutes early and they were busy. At 12:05 they sat my girl friend and then walked off. They left us waiting for another half an hour. During that time 4/6 manicure tables opened up. I checked up front twice to see when we would be getting service. After 35 minutes my friend went to tell them we were leaving. They came out and said they didnt have time for both of us and could only take one of us at a time. I was told appointments dont mean anything when they are busy. The thing is that 4 tables were open and im pretty sure they all took their lunch break at the same time.Instead of telling us they were too busy to honor their reservation, they ignored us for 40 minutes. What a waste of time!

Got a good value on a pedicure and gel acrylics. However the man doing my acrylics was kind of rough filing and peeled some skin.

Over priced for a full set. When questioned owner just walked away from me like if she was frustrated because I asked why so much for so short. Very unprofessional very disappointed in her attitude.Nail tech also said I could go somewhere else if I wanted yet I waited 1 hour & 30 mins after my appointment time . I will not be going back !

I gave only 3 stars because once I returned home and looked at my nail and feet I was not satisfied polish does not cover nails completely and the design on my nail although cute but is not smooth. I will say the shop was clean and up to date and they were friendly, maybe once everything fully opens the lighting will be better and these mistakes wont happen

I wouldn’t recommend this place i just came to get my nails done last week. I got a gel full set and the nail tech did not place the acrylic up to my cuticle all the way so after 3 days it looked like I needed a fill. So i came back to the shop to fix them and a chipped nail and she told me she would charge me $25 after i just had paid $36 for my full set 3days ago. So i said, “cool ill pay” so after i told her I wanted them the same color she was still lazy enough to say, “write down the numbers of the colors you want” so she still wanted me to choose the colors for her since it was 5 different shade pinks, ANYWAYS IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR GOOD QUALITY NAILS THAT LAST LONG AND LOOK GOOD, I RECOMMEND BEE’s NAILS IT IS JUST RIGHT UP THE STREET ON CHERRY & ANAHEIM SHE HAS REALLY GOOD PRICES TO.

Before a week my nail has chipped and broke. My toe still hurts I think its infected . Ive never had these problems before but my 1st time at this shop I loved the experience but the after math is causing me pain and more money. I will never return there. My finger and toe is in pain and feels infected. What did you do to me? 🤬 And Julianana you have the nerve to tax the prices for this pain I dont think so like I stated before Ill never return or recommend this place!

Great service! Get the deluxe pedi, it comes with a massage and exfoliant. My technician had strong hands that turned my feet into putty and she was vigorous with the exfoliation. I dont think my feet have ever felt so soft and pampered after a pedi.

AMAZING JOB ! The nail tech is so BOMB ! She perfected my shaped so well, other salons in Long Beach usually when you tell them coffin they curve the ends but here at top coat she perfects them as how actual coffin shaped are ! Very perscide and straight at the ends . She’s very professional and amazing at when she does . My go to nail shop also the set up in the shop is beautiful!!!
