Love Dan & the team, very much. Been going since the days of the Livonia Mall & lived close by. Even when we moved a bit of a difference away I would get in there when possible. Introduced my grandson to Dan and he loved Dan, and a great haircut was had every single visit. COVID came and Dan had to institute some very necessary and new procedures to make everyone safe, a great job. BP then went to appointments only and I thought that was a great idea, in a way I still do. The problem now is that is impossible to get in as with activities change almost daily making it so tough to sign up knowing the possibility of cancelling or forgetting to cancel. So I go in to schedule this mid-week and the Saturday appointments are full. I give up. I miss the days where you could pop in and it was first come with first served. Now, with people who really dont struggle with schedules, they get the nod. Miss you guys, youre the best, but really wish you would go back to the original way of seating customers.Oh, and I will comment to Mr. Howard. If you are going to post, then post factual comments, not ones for your friends. As long time customers, not sure what you are talking about because nothing is ever on display except haircuts and good conversation. I see you took some comments from a year ago and paraphrased them, so please stop, their business is NOTHING you describe. Great people who have great kindness for others. My guess is you likely have never been there.

This establishment was once a great barber shop. Unfortunately the jealousy between the staff and one of their own stylist was very clear. As a patron, I should not have to observe visible tension between the staff.This barber shop could return to its former glory by not smack talking each other and show support for your coworkers. This would create a more comfortable environment, so it isnt so awkward getting a hair cut here.Wishing you the best.

One if the few places that I can still get a straight razor shave on my head, they can do faces and beards after the pandemic. All chairs and tools are cleaned before each use. I go to Sabrina but they are all excellent.

Sabrina is an amazing stylist with flexible hours. I always receive compliments on my haircut after seeing her, and I would recommend he to any of my friends or any man needing a well-executed mens haircut.

I am friends with a former stylist who was treated badly. I dont believe she was treated fairly or equally to other employees. You may call it insubordination, I call it discrimination. When you tell one employee they are allowed to do something and tell another one that they are not allowed to do the same thing, it isnt right. You arent running a place that new people will want to work at, or be a customer to. It is very unprofessional to talk smack about former employees. No worries though, because my friend is on to bigger and better things!

I have been going to Dan for a haircut for over 30 plus years..He is by far the best and nicest barber l ever met....Before Dan....l had haircuts from a dozen plus barbers...when l got one from Dan ...it was so perfect....l decided to stay with Dan....best decision l ever made.

Went down there to get my beard align properly. The barber, I wish I remembered the gentlemans name, was an older gentleman and he was fantastic. Gave great advice not only and how to maintain the beers, but some of the pitfalls that he had learned early on and some tips and tricks to make a beard look more full. At $5 I thought the advice alone is worth it, and the cut was amazing. I will absolutely be there again.

I went here for a beard trim, It was a very nice shop. I remember going to an older gentlemen. He was very nice and all but when it came down to trimming my beard he did a good job. He also trimmed into my hair a little bit, actually a lot so i had to go to another shop to get a haircut. To conclude i give two stars based on how nice this gentlemen was, if only he didnt trim up into my hair it would be 5 stars

Ive been coming here my whole life. All my family comes here and so do my friends. Scott gave me my first real haircut. All the barbers are great. Ive never had a bad experience. So many memories coming here when I was a kid.

They are always doing a great jobs for me,employees are very friendly and best of all I am their customers since 1994 when they were in Livonia mall. 21 years later I am still enjoy getting my haircut with them.For sure there will be many many years to come.

DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in for a simple straight-edge neck shave and a beard lineup. An old man was taking care of me, so I assumed I was in the hands of someone with decades of experience. WRONG! First he used clippers and asked me if it looked good. No! I asked for a straight-edge. Then he grabbed his straight-edge razor and gave it another run. But for some reason he kept the guard on which is only used for hair cutting, not shaving. When I pointed that out to him, he took the guard off and gave it a third run. The shave felt like he was pulling my facial hair out one by one. Still not a clean cut. I was sent over to someone elses chair. She gave a fourth run at shaving me and it still looked like I shaved yesterday.I wasted 50 minutes with four shave passes by two people and it still looked horrible. I suppose in hindsight I should have known better than to go to a place in a run down plaza. Lesson learned.

I was very sad when I came in to get my hair done by Marcya & I was informed she was fired. I won’t be returning.

Quick, Fresh, and Knowledgeable. Love the old-timey feel of a classic barbershop. Been going for about 3 years, and never had a bad haircut.

Friendly staff I will say. I’ve been going here almost a year. Tried 3 different barbers that work here. I have yet to be satisfied with a single cut I’ve ever gotten. Some are ok at best. Always leave with bushy hair on the sides. They cut the front of your hair in a straight line and leave the middle and back longer than the front. Nothing is ever even or proportional. I show the same picture every time and get a different cut every time. Not the place to go for a fade you will be disappointed. Everytime I leave here I am severely let down. I get a cut once a month so that’s about 10 chances I’ve given them. The last haircut i received is the worst haircut I’ve ever had in my life. I called to ask if i could come in during their normal business hours to try to get it fixed (on Friday). Their only concern was leaving an hour early for the holiday weekend. I’ll be finding a new barber.

I have been with this business since I was born my grandpa Robert Post started this all out in 1987 and I never got to meet me grandfather but look what he did, he brought a well known barber shop and passed it down to my dad, Dan Post, and my Uncle, Scott Post. They moved the location but not far so they could still keep the loving customers. My Uncle Scott passed away not to long ago and now it is all on my dad Dan. The new generation of the posts are me and my brother Jacob, and Jonah, but we dont know what is going to happen yet we hope to find out soon and try to keep this history going! ~Jacob Post

This place is hit or miss. Theres 3 good barbers here. The rest it depends. 2 ladys up front always do a good job.

The hair stylist put a mask on before she started cutting my hair but when we were done she was wearing it as a chin strap.

I have been going to the Barbers Post since I was very young when it was still Eugenios in the Livonia Mall. It is hands down the only place to go and get your haircut. The staff is very friendly and do a great job. They do a hot lather neck shave on EVERY cut free of charge. I highly recommend it!

Ive been coming here for over 12 years. They have quality, friendly barbers (male/female) and still give a hot lather shave around your ears and neck.I forgot cash one day and the owner told me to pay next time. Now they accept cards.

!!!!! Update... Found scott his shop is Nyc to the D.. 6683 middle belt garden city. . He is the best barber 💈 in this entire area .. No more getting bad haircuts and having to shave my head!!!!!!! No more cigarette stinking hands in my face and hairstylist in a barbershop!!!! !!! Dont go here unless you like to go to another place to get it fixed or in my case go home and shave my head bald, abosulete worse place to get a haircut.. I use to go here in livonia mall. I received a bad haircut by noreen went home shaved my head .I went back for Dan and he was in back on lunch. So I let new guy cut it and got best haircut I have ever had by that guy from new York city I went back for 6 months and he cut my hairperfect everytime last week I went back and they said he quit and bad mouthed him for opening his own shop .. I tried to leave and noreen who was out front smoking a cigarette said Haliegh can do a bald fade .So I said hey give it a try... Mistake..first indicator was how she was more worried about her phone.. I asked for a bald fade which I expected to be a fade not bald to the top super high and tight with a clump of hair left on top of my head . i asked her how long she was a barber and she said she was a hairstylist. Great I go to a barbershop expecting barbers not lady Janes as haliegh said she came from and great clips rejects the annoying woman said she came from . I went to bathroom to look at My cut up close... I was mad so I wanted to just leave well woman who works at last station who wouldnt stop talking during my frustrating haircut saying she came from great clip prison kept trying to talk to me.. I left went home and shaved my head... This place is not a barbershop its chop shop that dont have a clue how to cut hair. I called back asked to speak to Dan the owner who Ive known for years and whoever answered the phone who I found out was haliegh, was the manager .I told her how horrible her cut was and she said LIKE DUDE WHATEVER and hung up.. .. DAN YOU LOST A CUSTOMER THAT YOUR FATHER CUT MY GRANDFATHER, YOUR BROTHER CUT MY FATHER AND MYSELF. WHERE DID THE BIG GUY FROM NEW YORK OPEN HIS OWN SHOP ?
