They came out quickly to check out a leak. After assessing the issue we were quoted $600 to repair. 15 minutes later and 2 feet of pvc and they were finished. Now, i could have bought a 12 section of pvc for under $20.00 but they charged me over $400 for 2! They were there less than 30 minutes and charged me $550! Totally ripped me off!!! Well, at least he was under his quote.

I watched the owner of the company Jason Cottrell and another guy assault another person inside gateway supply Co. I felt that it was very unprofessional for an owner of a company to act that way and put their hands on someone no matter the situation. I didnt see the other guy do anything to provoke the incident so if I ever needed a plumber I will call someone else and I advise others do the same. The situation was very difficult to understand why a business owner would ever want to treat someone the way he did in public.

I cannot express enough my gratitude for Josh at Cottrell, his customer service is above and beyond any expectation. He was extremely informative, professional, and friendly. Our AC unit had pretty much died on us on a Friday afternoon, he came out and inspected the unit... diagnosed the issue and was able to order parts on Monday to come and repair it. Not only that, but during the weekend he knew it would be too hot so he left us with two portable AC units to get us by... Josh is a great asset to any company and has guaranteed that I do business with them going forward permanently. We are purchasing a new home in the next six months and he will be my go to guy when it comes to getting it inspected. Also, they are VERY, VERY reasonable with costs... the price was basically the cost of the part plus a little for labor... I offered to give more to him personally because I thought the service was so excellent and he instead said the best tip would be to leave this review... which I gladly will do so... he was an amazing guy! Cottrell was the third company I called about servicing our vent-less gas log fireplace. Both of the other companies were more than four weeks out with appointments, but Cottrell had one available within 10 days. The plumber (Micah) called almost 40 minutes ahead of my scheduled window to confirm if anyone was home, showed up earlier than expected, and both she and the gentleman with her with professional and courteous. The service took less than an hour and Micah spent almost 10 minutes explaining the functionality of the system as we had been unable to use the remote that came with the system. Both employees wore masks and shoe coverings the entire time. This was the first time I have used Cottrells services and will certainly call them first the next time I have any need for plumbing or gas service!

I purchased a Rinnai tankless heater that was on clearance for almost 50% off, and contracted Cottrell & Co to install it. Josh came over and did a very professional, friendly, and fair estimate - along with explaining the practical differences of going from tank to tankless heaters. After signing the quote, it was about 2 business days lead time on the install. Brett did it in a day and the quality of work was very high - he also hauled away my old water heater and shed. Their work was not inexpensive, but given the quality and warranty, worth the price to me.

As always the folks at Cottrell did a wonderful job. We had a toilet leak caused by a toilet fill valve supply line nut failure. They came and checked it out and gave us not only a working toilet but also peace of mind. We use Cottrell for all of our plumbing and HVAC repairs and maintenance. I recently developed a problem with my kitchen sink which, try as I might, I just couldnt fix myself. I was recommended 2 plumbers and I actually called the other one first, but they couldnt see me for a week. I called Cottrell next, and they fit me in the next day. They arrived on time for the appointment window (actually a few minutes early, which I appreciated) and explained my options and costs associated with each. They got the job done in less than 45 minutes, explained everything they were doing and kept me updated during the process. They cleaned up after themselves beautifully, and charged me exactly what they quoted, which was a fair price, even though they had to put a little more effort into it than they initially thought. They were professional and friendly, and were even sweet with my dog. I am so very pleased with my experience with them that I will recommend them to everyone, and they will be my first call if I ever need a plumber again.

He wasnt able to find the source for certain, but he was able to rule out pipe leaks and narrow down the issue with information on the next steps we can take. I’ve been repairing things at a house I’m selling and at a house I just bought for 3 months now. Lots and lots of contractors and companies. Some good, some bad, but enough bad I get anxiety just thinking about calling to have any kind of issue fixed. Bret from this company was the best and most professional person I’ve worked with regarding a repair on a house. I will be doing all my plumbing and hvac business with them going forward and providing this review to my 2 realtors. They did an entire days work replacing cast iron pipes for a reasonable price. When a new issue popped up, they tried to address it and didn’t charge me any extra when they couldn’t despite spending a quarter of a day longer than expected already. An hvac duct was knocked down during the repairs and they came back as soon as possible with a hvac tech to repair it at no charge. I can’t recommend this company enough

Amazing service! We had Micah install a new set of logs in one fireplace and clean and service an existing set. I was very pleased with my service experience, I contacted Cottrell about running a natural gas line under my house for a gas stove. I initially contact them via email and they were always fast to respond. The appointment for the estimate was scheduled in a very timely manner and the technician was right on time. The day the work was to be completed, it was clearly communicated to me that an emergency had to be dealt with first but the technician was able to let me know when they would show up and they were right on time. The technicians were very professional and completed the work to a high level. No complaints about the entire process or work completed.

Cottrell & Co came to where I work to fix some plumbing issues and the techs were very knowledgeable and curtious. They were able to fix everything quickly and made sure we were informed as they went along in the process. One of their drivers lives in my neighborhood in White Knoll and always takes care to drive careful which as a mother means a lot to me. All around they are a good company with great people working there!

I have used this company for plumbing services for over 15 years. They are consistently excellent. My most recent experience with Josh and Jason was also top notch. They replaced a rinnai tankless water heater and were polite, professional, knowledgeable and kept me updated throughout the process. Highly recommended.

They came out to look at our HVAC on 08/15. Prior to and during the visit my wife and I described the problems. They had ideas about what might be wrong, but were unable to find anything wrong at the time. They charged $89. Two days later, HVAC is having the same issues we described the first time, which they were unable to diagnose during the first visit. Offered to come out again, said they’d waive the diagnostic fee if they could figure out the problem, but if not they would charge another $89. I sent an email to a supervisor, who said this is fair.UPDATE: They (Josh) did issue a refund for the initial visit, after I sent them the invoice from the second company we used. They (Josh) also stated that in hindsight they shouldn’t have charged for a second visit. I appreciated both responses.The company I decided to go with said, without dispute or a chain of argumentative emails, that any visit within 30 days, given that it was for the same problem as the first visit, would be considered a call back, and they wouldn’t charge us a second fee.

Cameron and everyone that helped him out were awesome. It took a while to get the proper part to repair my AC, but that was because Cameron went the extra mile trying to get the manufacturer to help since the breakdown was a result of their inferior original part (this wasnt a system originally installed by Cottrell, and not a brand they typically install).The guys were here for quite a while and made sure to explain what was done. They also made improvements on the units original install while in the attic. Im writing this review literally minutes after they left, but I can say you wont beat these guys on price or service. Theyre a local shop that doesnt have to charge exorbitant prices to pay for TV and radio ads to get business.

My water heater stopped working yesterday. I called Cottrell this morning at 7 a.m. and a very polite young lady answered the phone immediately. Even though they were already booked for the day, I had a technician at my home by 6 pm. Josh was probably the best service technician I have dealt with. Extremely professional and had the unit installed in no time. He answered all of my questions easily. And even though it was Friday evening, he still had another call to go to after mine. Not once did he complain about it being so late. Hands down, I would refer anybody who needs a professional plumber to definitely call them. :)

These guys are second to NONE. I just had Johnny and Brendon come out to my house to look at my water pressure. Within 5 minutes they did more than the previous plumber did in an hour. They found the problem and solved it and were super nice the entire time. Outstanding job!

Had an emergency come up with water leaking from the air handler due to a clogged drain line. We were leaving the next day for the week and needed it fixed. We called after 9 pm and they had Cameron out about an hour later. He called ahead to get an idea of what it was and knew from the details that I gave him. He got it fixed quickly and also set up a follow up appointment to do a few other things to make sure it wouldnt happen again. I would use them anytime!

We have been using Cottrell & Co. for about 5 years. The staff from the office managers to the plumbers are always professional and friendly. They have replumbed one large ranch style house for me and I was very pleased. They did an excellant job of explaining what they were doing and how they would do the replumbing. They were quiet, no loud music blasting while working, and cleaned up after the job was finished. I felt the cost was reasonable.Cottrell has also done smaller jobs in my condo. They usually are able to come the day you call or within 24 hours. All of the plumbers are polite, professional, dont mind answering questions and explain what they are doing and what might have caused it. They also wear shoe protectors which is important to me. I highly recommend them and would not consider using anyone else.

These guys are amazing! Ive used them twice and both times they were punctual and proficient. I ran into my water spigot with my lawnmower and the pipe burst and started leaking into my crawl space. It created a small lake under my house in minutes. I called them and Jason was there quick and had the problem solved in under half an hour. The price was reasonable, especially since it was a Saturday. I highly recommend them.

Brett came to uninstall our water and garbage disposal before new granite was installed. He came back to reinstall it all. The job was done efficiently and as described. Dont let these guys fool you. When it comes to large commercial projects they are out of their league. Under bid project due to lack of knowledge. Backed out of contract week prior to start date. Never rendered services and still cashed check for $10,000.00. Good little mom & pop outfit but large projects are well out of their league! Hope no one else gets burned by them!

I called around 7 am one morning after my unit was making a horrible noise from the night before. Bobby was at my house by lunch the same day and was able to locate the problem and had my ac back up and running within the hour! I felt like he was honest with me about the problem and didn’t try to scam me and was professional throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend these guys!!

Cottrell’s Plumbing is an excellent company with a caring professional staff. I am a very satisfied customer who will always call on them for there service. Recently, during the Christmas holidays, I had a temporary dental piece accidentally fall into the drain of my bathroom sink. The manager on duty, Josh, came to my house within (15) minutes and recovered the dental piece in just a few moments. Josh would not charge me for there service; he was glad that he could help. Jason, the company owner, Josh and there entire staff are awesome!I had to have Cottrell’s return last week for another plumbing matter. I spoke with Nicole the receptionist requesting assistance. Initially the earliest a technician could respond was the next day; however, she soon made arrangements for a technician to come that day. Not your average plumbing company! I called Cottrell out after a $150 water bill (usually$40) and Justin had me diagnosed and fixed in about 10 minutes. Great customer service and extremely fair prices for the amount of quality provided.

BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICES!!My partner and I are always impressed at how fast and friendly our experiences are with Cottrell Heating and Plumbing. No one likes to call a Plumbing or an HVAC company because it usually means that you are going to fork out some money. With this company we have never felt ripped off or taken advantage of and the people that do the work are friendly and professional. A couple of years ago they came out to re-do the gas line to our heating unit and our hot water heater went out during the coldest week of winter. The guys that were doing the work offered to bring us space heaters because we had a child under the age of one and they wanted to make sure that our little guy would be alright. This time our HVAC unit has completely stopped working and they brought us a portable air unit to help keep us cool until they can get the new unit installed. They are simply the BEST at customer service!! They will always be our number one call for any HVAC or Plumbing issues.

We recently had to have a new HVAC system installed. It was long overdue and a process that we were dreading!When we finally decided to have this done, we called Cottrell & Co. because they had done such an awesome job with some plumbing work we had done in the past.Bobby came out quickly for the estimate, and gave our system a thorough examination. The next day, he, Brandon, and Cameron started to replace our HVAC. The crew was extremely professional and polite. More importantly, I was very impressed with how concerned Bobby was that we understood and agreed to everything happening throughout the whole process.As far as the system itself goes, its so amazing! This time last year our old unit would run 24/7 and could not get our house colder than 78/80 during the day. Our new unit keeps our house at 70 at all times and definitely does not run all day. The best part though, my electric bill has cut almost in half!Thank you Cottrell & Co. for consistently being the best at what you do, whether it be plumbing or HVAC!

Quoted me $18400 for a 2.5 bath 1835 sq ft house absolutely REDICULOUS, never called to ask qualifying questions had to call 2x and stop in 1x to get this done 3 weeks later really? 2017 and your still quoting crappy electric water heater.... Total job will be less then 100 ft of 4 drain and maybe 150 of cpvc upstairs bathrooms is right above downstairs bathroom and laundry room

I feel higjly over charged for 20 minutes of work . I understand im paying for a srevice but 450..00 to change tbe fill valves in my toilets is ridiculously high .then i had to get a outher plumber to adhust the water levels in tbe tanks
